Chapter 2
As Naruto left the site of his own grave and exited the burial ground, he found that it was at the edge of the village and not in the same place he remembered.
This means that the layout of this kanoha may be different from the one he was in before
The burial ground in his kanoha was located at the center of the village near the hokage office
As he exited the burial ground, the first thing he did was look at the Hokage monument, and he was shocked once again.
It has only four faces carved on it.
The last face carved on the Hokage cliff was of his father.
There was no face of Grandma Tsunade or Kakashi-sensei.
Now he was confused and a little wary about how this world differed from his old one.
He decided the first thing he needed to do was go to the Hokage's office and meet the current Hokage. He wanted to tell him about his situation and the truth that he is not from this dimension, seeing that he was dead in this world.
As he was moving on the road towards the Hokage office, people started giving him weird looks.
They were all acting like they had seen a ghost.
" You should have applied a henge over your face so that no one would know it was you. Judging by the reaction of all these people, it would be safe to assume that everyone in the village knows you are dead," Kurama said in a scolding tone.
"Well, it's a little late for that, and I was shocked to know that I am dead in this world, you know," Naruto defended himself.
As he continued walking forward towards the Hokage office, he suddenly felt a lot of killing intent directed at him.
As he focused a little to see who was radiating it, he saw a girl with red hair to her wrists, blue eyes, and she looked around 15 or 16 years old.
She was wearing a jonin's uniform for the Leaf Village, and she had a short sword strapped to her back.
And he was about to say something when she said, "Who do you think you are, impersonating my dead brother on the day of his death?" Saying that, she removed the sword from her back and turned towards him.
" Oh shit " that was all Naruto could say as he began dodging her sword swing, and it was not like she was moving fast; she was only moving at a low jonin's speed.
"Kurama, how different this world can be! I have a sister who is at least 2 to 3 years younger than me. Did my parents not die in this world?" Naruto asked, confused.
"It is like I said, Naruto. Each choice, each action, every event creates a different possibility, and with it, a different timeline. It may be possible that the Kyuubi attack did not happen in this world, or it happens, but your parents did not die in it. Anything is possible. But right now, focus on calming the girl down, and don't show off your strength if it is not necessary. It will raise less suspicion. We don't know how powerful you were in this world before you died, or whether you were a ninja or not." Kurama replied.
"I will try to calm her down, but by looking at her, it doesn't look possible that she will listen to what I have to say," Naruto replies.
As Naruto dodged all of her sword swings, she grew even more angry. "Do you think not answering me will calm you down? You have the audacity to impersonate my brother on the same day he died, sacrificing his life for me so that I could live." Saying that, she got even more angry, and golden chakra chains started erupting from her back, attacking Naruto.
As the chakra chains started moving faster towards Naruto, their speed increased drastically, and they also came close to impaling him.
Seeing this, Naruto jumped back and said, "Kurama, get into position and start absorbing nature chakra."
Naruto can absorb nature chakra while moving, but he will have to split his focus between sensing nature chakra and fighting the girl, so he decided for Kurama to do it.
As Naruto said that, Kurama closed his eyes, joined his hands together, and started absorbing nature chakra. Naruto entered Sage Mode within seconds.
Minato's POV
Currently, Minato and Jiraiya were in the Hokage's office, discussing the village's defense and any other nations hostile towards Konoha.
Today was the day Naruto died last year, fighting a group of 20 Iwa ANBU who were planning to kidnap his second-born, Mito Namikaze, to kill her as revenge on the Yellow Flash for killing 1,000 of their shinobi in the Third Great Ninja War.
But they didn't account for Naruto accompanying her on her solo mission to the land of tea, from where she had to deliver an important scroll.
They were planning to intercept her at the border of the land of fire.
But both of them, fighting together, they were able to kill all of them. However, Naruto received a number of fatal wounds: one through the heart, two through the lungs, and one across the throat.
Even after having the Kyuubi sealed in him, he was not able to survive his injuries and died in Mito's arms.
Mito carried the dead body back to the Leaf Village.
And regarding the Kyuubi, it was sealed away in the belly of the Shinigami.
You see, when the Kyuubi was released during Naruto's birth from Kushina due to the strain of childbirth.
Sandaime-sama used the Dead Demon Seal and summoned the Shinigami, dividing the Kyuubi's chakra into two parts.
One part he sealed into himself, and the other part he sealed into Naruto. He designed the seal in such a way that, over time, all of the kyuubi's chakra would be absorbed into Naruto. If Naruto died before the absorption process was complete, then the kyuubi's chakra would be pulled into the shinigami's belly and sucked there for all eternity.
So when Naruto died, he lost his son, and Konoha also lost its jinchuriki. Somehow, the information was released that Konoha had lost its only jinchuriki.
Since then, he had been prepared to intercept any attack on the village at any time from any of the four great nations.
And as he was discussing village defences with jaraiya he felt how mito released her chakra and killing intent and was fighting someone inside the village
"Sensei, did you sense it just now?" Minato asked.
" Yes, Mito just released her chakra, and by the looks of it, it seems that she is trying to kill someone. We better hurry and stop her," Jiraiya replied.
As Jiraya finished speaking, I placed my left hand on his shoulder and focused on the flying Thunder God mark that was placed on Mito.
As he connected to the marker, he teleported in front of Mito with Jariya to stop her from killing someone.
Normal POV
Just as Naruto jumped back and entered Sage Mode, he sensed two chakra signatures that were both familiar, teleporting in front of Mito.
These were none other than Minato Namikaze, his father, who was supposed to be dead, and Jiraiya, his sensei, who was also supposed to be dead. He was shocked to see both of them teleport in front of him, but he did not get the chance to process this fact because they were about to be impaled through their heads.
