Summary
Naruto Ficlets and Stores I've written that I don't want to post in their own stories. Tags will be undated when more is added.

Hinata can hear the birds. Birds.

She hasn't heard birds in... So long. It's refreshing and terrifying. She's terrified. Of everything. And so so excited.

"Hinata-hime, time to wake up."

Hinata took another breath, feeling the life in the air as she breaths out before finally opening her eyes to see her new old world.

--------

Ino has been awake for 3 hours.

She's seen her parents, watched the squirrels outside her window for a lot longer then she should have, and eaten breakfast at a normal hour. It's been so long since they had to do normal things at certain times, like a schedule, with breakfast in the morning and such, with other similar social norms to follow. She's doing her best, trying to treat it like normal wasn't working for her, even if it's only been three hours Ino doesn't think that she could ever act like the kid she was at this age.

She'll never be what she was ever again. She hasn't been that in a long time.

So she's thinking of treating it like a mission. Where she has to blend in with the kids her age and convince the director of the T&I department that she's his daughter and that absolutely nothing has changed other than a preteen going through puberty. And that would be easy for her any other time, but this time she is his daughter, and she isn't the same age as those around her. And she will have to go through puberty again.

Kami she is not looking forward to that part of this mission. And it is a mission, she's decided. She's gonna have to meet with her kage and debrief later. For now she has to gather Intel, that's the first step of any mission. Retcon.

She needs to remember who her allies are and who her enemies are.

They have a big group for a normal mission but a small group in reality. She's clearly in the academy right now, so her first state of business is socially befriending her other Allies in her class so it's normal for her to be seen with them in the future. That means the other "Rookie 9" to start. If it's okay with the other's then she could "run into" Tenten when she's looking for new weapons for her to be a better ninja. She may have to spin it as a way to "get Sasuke-kun to look at her". She might talk to Sasuke about making it known that only great ninja that take being a ninja seriously could ever date him. Or something, not that any other ninja will past the graduation exam. But that's a flaw in the system that they're not gonna be able to deal with until later. Until then they will train hard and get the others to as well.

She wants to start a journal but she knows that it wouldn't be practical to keep one. Even if it's coded, she, once again, lives with the director of the T&I department. A coded wouldn't matter, if someone wanted to crack it they would eventually. She knows, she's been in that position. It was her job to be that person, and it's not a risk she's willing to take, she'll add it onto the things to talk about at debrief.

A list that is getting longer.

______________

Sasuke doesn't know what to think. It was laughable how easy it was to lose the ANBU watching her. Naruto's little 'Goons' would have been better at trailing her.

Okay, in their defense, they didn't know she was gonna be difficult to tail today, since she was probably pretty easy to follow every other day. But it was easy for her to take the same way everyday. Routine is something she quite enjoys, truly. But it's still such a shame that the "elite" and "best of the best" are so lacking. What if someone had kidnapped her? What then? That's why they're there right? To watch and make sure nothing else comes alone to finish the Uchiha bloodline? Well they've done a piss pour job of that. That's for sure if anything is.

Of course Sasuke would like the record to know that she knows that protecting her isn't their job, as much as the Hokage may like to pretend otherwise. It's not her they care about. It's her eyes. Not even considering the fact that some, if not all, of the detail following her is Root. She heard that Kakashi would take time on his watch to. Which is nice, if you ignore that he was also root at one point.

Gosh Sasuke can't wait until she can became a ninja just to tell all these fucks to fuck off. She can't wait to get them all to realize that they can only find her because she lets them. She can't wait until her team can be together without anyone batting an eye.

Luckily that won't be long. They're all in their second to last year at the academy anyway, it's just a year and some months until they are all legally adutls in the eyes of law. Soldiers yes, tools yes, but adults. They may not have the rights of civilians, but they will have to be treated as adults. Technically of course. That's the laws, weather it will be followed is another matter entirely.

Sasuke is already thinking about where in the Uchiha district will they set up base. It's all technically 'his', so if 'he' wants to bring 'his' new friends over and find a house to use as a 'hideout', or whatever children call them, then what is the council going to do about it? It's 'his' land. 'His' clan. She can and will do what she wants with her own land. She can and will have her team over. She will fix or destroy as she feels. She may do as she wants and they can't do a thing about it. What's some extra D-rants anyway? They can just pretand they're preparing to be ninja. They need to train their bodies and get use to working together again anyway. They are young again and that will have changed so much about them.

It's only then that Sasuke catches sight of herself in the reflection of the lake she finds herself stopped at. That she realizes one eye is a slightly different color then the other, and that neither eye is black.

One eye is almost black with barely any red showing through the black rings and designs in it, the other have such black rings over purple instead of black. She's glad, lookig at it, that the rings are so dark and so many as so close together that her eyes almost look black. For someone only glancing at her would think that any extra color, red or purple, would be just a trick of the light.

And she hasn't looked anyone in the eye yet in this world, hasn't even interacted with anyone. The ANBU wouldn't have noticed, hopefully, since she's been avoiding them since she left the compound. Her front hair is easy to lay down with water to cover her more purple eye, until she can meditate and tey to get her eyes normal. She knows that some people get stuck with open dojins and she doesn't want to be one.
