We are warriors,
Born from the light
An army for freedom,
Defenders of life
“If we go by the logic that someone from our world was taken, then who was taken?” Jeremy Agriche asked confused and somewhat weary.
“Maybe someone from the other noble houses.” his sister Roxana murmured, because besides her family, there was no one else from her world, not even from the other powerful families, present.
Jeremy simply sighed, leaving the matter aside for the moment.
"Who could have been taken?" Brunhilde thought. The Valkyrie knew that it was most likely a human because she didn't see a god fighting for humanity or being a human, because not even the hypocrite Hercules with his talk of loving humanity decided to fight for them. There was only one god who dared to go against the gods, and that was Buddha. And even then she wasn't so sure if he was the one who was taken.
On the other side of the room, the Arcobalenos looked at each other.
“It has to be Skull, he's the only one of the Arcobalenos who isn't present.” Verde said, as the answer was obvious to him.
“Skull? In a world full of so much war like that?” Reborn mocked, as he didn't see the cowardly Skull in such a situation.
“All the Arcobalenos are present, all but him. Tell me it doesn't make sense that it's him.” Verde spat, furious at being contradicted by something so obvious to him.
“Let's keep a cool head, they'll show us more.” Uni smiled, trying to keep the peace.
Whitebeard kept his thoughts to himself, but he was curious about who could be the one taken from his world when those who could move the oceans were present; from the powerful rookie Mugiwara Luffy, to the invincible Kaido. Who else could have been so special as to be taken and thrown into a world to become, practically, a god?
But Whitebeard was not the only one with thoughts filled with questions about the identities of the Primarchs. Everyone in the room was equally curious and nervous about who the one taken could be, curious about what their lives are like in that far away universe where they are worshipped as gods, but are surrounded by war.
“They shall be my finest warriors, these men who give of themselves to me. Like clay I shall mould them and in the furnace of war I shall forge them. They shall be of iron will and steely sinew. In great armour I shall clad them and with the mightiest weapons shall they be armed. They will be untouched by plague or disease; no sickness shall blight them. They shall have such tactics, strategies and machines that no foe will best them in battle. They are my bulwark against the Terror. They are the Defenders of Humanity. They are my Space Marines...and they shall know no fear.“
Daemon let out a light laugh, settling back in his seat and wishing he could scroll through the information quickly to learn more. His dragon blood heated up at the thought of the kind of magnificent warriors the Emperor had created to the point of being almost untouchable by the evils that plague humanity.
Zeus said nothing, keeping his gentle old man smile on his elderly face. However, his dark eyes reflected both his anger and curiosity. How had mere mortals reached such a level of power as to create such beings? More than anything, this only reinforced his idea of destroying humans and preventing beings like the Emperor, his Primarchs, and his Space Marines from rising.
Huangpu Qiantian raised an eyebrow, interested in fighting strong enemies like the Space Marines. Will they be as dangerous as Zhuo Yifan himself?
Kaido wondered if any of those powerful characters introduced would be able to finally kill him or if he still had to wait for the one who would kill him, Joyboy.
Sukuna let out a low but evil laugh, causing Yuuji to glare at him. But it was no wonder when the curse was a little ball of violence that loved to use his fists to fight. And he was right, as Sukuna was very interested in the Space Marines and how powerful they were.
The twenty Space Marine Legions, also known as the Legiones Astartes, are the main military force of the Imperium of Mankind.
At the words, several of those present raised an eyebrow at the already known information. What they wanted to know was more secrets and more information.
"Are they going to repeat the same thing to us?" Alois complained, leaning back in his comfortable seat dramatically. Claude sighed when he saw him.
"Just what we needed, unnecessary information," Azula spat, rolling her golden eyes.
But they were not the only ones to complain about the repeated information when what they wanted was to know more about the Primarchs, the created children of the Emperor who were worshipped as gods.
All the Space Marines of a Legion are modified with the help of DNA samples taken from a specific Primarch.
Verde still felt his hands tingling with the desire to know more about the genetic experiments that the Imperium did. How advanced was their technology? What kind of miracles were they capable of? What technological beauties have they created in their millennia of existence?
As a scientist, Tobirama was extremely interested in what kind of things the Imperium, with its technologies and knowledge, was capable of creating. Was there something like his Edo Tensei? What kind of powerful weapons do they wield?
Beside him, Hashirama looked at his brother with some nervousness as he saw the facial expressions his younger brother made due to his excitement.
Jango tilted his head in curiosity. He remembered his clones, beings with DNA identical to his own. However, even though he knew that the Legions themselves were not clones but rather full-fledged beings that were taken and modified, he could not understand how they were accepted just like that by their Primarchs.
Clark Kent, unknowingly, had a similar thought to Jango as he remembered Kon. Despite so much time having passed, something in him simply could not see the half-Kryptonian as his son or family member. The fact that Luthor had taken his DNA just like that was something that still filled him with disgust and anger, even though he knew it wasn't Kon's fault. That was why he felt lost when he remembered that the Primarchs loved their legions, and in return, they loved their Primarchs even more.
