Chapter 1
Kakashi's students were late. Again.
He wondered what their excuse would be this time. There was no way anything could top "We were watering Shodaime-sama's trees and forgot the time." from last Thursday. Probably. He sighed, looking around and giving them the benefit of the doubt, but not spotting any of his three students.
Waiting it was, then. After twenty-five minutes of standing around, the figures of his students emerged at the horizon, making their way to the training ground.
"Sorry, Sensei. We–" Naruto started, only to be cut off by, surprisingly, Sasuke.
"We were busy hosting our dating show."
Sakura added, "For the premiere, we even called for an expert in the field." Then, as if that wasn't outrageous enough, "Jiraiya-sama was unexpectedly willing to be interviewed." She shrugged.
Sasuke nodded along, not at all bothered by the ridiculousness of this ordeal. To finish it off, the three left Kakashi completely stupefied by chanting in complete unsion–
"Sorry, Sensei, we won't do it again."
Yeah, as if.
"So..." Naruto asked, boredom in his tone, "Will we start training now?"
"We don't have all day, you know." Sasuke agreed.
"And we still have to plan the second part of our show." Sakura impatiently said.
Kakashi sighed. He was too old for this. Yet again, his students were late, and Kakashi was proven completely wrong about the extent of his students' ability to craft excuses.
