Gone by many names
It was hard to keep awake as you were losing blood as that was happening to Lelouch after being shot by Clovis as he was being carried by Luke out of Shinjuku to some Forrest as Luke appeared to be talking someone.
"Luke, you're okay!" A woman's voice which almost reminded him of his mother shouted in joy and another voice sounding male shouted. "You brought a stranger to the Falcon?!" Then Luke said.
"There's no time to explain Han we need to get him to the medical bay now he's bleeding out!" That's all he heard before Lelouch drifted back into unconsciousness.
A while later Lelouch groaned as he started to wake up as he placed a pal to his head, and somehow the environment around him felt different. The pain he felt at his side was getting better than it was before as it appeared his wound that was located on the side of his stomach was patched, and he felt he was lying flat on his back on something softer than the floor of Clovis' transport floor.
"Luke, he's coming around," The same woman's voice from before said. "Well, it's about darn time," A man's voice said.
"Oh, thank the maker! I am so relieved!" The voice sounded very strange. It sounded as though it came from a phone or some radio at school. Then came a roar. It's a strange roar Lelouch couldn't distinguish if it was a bear or...
Lelouch woke up to find himself looking at the ceiling bunk; he looked to see his shirt opened to reveal his bandaged side.
"Lelouch..." Lelouch turned to see that staring down at him was none other than Luke, who smiled at him. "Geez, you gave us all such a fright back there pal."
"Luke?" Lelouch sat up and started to notice the new environment around him. "Where am I? This...It's not..."
"Of course it's not Clovis's flagship," Lelouch looked to see a fair woman with brown eyes and dark brown hair braided in a style that was unknown to him. "Luke brought you here while telling us your name as well as everything else.."
"But where-" Lelouch said trying to speak until he heard another voice.
"It's my ship," Lelouch turned to see an older man with brown hair and brown eyes and had a cocky kind of attitude in his eyes that he could tell. "I would say it was a big risk to bring a complete stranger from this very odd planet here, but when we all saw how you started bleeding, I couldn't let it slide."
"Ship?" Lelouch widened his eyes trying to understand what's going on. "Wait a minute... a ship? Like at sea? In the air?" "Lelouch take it easy there..." Luke tried saying to him but however.
"How long was I out for?!" Lelouch said almost in a panic as he got up and stood. "Easy there, kid," Leia said. "You're still hurt."
Lelouch however didn't listen as he got off the bed he was resting until he saw a big furry creature who roared at him startling the exiled prince who yelped in shock.
Lelouch then bumps into something as he then sees a blue and white robot making a beeping noise
"What the-" Just then he sees someone standing next to the blue and white robot but this machine almost made Lelouch jaw almost hit the the floor as this robot was gold plated with a human like appearance and glowing yellow eyes "Hello there I C3PO human cyborg-"
Lelouch yelped in comical horror at the AI robot first there was some sort of furry creature then a talking robot until Luke said who grabbed Lelouch by the shoulders.
"Lelouch calm yourself!" Leia then said with a stern nod. "It's okay they are not going to hurt you I assure you.." Lelouch took deep breaths trying his very best to keep a cool head "Y-you sure?" Luke nodded as Lelouch sat back down on the bunk as Chewie then roared.
"Come on Chewie you know he gets it." Han said as Lelouch then looked at Han and said "Y-You can understand THAT thing!?" Han glares at Lelouch and said.
"Well sure I can and so can Luke as well as Leia and another thing is 'that thing' can understand you so watch it!"
Lelouch was still completely speechless on what the heck was happening in front of his very eyes this place which they claim to be is a ship and these people he can assume were the people Luke was talking to with his com-link.
"Okay this is a lot of process I'm gonna go out on a limb and says. "These are you people?" Lelouch said looking at Luke who nodded as Lelouch then asked a different question. "And this is likely your ship?"
Han clears his throat and says while pointing to himself. "For your information buster this is MY ship and I'm the captain here!"
Lelouch was confused that this man didn't look like he was wearing any navy outfit so it would most likely mean a different captain Luke then said.