Hange knew she shouldn't be excited about how unethical things sounded, but didn't she herself do experiments for the good of humanity? So all she could feel was her blood boiling with excitement and ecstasy. She wished she could open the heads of the beings of that universe and see what secrets both wonderful and horrifying they hid within.
When the Primarchs were found, they became the commanders of their respective Legions, and the world they had landed on became the home and base of their Legions.
“True, they were sent to different worlds,” Peter Quill whispered to himself. “I wonder how they were raised.”
Peter said this with fear, however, for he knew all too well the kind of horrors that existed in the galaxy. In his travels, he had seen terrible planets and cultures that had caused him to rage uncontrollably, swearing never to visit those planets again. In that galaxy where there was even more war, he wondered how the Primarchs were raised. And to be honest, he feared the answer.
The White Star, Cale Barrow, also thought of the consequences with great excitement. How was his great enemy, Cale Henituse, raised? What did life throw at him in that universe? Will he still be a mastermind?
Hal Jordan watched in uneasy silence what was being presented. The Justice League has fought powerful beings from across the multiverse, and he himself has seen many worlds, some that resembled paradises and others that were hell on earth. He didn't know much about the universe they were seeing, but while he hoped that all the Primarchs had ended up in a good world, he knew the odds were low.
A Space Marine Legion is a frontline shock infantry force made up of tens of thousands (and in some cases many more) of biochemically and surgically enhanced super-warriors, armed and equipped with the best weaponry the Imperium can provide for them.
"You're telling me that each Primarch is the leader of thousands of super-soldiers?" Steve Rogers asked. "Doesn't that seem like a lot of power for one being?"
The Captain faithfully believed that one person could not be in control of so much power, of so many super-human soldiers. It was a recipe for disaster, betrayal, and limitations. It was never good for entities to be in control over powerful beings and limit them if times of crisis came, the same reason he didn't agree with the Accords and the Avengers being controlled by the government.
His words earned several glances, as several had their own beliefs about such a move.
“Maybe that's true, but it's not like they have much choice in that universe either.” Sokka pointed out. “Their living conditions are different from many of us and therefore, they are doing everything to survive, and that includes, the creation of powerful beings like the Primarchs and their legions.”
“You seem to forget that those super soldiers are, from what we've seen so far, blindly loyal to their Emperor and Primarch.” Arba's cold and almost mocking voice answered.
“Yes, but the case of the Chaos Marines was also mentioned. Therefore, they can betray their Primarchs.” Sirius Phantomhive countered with a smile.
“Desperate times call for desperate measures,” Hange said with a smile that clearly let it be known that she understood the reason behind the Primarchs and their legions.
Muzan tilted his head, as he himself maintained loyalty thanks to the power of his blood that allowed him to control his demons. Apparently the Primarchs did not have such ability if they were betrayed by their legions.
Each member of the Legiones Astartes is worth many more normal soldiers; each and every one of them is a killing machine: tireless, faster, stronger, braver, more disciplined, with clearer vision and more lethal than any non-powered human soldier, regardless of their skill or experience.
“What kind of technology created such beings?” Tanjiro asked in amazement.
“That technology is too superior for those mortals.” Poseidon commented with disgust.
“It reminds me of several humans.” Hades muttered to his younger brother, remembering the scientists and inventors in the history of humanity. Poseidon growled.
“It's like they multiplied a Superman, without his extra powers, into thousands of humans.” Lois Lane commented to Clark, who was at her side.
“If they created mini Supermen for their legions, then what kind of beings are the Primarchs? And, worse yet, what kind of being is the Emperor?” Barry asked with a slight tremor in his voice.
Those with their well-developed ears began to wonder the same thing. What kind of monsters had been created in that universe? And more importantly, why did they need them?
Gathered and disciplined, the potential of the individual Legionnaire is multiplied to incredible levels, and a force of a few hundred can subdue a city in a matter of hours.
Ozai watched with cruel curiosity, imagining such soldiers in his nation, capable of fulfilling his plan to conquer the world and put it under the yoke of fire. With such warriors, conquest would be like a walk in the park. And with them at his side, the Avatar could not defeat him no matter how hard he tried. Yes, he did not believe that the Avatar was powerful enough to defeat so many super soldiers.
Daemon sat back in his seat, relaxing, with a mischievous smile on his lips. He found the idea of such a... superior soldier quite interesting. A tireless soldier, without fear of death and with the power of a dozen men in a single being. That in itself was already a terrible advantage. Now add to that those soldiers being commanded by someone competent. They would be the fear of everyone on the battlefield. He looked forward to seeing his darling Aemond command them and bring victory.
Uchiha Izuna sighed, thinking of his older brother and leader of the Uchiha Clan, Uchiha Madara. His brother was not a warmonger per se, but he was a terror on the battlefield and he excelled at it, he was a master of war. He was also someone intelligent who managed the Clan wonderfully. An Uchiha Madara now being empowered even more, oh, that would be a true god of war.
Brunhilde narrowed her eyes, her mind immediately taken to the image of Roman soldiers.
Thousands of them can conquer a planet in days, and tens and even hundreds of thousands of Astartes deployed at the same time can reduce entire civilizations to dust and memories in no more time than it takes for Terra to complete its course around the Sun.
