The Tragedy of Darth Plagueis
1963 Earth
Location: Britannia
Victor!" A young Charles zi Britannia called out, almost on the verge of anguish. He was a boy of 8, with shoulder-length sandy brown hair and violet eyes. The boy was small and a little scrawny, as expected of his age. He wore exquisite clothing of red and white. Dressed as one of the heirs to the throne of Britannia… but that was the least of the boy's cares. Life as a Britannian Prince was not what one would expect it would be.
"Victor, please, where are you?!" Charles called out desperately to his twin brother as he wandered through the forest, not far from their Villa. He worried that Victor had gotten lost… or worse. No… he could think of that. "Victor please say something-"
But just then the young boy tripped and fell on his face struggling to hide back his tears knowing his own mother wouldn't want him to cry.
It had not been long since their mother's death. Charles could still remember the grisly scene of his mother's death playing in front of him and Victor. He shut his eyes harder at that. The woman who truly loved him and brother so much was gone. Practically the only family they could ever trust or rely on.
But now she was gone no matter how hard he ignored Charles couldn't shake the memory of their mother dying at the hands of their father who always loathed peace.
The young boy picked himself until he bumped into someone as the person gasped.
"Oh my heavens! Are you okay boy?" It looked to be a man in his early 30's at least. He had fair features of red hair and calm blue eyes that were fixed on Charles. He wore a dark cloak with a hood, as he had blond hair and blue eyes he looked down at the boy, and simply smiled.
"I said, "Are you okay?" I hope I didn't hurt you too much." He asked, before stretching out his hand. "Do you need help?"
Charles almost gawked at the fact a complete stranger was lending him a hand…less so one within the territory of the royal family. Who was this man? What on earth was he doing here? Could it be…he was…
"I… I… I was only looking for my brother," Charles said, explaining the situation to the man..
"You mean the other boy…" The blond haired man said knowing who Charles was talking about "I see you must be his little brother, he's a kid around your age with blond hair right?"
Charles nodded at the man who then said as they saw Victor chatting with someone who appears to have his face covered by his hood "He's with my master Hego."
"Hego?"
"My master. No need to worry, he is a wise and gentle man. Your brother is with him now. I can take you to them."
Charles continued staring at the man with grave uncertainty. "Wh… Wh…what do you want?"
"What could I want from you?" Palpatine asked, innocently.
"Do you know who I am? Who my brother is?"
"Perhaps, but I am more concerned about a boy lost in the woods. I have no intention of harming you. My master and I have never been to this place. Our starship was shot down by some pirates who wanted to raid our ship for credits. We jumped to lightspeed and crashed and landed on your planet. So in a nutshell, I guess you can say we are lost as well. So why not help each other?" He extended his hand once more.
"My name's Sheev. Sheev Palpatine and you are?" It was at that moment two different with two different lives crossed together as Charles then said with a small smile.
"My name is Charles. Charles Vi Britanaina it's a pleasure to meet you."
The two then went over to this Hego as he said "Ah Sheev nice of you to finally join us." Sheev nodded as his master then saw Charles "And I'm guessing this is the younger brother, correct Victor?"
Victor nodded "Indeed Hego." Hego didn't find him very impressed when he found Victor and then said "Well it wouldn't hurt to have another join us."
Sheev followed his master as they arrived at what seemed to be a temple that looked like it was in ruins.
"Whoa never seen a temple like this one before." Charles said, amazed, Hego then looked at the boy.
"Don't sound surprised child, it would seem our arrival to this planet was no mere coincidence but perhaps it was the will of the force that guided us to this planet to begin with."
Hego went over to a sealed up door and used the force to open the door as Charles and Victor were amazed by that.
As Hego took the lead as Victor then tugged Sheev's cloak as he said "Yes?"
"What was that power back there the one your master just did, he just revealed a secret switch to activate the door like it was nothing." Charles agreed with his brother as Sheev then said.
"Well the force is what gives the user their powers. it binds us together; it's an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us. Penetrates our bodies. It binds our own galaxy together. There are many people who have these gifts like me and my master Included."
"Then who are they?" Asked Charles as Sheev then answered the question.
"Well they are known as Jedi, the so-called guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy but yet they're blinded by their achievements and in their dreams a very pathetic dream."
Victor then said "You sound like you hate them, have you ever met one before?"
Sheev was taken back by that as he rubbed his chin thinking about it.
"Sheev, Acolytes!" His thoughts were caught by the voice of his master who had his hands behind his back as they saw a massive field of lifeless statues with what seemed to be silver cylinders near their decaying bodies.
