Chapter 5
Chapter 5: My Dream (Part 1)
After ensuring that Mizuki was safely handed over to the T&I (Torture & Interrogation) unit, Iruka returned home, relieved that Naruto was safe. Meanwhile, Sakura, having reported the incident to Fugaku, was on her way to return the Sacred Sealing Scroll to its rightful place.
"I'm glad Naruto is alright," Mikoto sighed, gazing fondly at the sleeping boy in Sakura’s arms. He reminded her so much of Kushina.
The Uchiha matriarch turned toward her husband, Fugaku, her aura suddenly thickening with intensity. Even the ANBU guards flanking Fugaku instinctively took a step back, sensing the shift.
"You, on the other hand..." Mikoto’s eyes glowed crimson as her Sharingan activated roaring like a lion: "COME HERE! HOW COULD YOU FALL FOR A JUTSU LIKE THAT—LIKE A VIRGIN GENIN?!"
Fugaku, now clearly in hot water for being defeated by Naruto's Harem no Jutsu, hesitated, sweat beading down his face. "No, Mikoto-chan! I swear, it’s not what it looked like!" he pleaded, trying to maintain his dignity while suppressing a gulp of fear.
"ARE YOU CHEATING ON ME?!" Mikoto’s voice cut through the air like a kunai.
"Sweetheart, let’s talk about this! I would never cheat on you!" Fugaku stammered, horrified that his wife would even consider such a thing. Desperately trying to diffuse the situation, he began backing away.
"COME BACK HERE, YOU COWARD, AND FACE ME!" Mikoto roared like a dragon, launching herself after Fugaku, who had now broken into a full sprint as she spat fire after him.
Sakura stifled a laugh and turned to Itachi, who was also struggling to hold back his amusement at his parents' antics.
"Sorry about this," Sakura said with a grin. "I’ll make sure Naruto uses that jutsu more carefully next time."
Itachi’s lips twitched as he tried to suppress a chuckle. Glancing at his mother—who was now throwing Fire Style jutsu at Fugaku, who skillfully dodged each attack—he muttered through small, shaking laughs, "It’s... alright. Honestly, it’s kind of nice seeing Father taken down a peg... Heh. I might be short one parent soon..." The ANBU groaned, realizing they might have to intervene before the Hokage accidentally got incinerated as they watched the eldest Uchiha son laugh loudly.
Later that night, Sakura walked home with Naruto still sound asleep in her arms. Once back home, she gently tucked him into her bed before collapsing beside him, emotionally exhausted from the eventful day. Soon, she drifted into a well-earned sleep.
However, her rest was short-lived. The warm rays of the morning sun and Naruto’s loud snoring woke her. As her green eyes fluttered open, she smiled, listening to his sleep-muttered words, “I’ll become the best ninja...”
Rubbing the sleep from her eyes, she headed downstairs to make breakfast. The savory aroma quickly filled the air, and soon enough, Naruto came bounding down the stairs, his usual energy in full force.
"Food! FOOD! Is that food I smell?!" he yelled excitedly.
Sakura chuckled as she plated his breakfast. As she set the plate down, she noticed her dark blue nail polish starting to chip; she'd need to reapply it soon.
"Naruto, promise me you’ll only use that jutsu on enemies from now on," she scolded him playfully. "Poor Fugaku really got into trouble with Mikoto..."
Naruto sheepishly rubbed the back of his head, wincing at the thought of Mikoto’s wrath. "Sorry, Onee-chan... Poor Uncle Fugaku-san... R.I.P," he said with a grin. They both burst into laughter at the thought of Mikoto still chasing down the Hokage.
After breakfast, Naruto was bouncing with excitement. "So today, you’ll finally teach me more ninja stuff, right?"
"Yes," Sakura replied with a smile, her expression softening as she grew serious. "But before that, there’s something important I need to tell you about your mom. The reason we gave you her last name… was to protect you."
Naruto’s eyes widened, his curiosity piqued. "My mom?" he asked softly.
