~The Tessen~
Sakura wanted to be a shinobi.
She had wanted to since she was a child of around four being regaled by the tales of legendary battles both on a field and behind the scenes, tales of intrepid, skilled men with prowess like none had seen and charmingly deadly women with talent and charisma.
Sakura would be just like them she vowed with conviction.
She'd be the best of them.
Her clan, the Tessen.
They called them the clan of the iron fan.
They were feared, people say the clan had been one of the first to join Konoha and the one of the only one's to leave.
Well, leave was a relative term it was more cast aside after becoming decidedly 'useless'
Is what her mother would say, away from the masses her mother would lament Konoha and how it ruined their clan though she wouldn't explain exactly how they did that.
In a young sakura's brain there are worse things than being cast away from a home.
If only she knew.
It was a late December afternoon when sakura, a child of eight had snuck into the jonin section of the library.
She found two books and her heart raced with anticipation.
Why Where The Tessen Banished From Konoha, By Akhito nemuri
The guide to War fans, jutsu, techniques and tactics, By Anonymous.
She bounced with unadulterated glee and in her excitement her wrist was taken by a masked man with silver gravity defying hair, his eyes regarded her coldly.
Without thinking she kicked him in the crotch and made a run for it.
When she arrived at her most recent haunt of the month, Read: A lavender field, she lay down her books and began.
Some speculate the tessen were banished because of their abrasive fan techniques, Others believe they were simply useless but I am here to explain to you exactly why the tessen were kicked out of or rather hunted and slaughtered by Konoha.
Please do note that I am writing under a pen name and so you will not find me living under the name above.
In the early days of Konoha the tessen were invested in making Konoha a village worth living in, it made no sense to me that suddenly they would decide to up and leave.
On my many travels I bumped into some very distinctly tessen-like persons, not hostiles mind you but wary of konohans.
And then they told me why.
The tessen did not leave of there own volition, they were subjugated to lives scattered as after the 3rd war they were hunted out of the village by as they describe it 'Shinobi in Blank white masks' I later learned through my own study these are members of a secret organization called root.
Though it read like a diary sakura understood it all the same, her eyes watered and the book fell shut as a torrent of emotion for a people she had not known and would now never know came crashing over her.
She sobbed for the family she could have had.
Then, as the sun stetted and the sky darkened, she dried her eyes and planned.
She'd give these bastards PTSD and she'd embody the tessen in all there former glory
On That She Swore.