Victor and Charles went over to some of the cylinders and grabbed them, turning on a switch on them as they ignited yellow and blue blades.
The two brothers gasped in total shock before turning them off as Charles exclaimed "What the heck was that?!"
Hego went over to the boys saying as he gave the weapons to them. "The weapons you are holding are known to the Galaxy as Lightsabers not as flimsy as a blaster, it's a very elegant weapon for a more civilised age of Sith Lords."
Victor and Charles were amazed to hear that as Sheev then noticed something within the walls almost unnerving "Master I can also feel something inside this temple as if it was more than some temple for the Jedi. I think they also had workers here but I don't know."
Hego then said "That is no doubt the Cortosis hidden within the temple walls even where you stand my pupil the ability they grant to the users lets them negate lightsaber function."
Charles and Victor's eyes widened on how a mineral of this design can do that with ease Hego then goes over to an empty and points.
"Now, it is time for your next lesson. Originally it would be on the planet Malachor, which my master taught me and his master before him but now the location of the lesson must change for the time being since we are now stranded on this planet for the time being."
Sheev nodded, being sure to stay true to the teachings of the dark side by his master "Yes master by the will and grace of your training I will not be turned to the light."
Hego then turned his gaze to the young princes "And that will test your minds as well young princes to educate you on how the world works inside and out to prove your might against your future enemies."
The apprentice along with Charles and Victor enter the room as the room had a strange mirror as if showing a different style of their clothes wearing robes that of a Jedi.
"NO! This cannot be what I was meant to see!" Sheev gasped in horror to see he was wearing the robes of the Sith's mortal enemy even Charles and Victor wore the same robes as he did.
"Master Jedi please, you need to help us!" A little girl with black hair pleaded with tears in her eyes as the young princes gasped to see their uniforms had changed as well.
"CHARGE!" The three's eyes widened as they saw a massive horde of marauders charging at the village armed with basic weapons.
Sheev growled that he wasn't a Jedi; this must be the temple pulling a trick on him; he grabbed his lightsabers instead of a red blade; the blades were yellow.
"Charles Victor, come on we have to kill these bandits with no mercy!" Sheev said as the boys nodded as they grabbed the lightsabers from their belt as their respected blue blades shone as they charged into battle.
Sheev unleashed a yell of fury as some of the marauders stepped back as they held their weapons high as Sheev stabbed one of them three times as that one screamed and then slashed another one as they yelled in pain the apprentice then slashed the hands of the remaining two before force pushing them away.
Victor and Charles slashed their way through the marauders as they were slashing their weapons then slashing the maurders's torso as their bodies dropped to the ground dead as blood splats on their faces.
The three then find themselves in the village as the people cheered for Sheev and his two apprentices victory against the marauders.
"We cannot thank you enough master Jedi you and your apprentices for saving our village." Sheev gasped in total shock as the two boys were confused about what was happening.
"Please stay a while, won't you?" The Village chief smiled at Sheev as people began talking to the man as Sheev then said.
"No...No no! This is not WHO I'm meant to be, I'm NOT A JEDI!" The last words he screeched he began to force choke everyone in the room until they were dead minus the girl.
"No!" The girl cried in horror as she fell on her butt as Sidious returned to normal who cackled at her "But why?!" Sheev grins darkly.
"Because this is what the Jedi are little one, they are deceivers, a lie told to a fallen galaxy!" Sidious laughs as he kills the child with force lightning.
"Sheev?" The two boys questioned in worry as Sheev had a massive evil grin on his face.
"It's a lie I will destroy for I will wipe them out! All of them." Once that was done the three saw Jedi on one side armed with different colour lightsaber blades and on another side hooded people with a strange symbol on their forehead.
Sheev growls as he prepares himself as he enters a battle stance while Victor stands in front of Charles to protect him from the strange beings.
The ghost people then charge at Sheev as he begins blocking each of their attacks as he snarls at the Ghost Jedi as they all block his attacks and then the strange people with the strange then charged in attempting to take his life.
The young Sith was losing ground as one of the Jedi disarmed Palpatine and then kicked him down resulting in a nose bleed.
Victor gasps as he runs in front of Sheev and is dealt the blow as the blade pieces his heart. Charles gasped in horror to see that happen to his brother before screaming in horror as he picked up Sheev's lightsaber and slashed them down.
The Jedi and the other hooded people vanish as Sheev was ready to grieve for Victor until "Huh?!" Noticed the lightsaber wound had vanished as he saw the older prince open his eyes as he rubbed his head.