"Lelouch this is Captain Han Solo!"
"Solo huh? So you're afraid of a wedding?" Lelouch said as amused at his last name Chewie somehow found that funny as he chuckled as Han said to his first mate.
"Laugh it up fuzzball!" Luke then gestures to the Wookie. "This here is Chewbacca, he's Han's first mate! Call him Chewie for short.."
"Chewie huh?" Lelouch had no clue what to say the Wookie almost reminded him to that of Bigfoot or a big guy in an oversized costume as the Wookie let's a friendly roar to show he was friendly.
Luke then gestured to his droids "And these here are our very friendly droid companions.." "So they're not robots?" Lelouch looking at them.
Luke then shook his head saying "Droid is the dominant term for artificial beings like them this here is R2-D2!" R2 beeps to the exiled prince.
"R2? D2?" "Well to be accurate R2-D2 is an R2 unit of the astromech line of droids. And they are programmed to co pilot starfighters and give assistance to starships.."
"And you are?" Asked lelouch as 3PO then said. "Oh allow me to properly reintroduce myself I am C-3PO human cyborg relations.." The golden droid extended his hand to show he was very friendly. "It is a pleasure to meet you Master Lelouch!"
"Master Lelouch? Normally the one to call me would be Sayoko. A talking robot is greeting me. Literally. The kind I see in the movies. I don't know what to make of this. Of any of this." Lelouch looked again at the extended hand. "Well, it would be rude not to shake, and he does have manners." Lelouch shook the droid's hand.
And then said "Well then it's an honour to meet you C..3." "C3PO but my human masters often refer to me as Threepio. Just as we refer to R2-D2 as Artoo." Artoo beeped. Leia then said.
"And my name is Leia Leia Organa.." With introductions done and dusted Lelouch started to take a look of his surroundings and said as he now stood on his two feet again "So this is a real spaceship.."
Lelouch was completely star struck until his attention fell on a round table—which bore resemblance to a chessboard, and it caught his curiosity. As he looked at it, "What kind of chessboard is this?"
Chewie roared to correct Lelouch as Threepio explained "Well actually sir that is Dejarik game board it's one of the most popular games in the galaxy." Lelouch had a look of confusion on his face.
"G-galaxy?" Artoo rolled over to the board and used a metal extension to tap a button on the board—and springing to life, much to Lelouch's surprise were several holographic figures of alien warriors on the Dejarik board.
"Holograms?" Lelouch said in awe and amazement just then Chewie came over to him and roars in his language.
Lelouch felt intrigued by him as he dashed into the hall "Hey come back here!" Han shouted.
"Lelouch where are you going!?" Leia also shouted.
Lelouch then made his way to where the ramp was but he took a left where he was greeted by the ships cockpit he then stepped inside and saw numerous controls and switches on each sides there were seats with two of the seats managing the controls.
In front of it all was the cockpit's window and saw the outside of the ship.
Lelouch looked out and realised surrounding the ship was a forest. They were in a forest? He then looked above and saw hanging were a pair of golden dice. The student was about to touch them...
"Hey!" Han and others caught up to him. "Hey no touchy no touchy got that?" Chewie nodded as he roared in agreement.
"So it's true I'm on a REAL spaceship!" Lelouch said in shock and awe, as he walked out of the cockpit past Han and back into the main room. "This isn't like any military aircraft, is it?" He looked to everyone, from the furry mammal like the man, the intelligent robots known as droids, the holographic chess board, and then to Luke, who was again wearing the weapon he used to kill his own brother Clovis on his belt. "You're...You're like... aliens?"
"Aren't you supposed to be the alien around here kid?" Han said to the student Lelouch then looks at Luke and then said. "So this is what you meant your aren't from Britannia or from EU your-"
Luke nodded and said "Yeah I meant everything I said back there Lelouch. Han, Leia, Artoo, Threepio and myself aren't from this planet at all..."