“What the hell?” Jo Gul asked. “That… that’s too fast.”
Ozai smiled. If only he could get his hands on those soldiers and have them wipe out the other elements so that at last, the Fire Nation could rule the world as the divine mandate that it is.
Muzan gritted his teeth, for such power was incredible. He knew that no matter how strong his demons were, laying siege at such speed would surely be impossible, even more so with the presence of the slayers always present.
Shanks let out a rather impressed whistle. The World Government had such power with its Buster Call, but it was impressive to see soldiers capable of the same. Although of course, he wasn’t talking about simple humans either.
Padme gulped, thankful that beings like that, or such a weapon, existed in her galaxy. Or it would be a disaster.
Alberu immediately thought of the crazy, red-haired swindler he had as a partner. If there was anyone who could work that fast and cause so much chaos, it would definitely be Cale. Alberu unconsciously let out a smile.
Others in the room watched with suspicion, feeling somewhat unsure at the thought of so few soldiers being able to conquer so much in such a short amount of time, even if we were talking about super soldiers. The gods present were even more dissatisfied at such power.
Legions are huge armies, and the size of each one can vary wildly. A precise number was never really achieved or maintained.
“Understandable, they are constantly dying and recruiting,” Kokushibo said. “Maintaining an exact number is practically impossible.”
“I wonder how many Space Marines the largest Legion has?” Zhuge Changfeng thought.
Even during the Great Crusade, some legions were very large, while others were not. Numbers would always vary with new recruits and inevitable losses in battle, and the availability of potential recruits and the administrative skills of the Primarch and his officers were also important.
Kokushibo nodded, for what was shown matched with what he had said a few seconds ago.
"Primarchs have to be magnificent administrators to keep such beings under control and in such numbers too," Jang Ilso commented with a large and malicious smile, he wanted to see his pink-eyed swordsman.
"As previously stated, the Emperor created them to be the best," Tang Gunak replied coldly.
"They must be good rulers," Qin Shi Huang smiled, tilting his head. "After all, being a ruler means having to know how to manage a kingdom."
"Ah, I would like that talent," Alberu sighed, remembering all his work as Crown Prince. He also wanted to be able to easily manage his kingdom.
Aegon, Helaena, Daeron and Alicent glanced at Viserys Targaryen. It seems that the King did not inherit much talent for governing from his predecessors. Then they looked at Rhaenyra, she hadn't inherited such talent either. What a tragedy. Well, at least they had the brains of the family, Aemond.
One of the largest legions is the Leviathans. And the Thousand Suns are amongst the smallest legions as many of them had developed mutations or uncontrollable levels of psychic powers.
“Oh, they've already named two legions,” Sebastian smiled.
“I wonder who the Primarchs of those legions are,” Bruce Wayne commented, narrowing his eyes, thinking of what kind of clues he could get from the names. One a water planet and another a desert? Maybe...
“They're very interesting names,” Rengoku said with a big smile on his face.
“Leviathans?” Odin commented, thinking of mortals and their history with the Leviathan. “What a curious name.”
Several in the room began to think of what name the legion of their respective taken person could have used to name their Space Marines.
Each Legion is made to conquer planets and destroy all enemies of the Emperor, although several have a specific specialization.
Adam looked at the screen with a cold and calm look, but his mind was spinning about the Emperor of Mankind and his plans. Why did he have that title? Who was he really? A version of himself, Adam? Adam feared the answer as he feared the final plans of that golden and cold figure that was the Emperor.
He knows better than anyone the nature of his children, and although he loves them all equally, he recognized that they were not exactly all good people. They could be as warmongering as Thor, as mischievous as Loki and as arrogant as Poseidon.
There is a reason it was said that they were created in the image of the gods.
Roaming around a total of more than two million soldiers, the Legions are not the only army of the powerful Imperium, but they are considered the greatest warriors of the Emperor and the Imperium. They are the guardians of humanity in full service of their Primarchs, and most especially, the Emperor.
Jeremy let out a whistle of surprise.
"That's a lot of super soldiers," said the young man with lapis lazuli eyes.
"Too many," Roxana narrowed her eyes. She understood why the Imperium needed such numbers, after all, they were talking about the galaxy, but she didn't want to even think about the possibility of her family ever having such power. Now add to that that there were more soldiers besides the Space Marines themselves.
"What other monsters has the Imperium created?" thought the young blonde, fearing the answer.
Obi-Wan Kenobi was more impressed by the fact that they were super soldiers than by their numbers, as the clone army was much larger, but they were humans without super powers. However, and what caused his eyes to narrow in suspicion, was the fact that the Space Marines were not the only thing the Imperium had to offer. That was understandable, since for an entire galaxy just two million soldiers would do nothing, but if they created those superhumans, then what else had they created?
Tobirama focused much more on the fact that they were not the only force of the Imperium, and wondered what kind of elite army the Emperor had. Because for the shinobi it was more than obvious that there must be elite forces much more superior than the Space Marines themselves.
“Look at that, they are not even the only army of the Imperium.” Arba laughed, looking at the blond, blue-eyed, and very muscular man named Steve Rogers who had previously said that it was a lot of power for a single Primarch.
