Sensei

Chapter VII: Sensei

If Kakashi will be given a choice, child or not, he’ll never want Orochimaru near Konoha because the madman is equivalent to a ticking time bomb wherein anytime he could explode. Looking at the boy beside him, he could not help but to begrudge the 3rd Hokage. On the other hand, he was informed that none of the Sannin could remember anything beyond the age of 10. Apparently, Inoichi Yamanaka has been tasked to check on the three young version of Sannin’s memories and that was how they knew that anything beyond the age of 10 has been completely wiped out. Hence, the Hokage permitted Orochimaru to stay in the village again while he ordered a gag order to both civilians and high-ranking ninjas about Orochimaru’s crimes. Meanwhile, those ninjas who were informed about the entire problem about the faulty memory of the Three Legendary Sannin were given a task to tell the younger generation of the Hokage’s order.

Ever since he was orphaned, Orochimaru became painfully aware that Konoha did not like his clan and by extension, they call him names which is why he is not surprised that this man named Kakashi has been glaring at him. If looks could kill, the snake summoner did not doubt in the slightest that he’ll be dead.

“Huh?! No way! Look Sakura! Kakashi-sensei is early!” A boy wearing a bright orange jacket and pants shouted at the girl walking next to him.

“Be quiet, Dobe.” Exasperated, Sasuke scolded his teammate.

“Good morning, Kakashi-sensei and—” Sakura paled upon realizing the semblance of Orochimaru, one of the Legendary Sannin to the boy standing next to their teacher. However, she was not given a chance to ask who the boy is or what he is doing with their sensei since another jonin showed up in front of their teacher.

“Kakashi, the Hokage wants to speak to you and bring the boy too.” Asuma muttered. Staring at the Snake Sannin, he could not help but to shudder.

“Hey! You cannot just leave us here, Kakashi-sensei. Who is that anyway? Why does he look like—” Naruto was startled when Sakura covered his mouth.

“...” On the other hand, Sasuke narrowed his dark colored eyes as he stares at the other boy. Naruto was not wrong because the dark-haired child next to Kakashi is no doubt familiar.

“What about them?” Kakashi pointed at his adorable genin team. Closing the book that he has been reading, he waited for his fellow jonin to speak.

“Bring them with you. Also, the Hokage apparently found a jonin sensei for them.” Asuma did not need to be specific on who he speaks about since Kakashi is smart enough to understand him.

“Well, I guess I do not have much of a choice for this matter.” Kakashi would be lying if he’ll say that he is not intrigued on who the unlucky bastard was assigned to babysit the Three Legendary Sannin.

It only took a couple of minutes for the five of them to arrive at the Hokage tower. Upon entering the Hokage’s office, they saw two more children who are apparently younger than Naruto and his teammates. The pale boy next to Kakashi recognized the other children and his mood brightens up.

“Orochimaru-teme! Where were you?! Don’t you know of how worried Tsunade and I to you?” The white-haired boy shouted at the child next to Kakashi as he pointed rudely at him.

“Shut up, Jiraiya! You don’t have to shout at Maru!” Tsunade scolded her boisterous teammate as the said boy keep on shouting at Orochimaru. She protectively steps in front of the Snake summoner and gently holds his hand, squeezing it as if making sure that their friend is indeed here with them.

“It is alright, Hime. I am glad to see the two of you again.” Rare as it is, a genuine curve of his lips appeared on Orochimaru’s pretty face. Tsunade blushes upon realizing that his smile was directly for her.

“What the hell!?” Jiraiya’s mood soured once he saw Orochimaru smiling at Tsunade and in return the Princess’ cheeks turned a shade of pink.

“Calm down, Jiraiya. I did not call you here to argue with Orochimaru. As what I was saying a while ago before Kakashi arrived, you three will have a new jonin sensei. I want you to behave or I will know if you are to do anything foolish. As for your sensei, he’ll be here in a couple of minutes.” Hiruzen was glad that his team is complete, but he could not continue pampering them. Now, he must let them go to their new sensei with the hope that the three of them will remain together until the end.

As if on cue, another person entered the room. Upon getting a better view of the last person to join this meeting with the Hokage, Kakashi almost want to groan. The new jonin sensei has a brown hair and dark eyes which reflects nothing but determination to do better despite the almost impossible task given to him by the Sandaime Hokage.

“Good morning, Kakashi-senpai… Lord Hokage…” His already pale face turned a couple of shade paler once he saw the cause of his nightmares. Staring at the young version of Orochimaru, he could not help but to wonder if accepting this job makes any sense.

“Yo!” Kakashi was convinced for a second that Hiruzen Sarutobi has gone completely nuts for making Yamato as Orochimaru’s mentor.

”Now that everyone is here, I want to introduce Captain Yamato as your new jonin sensei. Also, I will be informed of your progress in the following days to come. As for Kakashi and his team, you’ll be helping Captain Yamato and his team. There will be joint training for the two teams. By the way, why don’t you introduce yourselves first?” Hiruzen eyed his precious students. Jiraiya as usual became too enthusiastic at the idea that he will train not just with one but two girls in the teams while Tsunade was unhappy with the idea of sharing her space with another team. On the other hand, Orochimaru squeezes his female teammate’s hand to calm her. As always, the simple gesture works like magic for it managed to make Tsunade calm and composed.
