Naruto sat beside Sasuke at the restaurant table, bouncing his knee nervously. He fiddled with the edge of the menu, glancing at the clock on the wall. “They’re a bit late,” he mumbled.

Sasuke glanced up from his menu, his dark eyes calm and unbothered. “It’s only been five minutes, Naruto.”

“Still,” Naruto muttered, leaning closer to Sasuke. “Why didn’t you warn me earlier about all this? You just casually drop on me that we’re having dinner with your brother and his super important partner? No big deal?”

Sasuke smirked slightly, reaching out to rest his hand on Naruto’s. “Naruto, you’ve faced life-or-death situations, but this makes you nervous?”

“That’s different!” Naruto groaned, running a hand through his hair. “Life-or-death I can handle. Meeting the most important people in your life? Not so much.”

“They’ll like you,” Sasuke said simply, squeezing Naruto’s hand.

Naruto gave Sasuke a lopsided smile. “You’re so confident about that, huh? Even after I made a fool of myself trying to set Itachi up on a blind date?”

Sasuke chuckled at the memory. “That was one of the funniest things I’ve ever witnessed. You really thought that would work?”

“I was trying to help!” Naruto said defensively, though his cheeks burned with embarrassment. “How was I supposed to know Itachi was already taken? He doesn’t exactly go around announcing it!”

Sasuke smirked. “The wedding ring wasn’t a big enough clue?”

Naruto groaned and buried his face in his hands. “Why do you keep bringing that up?”

“Because it’s hilarious,” Sasuke replied, his smirk widening.

Before Naruto could respond, a familiar voice interrupted their banter.

“Sorry we are late, deidara was having an important call, hopefully we wasnt too late??”

Sasuke motioned his head no as he told his brother it was fine and for him to sit,

Naruto looked up to see Itachi approaching their table with someone beside him. Naruto’s breath hitched at the sight of the person next to Itachi. Long, golden hair fell in silky waves to their shoulders, framing a strikingly beautiful face with sharp blue eyes that seemed to pierce through him.

“Deidara,” Sasuke said, standing and gesturing to the seat across from Naruto. “This is my fiancé, Naruto.”

Deidara gave Naruto a once-over, their sharp gaze lingering for a moment before they spoke. “I know. Itachi’s told me plenty about him.”

Naruto opened his mouth to greet them, but instead blurted out, “You’re… a guy?”

The silence that followed was deafening.

Deidara raised an eyebrow, their lips twitching into a thin, humorless smile. “Is that a problem?”

Sasuke winced, rubbing his temples. “Naruto—”

“No, no, it’s not a problem!” Naruto stammered, waving his hands frantically. “You’re just so… beautiful! I thought—uh, I mean—”

Deidara leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms and looking amused. “You thought I was a woman?”

Naruto groaned, his face turning red. “I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean anything by it. I’m just nervous, okay? Meeting you and Itachi was kind of a big deal, and I tend to say dumb things when I’m nervous.”

Deidara smirked at Naruto’s flustered apology, glancing at Itachi. “He’s reminds me of those red pandas ,” Deidara muttered, earning a small chuckle from Itachi.

“He too much of an idiot to actually be as smart as a red panda ,” Sasuke teased, his smirk widening.

Naruto glared at his fiancé, but before he could retort, the waiter arrived to take their orders. The momentary distraction helped ease the tension, and soon the conversation resumed.

As dinner progressed, Naruto found himself warming up to Deidara despite the rocky start. Deidara had a sharp wit and a dry sense of humor that reminded Naruto of Sasuke, but there was also a warmth beneath the sarcasm that made him feel oddly comfortable.

“So, you’re an artist?” Naruto asked, genuinely curious.

Deidara nodded, sipping their wine. “Yeah. I specialize in sculpture and mixed media. My work’s mostly abstract.”

Naruto tilted his head. “Abstract? Like, stuff that doesn’t look like anything specific?”