Everyone in the room had the same thought, what other super beings had the Empire created?
The First Legion is the Libertas Legion, led by their Primarch, Skull de Mort. It has a size of 200,000 soldiers specialized in combined arms and multispectral warfare, Exterminatus and purge campaigns, extended and independent operations in the void.
“I told you it was Skull,” Verde blurted out, but he was so in shock that his words came out almost in a whisper, not only because of the information but because of the image of Skull presented.
It was Skull, but now several meters tall and clad in a beautiful and large suit of armor as purple as his own eyes and hair.
“He has 200,000 thousand soldiers under him,” Colonello commented in shock and amazement, his mind trying to remember the history of the army and see what kind of being could fit in with the magnitude of Skull.
Reborn didn't say anything, but he thought that Skull was still as beautiful as before, although sadly, his eyes and face reflected a serious and cold man, not the cowardly and chaotic Skull.
"My Cloud," Uni whispered, her eyes beginning to water at the sight of her guardian.
"Void operations?" Fon murmured. "Are we talking about space itself?"
Viper, usually quiet, didn't say anything, but his mind was trying to understand the kind of fights Skull must command if his legion was specialized in such attacks.
"Exterminatus? Purge? I don't like the sound of that," Reborn added.
"Sounds a lot like a massacre, if I'm honest," Colonello replied, coming out of his trance.
The Arcobalenos looked at each other worriedly. They understood that it was a war in the galaxy, but they had not been given much information so they did not know exactly what was happening.
Nothing is known about the Second Legion, as all data was erased during the Great Crusade by order of the Emperor.
"Wait, what?" asked Otsutsuki Ashura.
"Why were they erased? Did they commit a crime?" asked Eve worriedly.
"So of all the universes present in this room, who does not have a Primarch?" asked Uchiha Itachi softly.
"We will have to wait until everyone is presented to find out," said Uchiha Obito.
The Third Legion is the Winter Leopards, led by their Primarch, Gojo Satoru. Its size is 100,000 soldiers, all specialized in combined arms warfare, complex maneuvers, discursive tactical planning, and asymmetric assaults. Because of the eyes they possess, they are able to see the weaknesses of their opponents.
“Of course it's Gojo-sensei,” Megumi murmured, not knowing how to feel seeing his teacher in such a situation. However, he had to trust, Gojo-sensei is the most powerful.
“Even his eyes follow him to that universe,” Toji commented amused as he saw the image that showed the very tall Gojo with his same beautiful appearance.
“That's a great army, although less than the previous one,” Sukuna observed with a smile without taking his eyes off the image presented.
Itadori Yuuji smiled as he saw the image. Gojo-sensei still looked the same as always, but now he was just even taller. He hoped with all his heart that he was okay.
The Fourth Legion are the Bloodthirsty Bats led by their Primarch, Vlad Tepes. Their 180,000 soldiers are specialized in siege warfare, coordination of wide war scenarios, planetary decimation, attrition campaigns, revenge and counterinsurgency. It is the legion that has shed the most blood, leaving their enemies in terrible conditions. When they arrive, everyone knows that an ocean of blood will be created.
Integra let out a sigh, not at all surprised that Alucard had shed so much blood. The relationship between Alucard and blood has been literally unbreakable for centuries. That's taking away the fact that Alucard already liked a good fight.
"Of course everything with him is related to blood," the woman commented, wishing she could smoke something to relax.
"Oh, so the vampire was the one taken," Alexander Anderson laughed when he saw his rival in the image. He looked the same, with pale skin, hair as black as night, and eyes that reflected the color of the purest blood.
Seras jumped several times in her seat, happy to see her master. For the young vampire, it was obvious that Alucard was taken, but she was grateful to be able to see him since she no longer had him next to her, teaching her.
The Fifth Legion is the Sharp Petals, led by their Primarch, Chung Myung. With a size of 95,000 soldiers, they are specialized in shock assaults, high mobility warfare, harassment actions, and prolonged operations without support in hostile territory.
“Yes, I can see that monster doing all those things,” Baek Cheon said with a straight face.
“Of course my swordsman would make a magnificent Primarch!” Jang Ilso exclaimed in ecstasy, his eyes passing over the image as if he were a man thirsty for water and who had just found an oasis. “Who else could it be if not him?”
Tang Gunak looked at the image with worried eyes. He knew that his pink-eyed ally was very powerful, and even worse, extremely intelligent. Unfortunately, that didn't erase the fact that the Patriarch was worried about what the Mount Hua swordsman could be suffering.
"Oh by all that is divine, he specializes in harassment actions." Jo Gul commented, feeling anguish and amusement.
The Sixth Legion are the Golden Sons led by their Primarch, Donquixote Doflamingo. Their 100,000 soldiers are specialized in shock assault operations, search and destroy and pursuit operations, punishment and execration campaigns.
"Mingo?!" Luffy shouted, earning looks full of disgust from several in the room, Poseidon himself was being held back by Hades before causing a massacre.
