Chapter 17

The day dawned bright and clear, as if the heavens themselves were smiling upon the union of Prince Sasuke Uchiha and Princess Sakura Senju. The air was filled with excitement and anticipation as guests from far and wide gathered for what was being hailed as the wedding of the century.

The grand cathedral, a neutral ground chosen to symbolize the unity of the two clans, was adorned with a breathtaking array of flowers. Delicate cherry blossoms intertwined with the deep red of Uchiha clan symbols, creating a visual representation of the joining of the two families.

Inside, the pews were filled with a sea of faces. The Uchiha clan, resplendent in their dark formal wear, occupied one side of the aisle. The Senju, in lighter, earthy tones, sat opposite. Yet the division seemed superficial, as members of both clans chatted amiably, the air of hostility that had once defined their relationship now nothing more than a distant memory.

In the front row, Naruto Uzumaki sat with his wife, Hinata, their hands clasped tightly. Naruto's parents, Minato and Kushina, next to them looking happier than the last time they were in a room with the bride and groom. On the Uchiha side, Itachi sat with his parents, King Fugaku and Queen Mikoto, all three looking regal and composed, though those who knew them well could see the excitement dancing in their eyes.

Kings and queens from across the Land of Fire occupied the rows behind the families, their crowns glinting in the soft light filtering through the stained-glass windows. Among them sat the delegation from the Land of Sand, led by King Gaara, his siblings Princess Temari and Prince Kankuro at his side.

At the altar, Prince Sasuke stood tall and proud, his dark eyes fixed on the cathedral doors. He cut a striking figure in his formal attire – a deep blue coat embroidered with silver thread, the Uchiha fan symbol subtly incorporated into the design. At his side, Naruto stood as his best man, barely containing his excitement.

A hush fell over the gathered crowd as the first notes of music filled the air. The doors swung open, and all eyes turned to witness the entrance of the bride.

Princess Sakura appeared in the doorway, a vision of grace and beauty. Her gown was a masterpiece, the result of countless hours of work by the kingdom's finest craftsmen. The bodice hugged her figure perfectly, a sweetheart neckline accentuated by an overlay of delicate lace that extended into long, sheer sleeves. The skirt flowed out in a cascade of silk and tulle, scattered with tiny crystal beads that caught the light with every step.

Atop her pink hair, carefully styled in an elegant updo, sat Grandmother Mito's tiara, its diamonds sparkling brilliantly. The Uchiha clan necklace, gifted by Mikoto, rested at her throat, a symbol of her acceptance into her new family.

As Sakura began her walk down the aisle, arm-in-arm with her father, King Dan, audible gasps of admiration echoed through the cathedral. Sasuke, usually so composed, felt his breath catch in his throat. His eyes never left Sakura as she approached, his heart swelling with an emotion he could scarcely contain.

When they reached the altar, Dan placed Sakura's hand in Sasuke's, the gesture heavy with symbolism. The two young royals turned to face each other, their eyes locked in a gaze of pure adoration.

The officiant, a respected elder chosen for his neutrality, began the ceremony. He spoke of love, of unity, of the bridging of divides. But for Sasuke and Sakura, the world had narrowed to just the two of them.

When the time came for the vows, Sasuke spoke first, his voice clear and strong despite the emotion evident in his eyes.

"Sakura," he began, "from the moment I first saw you, I knew you were different. You challenged me, you pushed me to be better. We've fought side by side in battle, faced challenges together that I never thought I'd overcome. But more than that, you've fought your way into my heart."

A collective "aww" rippled through the audience, and Sakura felt tears welling in her eyes.

Sasuke continued, "I vow to stand by your side, in peace and in war, in joy and in sorrow. I promise to be your partner, your confidant, and your closest friend. Our two clans have a history of conflict, but with you, I vow to build a future of peace and love."

Sakura took a deep breath, steadying herself before speaking her vows.

"Sasuke," she said, her voice soft but clear, "we began as two people from warring clans, thrust together by duty. But fate had other plans for us. Through every battle, every challenge, you've been my rock, my support. You've seen me at my strongest and at my weakest, and you've loved me through it all."