Deidara raised an eyebrow. “That’s a reductive way to put it, but yes. It’s about evoking emotion and interpretation rather than representing something literal.”

Naruto scratched his head. “Huh. I don’t really get it, but it sounds cool.”

Deidara smirked. “Art isn’t always meant to be ‘gotten.’ It’s about what it makes you feel. If you don’t feel anything, then I failed as an artist.”

Naruto thought about that for a moment before grinning. “Okay, I’ll have to check out your work sometime. Maybe it’ll blow my mind.”

Deidara chuckled softly. “I’ll hold you to that, yeah.”

Itachi watched the exchange with quiet amusement, occasionally exchanging knowing glances with Sasuke.

By the time dessert arrived, Naruto felt like he was finally finding his footing in the conversation. Deidara had even shared a few embarrassing stories about Sasuke from his teenage years, which Naruto eagerly stored away for later teasing.

“You mean Sasuke actually tried to dye his hair once?” Naruto asked, laughing so hard he had to wipe tears from his eyes.

“It was awful,” Deidara said, smirking. “He wanted to impress some girl in his class and thought dirty blonde would look good on him.”

“It was a phase,” Sasuke muttered, glaring at Deidara.

Naruto leaned against Sasuke, still laughing. “I can’t believe you, teme! Blonde, really?”

Sasuke groaned, but there was a faint smile on his lips as he watched Naruto and Deidara banter.

As they left the restaurant, the cold night air hit them, and Naruto shivered slightly. Deidara noticed and pulled a scarf from their bag, tossing it around Naruto’s neck without a word.

“Thanks,” Naruto said, surprised by the gesture.

Deidara shrugged. “Can’t have you catching a cold and being sick almost near your wedding day hm?..”

Naruto smiled, feeling a warmth that had nothing to do with the scarf.

By the time they parted ways, Naruto felt like he’d gained more than just the approval of Sasuke’s family. He’d gained a new bond, one that felt like it could grow into something deeper with time.

And as Sasuke slid his arm around Naruto’s shoulders on the walk home, Naruto felt lighter, knowing he was truly becoming part of the Uchiha family.

As Sasuke and Naruto stepped into their apartment, the chill from the night air followed them momentarily before Sasuke closed the door with a quiet click. The familiar warmth of their home wrapped around them, and Naruto let out a sigh of relief, shrugging off his jacket and tossing it onto the nearest chair.

“Well, that wasn’t so bad,” Naruto said, flopping onto the couch with an exaggerated groan. “I mean, aside from the part where I embarrassed myself—again.”

Sasuke smirked, slipping off his shoes and placing them neatly by the door. “You do have a talent for that.”

“Hey!” Naruto sat up, pouting. “At least I managed to make Deidara laugh by the end. That counts for something, right?”

“It does,” Sasuke admitted, walking over to sit beside Naruto. “You did fine. Better than I expected, honestly.”

Naruto raised an eyebrow. “Wait, what’s that supposed to mean? Were you expecting me to screw it up or something?”

Sasuke chuckled, leaning back against the couch. “With your track record? Yes.”

Naruto opened his mouth to retort but paused, noticing the slight upturn of Sasuke’s lips and the teasing glint in his eyes. “You’re such a jerk, you know that?” he said, though his tone lacked any real bite.

“You’re just figuring that out now?” Sasuke countered, shifting closer and resting an arm along the back of the couch behind Naruto.

Naruto rolled his eyes but leaned into Sasuke’s side, letting out a content sigh. “Well, at least Deidara doesn’t hate me anymore. I think I made a good impression in the end.”

“You did,” Sasuke murmured, his voice soft. “And I’m glad. It was important to me.”

Naruto turned his head to look at Sasuke, his expression gentle. “Why didn’t you tell me earlier how much Deidara means to you? I mean, I get it now, but… I would’ve tried harder to make a good impression if I’d known.”

Sasuke was quiet for a moment, his gaze fixed on the window where the city lights glimmered in the distance. “I didn’t want to overwhelm you,” he admitted finally. “I know how much pressure you already feel trying to fit into my life. I didn’t want to add to that.”