Lelouch felt like his world was turned upside down both literally and figuratively as Artoo beeped as he displays harmlessly hologram in the middle of of their galaxy
"WHOA!" Lelouch almost jumped as the hologram rings of star systems that were all unfamiliar to him appeared around him.
"What's the matter, kid? Scared of a hologram?" Han grinned, and Lelouch almost glared at him before turning back to the hologram.
"What is all this?" Leia then said. "This is the galaxy where we're from.." Threepio asked Lelouch "You've never been off planet Master lelouch?"
"O-of course not! N-no ever has.." Lelouch struggles to adjust himself to this new information. "Well... it's a scientific possibility the world has been trying to break through."
"Well, considering your planet, specifically this Empire of Britannia has produced such advanced weaponry like Knightmares it surprises me you haven't cracked that code yet." Luke said. "Well, perhaps..." Lelouch looked down a bit. "But...You say this is your galaxy?" Lelouch could barely fathom people calling a galaxy a home. "And these stars? Are they...?"
"They are star systems with planets of their own. With billions of sentient beings and modern civilizations of their own." Leia said.
"You mean other worlds out there...?" Lelouch could hardly take all of it in. He remembered how during his childhood at the Aries Villa, how he, his mother, and all his many sisters used to lie down outside on the grass and watch the millions of stars throughout the night. "Are all these worlds civilised...?"
"Well, not all of them are civilised," Han said to Lelouch. "There are some star systems that are deemed inhabitable, some of them very savage. There are star systems out there that are yet to be explored. And then there's the Unknown Regions."
"Unknown Regions?" Lelouch questioned. "Are you saying, my world is...?"
"No, Lelouch." Luke said. "The Unknown Regions are a part of our galaxy. The thing is... we lightspeed into your galaxy."
"What's lightspeed?" Lelouch asked Han sighed as he pinched his nose. "Oh boy this is gonna take a while to teach since he's just a kid.."
Leia then said. "For over a millennia, our galaxy used hyperdrives to jump our ships in space into hyperspace." Leia said.
"In general, its fast travel to other star systems, rather than going the long way." Luke explained. "Lightspeed." Lelouch thought, feeling impressed and awed by the concept. "Into hyperspace? Well, that is interesting."
"Yeah," Han muttered. "And it was lightspeed that led us to this rock in the first place using a rare type of hyper fuel."
"What do you mean?" Lelouch furrowed his brows. "What are you people supposed to be? You're not only rebels, but space explorers as well?"
"Huh?!" Everyone except Luke gasped. "Who told you we were rebels?!" Han shouted in panic.
"Luke?" Leia glared at Luke, who nervously smiled. "Come on guys what the heck was I supposed to say?" Luke said.
"Oh, you really have to run your big mouth, huh, Luke," Han said, clearly not happy to hear this. "Even if he didn't, I would have assumed as much," Lelouch said. "Can I even assume...That there are more of you?"
"Yes, Lelouch," Leia nodded. "We are part of the Rebel Alliance to Restore the Republic." "Leia..." Han said not wanting to tell the kid this.
"Republic?" Lelouch raised both his eyebrows at that. "Like the EU Republic?" "The restoration of democracy and free will for all sentient beings in the galaxy." Leia explained.
"You said 'restoration,'" Lelouch pointed out. "What does that mean?"
Leia said to him. "Please allow us to give you the explanation of what's going on." Leia took a deep breath and then said "My father always told me how the Galactic Republic stood for over a thousand years—"
"Thousand of years?! That long?!" Lelouch exclaimed. That amount of time was way way longer than the reign of Britannia. A government that spanned that long?
"Can you please listen, and then we'll explain," Luke said.
"It all began..." Leia closed her eyes a bit, before opening them to look at Lelouch. "...With the Clone Wars."
"And what is this Clone Wars?" Lelouch asked as Leia began explaining like a teacher to a student.