She paused, blinking back happy tears. "I vow to stand with you, to fight alongside you – not against enemies, but for our shared dreams. I promise to be your healer, your confidante, and your partner in all things. With you, I vow to bridge the divide between our clans and create a legacy of love and unity that will last for generations."

There wasn't a dry eye in the cathedral as the couple exchanged rings, the bands of gold symbolizing their eternal commitment to each other.

Finally, the officiant pronounced them husband and wife, and Sasuke pulled Sakura into a kiss that sent ripples of joy through the assembled guests. The cathedral erupted in cheers and applause, the sound of celebration drowning out any lingering doubts or old enmities.

As the newlyweds made their way back down the aisle, they were showered with flower petals, the air filled with laughter and congratulations. Outside, the common folk who had gathered to catch a glimpse of the royal couple cheered and waved, their enthusiasm infectious.

The reception was held in the expansive gardens of the newly constructed castle that would serve as Sasuke and Sakura's home. Tables groaned under the weight of a feast fit for royalty, with dishes representing both Uchiha and Senju culinary traditions. In the center of it all stood a magnificent wedding cake, its tiers adorned with sugar flowers that mimicked the blossoms decorating the cathedral.

As the guests mingled and celebrated, Sasuke and Sakura made their rounds, greeting everyone personally. They stopped to chat with Naruto and Hinata, the four young royals laughing together like the old friends they were.

"I can't believe you actually did it, Sasuke!" Naruto exclaimed, clapping his friend on the back. "You married Sakura-chan!"

Sasuke smirked, but his eyes were soft as he looked at his bride. "Believe it," he said, echoing Naruto's favorite phrase.

Hinata hugged Sakura tightly. "You look absolutely beautiful," she said. "And so happy."

Sakura beamed. "I am," she replied. "I really, really am."

They moved on to greet the delegation from the Land of Sand. King Gaara offered his congratulations in his usual quiet manner, but there was genuine warmth in his eyes.

"Your union brings hope for lasting peace," he said. "The Land of Sand stands with you in this new era."

Princess Temari winked at Sakura. "And if this one gives you any trouble," she said, jerking her thumb at Sasuke, "just let me know. I'll set him straight."

Sakura laughed as Sasuke rolled his eyes good-naturedly. The easy banter between former rivals was yet another sign of how much had changed.

As the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the festivities, it was time for the first dance. Sasuke led Sakura to the center of the dance floor, the guests forming a circle around them.

The music began, a beautiful melody that spoke of love and new beginnings. Sasuke placed one hand on Sakura's waist, the other clasping hers gently. As they began to move, it was as if the rest of the world faded away.

"You're beautiful," Sasuke murmured, his eyes never leaving Sakura's face.

Sakura smiled up at him, her heart full to bursting. "And you're handsome," she replied. "My husband."

The word sent a thrill through both of them. Husband and wife, united at last.

As they twirled across the dance floor, lost in their own world, their guests watched with joy and not a little amazement. To see an Uchiha and a Senju so in love, so perfectly in sync, was something many had thought impossible not too long ago.

Tsunade leaned against Dan, tears in her eyes. "Our little girl," she whispered. "All grown up and married."

Dan squeezed her hand. "And to think, we once worried about this match."

Across the dance floor, Fugaku and Mikoto watched their son with pride. "He looks happy," Fugaku said, his usual stern expression softened.

Mikoto nodded, smiling. "They both do. I think we made the right choice, encouraging this union."

As the first dance ended, other couples joined Sasuke and Sakura on the dance floor. Naruto swept Hinata into an enthusiastic, if slightly clumsy, dance. Minato and Kushina showed off the smooth moves that had made them famous in their youth. Even Gaara was coaxed onto the dance floor by an enthusiastic Senju cousin.

The night wore on, filled with music, laughter, and joy. Sasuke and Sakura danced with seemingly endless energy, taking turns with various family members and friends. Sakura shared a touching dance with Fugaku, while Sasuke twirled a delighted Tsunade around the floor.

As the moon rose high in the sky, casting its silver light over the celebration, Sasuke and Sakura finally took a moment for themselves. They slipped away from the party, finding a quiet spot in the garden.

"Happy?" Sasuke asked, wrapping his arms around Sakura from behind.

Sakura leaned back against him, sighing contentedly. "More than I ever thought possible," she replied. "And you?"

