Uh, I don't think this should be happening

She had woken up to the smell of strawberries.

Now she wouldn't normally care if she smelled strawberries, it's a rather pleasant smell to be honest, if it wasn't for the fact that she currently didn't have any strawberries in her house to begin with.

Oh well. Could be a neighbor or something.

She mentally shrugged, still too tired to process the still rather unusual fact, before stretching her limbs out, getting out all the strains and creaks in her body.

But it's as she blearily opens her eyes, that she sees a room full of pink.

What the fuck.

She quickly sat up, struggling to process all the fucking pink  why the hell was there so much pink!? Who even needs this much!? ━ around her, and the fact that this was not her room. She suddenly became aware of the feeling of something soft and silky against her arms only to look down to see even morefucking pink.

Pink. Hair.

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME actually never mind that for now. I'll get back to that later. Let's move right on to where the fuck am I?! Corvina warily glanced around the very pink room before closing her eyes to sigh in annoyance. Just my luck to wake up in an unfamiliar place, most likely kidnapped, the day before my college entrance exam.

Dear god, please just let me get fucked by a chainsaw wait no, my kidnapper might have some questionable kinks

"Sakura!"

Corvina jumped at the loud unexpected shout. Oh god, I'm gonna die. My kidnapper is calling me ━

"You're gonna be late for the academy!"

Wait.

Pause.

The panicked girl swallowed. Did she just say Sakura? AS in Haruno Sakura? The girl with the pinkhair? Thefangirl? Also... did she just say the academy?

She closed her eyes with a groan. Please tell me that this is not one of those stories where some lucky fellow gets reincarnated as some anime character...

"Sakura!"

Desperate for literally any kind of reassurance that this was not what she thought it was, Corvina quickly hopped off the bed, vaguely registering the very fluffy pink carpet that touched her toes, before practically sprinting towards the vanity in the corner. She came to a rough stop in front of it, very nearly crashing before stopping herself by putting her hands against the mirror. She froze.

This cannot be her life.

No, screw that, this isn't her life in the first place! Where in the hell was Sakura!?

But the evidence was all there. The light pink hair, the viridian green eyes, even the scrawny body paired with the infamous large forehead, which wasn't even that large like c'mon!

She looked 12, she guessed? Usually, in those... fanfictions, you were either reincarnated as a child or as a teen about to start the story line.

"SAKURA. YOU ARE GOING TO BE LATE!"

"I'm coming!" Jeez, woman, give me some time to process my impending death.

Corvina sighed, a pale hand reaching up to tug on a pink lock one last time before she had to face the music.

And boy, she did not want to dance.

"You know what? This is fine, pssht, nothing I can't handle. I have plenty of time to drop out and leave that crazy ninja shit before I die," Corvina muttered, feeling a tiny bit better. Quickly shrugging on some green baggy shorts and a black t-shirt she thankfully found in the back of the closet, (she would rather die than wear that dress) she went downstairs.

She saw Mebuki sitting at the table... knitting. Huh, who knew Sakura's mother knitted? I guess a lot went on behind the scenes.

Mebuki looked up with an unimpressed look, before focusing back down on her needles. "Honestly, Sakura," She shook her head, beginning to knit faster. Corvina wondered if it was due to stress. "You're gonna be the death of me━ "

"Haha, I'll probably be dead before then anyway━" Corvina froze. She took a moment to take in what she had just said in front of her now mother.

Well shit.

Mebuki looked up with a start, completely abandoning the knitting. "Sakura! Don't say stuff like that! Don't you know how much your father and I worry for you━!?"

"━Bye mom! Gotta go before I'm late!"

Corvina raced out of there, not yet ready to talk about all the shit that's gonna hit the fan in the next few months.

Walking to the academy was a nightmare. She got lost atleast five times, and embarrassingly enough, had to resort to stalking a student she had vaguely recognized from the anime. Hinata, was it? Yup, that purple hair is unmistakable...

Anyways.

She tried to stay as quiet as she could, but she wasn't exactly ninja material... so needless to say...

She was spotted embarrassingly quick.

"Who are you!? And why are you stalking lady Hinata!?"