"It was when multiple star systems seceded from the Republic, believing it had become corrupted, and they formed the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Separatists. There began to be paranoia that war would erupt between the two. My father was one of the senators who did all they could to prevent this but sadly it was discovered that the Separatists were building an army for war. The Republic called for an army to combat the Separatists, but it was no easy task. The Chancellor..." Leia's tone turned a bit bitter, "at the time...Was Sheev Palpatine who had been serving ten years in office, and he was given emergency powers to decree for an army for the Republic. And thus, the Clone Wars began and raged on for three long years."
Lelouch was shocked that a war could last for three years.
"As the war raged on, the ideals of the Republic weakened, and Chancellor Palpatine gained more territory and power. He promised that when the war ended, he would withdraw his emergency powers and return power to the senate...But my father and several others suspected it would not be the case."
"From where this is going," Lelouch said. "It sounds like it...That it turned out for the worse."
Leia almost hung her head down but continued.
"The moment the Separatist military was finally defeated Palpatine made his move. After gaining power over the senate, banks, courts, and many territories that had been annexed into the Republic during the war Palpatine used the emergency powers to dissolve the Republic—the very same system that gave them to him. He then turned the Republic into the Galactic Empire, with himself as Emperor."
"I see..." Lelouch narrowed his eyes. "So, he...This... Palpatine...Became powerful enough to destroy the long-standing democracy and replace it with an autocracy that is almost like Britannia..."
Leia nodded sadly, as Luke looked down a bit, and Artoo made a depressing beep.
"Was there any resistance?" Lelouch asked, although a part of him knew the answer wasn't going to be a good one.
"There was well rather were the Jedi!" Lelouch raised his eyebrow as he thought back to the vision saying something that they will reveal themselves to the Jedi and they would have their revenge.
Luke had nowhere to go to tell Lelouch about the Jedi that was until Artoo came over and shinned a human sized hologram while some of the crew shocked looks to see the hologram of Obi wan kenobi.
Artoo then played the recording of old Obi-wan in the sitting position that occurred three years ago. When the old man started talking, Luke did his best not to feel emotional, while Lelouch listened closely.
"For over a thousand generations the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the old Republic. Before the dark times. Before the Empire."
"Guardians?" Lelouch pondered that out loud. "Of peace and justice?" Luke nodded and said.
"Yeah the Jedi were warriors who would always defend the weak and helpless and battled the forces of evil and the Jedi fought to defend the Republic against the Separatist forces as they all served as generals and commanders leading armies.." Lelouch then said "I guess those guys opposed Sidious' plan huh?" Luke as his face became grimmer.
"That was exactly what the Emperor knew would happen so before he declared himself emperor he gave an order called Order 66 to execute all the Jedi."
That shook Lelouch off-guard. "Execution?" "Yes," Luke said. "With order 66, every Jedi in the galaxy regardless of if they were part of the Republic or not were all declared enemies to be captured or killed on sight."
"But... you said the Jedi were warriors of justice who fought for the Republic. Nobody opposed this order?"
"Actually..." Leia said. "From what my father told me, Palpatine had managed to deceive the Senate to believe that the Jedi had formed a conspiracy against him and tried to assassinate him to take power for themselves. It was this false excuse that Palpatine used to justify his order in death-sentencing all the Jedi and establishing the Empire."
Lelouch started to feel a burning ember of anger towards this Emperor Palpatine they were speaking of. Not only did it sound like the man was manipulative power-hungry animal who managed to take advantage of a war to build power for himself—almost like a very-skilled chess player perhaps but most of all it was how sickening the lengths this one person went to consolidate his power by ruthlessly executing and betraying warriors who fought on his side. It made him think back to another man Lelouch hated with every fibre of his heart. A man who wouldn't care less to toss people away like pawns on a board for his own gain. Lelouch gripped his hands into hard fists.
"So..." Lelouch said. "Were all the Jedi killed."
Luke shook his head, sadly. "Out of the thousands of Jedi at the time... Only a handful managed to escape and go into hiding."
Lelouch felt sickened at that. Out of thousands... only a handful survived. He then glanced at the paused hologram of the old man. "And this man here... he was one of those handful?"
"Yes," Luke nodded. "Obi-wan Kenobi was a General of the Republic who fought in the Clone Wars. Not only that..." The young man started to smile. "He was my mentor...And a friend to my father."