Sasuke pressed a kiss to her temple. "I never knew I could be this happy," he admitted. "Thank you, Sakura. For everything."

They stood there for a long moment, savoring the peace and the promise of their future together. The sounds of the ongoing celebration drifted to them on the night breeze – music, laughter, the clinking of glasses in endless toasts to the happy couple.

"We should go back," Sakura said eventually, though she made no move to leave Sasuke's embrace. "They'll be missing us."

Sasuke hummed in agreement, but tightened his hold on her. "Just a few more minutes," he murmured. "I want to remember this moment forever."

Sakura turned in his arms, reaching up to cup his face in her hands. "We have a lifetime of moments ahead of us," she said softly. "But yes, let's stay here a little longer."

As they shared a tender kiss under the moonlight, both Sasuke and Sakura knew that this was just the beginning. They had overcome the barriers of clan rivalry, pushed past their own doubts and fears, and found in each other a love deeper and truer than either had dared to hope for.

The wedding of the century was drawing to a close, but for Sasuke and Sakura, it was the start of a new chapter – one they would write together, with love, understanding, and the unshakeable bond they had forged between them.

The celebration had wound down, the last of the guests bidding farewell to the newlyweds with warm embraces and heartfelt congratulations. As the moon hung high in the night sky, Prince Sasuke and Princess Sakura, now husband and wife, made their way to the waiting carriage that would take them to the Uchiha castle for the time being. Their new home, still under construction, would not be ready for several months.

Sakura's gown rustled softly as Sasuke helped her into the carriage, her hand trembling slightly in his. As they settled into their seats, Sasuke noticed the slight furrow in Sakura's brow.

"Are you alright?" he asked, his voice low and concerned.

Sakura started, as if pulled from deep thoughts. "Oh! Yes, I'm fine," she said, offering a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes. "Just... tired, I suppose. It's been a long day."

Sasuke nodded, though he sensed there was more she wasn't saying. As the carriage set off, he took her hand in his, his thumb tracing soothing circles on her skin.

The journey to the Uchiha castle, which would serve as their temporary residence, was short but seemed to stretch on endlessly. Along the way, Sakura gazed out of the window, and soon the silhouette of their future home came into view, still half-finished and surrounded by scaffolding. The sight made her heart flutter with a mix of excitement and apprehension.

"It's not quite ready yet," Sasuke murmured, his tone reassuring, as if sensing her thoughts.

Sakura nodded. "It's strange to think that soon, it'll be ours," she said softly, her voice filled with wonder. The half-built structure seemed both a promise and a reminder of the responsibilities that lay ahead.

The carriage rolled past the unfinished home, and Sasuke gave her hand a gentle squeeze. "We'll move in once it's complete. For now, we'll stay at the Uchiha castle. It won't be long."

As the carriage continued, the familiar landscape gave way to the imposing dark stone of the Uchiha stronghold, a stark contrast to the warm, earthy tones of the Senju castle Sakura had grown up in. The sight of the Uchiha castle looming before them brought a fresh wave of nerves.

The carriage came to a stop, and once again, Sasuke helped Sakura down. As her feet touched the ground, she took a deep breath, steeling herself for the new chapter ahead.

They were greeted at the entrance by a small gathering of Uchiha clan members who had hurried ahead from the wedding to prepare for their arrival. Among them stood Itachi, a warm smile on his usually stoic face.

"Welcome home, little brother," Itachi said, embracing Sasuke. He then turned to Sakura, his smile widening. "And welcome to you, sister. We're honored to have you join our family."

Sakura felt a wave of relief wash over her at Itachi's kind words. "Thank you," she said softly. "I'm honored to be here."

As they made their way through the castle halls, various clan members approached to offer their congratulations. Sakura did her best to remember names and faces, grateful for Sasuke's steady presence at her side.

Finally, they reached Sasuke's chambers—now their shared rooms for the foreseeable future. Sakura's heart began to race as Sasuke reached for the door handle. This was it. The moment she had both anticipated and dreaded.

As they stepped inside, Sakura's eyes widened. The room had been transformed. Fresh flowers adorned every surface, their sweet scent filling the air. Candles cast a warm, flickering light, creating an intimate atmosphere. In one corner, she spotted her trunks—her belongings that had been sent ahead.

