Chapter 3
Minato wasn't worried
Okay maybe he was a little worried
But it was for a good reason, Kakashi was late to training
Kakashi was never late
He came to training with pneumonia once for crying out load
Pneumonia
Minato had honestly been surprised he hadn't collapsed within the first hour since Kakashi had refused to sit out and rest
Kushina would probably say he was overreacting and that Kakashi was fine, but this was Kakashi
For all he was prodigy, he was still very much a nine year old child who still had trouble with limiting himself
A highly trained chunin shinobi with sharp deadly weapons, but a child nonetheless
"Minato-Sensei are you okay?"
Minato was knocked out of his stupor looking towards a concerned Rin
"Ah sorry Rin, I was just lost in thought"
She frowned but accepted his reply
"Sensei, where is Kakashi? He's usually the first one here for training" Rin asked suddenly
"Ahh, I'm no-"
"I'm here! Sorry I'm late!"
Minato was cut off by Obito arriving
"Sorry! I had to help Auntie Miko with her groceries- Hey, where's Bakashi?"
"Ah, it would appear to be that Kakashi is late for training today"
Late by nearly an hour now actually and Minato was really starting to get worried
"Hah?!? But he's never late! Ha! Now he can't lecture me being late!"
Rin frowned
"Obito! That's not nice. Minato-sensei do you really think Kakashi is okay, He's really late."
Minato ... didn't know what to say. He internally makes up his mind
" Rin, Obito, stay here and spar with each other. I'm going to go look for Kakashi"
"Hai!"
With that Minato quickly departed towards where he knew his youngest student lived. He couldn't help but feel a sense of dread as he approached the door to the apartment.
Minato knocks on the door
"Kakashi? Are you there? It's Minato."
Silence
There was no response, so Minato decided to cautiously open the door quickly surveying Kakashi's apartment as he did
Then he hears it
Kakashi
He reacts instinctively, slamming open the bathroom door as he forces himself inside
His heart drops
Kakashi was lying feebly on the floor, his face was pale, gasping for air as he clawed at his throat
"Shit! Kakashi!"
He dropped to his knees grasping Kakashi's face to look towards him
His eyes were glazed over, afraid like a cornered animal
Minato recognized the signs
Kakashi was having a panic attack
He cursed internally and began to pat kakashi's back frantically
"Kakashi, I need you to breathe"
There!
Kakashi's eyes focused a bit and-
Why did he look devastated
Minato barely had time to say anything before Kakashi's eyes rolled behind his head and he promptly passed out
His grip tightened as Kakashi's body went limp in his hold
'What just happened?'
The silence gave no answer