Whitebeard raised an eyebrow. Donquixote Doflamingo? Yes, he was a powerful pirate with powerful connections, but he didn't imagine him there. Why him? Was it just random or is Doflamingo not showing all he is? When he returns, he will have to keep an eye on the pirate.
"Marco," Whitebeard called.
"I understand, Father," the Phoenix replied, thinking exactly the same as his father.
Shanks just let out a hum. For the redhead it was strange that Doflamingo had been taken, but he also knew that the blond man had more up his sleeve than others usually believed.
Kaido watched coldly. All he hoped was that Doflamingo would get out of there alive, after all, they are business partners.
"He has beautiful eyes," Luffy whispered, looking at Mingo's image that showed a blond man with bright golden eyes.
The Seventh Legion are the Night Hunters, led by their Primarch, Tsugikuni Yoriichi. Their 100,000 soldiers are specialized in space assaults and boarding, defensive and fortification operations in extremis, assaults on fortresses, conquest and subjugation of space civilizations. They are considered the legion with the best swordsmen. They are the only legion that actually protects civilians and is careful in their battles not to hurt them.
"Brother?" Kokushibo whispered, his eyes drawn to the image of his brother on the screen, as calm and cold as ever. Of all the slayers, he had not expected him.
Muzan felt his body tremble without being able to contain himself. No matter how hard he tried to relax, every damn cell in his body remembered what kind of being was in front of him. Every part of his body remembered his greatest enemy, the only one to truly almost finish him off all those years ago.
Tanjiro smiled slightly, thinking of the memories he saw. It seems that no matter what the world was, he could see that Yoriichi was simply a noble and charitable soul, so much so that he was the only one with a legion that cared for civilians.
“Well, now we now the other legions don’t care about civilians.” Rengoku commented with a seriousness that was rarely seen. As a demon slayer, his job was to kill demons and protect civilians, having such an ideal ignored was not to his liking.
The Eighth Legion are the Sky Walkers, led by Primarch Anakin Skywalker. Their 120,000 soldiers, along with their Primarch, are the legion with the most powerful psychics. They are specialized in psychic warfare, punitive actions, decimation, pacification by force, terrorist assaults, and psychological warfare.
“Skywalker?” Jedi Master Mace Windu's eyes widened as they focused on the image of Anakin Skywalker displayed. He imagined many, even other Jedi Masters, but he never imagined the impulsive and unstable Anakin Skywalker.
Obi-Wan gulped, not knowing if he should feel nervous or proud to see his former Padawan there, as one of the most powerful. However, there was also the fact that although he knew his Anakin, and did not know what this Anakin was like, he did not deny that he felt a certain type of way when in other words, Anakin had the abilities of the Force multiplied by a hundred. And he was not talking about any Force user, Anakin was the son of the Force himself.
“A Jetiise?” Jango asked in a snort. “I shouldn’t be surprised that it was one of those wizards.”
“Ani.” Padme was worried about Anakin and how the war could affect him, even though she knew Anakin was used to war and commanding his legion. She feared this universe was even worse.
The Ninth Legion are the Colossals, led by their Primarch, Eren Jaeger. The legion's 120,000 soldiers are specialized in high intensity warfare, strategic decapitation assaults, planetary interdiction campaigns, multi-vector and suborbital attacks. They are the legion that has the tallest soldiers.
“Are they really called Colossals?” Levi asked with an arched eyebrow, not at all amused. “What a morbid brat.”
“Eren.” Mikasa said, happy to finally be able to see him even if it was in a picture that showed him as a tall man in armor.
Armin wasn't too surprised that Eren had been taken, surely no one would be when everything seemed to revolve around the bright-eyed young man who was slowly moving further away from the boy he met so many years ago.
Hange just smiled, already seeing this coming. To be honest, she was more fixated on the armor and the experiments done by the Imperium than the funny and ironic name of young Jaeger's legion.
The Tenth Legion are the Iron Men, led by Primarch Anthony Stark. The 113,000 soldiers in the legion are specialized in armored and high-intensity warfare, line-breaking attacks, planetary pacification and suppression campaigns, and anti-materiel operations. They specialize in technology and weapons, building new defenses and weapons for the Imperium.
“Yeah, I don't see him doing anything else other than creating things. And using technology as he pleases.” Bruce Banner smiled, looking at the image of a tall Tony in red and gold armor, as if it were a tribute to his Iron Man suit.
“It seems like he'll never change, no matter the world,” Steve commented. “Now he'll have to be more careful about creating things in a universe like that.”
“Please, Steve, surely in that universe things have been created that are even worse than what Tony has created. Leave the Ultron issue to rest, you're not a white dove either, no matter how much you want to say so yourself.” Bruce rolled his eyes, tired of the blond soldier and his comments. The man spoke as if he understood the slightest thing that was going through Tony's prodigious mind.
Natasha ignored the two of them, simply paying attention to what was important, the number of soldiers and what they specialized in. Maybe among all the information, she would get a clue about what was going on in that universe.
Peter just mentally repeated to himself that he hoped nothing bad would happen even though all his instincts seemed to mock him and remind him that something bad would definitely happen.
Clint decided to stay quiet, knowing that he couldn't exactly give an opinion when his actions didn't put him in the good side of the public eye, let alone with his family.