Naruto frowned, sitting up straighter. “Sasuke, you don’t have to protect me like that. I’m not scared of your family or the people in your life. If they’re important to you, then they’re important to me too. That’s how this works, right?”

Sasuke turned to face him, his expression unreadable. For a moment, he didn’t say anything, but then his hand reached up to cup Naruto’s cheek. “You’re right,” he said softly. “I should’ve trusted you with that from the start.”

Naruto smiled, placing his hand over Sasuke’s. “You can trust me with anything, teme. You know that.”

Sasuke leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to Naruto’s forehead. “I do.”

For a while, they sat in comfortable silence, the hum of the city outside their window the only sound. Naruto eventually shifted, resting his head against Sasuke’s shoulder.

“So… you think Deidara actually likes me now?” Naruto asked, his voice laced with a mix of hope and curiosity.

Sasuke smirked. “I think he tolerates you.”

“Hey!” Naruto punched Sasuke lightly in the arm, but he was grinning.

“Give it time,” Sasuke said, his tone turning serious. “Deidara’s… protective. It’s how he’s always been, and it’ll take more than one dinner to win him over completely. But you’re off to a good start.”

Naruto nodded, his determination evident. “I’ll make him like me. Just watch. I’ll have him singing my praises in no time.”

Sasuke chuckled, brushing a strand of blond hair out of Naruto’s face. “I don’t doubt it. You have a way of getting under people’s skin.”

Naruto smirked. “And you love me for it.”

“Unfortunately,” Sasuke teased, though the warmth in his voice betrayed his words.

Naruto sat up suddenly, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “Since I survived meeting Deidara, I think I deserve a reward.”

Sasuke raised an eyebrow. “A reward?”

“Yep,” Naruto said, leaning in closer. “How about we open that bottle of wine you’ve been saving and spend the rest of the night celebrating my victory?”

Sasuke considered it for a moment before nodding. “Fine. But you’re cleaning up after.”

“Deal!” Naruto exclaimed, jumping up from the couch and heading toward the kitchen.

As Sasuke watched him go, a rare smile graced his lips. Despite all the chaos and Naruto’s tendency to stumble his way through situations, Sasuke wouldn’t have it any other way.

Because at the end of the day, Naruto wasn’t just someone he loved—he was home.

The months leading up to the wedding had been a whirlwind of planning,

family meetings, and countless reassurances from Naruto that everything would go perfectly.

Sasuke had handled the details with his usual precision, ensuring the day would be nothing less than flawless.

Naruto, meanwhile, had been the heart of the operation, bringing energy, enthusiasm, and charm to every step of the process.

And now, finally, it was their wedding day.

The ceremony had taken place in the heart of a sprawling garden estate, with soft sunlight filtering through towering trees. Friends and family surrounded them, the atmosphere charged with love and anticipation.

Naruto had been a bundle of nerves, his laughter loud and his cheeks flushed as he stood beside Sasuke at the altar. Sasuke, ever calm and collected, had steadied him with a simple touch to his hand, grounding him.

When they exchanged vows, there wasn’t a dry eye in the audience. Naruto’s voice wavered as he spoke of their journey together, from rivals to best friends to lovers, and how Sasuke had changed his life for the better.

Sasuke’s words were quieter but no less powerful, promising to choose Naruto every day for the rest of their lives that not even death could do then apart..

Naruto cried upon hearing that..

By the time the reception began, the sun was setting, painting the sky in hues of gold and pink. The guests mingled at candlelit tables, the scent of fresh flowers and gourmet food filling the air. Laughter and clinking glasses echoed across the venue.

Naruto was making the rounds, chatting animatedly with friends and family, while Sasuke stayed close to their table, watching his husband with a subtle but unmistakable fondness.

As the evening wore on, Naruto found himself wandering to a quieter corner of the garden, away from the crowd. He took a deep breath, the cool night air soothing against his skin.