"Your wound vanished and you survived from being impaled by a lightsaber but how?!" Sheev was amazed knowing the boy didn't use any sort of force healing to patch the wound and his heart until Charles then said.
"It happened when our mother was still around when a man named U.U came to our kingdom seeking food & shelter. He said he came from a war and then granted us special abilities and then he left the next night."
Sheev then said "And what are your gifts this U.U person granted you?" Victor and Charles nodded as their left eyes showed the same symbol the hooded people had on their foreheads.
"My ability alters an individual's memories by making direct eye contact with them and I could totally alter a target's personality by rewriting their memories and even seal the power of another Geass user by suppressing their memory of ever possessing a Geass."
"Very interesting so Victor's Geass is immortality and yours can alter one's memories, amazing whoever this U.U is or was. I wish I could meet him and congratulate him for making the right choice granting you such amazing powers." The three exited the room to see Hego standing there with a smile.
Sheev bowed to his master while Victor and Charles nodded to Hego who smirks and then said "Young princes do the honours of escorting us to your palace that'll be enough training for now."
"Of course Hego!" Victor said as he took charge as the Sith lords followed behind them.
"Master those statues, I think they were all Jedi. I understand that they are our enemies but why were they trying to slaughter each other back in the temple?"
Hego then said explaining his theory to his pupil of what he had seen "Most likely some of the Jedi were displeased with the way their order worked on this planet and started some sort of rebellion resulted in a battle which no side could even win and which resulted in the death of many Jedi it's amazing we didn't even see one single Jedi during our time here and I wish to keep it that way!"
An hour of walking later the four arrived at Pendragon as some of the guards blocked Sheev and Hego from entering.
"Ah excuse me we're with the young princes!" Sheev almost annoyed the guard then said "We do not care about so leave outsiders unless you have identification on you."
Sheev growled as he was ready to slash them down but Hego then waved his hand over the guards "You do not need to see our identifications."
"We don't need to see their identification." Hego then continued speaking as he brought out a holoprojector and showed an image of most likely the ship that got them to earth before waving his hand over their faces again.
"You will send some of your soldiers to retrieve this damaged starship and then have your best mechanics repair it."
The guards nodded as they left the scene to rally the others to find the ship as Sheev and Hego entered with ease as Charles and Victor were amazed by that.
"How did you manage to convince the guards to let you in?" Charles was amazed at the thing the hooded man did.
"That was a mind trick. It works on very weak minded fools and I also ordered them to retrieve our ship and fix it as well."
As the siblings of Charles and Victor began mumbling under their breath as they looked at Sheev and his master.
The four then enter the throne room to see the likes of Mordred Zi Britannia who had a black hair with a beard and green eyes then said.
"Victor and Charles I was wondering where you ran off to and I saw you met some new friends." As he looked at Sheev and Hego who scoffed at the man who he thought was pathetic.
"Yes I am Sheev Palpertine my master and I are wonders from another land. Our ship crashed and we were stranded here until you met your son's Emperor." Sheev said, trying to hide emotions.
"I see then maybe you should stay for dinner and get to know you both better." Mordred came over to the young sith and placed a hand on his shoulder as the man nodded.
A while later Charles is in the kitchen preparing the food for his family as he frowned that he had to do by himself how he wished he could be by his brother's side by doing the food.
Sheev then entered the kitchen looking at Charles with a small smile "I don't suppose I can help you with preparation?"
Charles was amazed by his kindness as they began making the food as they began making the food before Sheev then said as he used the force to read his friends emotions.
"You want to kill them don't you? I can feel your anger and hate for that heartless man as well as your siblings. "
Charles was silent before nodding as he then said "I hate my father for what he did to my mother and the rest of my family continue thinking of killing each other to see who will succeed the throne."
Sheev then looks at the drinks as he had an idea "I think I have an idea on how we can kill your entire family and my master in one single blow!" As he smirked looking at the drinks.
"Wait, why do you want to kill Hego?" Charles asked as Sheev then said "His name is fake, his real name is Darth Plagueis and I see this as my only way of killing my master. This chance won't ever come again if I don't take my chances."
Sheev then looked at the boy holding out his hand "Charles will you and your brother help me achieve my goal while I help you achieve your revenge on your father and kill your family in one blow?"
Charles looked at the hand before shaking it "Of course you helped me and my brother Sheev, it's time that we return the favour!" "Good then I think it's dinner time!" Said Sheev with a smirk as they began their plan.
