Kyoko in Naruto Shippuden

Kakashi woke up early the next day to find he was being cuddled by his three teenage almost adult shinobi. Kyoko was on his right, Sasuke on his left and Naruto was almost completely on top of him, sleeping peacefully. Bluntly speaking, Kakashi did not want to move from where he is, as he felt very warm and comfortable despite the weight. But he had to get up, as they needed to prepare for the Jounin test Sasuke had been pushing back. Just like Neji, Lee, Tenten and Shikamaru, Sasuke had been appointed for a promotion to the Jounin level but he had pushed it back citing personal reasons. But now the team was together Kakashi was pretty sure Sasuke would take part in the exam and pass with flying colours.

Kyoko woke up at the movement yawning, "Good morning Sensei, boys, are you awake yet?"

Naruto as well, "Morning. I am awake but this is too comfy."

Sasuke grunted, "Yeah, don't move. I missed cuddling like this."

Kakashi chuckled, "A few minutes more but after that we have to move my little pups. I believe you need to prepare for the Jounin level exam Sasuke. You have stalled it long enough."

Sasuke grumbled, "Why couldn't I be a Tokubetsu Jounin as well? I would not have to worry about promotions then."

Kyoko laughed, "Guess it was luck."

Naruto giggled, "Don't worry Sasuke, we will support you. Oh! I noticed Neji, Lee, Tenten and Shikamaru were wearing Jounin vests too. Temari as well maybe, I am not sure."

Kakashi ran his hands through his blond student's hair, "They were, Gai's team cleared the Jounin exam one and half years ago. Shikamaru cleared it last year and I am sure Temari is a freshly minted Jounin."

Sasuke stretched his back lazily, "I believe she got a field promotion after saving the Rock Daimyo's grandson."

Naruto looked surprised at that, "She was not planning on the promotion?"

Kyoko hummed, "No, I think she wanted to master a few more air based jutsus before accepting the title of Jounin, but that incident happened and she got promoted on the field."

Sasuke, "She can still master them but she has more responsibilities too now."

Naruto pouted then, "Does that mean when Sasuke becomes a Jounin our time together will decrease as well?"

Kyoko pat his back in comfort, "Looks like it but don't worry Naruto we will figure something out, you will see."

Kakashi hummed listening to his three pups almost wolves plan methods and ways to spend time together. He decided the other Jounin and ANBU members can deal with the preparations along with his clones. He was going to spend time with his pups instead, well, they are no longer pups now but they will always be one in his eyes. Was he playing a fine line between following the rule and insubordination? Yes, yes he was. Did he really care? Not at all, he has been doing this for years. The only difference between his past and current self was the fact he had three very valid reasons for it. His three pups turned to him and shared plans to have a private party with just the four of them after the exam.

Kakashi, "Now, how can I say no to my pups?"

Sasuke gave a small smile, "Good, because even if you did reject the idea I know Kyoko here will find a way to make sure you join us."

Kyoko puffed up, "Of course I will. We are shinobi which means our life expectancy is unsure. So, we should make happy and fun memories to remember others by."

Naruto grinned, "And I will help hide the evidence of tampering and manipulation. I have gotten good at hiding my trails."

Kakashi bellowed a laugh, "I believe you, my clever little wolves."

Naruto, "Did you hear that?"

Sasuke smirked, "Looks like the shinobi promotions are not the only ones we got."

Kyoko, "I am not complaining. We should wash up and have breakfast before we leave. Any special requests for breakfast?"

Naruto beamed asking for banana pancakes while Sasuke requested a tomato stuffed omelet with toast and Kakashi offered to help. The morning was all in all very peaceful with Kyoko informing them about how her father was now a Jounin Sensei while her mother took over as Head Secretary. Naruto was happy to hear his adopted parents were doing well, he had seen them the previous night getting tight hugs from them. But he had not seen them after waking up, though now he knew why, being the Head Secretary and a Sensei were two busy jobs. After their breakfast Kakashi left to join the others in the observation area while Sasuke and his team entered the exam area.

Itachi, "Senpai, good morning."

Shisui, "You look happy."

Kakashi, "What can I say? I am very excited about my student clearing the Jounin level."

Anko, "Of course, you are. If only my little snakelings would agree to taking the test. It would be nice to have them work shoulder to shoulder with me."

Kurenai, "Same! I know Hinata has what it takes to be a Jounin but she insists on learning and mastering more healing techniques. I swear she is a perfectionist."

Asuma, "Ino, has thrown herself into training and despite my reassurance she says she is not ready yet. I thank Kami, Shikamaru got his promotion already."

ANBU Ox, "The participants are ready to begin."

Sasuke looked at the paper he had received, "The first exam is an information gathering test."

Kyoko, "What information? I have dirt on almost everyone we have met."

Naruto grinned, "Ooh! New gossip, so what is it, Sasuke?"

The observers sweat dropped at the evil cackle coming from Naiko while Kakashi just eye smiled radiating smugness. Kyoko had the habit of making clones and practicing henge on them before sending them to patrol the village. The silver haired man had no doubts that his little wolves knew, he had gone through her collection of data. She was very thorough, it was sometimes terrifying how Kyoko could easily gather data that was being searched by other ANBU. Kakashi knew she was smart but this went beyond normal smartness, it was more like she was naturally attracted to information.

Kakashi, 'Or maybe it's just her natural talent.'

Sasuke, "Okay, we need to move South for this."

