Part 1❤️
Third Person Pov:
Naruto Uzumaki paces back and forth along his offices overlooking the city of Konoha. A terrible headache is forming and all he wants to do is run back to Hinata and stay with her.
Irritated, he runs his and through his blond spikes and sighs.
He's nineteen. Yet all he's doing is making tough decisions.
Lord. That was the legacy and responsibility his great father, Minato Namikaze has left for him.
As much as he loves his dad, that is a huge role to fill in for and what about Hinata? How will she feel?
Naruto know mostly how he feels. All his life he's wanted a leadership role like this, always felt it was his destiny. But the reality is starting to catch up and slap him in the face.
Is he ready?
Is he the right person?
Is he cut out for it?
Will he mess it up big time?
"Naruto, stop pacing. Your going to wear a hole in the building if you keep that up." Naruto's god father, Jiraya, calls out from the couch.
"Haha Jiraya." Naruto resumes his pacing double time and reverts back to thinking about Hinata.
Jiraya had just briefed him on the dangers, the expectations and other stuff that required when being a Lord. Having a side affair was not included.
Naruto sighs for what feels like the one hundredth time.
He's not sure if he loves Hinata. There are moments where he knows she's the one but other times he doesn't feel competent or worthy of my love he could give to her.
"Do you think I would make a good husband, Jiraya?" Naruto stops his pacing to stare searchingly at his godfather.
Jiraya is snacking voraciously and reading one of his 'books'.
Naruto scrunches up his nose and tosses a telepad at the pervy sage.
Jiraya looks up from his book and frowns.
"Stop reading that in my house pevy sage. It's morally disgusting y'know." Naruto wrinkles his nose at the book and its contents.
Jiraya lifts an eyebrow at his godson in amusement. He's proud of how far his godson has come since his early days of verbal abuse from fellow classmates and the district citizens.
"I may have wrote the books but this isn't my copy. I picked it up from your table. Humour me, but hasn't the Huyga girl been visiting your apartment for a while now?" Jiraya smirks victoriously at his godson as he goes beet red and loses the ability to talk in complete sentences.
"That's irrelevant y'know!" Naruto eventually shrieks.
"Right." Jiraya deadpans and takes a sip of lemon water. "You tell yourself that. By the way what's your favourite position?" The pervy sage smirks.
"Aggghhh! Your impossible y'know. If your not gonna be helpful go." Naruto points to the exit pods aggressively, his blush has only gotten bigger.
"Alright alright kid. Calm down." Jiraya sips his drink once more before settling back down comfortably. "If you want my advice ask now but I won't give you all the happily ever junk the books talk about. I will give you cold, hard facts that will hurt, but will be apart of you life from now on." Jiraya has switched to his serious mode and anyone who's ever seen that often dies.
To pull that face on a sixteen year old who also happens to be his godson means that what he's saying is serious.
Naruto's face falls slightly. He knows it's bad news too. Naruto gulps in a breath and sits down next to his godfather.
"What should I do about Hinata. I...I think I love her. But what if I don't? Wht if it's just harder on the both of us? What can I do about her?" Naruto asks dead serious. Somehow he knows the answer will break his heart.
Jiraya softens once and pats Naruto in the shoulder. "You should give her up. Tell her to go home and live the rest of her life without you. It will hurt. You will always look back and think 'what if'. But this is the only solution I can give you until your ready to commit."
Yep, broken hearted. That's how Naruto feels. It's not even him who's getting rejected, the one who's calling it off.
Naruto slumps forward and puts his hands in his face to hide his tears.
"I'm sorry Naruto. But you know what happened to your mother and father. It's safer like this." Jiraya doesn't try to be placating, only factual. Even if he crushed his own spirits at seeing his godson's tears.
"I'm sorry."

Hinata wakes up feeling sore but happy. She loves being with Naruto. He's always so sweet and kind and funny and he makes her heart beat with joy whenever he's around her.
Hinata kicks the blankets away from her naked body and strolls to the bathroom to clean up.
In the mirror her face is flushed and her lips swollen. It might just be her, but her hair looks shinier and she feels much more comfortable in her body.
The body Naruto spent every inch kissing. Blushing she throws some water in her face and ties her hair back before grabbing out Naruto's toothbrush and cleaning her teeth.
She'd insisted on bringing her own but he'd always reject that and tells her to use his.
She spits and rinses before attempting to finger comb her out of control hair. She gives up when she reaches her first tangle and heads into Naruto's bedroom to find her clothing.
And boy is that a mission. Her jeans and socks are easy enough to find but everything else? It takes a good ten minutes to find every item of clothing.
The hardest being her bra which she finds dangling on the clock. She doesn't even want to know how that happened.
With everything assembled more or less, she starts to the kitchen where she can make pancakes for the both of them.
She treads carefully, still shy in his over the top, expensive house. She should be used to luxury such as this, she is a Huyga after all, but being here feels so much different.
Naruto is arguing with a man when she walks in. Now she's glad she chose to wore her own clothes.