Bucky also decided to stay quiet, but it was because he was thinking about how hypocritical Steve was. The road to hell is paved with good intentions, and that was exactly what Steve was doing. Worse yet, he was pulling the Avengers with him and they were so blind and stupid that they didn't even notice.
The Eleventh Legion is unknown, as all data was erased during the Great Crusade by order of the Emperor.
"Another legion?" Indra asked more cautiously.
"It's already suspicious that two legions have been erased," Tobirama murmured.
"There's something else here," Hades commented. "It can't be normal that such records have been erased just like that. Without the slightest clue."
To the disappointment of those present, those questions were something that would most likely never get answers.
The Twelfth Legion are the Immortalis, who are led by the Primarch and Warmaster himself, Zhuo Yifan. The 150,000 soldiers are specialized in shock assaults, planetary destruction operations and Exterminatus, and melee actions.
Zhuge Changfeng laughed happily upon hearing about Zhuo Yifan. It was abundantly clear to him that no one else could be as special, no one could compare to the demonic being that was Zhuo Yifan.
“Of course he would be the Warmaster, his brilliant and Machiavellian mind is incomparable,” Huang Qiantian said with an arrogant smile on his face as he looked at the image of Zhuo Yifan.
Huangpu Qianyun nodded in agreement with his older brother. He could count the times he had met a mind as brilliant as Zhuo Yifan’s, capable of finishing off a much stronger enemy with just his mind.
Gu Santong puffed out his chest with pride that his father was on the screen as one of those beings worshipped as gods. His father was amazing, rich, strong and intelligent, there was no one better than him to be a divine being.
Chu Qingcheng watched with a blush on her face, ignoring the looks filled with killing intent she was receiving from the men accompanying her. They couldn’t blame her for admiring Zhuo Yifan when they were also doing the same.
The Thirteenth Legion are the Leviathans, led by Primarch Tomioka Giyu. They are a legion with 133,000 soldiers specialized in mass assaults, strategic decimation, planetary interdictions, liberations, and submission campaigns in limited theaters.
"Wait, another one from our world? Why? And why Giyu-san?" Tanjiro thought confused, but he didn't say it out loud either, because surely his companions also thought it could be dangerous, even more so because they didn't know in full how powerful the other people who were also in the room were.
"Giyu was taken?" Rengoku thought bitterly, not liking at all that one of his fellow Pillars had been taken.
Muzan almost rolled his eyes at the clear favoritism of any entity that took two demon slayers from his universe.
"Another slayer?" Kokushibo thought.
The Fourteenth Legion is the Bloody Butterflies, led by Primarch Ashil Agriche. The terrifying legion of 95,000 soldiers specialises in heavy infantry assaults, attrition warfare, dangerous/lethal zone warfare, xenos eradication operations and purges. Their legion specialises in conducting biological and chemical warfare.
“Ashil?” Deon said in shock as he saw the image of the brother he had killed years ago.
“Brother?” Roxana whispered, blinking rapidly to remove her tears as she saw her beloved brother as an adult.
“He looks so much like mom.” the ruby-eyed young woman thought.
“Oh my son, is this how you would have look like as an adult?” Sierra sobbed quietly as she saw the image of her beautiful adult son. Her little Ashil looked beautiful. Had he grown to adulthood, he would have become a young man of devastating beauty, just like the picture.
"He looks like Sierra." Lant thought. "I wonder what he’ll be like as a leader of his legion."
Jeremy's mouth hung open in amazement as he stared at the adult image of his late brother. He never thought he'd see someone capable of competing with Roxana herself in beauty. Sierra's children definitely had some very good genes.
The Fifteenth Legion are known as the Thousand Suns and are led by their Primarch, Judar. Their legion is the smallest with only 85,000 soldiers. Judar and his legion are the most powerful psykers after Anakin, specializing in psychic warfare, precision strikes, disinformation, knowledge decimation, and macro-coordination of multi-theater campaigns.
"Judar?" Aladdin asked with his mouth hanging open.
Sinbad wondered why of all people, and even among all the magi, they took him. Not only was he affiliated with Al-Thamen, but he was also a troublesome magi. But of course, Judar was also very powerful.
Solomon, Sheba, and Arba looked at each other and then at Judar.
“He looks too much like you,” Solomon commented.
“I have not had any children,” Arba commented in disgust at the accusation.
“Perhaps a distant relative?” Sheba added.
“Not that I know of,” Arba replied.
Jafar growled at the image of the playful Judar, who used to tease Sinbad, his king. He did not like the magi at all, much less now that he was being elevated to such a position of power.
Alibaba looked at the image curiously, as he always found the crimson-eyed magi curious as well as annoying. He wanted to see what kind of person Judar had become in that universe.
The Sixteenth Legion are the Black Sheep, led by the Primarch Zuko. His legion of 170,000 soldiers specialize in shock assaults, devastating actions, and strategic decapitation attacks.
“Zuzu?” Azula asked, torn between shock and anger at seeing her weak brother leading so many men, being superior to her.