The door closed behind them with a soft click, and suddenly, the reality of their situation came crashing down on Sakura. She was married. This would be their home, at least for now. The room, which held so many of Sasuke's memories, would now hold theirs.

"The guards," Sakura blurted out, her voice higher than usual. "They're... very close, aren't they?"

Sasuke blinked, caught off guard by the sudden observation. He glanced at the door, understanding dawning in his eyes. Without a word, he strode to the door and opened it.

"You're dismissed for the night," he told the guards stationed outside. "Please ensure we're not disturbed unless it's an emergency."

The guards bowed deeply, murmuring their understanding before retreating down the hall. Sasuke closed the door once more, turning back to Sakura with a soft smile.

"Better?" he asked.

Sakura nodded, a blush creeping up her cheeks. "Yes, thank you. I just... I'm not used to having people so close all the time."

Sasuke crossed the room to her, taking her hands in his. "I understand," he said gently. "It takes some getting used to. But I promise, in here, it's just us. No guards, no clan expectations, no royal duties. Just Sasuke and Sakura."

Sakura felt some of the tension leave her body at his words. She looked up into Sasuke's dark eyes, seeing nothing but love and patience there.

"Sasuke," she began, her voice barely above a whisper. "I... I'm nervous. About all of this. The castle isn't finished, I don't know all the Uchiha customs yet, and I..."

Sasuke silenced her with a gentle finger on her lips. "Sakura," he said, his voice filled with warmth. "We're in this together. The castle will be finished soon, and you'll learn our customs in time. As for everything else..." He paused, a faint blush coloring his own cheeks. "We'll figure it out together. There's no rush."

Sakura felt tears welling up in her eyes, overwhelmed by Sasuke's understanding. "I love you," she whispered, wrapping her arms around him.

Sasuke held her close, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. "I love you too," he murmured. "More than I ever thought possible."

They stood there for a long moment, simply holding each other. The candles flickered, casting dancing shadows on the walls. Outside, the night was quiet, as if the whole world was holding its breath, giving this moment to just the two of them.

Finally, Sakura pulled back slightly, looking up at Sasuke with a small smile. "So," she said, her voice lighter now. "Husband. What shall we do now?"

Sasuke's lips quirked into a smirk. "Well, wife," he replied, emphasizing the word with obvious pleasure. "How about we start by getting you out of that beautiful but probably very uncomfortable dress?"

Sakura laughed, the sound bright and happy. "That," she said, "sounds like an excellent idea."

As Sasuke moved behind her to help with the intricate fastenings of her gown, Sakura felt the last of her nervousness melt away. Yes, there would be challenges ahead. Yes, there was still much to learn and adjust to. But with Sasuke by her side, she knew they could face anything.

Sakura's heart pounded in her chest as Sasuke gently unfastened the last clasp of her gown. The fabric, heavy with intricate embroidery, began to slip off her shoulders, pooling at her feet like a fallen blossom. She shivered slightly, not from cold but from the electric tension that filled the room. The candles flickered, their soft light casting gentle shadows on the bedchamber walls, while outside the palace windows, the night was still and silent.

"Sasuke," she whispered, her voice trembling just a little. "This... this feels so strange."

He turned her around to face him, his dark eyes searching hers with a mixture of determination and uncertainty. "It does," he admitted softly. "But it also feels... right." He lifted a hand to brush a strand of pink hair from her face, the touch sending a shiver down her spine. "You are my wife, Sakura. And I am your husband. We will figure this out together."

She nodded, swallowing hard as she took a step closer to him. "Together," she repeated, finding comfort in the word. His hands moved to the laces of his own uniform, fingers fumbling slightly as he undid them one by one. When the fabric finally parted, he shrugged it off, revealing the lean, muscular form beneath.

Sakura's breath caught in her throat. She had never seen a man without clothes before, and the sight of Sasuke's toned chest and taut abdomen sent a flutter through her belly. Her gaze flicked downward, her cheeks burning as she saw the evidence of his arousal. His manhood, already half-erect, throbbed slightly in the cool air of the room.

"Is it supposed to look like that?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Sasuke's lips quirked into a faint smile. "From what I know," he replied, his tone equally uncertain. "It feels strange to me too. But I want to be close to you, Sakura. I want to feel you next to me."