"Your father?" Lelouch looked at Luke who nodded as he showed him the weapon Lelouch used to kill Clovis "Indeed and this is my father's lightsaber.."
So that's what that thing was called Lelouch then said. "May I?" Luke nodded as he gave the lightsaber to Lelouch as Luke said "Now be careful when the-"
SWOOSH!
Everyone was startled a bit when Lelouch activated the lightsaber, which now emitted a silvery blue blade from within. Lelouch could only stare at the glowing sapphire flash that it was.
Artoo beeped in approval.
"Hey," Han called out. "Be careful with that, and don't even think of slicing my floor, you're gonna be paying for damage!"
Lelouch made a small wave of the laser weapon and moved into the direction of Threepio who yelped. "Sorry about that!" Lelouch quickly apologised to the droid he then wavered the blade much more carefully and weighed in one hand. "Amazing it's so light!"
Luke could only smile at that. Artoo then pulled out Kenobi's recording again, now reversing it a few clicks back.
"This is the weapon of a Jedi knight. Not as clumsy or random as a blaster."
"Hey!" Han exclaimed towards the hologram of Kenobi. "I heard that old man!" "An elegant weapon for a more civilised age." The hologram of Kenobi finished before it was paused again.
"Civilized, right..." Han scoffed at that. "The only thing I need is a good blaster by my side then some dusty old sword." "Dusty?" Lelouch said, completely breath taken by what he was seeing with his own eyes. "This is literally AMAZING!"
He said in awe as he looked again at the glowing blue blade, before he pressed the same button he used to activate it, to turn it off. As they all leave the cockpit and head into the place where they all met.
"So...This blade can cut through anything like steel?" "Anything like that, so yeah," Luke nodded. "Although, I encountered different sorts of material out there that not even my blade could cut through."
Lelouch looked in marvel at the lightsaber. A blade that can easily sheath itself in something small and compact. A blade that could cut through hard material like butter. Lelouch then asked.
"So besides the pretty badass Lightsaber what else can a jedi do?" Luke then said. "Well a Jedi can also use the Force.."
"The Force?" Luke nodded to Artoo and the astromech fast-forwarded the hologram to a certain point.
"The Force is what gives a Jedi his power. It's an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us. Penetrates us. It binds the galaxy together."
"All living things?" Lelouch was becoming even more baffled. "As in all matter? As in everything in existence? How is that power?" "Allow me to show you!" Luke took his lightsaber back from Lelouch and placed it on the table He went to the opposite of the room and looked at it .
Luke closed his eyes and reached his hand as the lightsaber began to move as Lelouch was seeing it just then the lightsaber flew into the air and into Luke's hand as the young blond man smiled.
Lelouch on the other hand was simply amazed by it "Amazing it's almost like telekinesis..."
"It's not the only thing," Leia said with a small smile. "The Jedi were known to use the Force to perform other kinds of powers..." Luke said. "I have been learning the steps of a jedi for the past three years."
"You said... your father was a Jedi as well?" Lelouch said to Luke. "Does that mean..."
"Yes," Luke nodded. "I am learning he steps in becoming a Jedi like my father was." He chose his words carefully and said "My father, like the other Jedi, was betrayed and was murdered by the empire!" He didn't want to say the name of the man who murdered.
As Lelouch then said seeing Luke's sad face knowing what it was like to lose a parent. "I'm sorry!" Luke then said "I heard you lost a parent as well?"
Lelouch nodded. "Yeah mother held the title of 'Knight of Honor' she was one of the Knights of the Round. A prestigious title to serve directly under the Britannian Emperor. Later... she would become one of the many consorts to the Emperor himself and held the title of Empress."
"What?!" Han almost exclaimed as he looked at Lelouch after what he said, and Leia was almost stunned by what he revealed. Luke was not surprised. Artoo beeped as Chewie roared. "Empress?!" Threepio said. "As a female spouse to the male sovereign ruler?"