“He doesn't have his burn scar,” was all Ozai said, more curious about this version of his son born and raised for war. Will he perhaps be more like him, with a desire to conquer? Or is he still the weak child who hides behind his mother's skirts?
Iroh lowered his head in concern. He understood better than anyone the kind of person Zuko was and is. His nephew had initially been full of anger, though never cruelty. He hoped that in that universe, anger would not be a problem for him. The last thing he wanted was to see him get lost once again and live to regret it.
“He look so cool.” Sokka said with stars in his eyes as he looked at the image of Zuko in armor. “I want one.”
Katara and Aang looked at Sokka in amusement at his shocked expression. They could almost see drool coming out of the shocked blue-eyed young man's mouth. They didn't blame him either, as they were equally amazed at seeing Zuko's appearance, not only by his armor, but by his lack of a scar on his face. It felt strange to see Zuko's face without his characteristic scar.
The Seventeenth Legion are the Emperor's Nobles, led by their Primarch, Ciel Phantomhive. Their legion of 150,000 soldiers are specialized in mass assaults, surveillance actions, gnoetic purges, and suppression of ideological revolts.
"Ciel?" Rachel whispered in shock. "But he's not Ciel."
"Ah, so my little brother took my name." Sirius laughed mockingly, as it was abundantly clear to everyone that the adult in the image with a huge resemblance to Vincent was not the real Ciel. That was not Sirius, but his younger brother.
"Young Master, you are troublesome," Sebastian smiled, although his smile was cold.
Vincent Phantomhive looked with cold eyes at the image of his youngest son, with beautiful features almost identical to his own. What game was his son playing at, taking the name Ciel? His gaze turned to the butler-dressed man with red eyes he had never seen before.
Claude smiled slightly, wishing he could get a taste of Ciel without Sebastian (who he sent a disgusted look to) getting in his way.
Alois looked at the image of adult Ciel in a trance, for the child he had seen before was going to grow into an adult of great elegance and beauty. Definitely, everything about him screamed noble.
The Eighteenth Legion are known as the Sons of Cadmus and are led by their Primarch, Conner. They are a legion of 89,000 soldiers, all specialized in high intensity or asymmetric warfare, Zonas Mortalis, planetary interdiction, liberation and defense operations. Each of the soldiers of this legion has seen more of the galaxy than any other legion combined. They are never in one place for too long and are, in fact, the ones who search other worlds for signs of ancient technology.
At the mention of ancient technology, several in the room perked up in curiosity. Ancient technology? What kind of technology was being talked about? Forbidden creations? Weapons of mass destruction?
"Kon," Clark whispered, gulping as he saw the image of the clone in his adult form, no longer as a young boy with bright eyes that longed for attention. It was now that he began to wonder if he had made a mistake by pushing him aside.
"Oh, he has the color of the Kryptonian, but he has my complexion," Luther smiled cruelly, because indeed, although the similarities with Superman could be seen, the Conner in the image was thinner and with somewhat softer features, more like Lex's.
"But how ironic that his legion is called that," Lex thought with amusement.
Diana knew she was not the only one who was beginning to fear if someway or another, that Conner could cross universes and end up in theirs. That Conner was much more grown up, and sounded much more powerful and dangerous.
Bruce Wayne had similar thoughts to Diana, but his thoughts also took the path of Conner's Legion's research into technology. Why were they searching for ancient technologies? Was there a reason behind it or was it just a whim? Bruce was frustrated by the lack of answers and the growing number of questions.
Hal listened intently, his mind focusing on the fact that Conner had seen a lot of the galaxy. What kind of beings had he encountered? How had he acted when he arrived on a world? If the Emperor's plan was to conquer, what had he and his children done to planets inhabited by humans or alien races?
Barry gulped. After everything he'd heard, it was all he could do to keep his mind from filling up with cosmic horrors.
Lois stared in amazement at Conner's resemblance to Clark, even if she could see the similarities he also had with Lex Luthor. She wondered who Conner would resemble in personality.
"What horrors and wonders have you encountered in your travels, Conner?" was the collective thought.
The Nineteenth Legion are known as the Dragons, led by their Primarch, Aemond Targaryen, who is the Lord Commander of the Imperium and its Imperial Regent. They are the largest legion with 250,000 soldiers, specializing in rapid deployment and strategic interdiction operations, armed reconnaissance, guerrilla warfare, and low-collateral damage conquest.
“Wait, what is this about Imperial Regent and Commander?” Rhaenyra asked in shock. The princess gulped, not wanting to see Aemond in such a position that would give him authority and the right to legitimately rule over the Imperium.
She looked at her father, who watched the screen with amazement and a gleam in his eyes. No, they couldn't show Aemond in such a position or that sight would threaten her place on the throne if her father started to have ideas that Aemond could rule much better than her.
“Oh, but how curious.” Daemon laughed. “That nephew of mine is more interesting than I thought, I should have paid more attention to him.”
But his words did nothing to calm Rhaenyra's beating heart, who didn't notice the lustful eyes of her uncle, who looked at the image of an Aemond with two amethyst eyes shining in authority.
Aegon shrugged with a smile as he looked at his half-sister. It was clear to him, and to many, that the only one who truly had a good head on his shoulders to rule the kingdom was Aemond. That the others were after Rhaenyra's loose skirts and did not want to accept it was no longer his problem.