"Good morning." She bows to each man. They look suprised at her entrance and slightly guilty. Well, Naruto does.
The other man looks at her in sympathy.
"Hi Hinata." Naruto gulps and wipes a bead of sweat from his forehead.
"Good afternoon Ms Hinata." The second man greets.
Hinata blushes slightly and gives him an embarrassed smile but quickly her smile fades.
There's something tangible in the air. Something she doesn't like the feel of.
"Is everything okay?" She asks worriedly. Naruto hasn't come near her yet which is odd for him. No matter who was in company he also came and gave her a morning, or now afternoon, kiss.
Naruto sighs and looks at the man. The man nods and waves goodbye to Hinata and Naruto.
"Be gentle." He whispers to Naruto and Hinata just picks up on the exchange.
When the man finally ascends the exit pod and the light switches to blue signifying it as empty does Naruto stand and walk to her.
She doesn't reach out for him and he doesn't reach out for her. The feeling of wrongness is awakened tenfold.
Naruto really doesn't want to do this. His heart aches, his head hurts and the guilt is pressing on him. Angrily he steels himself.
It's what needs to be done.
"What's going on Naruto?" Hinata breaks their silent stare down and it just breaks Naruto more.
He closes his eyes and hammers in the last plate of steel.
"I don't want you here Hinata. I want you to leave." His voice feels strange and distorted. Like it's someone else controlling his body to say this.
"What?" Her face slackens and she looks broken at his emotionless words.
"Did you really think we would work? You are just a weak stuttering girl with nothing outstanding about you. No special talent. No distinct beauty. Nothing. I want you gone and never to cross my eyesight again." Everything in that sentence is a complete and utter lie. "Do you understand or do I need to spell it out?" He sneers when she doesn't move. "I hate you."
Her face crumples as he stares down emotionless and uncaring.
Why is he doing this to me? She thinks to herself. Why is he doing this to us?
But he's already given his reasoning. He doesn't care. She was just another body to use, claim and throw away.
Hinata stands up straighter and wrings out her hands to give her more confidence. She will not succumb to tears in front of this man. The man she thought she loved.
Never again. She swears to herself.
"I understand. Thank you for the time we had. Goodbye Naruto." She almay be pissed as hell and broken hearted but she isn't spiteful or stupid.
She turns her back in him and walks to the exit pods, locking every memory of them away. Something she will never regret but always loathe.
Hoping to maintain any shred of dignity she might have, she doesn't look back at the man she once thought she could've had a future with, children and a decent, loved filled life with.
Goodbye Naruto-kun.
With that last thought she seals the exit pods doors and inputs her address. She doesn't cry the whole way back.
Once she lands in the outboard receiver she storms into the Huyga Estate and heads right for her bedroom. Neji and Hanabi almost stop her and question why she is so pissed but the second they see her expression they back off.
In her room she plunks down on her mattress with a sharp exhale and closes her eyes.
She wiggles trying to get comfortable but everything just makes her think of Naruto.
Keeping her eyes closed she toes off her shoes and rips off every shred of clothing before marching into her bathroom and seating herself in the bath.
The automated controls immediately start up and send down heaps of hot water for her to relax in. When the water is up to her neck, the bubbles are pumped in along with a refreshing scent.
The lights dim and Hinata can finally face her reality.
With a deep breathe in she dips her head below the water.

Naruto sits in a mess of shattered glass. The bottle in his hand is near empty and the tunes he put on in the background are starting to annoy him.
She took it so fucking well. He hates that he let her go like that. He knows she will never reach out for him. Maybe even hate him. Anything that keeps her safe.
But the way she thanked him? That set him over the edge. That she was so kind like he should've known she'd be.
He stills his whole body and pictures her face again and again. Torturing himself over and over.
Without word he pitches the bottle at the window but the flexiglass stops the bottle from going through and hitting pedestrians passing below his complex.
The bottle is reflected and smashes near his feet. Sullenly he glares at the offending shards before picking himself up and sending down a microbot to clean the mess up.
"All things considered I think your taking this pretty well." Naruto's godmother, Tsunade comments.
He closes his eyes wishing he was dreaming before opening them again and checking if she's still there.
"Dam. No luck." He mutters.
Tsunade pushed off the wall and brings him in for a surprising hug. "I'm sorry Naruto." He freezes in suprise before returning her hug. Tsunade pulls away and smiles at her godson before yelling her head off. "Pull yourself together! You have a bright future ahead of you and you chose her safety over your selfish desires so pick yourself up and stop crying! I didn't raise you like this and I'm sure Kuishina didn't either. Quit moping and get back to reality. There will be other girls. Other loves. More heartbreak. More chances. But not if you don't move on! So heed my words boy, don't focus on your hurt, focus on your district's hurt and try to improve it. You'll feel much better."
Naruto gives her a grim smile. "Yes granny Tsunade."
She thwacks his arm lightly. "In not old and I'm you godmother not your granny so you stop with the sass." She walks further into the abused apartment clucking at something every few feet. "Did you have to throw the beer?"