"But wait a second if your mom was an Empress," Han looked again at the boy, with disbelief bubbling up. "That means that makes you..." "A Prince?" Leia said, concluding Han's sentence.
Lelouch then looked at Luke with a sheepish grin. "I guess you decided not to inform them about my real identity when I was knocked unconscious.."
Luke chuckled nervously. "Yeah I completely forgot everything was going so fast it slipped my mind.." Lelouch then said to Luke.
"It's okay Luke.." Lelouch then looked at those who haven't been caught up to speed as he did a mocking bow "I am Lelouch vi Britannia. 17th heir in line to the Imperial Throne. Eldest child of Consort and Lady Marianne. Son..." His face briefly twitched uncomfortably. "... Of Charles Zi Britannia, the 98th Emperor of the Holy Empire of Britannia—at your service."
Han and Leia had shocked looked while Chewie roared and Artoo beeped. "17th Heir your pa's the Emperor here.." Lelouch winces as he rubs the back of his head. "I'm sorry if it makes you guys uncomfortable."
"Nah it's fine Leia here is a royal herself." Han quips with a smirk as he points to Leia. "HAN!" "Wait, Leia's also royalty?" Leia nodded. "Yes, what Captain said was indeed not a joke!" Leia then said a bit hesitant. "I'm...Princess Leia Organa of Alderaan." Lelouch widened his eyes at her. "Daughter of Senator Bail and Breha Organa."
"You...A princess?" Lelouch observed her. "I understand if it is hard to believe," Leia said. "Especially since you call yourself a prince, when you have the appearance of that of a student."
"Touche!" Lelouch said to the woman as Threepio then said. "Mistress Leia has many other titles such as a former and now currently holding the rank of General!"
"General?" Lelouch asked as he raised an eyebrow. "I'm the kind of woman who will go through blaster fire to save everyone's skins, and not just sit idly by."
"Really?" Lelouch amusingly started to smirk. "Well, then you're not the typical kind of princess, neither do you seem that much of a damsel who would be afraid to get her hands dirty." There was a bit of a pause there while a slight bit of awareness, and Han started to notice the looks Leia and Lelouch were sharing, while Luke and Chewie started to feel a bit confused. The smuggler could only roll his eyes.
"Oh great just great now I gotta put up with two royal highnesses on my ship!" Lelouch then said. "Please just refer to me as Lelouch no more no less." "Whatever you say your worship.." Han said, before he looked to see both Leia and Lelouch giving him narrowed looks, especially Lelouch. "Oh, sorry, it's just a habit..."
"Getting back to the matter at hand," Luke said, breaking away the tension. "Not only are you a Prince of the Empire of Britannia, you're also a Prince who very much despises it, as I have seen out there."
That is right," Lelouch said. Luke then said "And before anyone says anything he's NOT with Britannia.."
Lelouch nodded. "He's correct I stopped caring for that old nation around eight years ago!"
Lelouch looked at them seriously. "Eight years ago, at the Imperial capital of Pendragon at the Aries Villa where I lived my mother was murdered."
That caught everyone off guard. Chewie roared with a shocked tone. "Oh, my!" Threepio said in horror. "Murdered?" Han asked. "By whom?" Leia asked.
Luke grimaced unsurprisingly as he had heard this from Lelouch only hours ago, yet now it seems the prince was about to go into detail.
"It started when the sound of gunfire erupted and rang throughout the whole palace. By the time I and staff arrived at the stairs—the windows had been broken by gunfire—and my mother was found dead with gunshots all over her—" He gritted his teeth while remembering the scene, along with the next horrible part. "And she was lying on top of my little sister, Nunnally. She died shielding her from most of the bullets, but... Nunnally's legs were shot... and she became traumatised by the event. And that trauma..." He looked away. "Led to blindness."
That caused everyone to look horrified. Chewie and Artoo were speechless. "Oh, my stars!" Threepio exclaimed in horror.
"No way..." Han's face contorted with one of shock, clearly not expecting that. "My god!" Leia said horrified "Did you find the culprit?"