Just as they teleported, the chains were only a few feet away from their faces and were going to impale them.
He was sure his father would be able to avoid the chains using the Flying Thunder God technique, but he was not sure about Jiraiya.
Deciding not to take any chances, he digs deeper into his own chakra reserves and enters the Six Paths Sage Mode.
His eyes gain cross pupils, his iris turning yellow. He runs past both Minato and Jiraiya, using the Yin-Yang Release to touch the chakra chains, nullifying them. He then applies a five-element seal on the girl, sealing away her chakra, exits Six Paths Sage Mode, and his eyes turn back to their blue color.
He did all of this in a matter of seconds; such was his speed in the Six Paths Sage Mode.
As he applied the seal, the girl lost consciousness. He turned around and said, "She started attacking me. I don't even know who she is. And before you say anything about me being dead or an imposter, you should know that I am not from this dimension. I came here by mistake."
Minato was shocked to see a person who looked just like his dead son standing in front of him. As he was about to call this person an imposter, the man said that he was not from this dimension and had come here by mistake.
Now Minato was confused. He knows that there are many other dimensions.
Like the summoning animals live in different dimensions, etc.
But seeing a person who looks like his son shocked him to the core; he was not able to say anything.
Jiraiya was also in shock, seeing his dead godson standing in front of him and claiming to be from another dimension. He looked at Minato, who was in shock, with his mouth hanging open, unable to say anything.
So he stepped forward, looked at this person, and said, "If you say who you are, you will not have any problem coming with us. Right? We can test your DNA to check who you are, and if it comes up a match, then we will listen to you."
Naruto replies, "Fine," and raises his hands forward in the gesture of surrender, closing his eyes.
As Naruto closes his eyes, he appears in front of Kurama and says, "Kurama, I will have to close the seal. I don't know how both of them would react. Seeing that you are free to leave my body anytime you want."
"Fine, brat, but don't keep the seal locked for too long. As soon as they confirm who you are, you are going to open that seal. Do you understand me?" Kurama said in a threatening tone.
" Yes, I know. I will open it as soon as I am on friendly terms with them. But, I also have something that I want to ask you. Are you able to sense your other self? " Naruto questioned.
"Well, not yet. I have been able to sense all of the other tailed beasts, but I am not able to sense myself in this new world. Either he is dead or he is sealed in such a tight seal that his chakra does not leak out of it," Kurama replied.
As Kurama replied, Naruto's right hand lit up with the key to his jinchuriki seal, and he placed his hand on his stomach, rotating it clockwise.
The effects were instantaneous. He felt his chakra getting separated from Kurama's.
All of the warmth of Kurama's purified chakra left his system, and he could only feel his own chakra and eight other chakra types integrated into his own.
These other 8 chakra types were the chakra of all the other 8-tailed beasts.
After the war, he thought that the chakra he had gained from all other tailed beasts was only a temporary thing. However, later on, when he tried to use the kekki genkai he had gained from the tailed beast, he found he could use all of it.
So he went to Tsunade to ask her to perform a check-up on his chakra and to see if there were any changes in his chakra from before.
She informed me that the chakra given to me by all of the tailed beasts has become a permanent part of my own chakra system.
So when my chakra regenerates, it also regenerates the chakra of all eight tailed beasts.
And he doesn't have to fear about their chakra running out.
Naruto exited his mindscape and tried to open his eyes, but he was unable to do so.
"Why did you tie a cloth around my eyes even after I surrendered myself?" Naruto questioned.
"Until we make sure that you are who you say you are, we will not trust you. After all, we wouldn't want a spy to know about the village's layout," Jariya replied.
"You know, both of you are dead in my world. My father died the night I was born, and jaraiya died fighting an enemy who later destroyed the Leaf Village," Naruto told them.
Both of them were shocked to hear that they were dead in his world and the Leaf Village was destroyed. Not knowing if this person was telling the truth, they decided not to say anything.
" Not telling me anything ha, I know proper leaf protocol not to talk to unknowns until you have determined their identity and purpose. Fine, but can you tell me how much time it will take for the DNA test results to come back? " Naruto questioned.
Minato, who had been quiet all this time and was still processing the fact that a lookalike of his son or his son from another dimension had appeared out of nowhere on the day of his son's death, was shocked.
As a father, he was hoping that this person would be his son from another dimension so that he could get another chance to spend time with his eldest son.
But as a Hokage, he was also hoping that this person better not be a spy. Because if he is proven to be a spy, he would have to torture him to get answers, and the thought of torturing someone who looked like his son would break his heart.
That was the reason why he had led Jiraya to do all of the taking till not when he asked how much time it would take for the DNA test, he decided to answer instead of letting Jiraya answer for him.
" It will take at least 2 hours to get the results back "
"Man, your world is sure technologically advanced. In my world, it would take at least a day to get the results back. But it will be nice for me." Naruto replies and stops taking.
After waking for some time, the cloth around Naruto's eyes was removed, and he found himself in a room with no windows. It only had a bed in the corner of the room and a stand on which water was kept, nothing more.
He had never seen anything like this room in his village. As he was about to question where he was, a nurse entered the room, inserted a needle into his arm, and collected his blood before leaving the room.
After the nurse left the room, Minato looked at Naruto and said, "This is a holding cell underground the ANBU headquarters. If you try to escape this cell, you will have to face the full might of the ANBU force. Wait here in this room. We will talk after we get the results for the DNA test." Saying that, he started walking outside the room.
He stopped at the door and looked at Jiraya Standing there, he said, "Sensei, aren't you coming?"
"Go on, I would like to talk with this one. He has picked my interest. I will come back in some time," Jariya replied while looking at Naruto
