First Encounter
.......
'So boring...' Ena thought, yawning as she looked around. It's been around a year since she ran away—maybe two years? She lost track of time. She never really cared about it anyway; it barely had a meaning to her species.
Her tail moved from side to side, sweeping the snow under it. Just as she was about to go back to her hiding to get some sleep, she heard a rustle of leaves and footsteps. She immediately turned to the sound, watching as the sounds got closer...
"Uuughh... Where is it?!" A cheerful yet whiny voice called out. What kind of weirdo talks to themself? Ena stepped closer, hiding behind a tree... She saw a feminine figure wearing a long coat and a beanie. It was winter after all.
The person sighed, looking around and searching for something... !! Their gazes met and Ena immediately got ready to run.
"Haiiiooo!!" The blonde waved, smiling happily as she hopped to Ena, scaring the brunette into freezing. "Wooaah...! Your horns are so cool!" The pink-eyed girl said, cupping Ena's cheek and examining her horns.
Ena snapped out of her confusion, pushing the girl away. "What the hell?! Who are you?! Why are you here?! W-what are you doing?!" Ena questioned, barking aggressively.
"Aaaa!!" The girl got scared by Ena's shouting and jumped back in fear. "Sorry!! I'm so sorry!!" The blonde started bowing, trying to show her genuine apologetic feelings. She cleared her throat and began with a proper introduction. "I am Tenma Saki! Some animal stole a gift that I got for my older brother!!"
"...You have...a brother?" Ena questioned, uncomfortable with the memory of her own brother... What happened to him..? Is he okay..? No. That was stupid to think about. "Nevermind. I'll get you that thing if you leave me alone." Ena crossed her arms, her eyes narrowing.
"Okii!" Saki immediately got all happy and joyous... 'What a weirdo...' Ena thought as she stared at the blonde in front of her.
--------------------
The two searched the whole forest before Saki looked up at the sky. "Aw... It's really late, I need to go..." Saki pouted, crossing her arms in disappointment.
"Seriously?! You're just going to leave me?!" Ena growled, staring at Saki angrily. "Mom and Dad will get worried if I come home at midnight!!" Saki made a puppy face, silently begging Ena to let her go.
Despite her annoyance at the blonde, Ena clushed. "Fine. But you're coming back in the mornin-" "THANK YOU SO MUCH!!" Saki threw herself at Ena, making the hermit more flustered. "GET OFF!!"
-----------------
Ena couldn't stop thinking about the girl she met. She was gorgeous and a ray of pure sunshine. It was adorable and made Ena question herself... 'Do I... Like girls..?' Ena wondered. She never really liked anyone, but a girl? Really? What would her parents thi-... Nevermind. Ena wanted to finally sleep, but Saki kept piling up in her thoughts making the brunette want to scream.
-----------------------
'Where is she?' Saki thought to herself, playfully pouting. Eager to make a new friend, she bought a board game they could play and her favorite magazines! Now she just needed to wait for the brunette!
Ena eventually arrived, looking very tired due to the lack of sleep. "Let's gooo~!" Saki playfully exclaimed, grabbing Ena's arm and dragging her through the forest, searching for her lost gift.
"Over there," Ena said as she pointed at a tree... it was high up on a branch. Before Ena realized it, Saki was climbing up the tree to get it. "Hey!! You'll fall and get hurt!" Ena ran over, ready to catch the blonde.
"Got it!" Saki smiled, grabbing the gift and holding onto it. She looked down to search for a safe way down... 'Aha!' Saki smirked smugly and jumped right onto Ena, causing both of them to fall.
'What the hell?!" Ena exclaimed, holding onto Saki despite being extremely embarrassed. Saki giggled, which turned into laughter as she lifted herself and sat near Ena... Her laughter was adorable... No! What was up with Ena, why did she have such thoughts?...