Lelouch sighed and shook his head. "Sadly no I have been wanting the answer to that question for the past 8 years. They said it was the work of terrorists... but I knew it couldn't be." His face hardened a bit. "It couldn't have been easy for hateful terrorists to infiltrate the Aries Villa, which was as secure and fortified as the royal palace, even more so. I knew...At my core... It had to be someone in the royal family."
That shocked everyone. "Well, this just keeps getting better and better..." Han commented sarcastically, not liking where this was going.
"The royal family?" Leia said. "Your right... When you are a member of the Britannian Royal Family..." Lelouch looked away, remembering all too well the ways of life back in court. It is as if you are living in a lion's den. People who are supposed to be your brothers and sisters can turn out to be vile competitors willing to betray and kill you if that is what it takes to become the successor of our father the emperor."
"I see..." Leia said. "It seems life as a royal here means forsaking the value of family for the sake of usurping power for themselves." "Why am I not surprised?" Han quipped, only to receive a glare from both Leia and Lelouch.
"Okay, sorry, I don't mean all royals, some of them can be good people."
"It still doesn't answer the question," Luke said. "How the heck did a Britannian Prince end up as a school student far away from the capital."
Lelouch narrowed his eyes. "It began...The day I confronted my father, the Emperor..."
"Announcing Prince Lelouch Vi Britannia! Seventh Heir to the Royal Britannian Imperial Throne!"
The young adolescent prince walked into the massive throne room and through a lone line of nobles that bowed in his presence. Though he heard bits and pieces of whispers amongst them about what happened to his mother, the Ashford Family's nobility status being called into question, and about how his sister can't even be married off for political gains due to her disabilities now. That last comment made him even angrier, but he was here for one purpose right now.
He stopped before a small set of stairs that led to his father's throne. Though he was a man easily in his 60s, he still had an imposing figure and carried a presence around him that demanded fear and respect.
"Hail your majesty! My mother, the Empress, is dead!" The young Lelouch announced.
"Old news, what of it?" Charles Zi Britannia questioned in a bored tone. "'What of it'?!" Lelouch questioned in shock.
"You sought an audience with the Emperor of Britannia simply to inform me of that?" Charles turned to one of his attendants. "Send the next one in. I have no time for these childish games."
"Father!" Lelouch ran up towards him, the guards would have tried to intercept him, but Charles raised his hand to motion them to stop. "Yes, your majesty!" They stopped.
"Why didn't you keep mother out of harm's way?!" The young Lelouch demanded. "You're the Emperor! The greatest man in this nation if not the world! You should have protected her and now you don't even visit Nunnally!"
"I have no use for that weakling!" The young prince could not have believed what he just heard. "'That weakling'?"
"That is what it means to be royalty." Charles stated.
The adolescent Lelouch was now filled with fury and rage. "Then I don't want to be your heir... I give up my claim to the throne!" He shouted.
Every single noble in the palace looked at him in shock and were visibly appalled by his statement.
"I'm sick of the fighting and scheming over who will succeed you, Father! I've had enough!"
"You are dead!" Lelouch looked in shock as Charles spoke to him. "You've always been dead to me, dead from the moment you've been born! Who gave you the fine clothes you wear, a comfortable home, the food you eat and your very life?! All of those, I have given to you! In short you are nothing to me because you have never existed! Yet you dare to speak such foolishness to me?!"
He shouted with a raised voice as he shot up from his throne, causing the frightened prince to fall on his back as his father glared at him with hate-filled eyes.
"Lelouch, you are dead therefore you are not entitled to any rights. I am sending you and Nunnally to Japan! As prince and princess you will serve well as bargaining tools!"
End of Flashback
Present day
Lelouch looked down at the floor as everyone had their reactions to hearing all this the droid duo stood silent while Chewie made a whimper feeling awful for the young man while Leia and Han were outraged and shocked. As Luke said. "You got exiled by your own father.." Chewie roared out in anger Leia then hugged Lelouch and said. "Lelouch we had no clue we're sorry!" Lelouch was speechless but decided to embrace the hug.
