Telemachus and Antinous of Ithaca
By the time Antinous has returned to Telemachus with figs in hand. he was had just finished take a bath and was drying his hair, Telemachus only noticed him when the door closed. “Tio your back you were gone for 2 hours did you get my figs.” Antinous placed the figs on the same table as the flowers, he walked over Telemachus and draped his arms around Telemachus’s waist and pressed a kiss in his hair he smelled his hair, and that familiar vanilla.
“I missed you tele” Antinous whispered into his hair.
“ I missed you too, also when are we going on that date.” Antinous grabbed Telemachus hand and kissed it. “Around 6pm and remember we need to Go habe lunch with your parents in 30 minutes.” Telemachus eyes widened and quickly fumbled out of his grasp.
“Fuck I completely forgot about that I will be back in a sec I just need to get ready.” Antinous went to go sit on the bed knowing that they will end up being late. “Alright take as long as you need.”
Antinous was right they did end up being late. “Tio come on hurry we’re ready late enough.” Antinous chuckled. “And whose fault was that.” He gasped and gave him a light smack his arm. “I needed to find the right jewels.” Antinous did quicken his paste. He did not want to make him angry due to it being the day he was going to ask Telemachus to marry him and when Telemachus was angry he was scary and he didn’t want to deal with an angry Telemachus.
Once they finally made it to the dining hall they saw that Telemachus parents were there not just that they also saw king Menelaus and queen Helen. “Good thing that I spent so long choosing my clothes.” He whispered to Antinous. “Telemachus, my favourite one of my favourite relatives.” Odysseus looked irritated. “Hello my dear turns out Menelaus chose to turn up with out notifying anyone.” Telemachus dragged Antinous over to the table by his arm and took there seats, he really didn’t want to be near to Odysseus when he was mad.
He didn’t want to be near him even more when he was this mad he is even more scary when Telemachus when he is angry. It was even worse when someone did something he hated an example somebody coming to visit his family with out any sort of warning, exactly what Menelaus has done. Penelope was busy catching up with her cousin due to not having seen her in years. “Ah, you most be Antinous I see Telemachus has seen someone to spead the rest of his life with his life with.” Antinous spoke with a kind tone. “Yes I am Antinous and you must be Menelaus I have heard many great things about you from Telemachus.”
“Well when are you and Telemachus going to court, it must be soon if you’ve been dating as long as you two have.” Odysseus glared at him as a sign not to continue with what he was going to say. Menelaus shot him a confused glance his eyes winded as realised why. “Anyway.” Odysseus changed the topic.
“Me and Diomedes were wondering when you and Telemachus are going on that date.” Telemachus who was speaking to his mother and aunt looked up at the mention of his name. “We plan on going at 5.” Telemachus said to his dad with a smile besides his dad only coming back a year ago they were already so close, it was if he had been there his whole life.
“That’s if you’re able to get ready in time.”
“Hey, I will ready in time.” Antinous chuckled a bit.
“Like how you were ready in time this morning.” He gasped dramatically. “I guess you want to sleep on the floor to night.” Antinous put his arm on the leaned on it. “Then your bed will be all cold, and we both know how much you hate that and how much you love, what did you call it.” Antinous could not stop smirking. “Your personal body heater and that’s why you always cling on to me every night.” Telemachus became red and covered his face. “Ok you win.”
When to food was brought out Telemachus was still red. He only stopped when lunch was over. “If you would excuse us we have a date to prepare for.” Antinous said as him and Telemachus started to leave. “Telemachus before you go try not to be late like always.” Diomedes said teasing him but he can’t help it he loves this boy so much. “Dad don’t worry I won’t be.” They said there goodbyes and left to get ready.
They spent hours getting ready, and Antinous made sure he has the ring on him it was a beautiful golden ring with an Azurite crystal to represent Athena. Since that was his boyfriends goddess. He slipped it into his pocket and went to go wait for Telemachus outside of the palace. Surprisingly he wasn’t waiting for long and once he saw Telemachus his heartbeat stopped.
He looked gorgeous no not even that he was blessed by Aphrodite he couldn’t even form words.
He was stuck in a trance he only started to pay attention again after Telemachus kept on calling his name. “Tio are you all right.” He stuttered a bit still so interested in how he looked. “Y-yea sorry you just look so beautifu.” Telemachus started to blush a little.
“L-let’s just get going, come on.” He grabbed Antinous hand and Antinous started to walk him over to the beach.
But little did they know two Gods were spying on them. “Hermes they’re going to the beach come on.” Athena whispered. “Alright im coming thena.”
“Hermes quick behind this rock so they can’t see us.” Hermes hid behind the rock with Athena.
“Telemachus can I ask you a question.” He looked up at him confused. “Of course anything.” He takes a deep breath and started to speak. “Telemachus I love you so much you have always been there for me even since we were only children, I don’t know what I would do with out you no matter what everything I ever did wrong you still stood by me you even became my boyfriend so let me ask you.” Antinous started to go down on one knee and pulled out a ring. “Telemachus of Ithaca would you marry me” Telemachus started to cry “Antinous of course I would I love you and nothing will ever change that.” Antinous cheeks became damp with tears as he placed the ring on his fiancés finger.
Hermes was griping onto Athena as he cried. “It’s so beautiful.” Athena burst out in to tears. “I saw this child grow up.” She said hiccuping at every word. “Know he’s getting married.” Hermes still crying rubbed her back. “I know right my great-great grandson is getting married.”
Antinous and Telemachus hugged each other no longer crying just sniffing but Telemachus froze for a minute. “Antinous do you hear crying.” Antinous listened closely. “Now that you mentioned it yea.” Telemachus looked around trying to find the source but stopped looking at a certain rock. “I think it’s coming from over there.” They held hands as they went over to the rock and saw. “ HERMES, ATHENA WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE.” They kept on cry and Athena said. “MY WARRIOR OF THE MIND IS GETTING MARRIED.” She said still crying. “Telemachus my great-great grandson YOUR GETTING MARRIED.” Hermes stated as he started to cry even harder. “Why can’t there be a single normal day.” Telemachus said as he pinched the tip of his nose. “Come let’s go home im sure you’re tired as I am.” They left and Hermes and Athena was still crying they only stopped when Zeus had to come down to take them home.