“Hopefully you’re not regretting this already ”

Naruto turned to see Deidara approaching, his long golden hair gleaming under the soft glow of fairy lights strung through the trees. He carried a glass of champagne, his tailored navy suit perfectly complementing his confident stride.

Naruto chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. “what? No way!..just needed a breather. It’s been a lot, you know?”

Deidara smirked, standing beside him and taking a sip of his drink. “You’ve handled it well, though. Gotta admit, you cleaned up better than I expected.”

“Gee, thanks,” Naruto said, rolling his eyes. “You’re a real charmer, huh?”

Deidara laughed softly, leaning against a nearby tree. “In all seriousness, though, congratulations. You and Sasuke deserve this.”

Naruto grinned, the sincerity in Deidara’s voice catching him off guard. “Thanks, Deidara. That means a lot coming from you.”

Deidara tilted his head, studying Naruto for a moment. “You’ve grown a lot, you know. When I first heard about you, I honestly thought you were too reckless, too loud—too much, really. I didn’t think you’d last.”

Naruto winced, though he could tell there was no malice in Deidara’s words. “Yeah, I got that vibe from you when we first met.”

Deidara shrugged, his expression softening. “I was protective. Sasuke’s like family to me, and I wasn’t about to let just anyone waltz into his life. But you proved me wrong.”

Naruto blinked, surprised. “Really?”

“Yeah,” Deidara admitted, his voice quieter now. “You showed me that you’re not just some loudmouthed idiot. You’ve got heart, and you’ve got this… way of breaking down walls, even ones as thick as Sasuke’s.”

Naruto chuckled, his gaze drifting to the reception where Sasuke was seated, sipping wine and engaging in conversation with Kakashi and Sakura.

Even from this distance, Naruto could see the subtle way Sasuke’s eyes flicked toward him, as if always keeping track of his presence.

“I guess I just love him too much to let him stay behind those walls,” Naruto said softly.

Deidara nodded, his expression thoughtful. “It’s rare to see someone so… stubbornly dedicated. It reminds me of when I started seeing Itachi. I had to fight to prove myself, too. But in the end, love doesn’t care about expectations or doubts. It’s about what you’re willing to do for each other.”

Naruto glanced at Deidara, his blue eyes full of curiosity. “Was it hard for you and Itachi? I mean, getting people to accept you two?”

Deidara’s gaze turned distant for a moment before he smiled faintly. “It wasn’t easy. Itachi’s family had high expectations, and I wasn’t exactly the perfect match in their eyes. But we didn’t care. We chose each other, over and over again. That’s what it comes down to—choosing each other, even when it’s hard.”

Naruto nodded, his respect for Deidara growing. “I get it. Sasuke and I have been through a lot, too. But I can’t imagine my life without him.”

Deidara’s smile widened slightly. “Then you’re doing just fine. Just don’t forget—family’s here for a reason. You’re part of it now, whether you like it or not.”

Naruto chuckled. “Even if I still screw up sometimes?”

Deidara smirked. “Especially then. Keeps things interesting.”

They fell into a companionable silence, the sounds of the reception fading into the background as they watched the stars begin to fill the sky.

After a moment, Naruto turned to Deidara, his voice more serious. “Hey, Deidara?”

“Yeah?”

“I always wanted to ask.. how did you break sasuke wall?”

Deidara glanced at him, his smile genuine. “Sasuke was a glass child.. i knew the look by heart.. itachi doesnt know that sasuke so jealous of him because itachi had everything he didnt,”

“..when itachi was given praise by their parents i was the only person who praised him for doing his best.. when i heard how you gave sasuke great feedback and positive vibes and energy when sasuke was in high school.. at some point i was so proud that someone out there isn’t just praising sasuke cause he itachi brother”

“..please take care of him.. i took care of him almost my whole life, he like a brother to me.. dont praise him for being an ignorant uchiha, just be there when he finally opens up his heart.. and praise him for trying to open up”

Deidara smiled softly before he had walked away from naruto before slightly bowing to the now freshly new wedded out of respect

Deidara left naruto to himself as he went back to his lover itachi

Naruto’s grin widened. “You can count on it.” Naruto spoke softly as deidara left

Naruto felt his body warm up as he felt the bond between itachi and deiara and himself is more noticeable and their bond a little stronger than before.

