Kyoko in Naruto Shippuden

Kakashi gave an eye smile, "Ready?"

Naruto nodded, "Yup."

Sasuke, "Everything is good to go."

Temari was serious, "Ready as could be."

Kyoko, "Let's go ~"

Shikamaru was standing calm though there was worry in his eye, "I will keep an eye out on things here."

Kyoko, "Make sure none of the patients try to use any chakra or jutsus for a few days."

Shikamaru smirked at that, "Sure mama Koko."

Naruto giggled and Kyoko rolled her eyes then the group consisting of Suna and Konoha shinobi followed Kakashi who had the lead. Kakashi put a brutal pace rushing across the large Suna desert and reaching the forest North of Suna in two hours. The Sun was peaking on the horizon as they started to travel through the forest area while Sasuke kept a close eye on Kakashi's health and chakra level. The stabilized eye may no longer absorb huge amounts of chakra like before but the Rinnengan was still pretty powerful in it's own right. It was always wise to deal or handle artifacts of power with caution in order to avoid unwanted incidents.

Sasuke still remembers those certain incidents after all of Team Seven was promoted, they went off with different teachers. Kakashi was left with a lot of free time well not exactly a lot as thanks to the change in the Hokage position they had to really amp the security. Their silver haired Sensei along with Shisui had rejoined the ANBU to keep the Godaime safe during the meetings outside the village. From time to time Kyoko had joined the Godaime's entourage as the Head medic, though it was mostly to showcase Kyoko's ability. Sasuke was still unsure about showing their hand but then again saving the Kage of Kumo was a good way to have them in their favor.

Unfortunately, not everything goes according to plan and someone thought attacking a medic under ANBU Inu's care was a great idea. Everyone that day was reminded why ANBU Inu had been considered for the head position of ANBU at the age of fifteen and why there was a flee on sight order in the bingo book. Kyoko had after that particular incident hunted Kakashi down and demanded he teach her Kenjutsu. Kakashi had bluntly warned her it would be a torturous training schedule and he would put her through hell. Kyoko had given him a very evil grin telling him to do so, she needed ideas for future training. Kakashi simply snorted and agreed. The team stopped as night fell to rest after a long day of running.

Kakashi, "Konoha will take first two watches."

Tachiba, "Suna will deal with the last two."

Kyoko took the first watch, "My healing abilities help me recover faster. You boys get rest."

Kakashi, "Mn. I will join you all the same. Better safe than sorry."

Kyoko raised an eyebrow but agreed after a while, "I suppose we are in enemy territory. Very well Sensei."

Sasuke, "I will take the second watch with Naruto then."

Naruto gave them a grin, "It's fine by me."

Kyoko nodded and made herself comfortable, 'I hope Gaara and Shukaku are alright.'

Kakashi poked her, "Do not frown so much. You will get wrinkles."

Kyoko laughed, "Aye sir."

Kakashi eye smiled as Kyoko stopped frowning and started to hum softly while keeping an eye out using her clones. The silver haired man still remembers the first time his little Koko had caught his attention, it was after the investigation on Danzo started. In the beginning, the investigation had gone according to the rules with ANBU taking over the case. Then there was an inquiry from the civilian side to re - open the Hatake Sakumo case. When Kakashi had first heard of it, he had been furious and wanted to know who would have the audacity. When he found out it was a civilian child, his curiosity peaked despite his anger.

Kakashi had given the go ahead after his curiosity had won out and he had decided to get a good laugh when she realized there was no difference. But that had not been the case, Kyoko had headed to the hospital with the signed letter and then approached one of the newer nurses. The clever little thing had used those big brown doe like eyes to request her help with the Academy project. The Nurse had melted and agreed to help her out by taking out Sakumo Hatake's file as long as she was present. Kyoko had cheered like an adorable little child who was given candy for being good. Kakashi was expecting her to leave after reading the report about his father's suicide but that did not happen.

He then noticed her eyes that were actually reading the content and looking at the picture of his father's body through different angles. She then thanked the nurse for her help and left, heading to where the Hatake compound was. Kakashi had for a moment forgotten he had given her permission to check the case, which would allow her to enter the currently closed state. Kyoko went directly to the room where his father had committed suicide and was she attempting to repeat the action? He had jumped in to stop her demanding to know what she was thinking getting her to blink. The little minx had replied it did not look like he impaled himself but someone else had done so.

ANBU Inu had been skeptical but after she explained it was a fake sword and would not hurt her, he had let go. Kyoko attempted to recreate the scene only for it to fall short and not match the photos. Yeah, there was something else going on and despite his anger, frustration and many other feelings he listened to her theory. The clever Minx had found out Sakumo was sabotaged in many ways which made his eyebrows rise. She shot him very straight forward facts, the mission Sakumo went on was an S - rank mission and the law states no one is allowed to talk about it. When was the last time someone found out about his S - rank mission aside from the Hokage and Head ANBU.

Then there was the suicide case itself, if Sakumo had truly killed himself the cut should be shaped inward and not outward as shown in the photo. ANBU Inu had just stared at her and realized someone had covered his father's death and wanted him gone for some reason or another. He had grabbed the young Naiko and shun shined all the way to the Hokage's office making the old man make a face. Kakashi had wondered if this was a good idea, he was following a lead made by a civilian child, but maybe he was just desperate to hear his father had not committed suicide. Shikaku had eyed him and Naiko before sighing and asking what they were up to and why an ANBU was carrying a child around.

