The strange night

"Long ago, Xadia was one land. Rich in magic and wonder. In the old times, there were only the six primal sources of magic. The sun, the moon, the stars, the earth, the sky and the ocean. But, a thousand years ago, before any of our princes were born, a human mage discovered new magic. The seventh source, dark magic" the mage let out a cry, his staff letting out the spell he cast. What an unfortunate day this was. "He used the essence of the magical creatures themselves, to unleash the dark power. Horrified, the elves and dragons decided. They drove every last human to the west, in need to stop this madness."

"East, the magical land of Xadia, and the west, the human kingdoms. Yet, those bore enough magic for the entire land, kept in two, weal shells, that yet have to find their way through life."

"For long centuries, the king of the dragons himself defended the border. Humans called him Thunder, as the earth and sky shook when he spoke. But, on the eve of last winters turn, the humans used unspeakable dark magic to kill Thunder, then, without mercy, they destroyed his egg and killed his young son. The dragon princes. Now the world stands on the edge of a war."

He knew he shouldn't, but he turned around and ran as fast as he could. He knew they would catch him, there was at least five of them, he had little to no chance of escaping, But he had to try, try not to die. Don't give up, don't give up, don't give up. Yet, he heard some rustling above him, and then a swipe of a blade. He aimed his weapon behind him, yet nobody was there. Then, someone kicked him. He didn't even register from where, but he was pushed off, falling to a mud puddle. The Moonshadow elf jumped right after him, attempting to defend himself, he raised his crossbow again, yet both that and his sword were immediately out of his hands as the, what he assumed was a girl, disarmed him. "Please" It was useless. Moonshadow elves were murderers, no amount of pleading would ever save him. The blades closed bit tighter, yet, when he asked who she was, she hesitated. The look in her eyes as she didn't move when he mover away from her. There was a moment she looked at him, before her gaze was averted and the guard quickly escaped back to Katolis.

He ran back inside the castle, rushing through the corridors of the palace and then, pounding on a set of door. ,,High mage, please, it's urgent" his voice shook with unprocessed shock, trying to catch his breath. He ran all the way from the forest, and as a knight, he should be able to handle it. And he was, but he was too shaken up to properly concentrate. Few more hits on the wood, before Lorn Viren finally opened the door. ,,I've seen something" The black haired man said