As the night wound down, Naruto and Sasuke finally returned home. The house was quiet and calm, a stark contrast to the lively celebration they had left behind.

Naruto kicked off his shoes, collapsing onto the couch with a contented sigh. Sasuke followed, sitting beside him and loosening his tie.

“Long day,” Sasuke murmured, leaning back against the cushions.

“Yeah,” Naruto agreed, turning to look at his husband with a soft smile. “But a perfect one.”

Sasuke smirked faintly, reaching for Naruto’s hand. “It was. And it’s just the beginning.”

Naruto intertwined their fingers, leaning his head on Sasuke’s shoulder. “Here’s to forever, huh?”

“Forever,” Sasuke replied, his voice steady and certain.

And as they sat there, wrapped in each other’s presence, the weight of the day melted away, leaving only the quiet promise of the life they would build together.

a contented sigh. Sasuke followed more gracefully, setting his jacket neatly on the back of a chair before sitting beside him. For a moment, they simply sat in silence, the weight of the day sinking in.

“That was perfect,” Naruto murmured, tilting his head back to rest on the couch. “Tiring, but perfect.”

Sasuke hummed in agreement, his dark eyes soft as they observed Naruto. “You managed not to ruin it. That’s impressive.”

Naruto smirked, too relaxed to take offense. “Guess I’m full of surprises.”

“You are,” Sasuke admitted, his tone carrying more warmth than teasing. He leaned closer, resting a hand on Naruto’s knee. “Today… it meant everything to me.”

Naruto turned his head, his smile softening as he met Sasuke’s gaze. “Yeah? Even though I stepped on your foot during our first dance?”

“Even then,” Sasuke replied, his lips twitching upward. “You make everything feel… real.”

Naruto’s heart swelled at the rare vulnerability in Sasuke’s voice. “..sasuke I’m so proud of you today.. you look so handsome.. you look genuinely happy”

Naruto smiled as he looked at his lover softly seeing sasuke becoming a bit embarrassed by naruto complement

“Shut up,” Sasuke muttered, but there was no heat behind his words. He leaned in, brushing his lips against Naruto’s in a soft, lingering kiss.

When they pulled apart, Naruto grinned. “I love you, Sasuke. Even when you’re a grumpy hard headed jerk.”

Sasuke sighed, resting his forehead against Naruto’s. “And I love you, even when you’re an idiot.”

They stayed like that for a while, the weight of the day melting away in the comfort of each other’s presence. Eventually, Naruto yawned, leaning heavily against Sasuke.

“We should head to bed,” Sasuke murmured, brushing his fingers through Naruto’s hair.

“Too comfy,” Naruto mumbled, already half-asleep.

Sasuke chuckled softly, shifting to lift Naruto into his arms. Naruto protested weakly but didn’t resist, wrapping his arms around Sasuke’s neck as he was carried to their bedroom.

As Sasuke laid him down and climbed in beside him, Naruto cracked one eye open. “Hey, Sasuke?”

“Hm?”

“Thanks for today. For… everything.”

Sasuke kissed Naruto’s forehead, his hand resting lightly on Naruto’s chest. “You don’t have to thank me, dobe. This is just the beginning.”

Naruto’s eyes fluttered shut, a contented smile on his lips. “The beginning of forever,” he murmured, his voice fading as sleep claimed him.

Sasuke stayed awake a little longer, watching the rise and fall of Naruto’s chest. His own heart felt full, his usually guarded emotions threatening to spill over.

With a final glance at his sleeping husband, Sasuke closed his eyes, letting himself drift off with the comforting thought that, for the first time in a long time, everything felt right.
