Trainer Urokodaki
=- Mount Sagiri -===- Urokodaki POV -=
Urokodaki and Sabito are out training on the mountain. Sabito has been living with Urokodaki for a year now and has made great progress. Water breathing may be the simplest form of breathing, but learning five out of ten forms perfectly is remarkable. Especially for a twelve year old.
Sakonji looks at the sky and sees that the sun is about to set. “Sabito, we’re finishing training for today. Let’s go back to the house.”
Just as they were on their way back, Urokodaki notices a smell. A smell he's never smelled before. “Please go to the house alone, Sabito. I have to check something else,” Urokodaki says calmly. Sabito nods and makes his way to the foot of the mountain.
The ex-water Hashira grabs his Nichirin sword (which he has with him) and walks in the direction of the strange smell. It doesn't smell like a demon, but it doesn't smell 100 percent like a human either. It's an indescribable smell.
Sakonji gets closer and closer to the smell. He sees something lying in the distance. As he got closer, he saw a boy. The boy lies unconscious in the snow. He doesn't look any older than Sabito, he has chin-length black hair and a dark blue kimono with a strange symbol on it.
Urokodaki immediately sits down next to the boy and checks his pulse. Thank heavens he's still alive, he thinks. He carefully takes the boy in his arms. He's ice cold, how did he get here?, Sakonji asked himself.
=- House at the foot of the mountain -=- Sabito POV -=
Urokodaki Sensei has been gone for a while now, Sabito thought as he lit the fire in the main room.
Just as he was about to add the firewood, he heard footsteps. The door is carefully opened and his teacher is standing at the door. He carries a child in his arms. “Who is that?” asks Sabito.
Urokodaki silently walks towards the fire. He carefully places the boy in front of the fire and says "I don't know who he is, I found him like that in the forest."
Even though the sensei is wearing his tengu mask, Sabito knows that he is worried about the boy. “Is there something I can do Sensei?”
“Can you get him a blanket and some water?” he replies. Sabito immediately goes and gets the blanket first. The boy looks pale and it is very cold outside.
=========- An hour later -==========
“He hasn’t moved for an hour,” says Sabito. On cue, the boy moves. He turns and mumbles something.
Urokodaki looks up from his soup and turns his head to the boy. "He's awake," he says.
==========- Sasuke POV -==========
His eyes feel heavy. Heavier than the last two damn times he woke up from unconsciousness.
He probably walked around that damn mountain for an hour or two until he passed out.
Sasuke slowly stands up. He has two arms again, which feels a bit strange. He looks around cautiously and sees a boy about his age. Well, his current physical age.
He has peach colored hair and gray lavender colored eyes. Also a large scar that extends from the right corner of his mouth to his right ear. He also wears a white kimono and underneath a green yukata patterned with a geometric hexagon pattern in yellow and dark green.
The other person is older. He wears a tengu mask that covers his entire face. He has gray hair and wears a sky blue Jinbei kimono with a cloud pattern.
"Where am I?" Sasuke asks in his daze. "I found you unconscious in the forest and brought you here to my house," the older man said calmly.
“My name is Sakonji Urokodaki and this is Sabito. “Will you tell us your name?” asked Urokodaki.
Sasuke looked at both of them with wide eyes. Should I mention my real name? I think it would be better if I use an alias, Sasuke thinks.
=========- Urokodaki POV -=========
The boy looks at both of them with wide eyes. A light dark blue shimmers in his dark eyes. “Tomioka,” the boy replies after what feels like an eternity. “Giyuu Tomioka.”
“Hello Giyuu,” Sakonji greets him properly again. Sabito also greets him with “Hello.” The boy seems shy, Urokodaki thinks.
“Are you hungry?” Urokodaki asks, already holding a wooden bowl ready. After the boy nodded in agreement, he puts some of the soup in the bowl and hands it to Giyuu.
Giyuu carefully accepts the still steaming broth. While he eats the soup, Urokodaki says to Sabito "Go to sleep in your room, we'll continue training tomorrow."
“Goodnight Sensei,” says Sabito and goes into his room. The boy has now finished his soup and is holding the bowl in his hand.
“Here, I’ll take the bowl from you.” He takes the bowl from the child and puts it aside to wash up. “You can rest here overnight. Good night.” Urokodaki says calmly.
The boy just nods briefly. In full tension and vigilance, he waits for the older one to leave. Sakonji notices this and heads towards his bedroom.
========- The next morning -========
Sakonji wakes up early as usual. He carefully walks into the main room of the small house. He didn't want to scare the guest in the room.
Surprisingly, the boy is already awake. He sits in front of the now extinguished fire. “Good morning, I hope you slept well,” Sakonji greeted.
The boy looked at him with alert eyes. Which makes Sakonji wonder if the boy slept at all. “Good morning,” the boy greeted back.
He's being careful, Urokodaki thought as he turned the fire back on. Giyuu watches him carefully.
==========- Sasuke POV -==========
The god didn't give me a name, but I believe that this man is the former member it was talking about.
Sasuke watches the old man with a watchful eye. Even if he doesn't sense any evil intentions from the man, but this man has the aura of a hunter.
I have to be careful. My body no longer has its previous strength and endurance. Also, my Rinnegan seems to be missing, Sasuke thinks.
A door opens. The boy from yesterday comes into the room. He is already wide awake and apparently ready for the training mentioned yesterday.
“Good morning,” said Sabito. Urokodaki greets back and Sasuke, or now Giyuu, watches everything.
“Breakfast is already ready. After that you can go to the mountain and start training,” says Urokodaki.
He also gave Giyuu some rice for breakfast. After Sabito leaves for training, Urokodaki turns his attention to Giyuu.
“How are you?” the old man asks. “I’m fine, thank you for saving me,” Tomioka replies.
“Can you tell me where you come from and why I found you in the forest?” Urokodaki asks calmly.
I have to find an alibi. If I tell the actual story, no one will believe me. They think I'm crazy.
“I fled my village. They told me I was crazy because I told them my brother was killed by a demon." Giyuu said, with fake sadness and discomfort.
He acted as if he realized something. “You don’t think I’m crazy too, do you?”
“No, I believe you,” says the man. “I myself am a former demon hunter. The boy you saw is my student.”
“You train demon hunters?” asks Giyuu. Urokodaki replies “Exactly, are you interested in being my student too?”
That's exactly what I plan to do, thinks Giyuu and laughs to himself. "Really? I would like to be that.”
“Then let’s go to Sabito. He's probably waiting." Sakonji stands up and waits until Giyuu does the same. Together they go up the mountain to Sabito.
On the way to the training site on the mountain, Giyuu makes a mental to-do list. 1. Find out how the god stays in touch with him, 2. Ask where his Rinnegan is, 3. Train his body to regain his chakra control and 4. Find out more about the world.
After a while of walking they arrived at the training ground. The air is very thin up here, thinks Giyuu. He sees the boy practicing sword strikes.
When the boy notices them, he stops and walks over to them.
“What are we practicing today, Sensei?” Sabito asks, looking forward to the training. “Today we’ll go over the basics again. We have a new addition.” As Urokodaki said this, he looked down at Giyuu.
Sabito pouted but made no move to argue.