A while later Sheev and Charles brought out the food and drinks as the two took their seats as Sheev then said "If I may I wish to propose a toast to our brilliant meetings and departures of lost loved ones?"
Victor then whispered "Charles what are you planning?" Charles then whispered "It's alright Sheev and I have a plan to avenge mother so trust us." The sibling then nodded whatever plan it was it better work.
One by one Charles and Victor watched as their siblings began drinking their glasses as Darth Plaguis and Mordred drank last as one by one the poison in their drinks began to force all of the siblings into a deep sleep which the drink killed them in an instant.
Plaguis and Mordred then fell asleep last as the poison entered their body Sheev grins as he force pushes them off their seats as all of Charles and Victor's siblings who were now lifeless corpses.
Sheev then tosses his second lightsaber to Charles in case his father gets back up as Sheev begins to zap his master while laughing.
"And now master tonight is the night I surpass you!" Plagueis suddenly opened his eyes as if the poison left his body as he unleashed force lightning on the three as they were flung back as Mordred woke up to see his children had been killed.
"How dare you murder my children! And you used my son as your weapon. I knew you were a bad influence on my children the moment you stepped in."
Mordred shouted as he was talking about Charles and Victor as he unsheathed his beskad as Charles defended Sheev from his father's fury.
"Victor, take cover!" Sheev shouted as the blond haired prince nodded as he ran away from the fight knowing this was gonna get ugly.
Plaguis scoffed as he used his staff to block his pupils attacks as Sheev and his master engaged each other in battle before the master then slammed his foot into Sheev's stomach as the man grunts in pain as he fell to the floor as Plaguis ignited his lightsaber and got ready to kill his foe but however he dodged just in time.
Sheev sighed in relief to avoid the attack before going over to help Charles battle Mordred as their lightsabers clashed against their foes as they were putting pressure on him before they knocked Mordred down for the time being.
"You amuse me Sidious, you're more crafty when I first encountered you on Naboo to think you would be using the young prince's emotions for revenge against their father."
"What can I say to be a good Sith you need to be smart, crafty and plan it as you go along if you ever want to win!" Sidious remarked as he and Chalres battled Plagueis as they battled through the palace as they went down a hallway as the battle was intense and fierce.
Mordred began to wake up as he spies the Sith master's cane on the floor as he runs into hallway to see Charles kick Plagueis as the emperor was ready to impale the revenge driven prince Sheev grabbed his hand before he headbutts him as blood began fall from his nose.
Mordred snarled as he wiped away the blood from his nose as the four kept on battling as Charles leap frogged over his father and slashed his father's chest leaving a scorch mark on his outfit using his lightsaber.
Sidious growled as he unleashed force lightning at Plagueis but however he caught it as he smirked behind his mask "Hah! Predictable Sidious." Before throwing back at Sidious who winced in pain from the lightning as Plaguis retrieved his staff.
The intense battle took the battling enemies to the balcony of the palace as the scenery was raining.
Charles then slammed his elbow into Mordred's stomach and then kicked him back while Sidious was able to disarm his master as he and Charles nodded knowing it was time to end the reign of Emperor Mordred the 97th ruler as well as the reign of Darth Plagueis the apprentice of Darth Tenebrous.
TO COME TO AN END
Sidious and Charles yelled as the two charged at their opponents Charles was blocking every attack from his father until he managed to slash his father's left shoulder as the man yelled in pain.
Sidious was trying his best to slash Plagueis but the man was dodging every attack until he then force choked Sidious and slammed him into Charles.
"Now die!" Plagueis declared ready to end their lives now that he reclaimed his lightsaber but Charles and Sidious dodge as the Sith apprentice tried to summon his lightsabers but Mordred punched him in the face resulting in a small bruise on his face as Charles then grabbed Plaguesis's staff as he kicked him back before tossing to Sidious who nodded.
Sidious yelled as he then swung the staff into Plagueis as his blood appeared on the staff as the beaten up was too weak from the blood loss before using the force to retrieve his lightsaber.
Charles reclaims the lightsaber given to him and then slashes Mordred's shoulder as the man hisses in pain from the attack.
Sidious activates Plagueis's lightsaber as he flung both lightsabers straight into the old Munn's chest who yelled in pain before using a force pull to bring Mordred closer to the lightsaber that Plageuis was impaled by.
"NO!" Screamed Mordred he too was impaled by the two lightsabers before the lightsabers then turned off as the corpses then fell to the ground as both Sidious and Charles were completely exhausted as they collapsed to the ground.
