echoes of hope

Chapter 1: echoes of hope.

The wind rustled through the trees as Madara made his way into the secret meadow, the place where only he and his friend met. Although the scent of both of them was light, mixing with the smell of grass and the nearby river, there was still that sweet, familiar smell of milk, a reminder that neither of them had reached the stage of their "introduction."

When he finally found Hashirama, he was throwing rocks into the river, trying to make them bounce off the surface. Unaware of his arrival, Madara took the opportunity to silently run over and give him a friendly push. Hashirama stumbled slightly, laughing as he turned around to return the gesture.

–"Madara! I thought you decided not to come today,"– Hashirama joked, throwing another rock at him, this time without much aim.

In this meadow, far from family responsibilities and conflicts, they both seemed to be just two friends, without clans or predestined destinies. Here, they were just children sharing moments without understanding the magnitude of their respective legacies.

Hashirama plopped down on the grass beside the river, staring up at the sky, while Madara sat beside him. A comfortable silence settled between them, broken only by the murmur of the water and the sound of their breathing.

–"You know,"– Madara began, –"I bet I can bounce the stones more times than you."–

Hashirama raised an eyebrow, smirking defiantly. “You think so? Then go ahead, show me what you got.”

Madara crouched down, searching for a smooth, flat stone. He threw it hard, causing it to bounce three times before sinking into the water. Hashirama laughed loudly before picking up his own stone, making it bounce four times, causing Madara to click his tongue, but still smiling.

–"It's not fair, you've had more practice,"– Madara protested, crossing his arms. But he couldn't help but laugh when Hashirama patted him on the back in a friendly manner.

–"Then keep practicing. Or better yet, next time we could have a bet,"– said Hashirama, with a spark of mischief in his eyes.

Madara gave him a challenging look. –"Whenever you want, I won't lose."–

They had a good time competing, not really caring who won. Here, the weight of their clans and future roles in the war seemed to fade away; they were just two kids laughing and teasing each other with genuine camaraderie.

After a while, Hashirama fell silent, his eyes fixed on the river. Madara noticed this immediately. .

–"What's wrong?"– he asked, frowning.

Hashirama sighed, playing with a rock between his fingers. “I’ve heard the adults talking… They say there will soon be another confrontation between the clans. The Senju and the Uchiha are at odds again, and there will probably be a battle soon.”

Madara stared at the water, his expression hardening slightly. The mention of his clan echoed in his mind, though he would never admit to being an Uchiha out loud in front of his friend.

–"Why does it always have to be like this?"– Hashirama continued, not waiting for an answer. –"I don't like it. I don't want us to have to fight all the time. Sometimes I wonder… what if we could create a place where no one has to fight, where all the clans can be at peace?"–

Madara watched him, surprised by the sincerity in Hashirama's voice. His friend's words resonated within him, leaving a seed of hope that he barely understood at the moment.

First parameter for my omegaverse: all puppies (unpresented boys) have the smell of milk in their pheromones, after the presentation depending on the secondary gender this changes due to their own smell, betas have a neutral smell (example: earth, dew, etc.), alphas have a strong smell (example: smoke, mud, etc.) and omegas have a sweet smell (example: flowers, fruits, etc.)