Kyoko looked at the map, "Isn't this the Midori residence?"

Naruto, "So, we have to spy on them to see if they are a mole? That is actually a very interesting first test. Guess they want to cover two in one."

Sasuke, "Let's go. You got your seals?"

Naruto, "Ready right here. I was not expecting this exam to be in the field."

Kyoko, "If you think about it, it makes sense in a way. Jounins are expected to make decisions during missions. So what better way to test than a mission?"

Sasuke, "Hn! Let's get to it then."

The three moved with Sasuke in the lead while the observers watched through the security cameras. They found the house and henged themselves into a cat, that was Sasuke, a bird, Kyoko and a cute child, Naruto. The cat entered the house and the child approached the house calling for his kitty while Kyoko entered to spy. Kyoko did a quick survey and searched around for hidden places finding letters from outside the village inside a false wall in the study. Outside the young lady helped Naruto get his cat back while Kyoko flew out of the window with the papers. The three met up down the road and checked the documents deciphering it and returned to the headquarters.

Anko deadpanned, "I am never trusting a bird ever again."

Kurenai grumbled, "Same!"

Kakashi laughed, "Now, now, do not go accusing my students of something they did not do."

Asuma had a contemplative look, "They won't, Naru - tan would make sure of it but they would not be the only ones to use this idea."

Shisui, "I have to agree."

Itachi chuckled, "But they did well."

Tsunade who had been observing quietly spoke, "This is only the first test and Sasuke has shown to be a good leader so far. The second test will be in combat. ANBU Hawk, are you ready?"

ANBU Hawk, "Yes, Godaime - sama."

Tsunade, "Start the second test."

Sasuke, "The second test starts now. I am heading inside."

Naruto, "We won't be able to help you with it as it is a personal test to check your abilities."

Kyoko, "But we know you will clear it, we believe in you."

Sasuke nodded and entered the arena looking around then jumping away as ANBU Hawk attacked him. Sasuke jumped away taking out his weapons which were surgical knives that were etched with the lightning seal. Over the years Sasuke had been working on the electric web, an idea he had read about in Kyoko's book. Sasuke absolutely adored it and worked hard to bring it to reality with a lot of cute and burned marks. He learned to control and master the electric web by manipulating the lightning chakra to either be paralysis inducing or lethal depending on the situation. At the moment he paralyzed his opponent which turned out to be a clone but he didn't stop.

Tsunade smirked, "Not a bad start, my little apprentice."

Kakashi, "He learned from the best though I have a feeling that's not all we will see."

Tsunade, "Hmm... Oh! He has become faster."

Sasuke was running while using his specialized knives to fight off all of his opponents or rather just one very slippery opponent. But Sasuke had a plan himself as he fought his opponent trying to pin them down but they kept moving. Outside Kyoko and Naruto headed home to prepare for the small celebratory dinner, it would just be them. They wondered how Sasuke was doing in the second round but they were pretty sure he would do well. Unlike the Chunin exams, Jounin tests mostly revolved around the personal growth of a shinobi as Jounins were responsible for watching over new shinobi. They would not be credible to do that if their personal growth was not satisfactory.

Naruto, "Do you think we should have invited Jiraiya or Tsunade?"

Kyoko, "I told them they were welcome to join us for dinner but I don't know if their schedules will allow them to join us again."

Naruto, "Being a Hokage and Spy Master sure demands a lot of work, doesn't it? I wonder if they ever had any breaks."

Kyoko, "I don't know about Jiraiya but I can see why Tsunade stipulated she would be a Hokage for ten years only."

Naruto, "It has been three years now, so seven more and she's free."

Kyoko, "He he he. Yeah! I think Sasuke is here."

Naruto perked up, "Sasuke!"

Sasuke smirked as he caught Naruto, "Naru - tan."

Kyoko eyed the new vest Sasuke was sporting, "Congratulations on becoming a Jounin, Sasuke."

Naruto kissed his cheek, "I knew you could do it."

Sasuke, "Thank you, but this does mean I will be working at the hospital more than before."

Kyoko, "That's true! But, now that Naruto is here, the three of us will see each other more. We can find ways to spend time together. It will be a bit harder but not impossible."

Kakashi, "Hello my ex - students."

Sasuke, "Ex? I suppose we are now."

Naruto, "Sensei will always be Sensei, more than Jiraiya, that pervert."

Kyoko, "Agreed! You are stuck with us Sensei. Till the end of time. You are not getting rid of us that easily."

Kakashi gave a fake sob, "Awww! My little pups really grew up to be very sweet and considerate adults. I am so proud of you all."

Sasuke, "You know? This means you might get a second team Sensei."

Kakashi, "I... That's true."

Kyoko, "And you should introduce us to our Kouhais when you do."

Naruto, "True, Sasuke is medic based Jounin and nee - chan and I are Tokubetsu Jounin so our chances of getting a Genin team is low."

Kakashi hummed, "I will see if there is something that can be done about that, though it may take time."

Sasuke, "I am not in a hurry and if anyone gets a Genin team first then it should be Shikamaru, Neji, Lee and Tenten. They were Jounin before I was and have more experience."

Kyoko, "Good point. Now, come on let's enjoy our celebratory dinner."

Naruto, "Is that a Hawk summon?"

Kakashi, "All of us are being summoned."

Sasuke, "It must be important if it's all of us."

Kyoko, "Let's go find out."

Naruto, "We might be getting our first mission together. We will have to reschedule our dinner though."