Taking a deep breath, Sakura reached out, her fingertips brushing against his skin. The sensation shocked her, both thrilling and terrifying. She watched, mesmerized, as her hand moved lower, tracing the line of his abs until it hovered just above his member. She hesitated, unsure of what to do next.

"Do you want me to touch it?" she asked, her voice wavering.

Sasuke's breathing hitched, his eyes darkening with desire. "Yes," he rasped, his voice thick with need. "Please."

With trembling fingers, Sakura wrapped her hand around his shaft. The heat of it pulsed against her palm, and she marveled at the firmness combined with the slight give of the flesh. Sasuke groaned deeply, his head falling back as she began to stroke him slowly, learning the texture and weight of him.

"Like this?" she murmured, her own body responding to the erotic scene playing out before her.

"Yes," he breathed, his hips moving subtly to meet her hand. "Just like that."

As her strokes became more confident, Sasuke's moans grew louder. He reached for her, pulling her closer until their bodies were flush against each other. The contrast between their naked forms made Sakura dizzy with anticipation. She could feel his heartbeat against her chest, rapid and frantic, matching her own.

"Sakura," he gasped, his voice breaking with longing. "I need... I need to be inside you."

Her eyes widened, a mix of fear and excitement washing over her. "I don't know if I'm ready," she confessed, her voice small.

Sasuke cupped her face in his hands, forcing her to meet his gaze. "We'll go slow," he promised. "And if it hurts, we'll stop. I won't let anything bad happen to you."

Sakura nodded as his hands moving to the hem of her panties. He hesitated for a moment, looking into her eyes for permission. Sakura nodded eagerly, her breath quickening. With a gentle tug, he slid the fabric down her legs, leaving her completely bare before him.

He guided her backward until her knees hit the edge of the bed. With gentle urgency, he urged her to sit, then knelt before her, positioning himself between her legs. She spread them instinctively, feeling exposed and vulnerable but safe in his presence.

His breath came fast as he lined himself up, his tip nudging against her entrance. Sakura bit her lip, bracing herself for the unfamiliar sensation. Sasuke glanced up at her, seeking reassurance, and when she nodded shakily, he pressed forward.

The initial intrusion burned, a sharp pain that made Sakura gasp. She clutched at his shoulders, her nails digging into his skin. Sasuke froze, concern etched across his features. "Did I hurt you?" he asked, his voice laced with worry.

"No," she managed to say, though her breath hitched. "It's just... different."

Slowly, ever so slowly, she relaxed, the discomfort giving way to a deeper, more primal sensation. Sasuke waited, giving her time to adjust, his forehead resting against hers as they shared breaths. When she finally nodded again, indicating she was ready, he began to move, sliding in and out of her in careful, measured thrusts.

Each stroke brought a new wave of sensation, building upon the last until Sakura felt as though she were floating on a sea of pleasure. Sasuke's movements grew more confident, yet still cautious, as he sought to draw her deeper into the vortex of desire. Their bodies moved together, a perfect symphony of instinct and love.

"Sasuke," she whimpered, her voice strained with the effort of holding back tears of sheer ecstasy. "It feels so good."

Hearing her words, his control shattered. With one final, powerful thrust, he buried himself deep inside her. They both cried out, their bodies locked together in a moment of blinding pleasure. Sasuke held her tightly, their hearts pounding in unison as they rode out the waves of their first climax.

"Was that... is that how it's supposed to be?" she asked, her voice soft and vulnerable.

"I...I don't know," he stammered, his cheeks flushing with embarrassment.

Sasuke's fingers trembled slightly as he withdrew from Sakura, and he immediately noticed the small patch of blood on the bedsheets. His eyes widened, and he looked at Sakura with concern. "Sakura... are you alright?"

Sakura winced slightly but smiled reassuringly at him. "I'm fine, Sasuke. It's just... a part of it." She focused her chakra, healing the delicate tissues with a soft glow that emanated from her hands. The bleeding stopped, and she settled back against the pillows, her eyes meeting his with a mixture of tenderness and curiosity.

"Are you sure?" Sasuke asked, his voice filled with genuine worry. He felt a pang of guilt for not being more prepared, for not knowing how to make this easier for her.