Little Naiko had then opened her mouth and demanded a full blown investigation on the Sakumo case as it was not a suicide but a murder. The pin - drop silence had almost made Kakashi cackle at the flabbergasted looks on their faces. Then the Hokage cleared his throat and asked her to explain what she meant prompting her to take out pictures and explain her thought process. The whole time she was being held by Kakashi who was observing the proceedings feeling like he was just waking up from a really terrible nightmare. The Nara and the Hokage looked like they swallowed a lemon but could not deny the facts Naiko supplied. The shit show after that was crazy and Danzo was executed in grounds of treason and betrayal.

Kyoko, "Sensei, our time is up."

Kakashi, "Hm. Indeed, good night Kyoko - tan."

Kyoko, "Night, sleep well Sensei."

Naruto, "Good night nee - chan. Do not worry, Sasuke and I will keep a look out."

Sasuke, "It will be fine. I know you are worried."

Kyoko, "Can you blame me? A group out there is crazy enough to actually go and challenge the nine beasts. I am more than worried, Ruru - tan. I am wary of them."

Kakashi, "Well, we will figure out what they are like tomorrow. We are close to where they are now."

Sasuke nodded, "Get rest."

The next day the group rushed to where the trail of chakra led them to after a quick breakfast. They were standing in front of a waterfall that looked very normal from the outside, that is if you ignored Shukaku's angry chakra flowing out. Temari wanted to go in but Naruto pointed out the seals on the wall of the waterfall and how they would trigger if they went near the place. Tachiba eyed the seals around the area noticing more than ten which made Naruto hum and then created twelve clones. The blond explained the seal was a twelve mark seal and they had to get rid of them in one go to avoid getting blown up. The group waited as Naruto and his clones dismantled the seals around the waterfall and a bit further.

Temari, "His seal work never fails to amaze me."

Kyoko, "Right? And I bet he is the only one who can work as well as he does with seals."

Sasuke, "Someone's coming."

Tachiba, "Battle stations."

Kakashi, "Temari, Kyoko, Naruto, you three go in while we stay here and distract them."

A familiar voice came, "Well, well, well, we meet again."

Kyoko, "Kisame - chan. Oro - tan is not with you?"

Orochimaru hissed, "My name is Orochimaru, not Oro - tan, you little demon in human flesh."

Naruto bristled, "Do not insult my nee - chan."

Kisame chuckled, "Still the short tempered brat when it comes to your nee - chan, I see. Well then, we cannot have you lot here, interfering with the process."

Kakashi, "Chidori!"

Orochimaru jumped away with his partner from the water, "Ara ~ Ara ~ Kashi - chan, such power. You did not even require to use hand seals."

Kakashi gave a cocky answer, "Like it's hard."

Kisame twitched at that, "I do not like you."

Tachiba, "Sand spear!"

Orochimaru, "Kusanagi! Oh my! If that spear had hit me, I would have been unconscious."

Kisame, "My Samehada is hungry too."

Tachiba, "Kakashi - san, let's defeat Kisame first."

Kyoko, "I want that sword."

Sasuke sweat dropped, "You can check them out later Koko. Let's focus on getting Gaara out first."

Temari, "Agreed! Although I have to admit that, it is a very interesting sword."

Naruto giggled as they entered the cave though it did not look like the shinobi were trying to stop them. It made him fear for the worse when he reached the main area and found Gaara who was on the floor with a long haired shinobi sitting on top of him. Temari screeched angrily at the S - ranked shinobi demanding her brother back from the bastard and Naruto could not fault her for that reaction. If he had seen Kyoko nee - chan in a similar manner he would be shouting at the bastards to let his nee - chan go as well. He had a feeling he would go full on nine tails if it were him and he prepared to get Gaara out while Kyoko and Temari attacked the shinobi.

Naruto, "I will take the puppet guy."

Temari, "That blondie is mine. How dare that bastard treat my brother that way!"

Deidara, "Oooh! What a scary big sister, un."

Sasori, "Just be careful Deidara."

Deidara flew out, "Yeah, yeah."

Temari, "No Gaara."

Naruto, "Temari, follow them in the air. I will keep up on the ground."

Kyoko, "That leaves us, Sasori of the sand."

Sasori, "Yes, Sun Healer of Konoha."

Kyoko then jumped away from the puppet that attacked the place she was on and took out her specialized staff. It had been a few years since the Chunin exams when she first used it and had gotten better control over it. The brunette hit the ground and vines sprung up to counter the various puppet hands and weapons. Sasori was forced to move from his place as vines and trees attacked the cave they were in causing an explosion of forest green. This was seen by everyone who was fighting making them pause their fight for a moment and stare at the sudden appearance of the forest from the cave.

Orochimaru twitched, "How did she get the plant release?"

Kakashi eye smiled, "Like it's hard ~"

Orochimaru glared, "I will destroy you and then I will take that girl with me to study her. She is too much of a risk to be allowed to roam around freely as an enemy."

Kakashi's eyes glared at Orochimaru for a split second then smiled, "Oh! I am afraid you will have to do more than destroy me to get one of my pups."

Kisame was laughing boisterously, "If you do get her. Let me play with her for a bit."

Sasuke snarled, "Over my dead body Shark face."

Kisame, "Well, well, well. What do you know? This little brat has the Rinnengan too."

Tachiba, "Enough! You are not touching Naiko - san. If you do, just know Sand will join forces with Konoha to hunt you down."