"Are you good there?" Sidious weakly said with a smile to his friend who weakly nodded and then chuckled before they both began to laugh out of pure joy.
"We did it, we really won!" Charles exclaimed in joy as tears flowed through his eyes Sidious weakly got back to his feet and Charles to his feet.
"Yes we achieved our goals because we trusted in each other." Victor then said "So what happens now with most of our siblings dead and it's just the two of us left." As he referred to himself and to Charles "Who should rule over Britannia?"
Sidious then said to Victor "I think I know the answer is clear as day for it has a new ruler ready to bring order and security to the planet and is ready to lead them to a bright tomorrow .." Before kneeling to Charles knowing with his skills of Geass he could erase their memories and make it look like terrorists attack their home and killed his family.
7 years later 1970 (41 BBY)
"All hail Emperor Charles Zi Britannia! The 98th Emperor of the Holy Empire of Britannia!" A royal guard announced in the throne room. "Long may he reign!"
The cheers of Charles echoed throughout the throne room as the new emperor was now a young teenager around the age of 15 sat in the throne chair. He was much taller than before; He was dressed in primarily red and white clothing fit for an emperor with a purple cape hanging from the back.
In spite of becoming the new emperor his face showed little emotion.
Once the coronation was done Charles walked the ground of the place as he was heading to the Knightmare garage there he saw his friend Sheev Palpertine who looked a little bit older while having his hood over his face to conceal his identity as he looked at Charles with his green eyes.
"Ah Emperor Charles, I can assume your coordination went well." Charles chuckled saying "Yes it did and I have to thank you to thank for it Sheev after everything that happened in my life this achievement wouldn't be possible if not for you."
Sheev chuckled as he then said "Please don't give me too much credit for all your hard work Charles you and your brother did an amazing job after all."
Once they arrive at the garage they see the Scimitar fully repaired and the current Sith lord smiles that the ship was repaired. It took about seven years but the ship was now fully functional and ready to fly once more.
"Charles." Said man and Sheev looked to see Victor who still bore his appearance when he first saw Sheev and his master many years ago "Sheev." The man nodded.
"Ah Victor and here I thought you wouldn't be joining us for this special occasion." Sheev said to the boy.
"Why wouldn't I be? This is the day you return to your galaxy and finish the mission of the Sith and please don't use my name. I gave it up years ago."
Charles had an amused smile on his face "Oh we both know but the new of yours V.V sounds almost like the name of a machine." Sheev then points out with a smile of his own "Or a droid if you're from a galaxy far far away."
The three friends shared a laugh before Sheev then said as he walked past them "Well this is it…"
Charles and V.V then had smiles but in their hearts they were gonna miss having Sidious around the palace but however duty calls.
"We will miss you very much Sheev." Charles said struggling to his back emotions Sheev then said as he too was holding his emotions back.
"And I as well my friends may the dark side guide your way to victory!"
Sheev hugs the two boys before making his way to the Scimitar once onboard the ship he began pushing buttons to light the ship as the roof began opening up the ship then flew out of the hangar bay and into space.
Sheev shows one last smile at the planet below before putting his ship into light speed and returning back to a galaxy far far away.
Present day 2017
"My emperor? Emperor Charles, are you okay?" The voice of Bismarck called out to Charles who gasped as he and Dorathea were looking at him.
Charles then rubbed his eyes before saying to his knight of one "Apologies Sir Waldstein but I was just relieving something from my past that's all."
Pryde then said with a serious look "That'll be enough reliving the past Emperor for we have finally arrived at Coruscant."
And Pryde was correct as the Devastator had dropped out of hyperspace about an hour ago as it floated towards the planet filled with glittering lights.
Somewhere in the planet the now current Emperor of the Galactic Empire Palpatine was sitting in his throne room of the former Jedi temple helping himself to some tea from Earth before Mas Ameeda came in the room.
"My Emperor." Emperor Palpatine stopped having his drink before turning his attention to him. "Yes Grand Vizor?"
"Lord Vader has returned to Coruscant." The Sith lord then said to him. "Has he finally captured young Skywalker and brought him to me as he had promised?" Ameeda shook his head.
"No my lord however he has discovered something else on the planet from what he has reported he has made contact with a Britannian Empire led by a man calling himself Emperor Charles Vi Britannia who wishes to establish an alliance from his empire to ours ."
Palpatine then shows a toothy grin before saying. "Have my shuttle ready I wish to meet Lord and this Earth Emperor myself when they arrive." Ameeda nodded as he left the room.