Corvina flushed in embarrassment, before stepping out from behind the tree she was hiding. The boy who looked a little older than them watched her with a sharp gaze as if she was aiming to kill the girl next to him or something, despite the fact that it was peacetime. Oh well, ninjas will be ninjas.

And hopefully bygones will be bygones.

"It isn't what it looks like━"

The boy raised an eyebrow, before crossing his arms. He tilted his head, long brown hair swaying, before staring her down. "Oh really? Because it looks to me, you have been following us for the past ten minutes and 11 seconds━"

"N-Neji-kun," Hinata whispered, tugging on his sleeve. "S-she's m-my class m-mate."

Corvina exhaled a sigh of relief when Neji took a step back, thankfully only with a roll of his eyes and not with a punch to her face. She did not want to see that gentle palm technique or whatever it was today.

She chuckled nervously, sweating when Neji's head snapped to look at her with a glare from where he was speaking with the Hyuga heiress. She paused before squaring her shoulders, though that confidence quickly left her when he narrowed his eyes.

"No way in hell are you actually being intimidated by a 14 year old boy..." a voice in her head muttered and she damn nearly shrieked at the sudden sound, but thankfully swallowed the sound in time with a cough, realizing it was only Sakura's inner.

He's scary, okay!? And could most definitely drop kick me across the village like I'm a newborn baby.

"Oh great, the vermin is sick. Lady Hinata, let us be on our way before you are late." Corvina's jaw damn near hit the ground at his words. Geez, this kid has zero chill.

"Damn. Who hurt you?"

"Excuse me?"

Corvina quickly backtracked. "I mean, uh, I hit my head yesterday! And forgot where the academy was!" She snapped her fingers before making finger guns at them with a nervous smile. Oh my god, do I ever learn to think before opening my damn mouth!?

"Wow, good job," the voice in her head muttered sarcastically."Almost succeeded in dying on your first day in this body!"

Do you ever shut up?

"I could ask the same about you.."

Neji scoffed, before turning away. "Let's go, Lady Hinata."

Hinata looked back at Sakura with nervous but kind eyes before turning to face her cousin. "N-Neji-kun. S-she s-should walk w-with us..."

Neji scoffed incredulously, eyes wide in shock. "She just stalked you for the past ten minutes! Because she forgot where the academy was!"

Corvina frowned at what he was insinuating about her mental health, which, okay, fair but seriously?!

Her big mouth opened before she could stop it. "Hey! I'm not dumb! It's perfectly normal to forget stuff after hitting your head!"

"You. Shut up." He glared, veins appearing beneath his eyes for a moment. Corvina gaped, not quite believing the audacity little Neji was capable of.

"N-Neji-kun!" Hinata exclaimed, before turning a glare onto him, her lips pursed thin. "Sh-she should j-just come w-with us any w-way, we-we'll be late a-at this rate."

Neji scoffed again, jeez it seemed all this boy knew how to do was scoff.

"As you wish, Lady Hinata," Neji gritted out, through gritted teeth.

Corvina supposed this was the part where she was supposed to say thanks, so hurriedly recalling her knowledge of Japanese culture, she quickly bowed.

She straightened back up, only to see Hinata watching her in shock and Neji looking flustered.

"O-oh, t-there w-was no n-need to do t-that S-sakura-san!" Hinata waved her hands around frantically, as if no one had ever bothered to bow to her before. Shouldn't she be used to this type of behavior? Maybe she's shocked because it was coming from someone like Sakura?

Corvina blinked before scratching her head. "Was I not supposed to do that...?" She mumbled in confusion, before shaking her head and saying louder, "I mean you are the Hyuga heiress, right? Someone as important as you deserves that type of respect."

Hinata froze, eyes wide. Behind her, Neji shuffled his feet, lips pursed and shoulders drawn up tight. He looked away before she could catch his gaze.

In their silence, Sakura awkwardly moved side to side in small steps. Damn, is there a restart button for this sort of thing? Where's my AI helper!?

"Right here. My advice is to walk away and never go out again."

"Not helping!"

"Y-yeah, I'm just gonna go and find my way to the academy by myself... Infact, I think I see it in the distance, uh, bye!" She raced out of there before Hinata could protest.

Wow, what a great start to this life.
