Chapter 1
The cries of an infant filled the cavern, and Minato could not be more ecstatic. His child, his everything, had been born with a strong pair of lungs, as well as Minato's Hair and eyes. Just looking at his child's face had his eyes filling with tears.
"Its a Healthy Baby girl!" Exclaimed Biwako, the midwife. Taking the child to be cleaned.
Minato was crying tears of joy, but quickly wiped them to return to his task of restraining the Nine-Tails. Placing his hands over the seal on his wife's stomach and funneling chakra.
But before long two piercing screeches reached his ears and he whipped around to see a masked man holding his daughter.
"Fourth Hokage Minato... Step away from the Jinchuriki. Or else this child will die after its first minute" Warned the Masked man. Minato instantly turned towards him. How had he gotten past the barrier, and who was he?
Minato shifted his posture, intending to attack. But he whipped towards his wife as soon as she let out a cry of pain. The Nine-Tails seal wasn't secure, he had to secure it. but before he could do anything the man pulled out a kunai.
"Hurry up and step away from the Jinchuriki... Don't you care what happens to your brat?" The man held the kunai closer as if to emphasize his point.
"Wait! Just stay calm!" Minato replied, realizing what the man had planned.
"Speak for yourself Minato, I am incredibly calm." The Masked man spoke as he threw Minato's daughter in the air, thrusting the kunai to stab her mid air.
Before his wife could even scream their daughters name, Minato had already used the Flying Raijin, Holding Naruto close to his chest as he stuck to the wall.
"As expected of the Yellow Flash, But do tell, what are you going to do next?"
Minato heard the telltale hiss of a paper bomb, and quickly ripped the blanket that was covered in them off, simultaneously using the Flying Raijin.

Minato appeared inside of a small shack, getting halfway out before it exploded, as he got hurled, the blond held his daughter close to his chest.
Once Minato made sure Naruto was safe, he started thinking. The masked man had forced him to use the Flying Raijin, he had separated them, he must be going after Kushina. He had to hurry.
Minato disappeared, reappearing inside his bedroom, and laying his daughter in the bed. "Please be patient, Naruto. I have to go rescue your mother."

Kushina had never felt such pain in her life, it felt like molten iron was flowing through her veins. Having a Biju extracted really sucked.
"You Uzumaki Shinobi really are incredible... You don't even die after having a Biju extracted?" As the masked man spoke, the Nine-Tails Lifted its clawed hand, intent on crushing her.
"You were his Jinchuriki, I'll let you die by his hand." As the massive hand descended upon her, she was suddenly grabbed, reappearing on a nearby tree, in her husband's arms.
"M-Minato, ...Naruto... is Naruto... all right?" Asked Kushina, voice hoarse enough to surprise even her.
"Yeah, She's okay... She's in a safe place right now..."
"That's good... Minato... You have to stop that man... He plans to unleash the Nine-Tails upon Konoha" Minato nodded once, And they both disappeared.

They appeared in their bedroom, and Kushina looked around alarmed "M-Minato... Why? You have to help the villa- "
"Shhh, just be with Naruto..." Her husband laid her on the bed as he spoke. She quickly relented and pulled her daughter close.
Kushina shed some tears as she was finally able to hold her daughter. She looked at her husband, who had a dangerous look in his eyes. "Minato... Thank you... Good luck."
She watched as her husband threw on his Hokage Haori. "I'll be right back..."
He was gone before She could even blink. Kushina looked at her daughter, pulling her close before closing her eyes.