"Yes," Sakura began, settling down beside him. "The Uzumaki clan was a powerful and prestigious family until the Third Great Ninja War. Even the Yin Seal on my forehead comes from their teachings." She gently pointed to the spiral-shaped, blue seal on her forehead—a symbol of both the Senju and Uzumaki bloodlines.
Naruto’s jaw dropped. "The Uzumaki... clan?" he repeated, his mind spinning with the implications of her words.
"Yes," Sakura continued. "The Uzumaki were known for their red hair, incredible chakra reserves, and remarkable lifespans. But what truly made them feared were their unparalleled sealing arts and their unique Kekkei Genkai, the Adamantine Sealing Chains. They once lived in Uzushiogakure, but as their power grew, other villages became wary. The combined forces of several nations destroyed their village while Konoha, their only ally, was distracted by Sunagakure’s aggression. The fall of Uzushiogakure was one of the catalysts for the Third Great Ninja War. Your mother, Kushina Uzumaki, was one of the few survivors. She came to Konoha because she was the last crown princess and one of the few remaining members of the Uzumaki royal bloodline. In fact, she was closely related to Mito Uzumaki, the wife of the First Hokage."
Naruto’s eyes were as wide as saucers. "Wait... does that mean I’m... a prince?!" he shouted in disbelief.
Sakura smiled and nodded. "Yes, Naruto. You’re the son of the last crown princess of Uzushiogakure."
Naruto beamed with pride as he touched his hair. "That’s so cool! I wish I had Mom’s red hair, though... but I do like Dad’s awesome blond locks I got."
Sakura laughed at the thought of Naruto with red hair. "Today, we’ll begin learning the basics of Fuinjutsu, and we’ll also practice your wind and water chakra control. Tomorrow is your team placement. Until then, I’ll make sure you have a bit of an arsenal."
"YAY, LET’S GO!" Naruto cheered, dashing toward their training ground. Sakura smiled fondly as she followed behind, murmuring to herself, "Kushina, Minato... Naruto is so much like both of you. I wish you could see him now."
At the training ground, Sakura turned to Naruto with a serious expression. "Alright, let’s start with something simple. Can you make some Shadow Clones for me?"
"Sure thing! Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Naruto exclaimed putting his hands into the cross shaped-hand seal. With a puff of smoke, a dozen clones appeared.
Sakura created the same number of clones herself and pointed at one of Naruto’s. "You, follow one of my clones." The two clones marched off together, disappearing into the distance.
A few minutes later, Naruto gasped as the memories and experiences from his clone returned to him. "Whoa! I can see what my clone saw and felt! That’s awesome!" he said, his eyes sparkling with excitement.
"Exactly," Sakura explained with a proud smile. "The Shadow Clone Jutsu is unique because it shares all the information and experiences your clones gather. This way, you can train much faster and learn more in less time."
Naruto’s eyes gleamed. "So I can learn Fuinjutsu even faster, right?!"
"That’s right," Sakura said, ruffling his hair affectionately. "Now, let’s get started. Today, you begin your journey toward mastering your clan’s legacy and becoming a capable shinobi."
Naruto’s heart swelled with pride. For the first time, he felt truly connected to the parents he had never known. And with Sakura by his side, he was determined to make them proud.
"Before I start seriously training you, I need to know—besides the basic academy jutsu, what else do you know?"
Naruto leaned back, grinning. "Shadow Clones, Sexy no Jutsu, Harem no Jutsu, and oh—I just learned it yesterday: The Great Five Elemental Storm!"
Sakura’s eyes widened. Had Naruto truly mastered Sarutobi’s legendary elemental jutsu? She knew, thanks to her sensory abilities, that Naruto had an affinity for wind and water, but for him to pull off that complex jutsu? The Great Five Elemental Storm required the user and their clones to harness each of the five elements, then unleash a rapid, devastating assault based on those elemental chakras. It was an incredibly chakra-intensive technique.
Naruto just grinned proudly, ready to impress his Onee-chan with what he had learned.