His eyes tried not to look at the image of his brother with two eyes. If he did, he feared that he would strangle Rhaenyra’s damned bastard who was looking at his younger brother with lust as if he had not been the one who tore out his brother's eye.
Helaena smiled softly at the sight of her brother's image with two eyes, although it also caused her some sadness, since it seemed that Vhagar would not accommodate her brother in his odyssey.
Daeron only watched the two bastards. That was all he did, he watch them. If it had been up to him, he would have already gouged out their eyes for daring to look at his older brother like that.
Alicent looked proudly at the image of her son in red and black armor, with two shining amethyst eyes and a laurel wreath atop his silver hair.
Viserys tried his hardest not to be enchanted by the image of Aemond as Regent. They hadn't even been shown what he would be like as a regent and commander, but his mind was already beginning to spin over what this could mean for the Seven Kingdoms. For the first time, he felt doubtful of his actions. Had he done right in choosing Rhaenyra as his successor? He looked at his two brown-haired grandsons and gulped. They were bastards, and nothing could save them from that title.
Lucerys felt guilty as he saw what his uncle would look like if he had his two eyes. There wasn't a day that he didn't regret what he did, especially because his uncle, from that day on, had begun to despise him like never before. His uncle, who used to look at him and give him a small smile, now looked at him as if he wanted him to burn. Lucerys was sure that if they let him, Aemond would stab him or burn him alive.
"Wow," Jacaerys whispered with a slight blush on his cheeks as he saw the image of his uncle. He looked like a Targaryen.
On the other hand, several in the room looked at the screen coldly, their minds spinning at the additional titles that this specific Primarch held. Why was he the Regent and Commander when there was Zhuo Yifan, the Warmaster, and the Emperor, the ruler of the Imperium?
"Something's not right," Odin whispered. "Is it perhaps related to the Chaos Marines?"
The Twentieth Legion is the Crimson Saints, led by Primarch Cale Henituse. The legion has a size of 180,000 soldiers. They are specialized in surprise assaults, sabotage, infiltration, insurgency and counterinsurgency warfare, multi-vector attacks, interplanetary pursuits, decimation campaigns, and long-range raid operations.
“All of those specializations suit him like a glove,” Eruhaben shook his head with a smile, remembering the chaos Cale sowed wherever he walked.
Choi Han smiled proudly. Of course, no one other than Cale was special enough to be worthy of being taken by powerful entities. Choi Han stopped smiling when he heard himself think that. It was actually a nuisance that Cale was being abused like that.
Alberu let out a sigh, already getting an image of the kind of madness that Cale, along with his legion, would unleash against the enemy. His Cale wasn't just cunning and intelligent, but he could be incredibly vicious when he wanted to, and that was the scariest thing of all.
White Star just wanted this to be over quickly. What he really wanted to see was Cale on the battlefield. He wanted to see what kind of exquisite enemy he was facing, with no limitations and fully made for war.
“Human. Human. He's my Human.” Raon Miru flapped his little wings in excitement at the sight of his adoptive father, causing Eruhaben to pat his scaly little head reassuringly.
“I knew he was a god.” Clopeh whispered with incredible happiness, clasping his hands together in prayer.
Elsewhere in the room, the shinobi looked at each other, knowing that no one from their universe was shown, but there were still two missing Primarchs.
Likewise, the gods, the Valkyrie, and the humans present all had the same question. Did one of the Primarchs erased from history have something to do with no one from their universe showing up?
The Legions are known for being loyal to the Emperor and terrifyingly brutal when they must, following the word of their father and creator to the letter and without any hesitation.
“They didn’t show anyone from our world, Tobi,” Hashirama complained to his brother, causing him to roll his eyes.
“What do you want me to do, Hashirama?” Tobirama rolled his eyes, exasperated.
“Where’s Madara?” the elder Senju complained once again, being ignored by everyone, though Izuna gave him a dirty look for talking about his beloved older brother.
“If they didn’t show anyone we know, why did they bring us?” Ashura asked. Indra looked at him like he was an idiot.
“There are still two Primarchs who weren’t named. Obviously it must be them, Ashura,” the elder Otsutsuki replied.
Itachi and Obito simply remained silent, both with the same thoughts as Indra.
However, they weren’t the only ones with the same questions.
“In the end, he created his great generals,” Eve said softly, squeezing Adam’s hand. “I don’t know how to feel about it.”
“Don’t be afraid, Eve. Everything must be for a reason,” Adam assured her, not wanting to see the sadness on his wife’s beautiful face. That didn’t take away from the fact that he was worried about humanity, and even more so, about the acts they have committed.
“They didn’t show anyone from our universe,” Qin Shi Huang murmured disappointedly, his face resting on his hand.
“How curious.” Brunhilde whispered. “Maybe it's related to the missing legions.”
“I've been brought before all this rubbish for nothing.” Poseidon spoke coldly and angrily.
“At least we've seen some entertaining things.” Zeus laughed, unconcerned about everything.
“No, we've been brought here for a reason.” Hades said.