Sakura nodded, her smile softening. "Yes, I promise. It was... new, and a little uncomfortable, but it felt right. With you."

Sasuke sighed in relief, leaning down to press a gentle kiss to her forehead. "I think so too," he murmured. "But I want to make it better for you. To make it... special."

Sakura's heart swelled at his words. She reached up, cupping his cheek in her hand. "Then show me, Sasuke. Show me what you feel."

Sasuke hesitated for a moment, then nodded resolutely. He shifted closer, his body aligning with hers once more. This time, however, he began to explore her body with a newfound sense of purpose. His lips trailed down her neck, tasting the delicate skin there, leaving a trail of moist heat in their wake. Sakura shivered under his touch, her breath hitching as his kisses became more insistent, more deliberate.

"Sasuke..." she whispered, her voice trembling with anticipation.

He looked up at her, his dark eyes searching hers for reassurance. "Tell me if I do something wrong," he urged, his voice low and earnest.

Sakura nodded, her fingers tangling in his hair. "You won't," she promised.

Encouraged, Sasuke continued his exploration, his lips moving lower, brushing over the sensitive skin of her collarbone. He paused, his breath warm against her flesh, before venturing further down. He reached the swell of her breasts, and his heart raced as he gently brushed his lips across the fabric of a blanket. Sakura arched into his touch, a soft moan escaping her lips.

Sasuke's hands moved to the fabric, pulling it aside to expose her bare skin. He hesitated again, his eyes darting to hers. "May I?"

Sakura bit her lip, nodding. "Yes..."

With careful precision, Sasuke slid the blanket on to the bed, revealing her breasts for the second time of the evening. He sucked in a breath, his eyes widening at the sight. At the first glance he looked away but not he couldn't. Not again. They were perfect, soft and full, the nipples pebbled with arousal. He felt a surge of protectiveness mixed with something else—something deeper, primal.

He leaned forward, his lips brushing against one rosy peak. Sakura gasped, her back arching as pleasure shot through her. Sasuke's tongue flicked out, teasing the tip, and she cried out, her hands gripping his shoulders.

"Sasuke..." she breathed, her voice thick with desire.

He alternated between her breasts, lavishing attention on each one, learning the rhythm that made her gasp and writhe beneath him. His hands roamed down her body, exploring the curves and planes of her form, every touch sending shivers of delight through her.

As his hands moved lower, he encountered the soft mound of her sex. He hesitated, unsure of what to do next. Sakura opened her eyes, seeing his uncertainty. She took his hand, guiding it to rest gently against her center.

"Touch me here," she whispered, her voice barely above a breath. "It feels good when you do."

Sasuke's fingers trembled as he followed her instruction, pressing gently above her velvety folds. Sakura moaned, her hips bucking against his hand. The action caused him to explore further, feeling the slick warmth that coated her, the evidence of her arousal.

"You're so wet," he murmured, his voice filled with wonder. "What does this mean, Sakura?"

She blushed, her cheeks flaming. "It means... I like it when you touch me. That I want you."

Sasuke's heart pounded in his chest, a fierce joy mingling with his arousal. He continued his ministrations, finding the small, nubbin of flesh that seemed to bring her the most pleasure. He pressed and circled it with his thumb, feeling her shudder and cry out beneath him.

"Sasuke, yes!" she exclaimed, her body arching into his touch. "That's it... right there..."

Sasuke redoubled his efforts, his other hand caressing her breast, tweaking the nipple between his fingers. He watched, fascinated, as her face contorted with pleasure, her breaths coming faster and shallower.

"Sakura..." he whispered, his voice hoarse with need. "I want to... I want to make you come..."

She whimpered, her eyes fluttering closed. "Yes... please... Sasuke..."

With a final, determined push, Sasuke focused all his attention on her clit, circling and teasing until Sakura's body tensed, her back arching off the bed. Her climax washed over her in waves, her inner walls clenching around nothing as she rode out the intense pleasure.

Sasuke watched, enthralled, as she came undone beneath him. When she finally relaxed, collapsing back onto the bed, he couldn't help but feel a deep sense of satisfaction.

Sakura panted, her eyes blurry with tears of joy. "Sasuke... that was amazing..."

He kissed her softly, his own need growing urgent. "We don't have to stop," he whispered against her lips.