After his fight with the Masked man, Minato went home and fetched his wife and daughter, teleporting them to the Nine-tails. Kushina instantly restrained the biju, hacking up blood from strain. "Minato... I'll take the Nine-Tails with me to my death... Gives you some time before it reforms again... Thank you for everything Minato."
Minato's sad gaze suddenly became determined. He had an idea. "Kushina... Your an Uzumaki, you can still survive this, our daughter needs her mother. I'll use an eight trigrams seal... With the Shiki fuujin, I can take the Nine-Tails with me."
Kushina whipped her head at him. "But... That jutsu results in the casters death!"
"I'm aware, I'll seal the nine-tails permanently! But that will result in an imbalance of power between the villages, so i will seal half within myself... and the other half... I AM GOING TO SEAL INSIDE NARUTO!"
His wife stared at him in horror, but he held up his hand. "I know what your going to say... But remember what Master Jiraiya said... He said that a great calamity will befall this world, and that a child of prophecy will stop it... I have been convinced of two things today... The masked man is that great calamity... And that Naruto, Our daughter... shall be the one to stop him... I'm not sure how but i am confident."
Without waiting for her response Minato Put their daughter down, and started going through hand signs, <Snake - Boar - Ram - Hare - Dog - Rat - Bir- A hand grabbed his, preventing the rest of the hand signs.
Minato looked up, and saw the Third hokage, looking at him with a kind smile. "Do not be so eager to let your Will of fire be snuffed too early. You have a daughter... Minato."
The blond looked up at the old man with fierce eyes "Lord Third... I need to finish this jutsu, it is the only solution... And Kushina is tiring, I need her to survive for Naruto."
The third Looked at the Nine-Tails and then back at the small family, with a glint of will power in his eyes that matched Minato's own "Minato... i Know the jutsu as well, i am an old man now, and it is my duty to protect the younger generation... For that, i shall happily sacrifice myself."
Minato was stunned, and incredibly grateful, but he quickly found an issue with the old man's plan, he was a sensor after all. "But Lord Third, you don't have enough chakra after the fight earli-"
Minato was interrupted by Hiruzen holding out his hand. "Then lend me some chakra... Lord Fourth."
"B-But sir, we both primarily have yang chakra... an overabundance of yang chakra will kill you... You need yin to balance it..."
Hiruzen simply smiled and grabbed Minato's hand, Holding up the half ram seal. Surprised, Minato followed his lead. "The shiki fujin will kill me anyways..."
As the chakra sharing took place Hiruzen's nose bled but he kept standing. He raised his hands and put them in the proper seals, <Snake - Boar - Ram - Hare - Dog - Rat - Bird - Horse - Snake - SEAL!>.
Minato could not see anything, but he was aware that only the user and target could see The Shinigami. Hiruzen's gi ripped and a seal appeared, The kyuubi shrinking by half. Kushina didn't have to strain as much to hold it, but it was still taking a toll on her.
Minato quickly ran to his daughter and summoned an alter, trying to ignore the dirty look his wife shot him. He Looked towards Hiruzen who nodded that he was ready.
Unfortunately it seemed the Nine-Tails noticed as well and it raised a claw, intent on striking the child down. Thinking quickly Minato started doing hand signs, while kushina tightened its restraints. <Tiger - Hare - Boar - Dog>.
Minato slammed his hands hands against the ground and multiple mud walls shot up. He had used almost all of his remaining Chakra strengthening them. But he attempted to get in front of his daughter anyways.
Mid sprint, the first mud wall shattered, too tired to dodge, Minato felt his left leg get shredded by debris. A massive chunk of debris hit the side of his head, And the blond's consciousness left him.

Kushina was filled with relief when the remaining mud walls managed to stop the Nine-Tails claw, but it was quickly replaced with Fear.
She was forced to watch as her husband fell to the ground, leg practically obliterated, but that was not what scared her, Medical Ninjutsu could repair the really bad damage. What worried her was the pool of blood that was running out from his head, from the wound that was slick with blood, little fragments of skull showing.
Before she knew what she was doing, she ran to him, ignoring her body's protest. The redhead ripped off her husbands coat, rummaging through the pockets, before yanking out the empty sealing kit he always carried with him.
She furiously scribbled down an Uzumaki stasis seal, before checking his heartbeat, He was alive! And sealing him inside the scroll. A statis seal would freeze anything inside the moment it was sealed, no matter how much time passed it would stay in the same state. That meant he could survive until they found a proper medic.
She tucked the scroll into her waistband and turned towards her daughter, only to see the Nine-Tails gone and her child bawling in a dying Hiruzen's arms.
Kushina stumbled to them and took in the blood running down Hiruzen's nose, as well as them both having eight trigram seals on their stomachs. "Lord third! You're dying..."
Hiruzen held up his hand and a few ANBU appeared. "Kushina... I have no regrets... This village is my family... I am happy to die as it's pillar... Like Minato said... This child shall inherit Mine and the previous Hokage's will of fire... I can feel it..." He handed Naruto to Kushina and she held her daugher close.
Hiruzen turned to the ANBU. "Dog... Get Kushina to the medic camp... She has Minato sealed in a stasis scroll... He is alive, but barely..." Dog grasped onto her with shaking hands... Poor Kakashi... She bowed her head at the old Hokage. "Lord Third, i will never forget this... Thank you for letting Me and Minato raise our daughter."
Hiruzen's Eyes started drooping as he spoke his last words. "No need to thank me Kushina... It is the Job of the older generations to protect the KIngs, The younger generation..." The Third exhaled and his shoulders drooped.
The God of Shinobi was dead.
Kushina had loved The Third like a grandfather. But before she could properly mourn, her eyes started drooping, it seems chakra exhaustion had caught up with her.
She was swept away into unconsciousness.