"So your bastard of a pa sent you to japan?" Lelouch stopped hugging Leia and said "Indeed Nunally and I were both sent as political tools to the Prime Minister, Genbu Kururugi. We were to live as hostages under the care of his family."
"Was it..." Leia asked.
"At first..." Lelouch said. "It all started out rough. My sister and I were the children of one, if not the most powerful and most hated man in the world who lived to conquer countries. I couldn't... I couldn't trust anyone. I couldn't trust any of the Japanese with Nunnally. But..."
The student started to remember the weeks that followed. Memories of three children laughing in a storehouse. Two boys playing video games together. The two boys brought sunflowers to the young crippled, blind girl as they sat under the bright sun that's setting across the land .
Lelouch almost smiled. "Well...As time passed... Japan became a place different than that of my home in court. Over time it became..."
"A home." Luke said. "It became a second home for you."
"If you put it that way... yes." Lelouch said.
"For a while... I thought it would be..." All traces of happiness then faded from Lelouch's face. "But then came the day."
"The day?" Threepio asked. "August 10th, 2010," Lelouch grimaced. "The day the empire I once called my home... invaded Japan."
Everyone grimaced at that. For Luke and Leia... it seemed they were about to get a piece of the puzzle they had been looking for since the day before.
Chewie roared, while Han narrowed his eyes.
"Why did Britannia invade Japan?" Leia asked. "Did either side..." "You see..." Lelouch started to explain. "For centuries Japan had managed to be a neutral country, though it possessed a source that is more than valuable to all other superpowers. And that is something known as... Sakuradite."
"Sakuradite?" Everyone was all questioned. "Yes," Lelouch nodded. "It is one of the world's most valuable resources for fuel."
"Fuel source," Leia said. "I see." "So..." Han said. "A valuable fuel source, huh? Like Coaxium."
"Or Rhydonium." Luke added. "Or maybe even Kyber..." Leia said, with a grim tone. She remembered how the fuel-source of the Jedi's lightsabers... was once ill-used for a weapon of mass destruction. A weapon that expunged her beloved home from off the face of the galaxy.
"So...This Sakuradite fuel can..." Luke said. "Let me guess, it's the source that powers the Knightmare frames."
"Yes," Lelouch nodded. "Knightmares. Airships. Power grids. The thing that fuels a country's quest to conquer the whole world."
"And so... Japan had been sitting on a goldmine of this... Sakuradite." Han said.
"That's correct," Lelouch said. "Japan is one of the world's largest sources of it. Before the war, tensions were high between Japan and Britannia due to the excessive amount the former had. There began to be quarrels over the trade supply of Sakuradite."
Han scoffed. "And why keep to diplomacy when they can just swoop in and take the whole damn thing."
"Exactly," Lelouch narrowed his eyes. "But... I don't understand." Leia said. "Your father sent you to Japan as hostages. You're saying... he..."
"I thought hard on that question the day I saw explosions in the sky that day," Lelouch said, his face almost hardening. "My father declared war on the country...Where Nunnally and I were residing. As if he didn't give a damn if we would be caught in the crossfire." Everyone looked once again and horrified and appalled. Even so, their disbelief and anger at Charles zi Britannia's character increased. Chewie roared in anger again. Artoo beeped very angrily.
"Thankfully..." Lelouch continued. "Nunnally and I survived the invasion unscathed. In less than a month...Japan had fallen and became another number along with many countries that had suffered the same fate."
"But if you were alive," Luke said. "Wouldn't..." "No," Lelouch almost scoffed. "Britannia didn't find us or any trace of a body. Nunnally and I were declared dead during the invasion."
"Pfft..." Han scoffed. "I bet your old man didn't bother to send a search party even if he tried."
"Han!" Leia hissed at him. Lelouch almost nodded. "Many times, I often think the same way." "But even so..." Luke said. "Japan was..." "No more," Lelouch said.
"It was given a new name: Area 11. And so, all of its people were branded as numbers. Their culture and pride swept away from them. Reduced to mere lesser beings the Britannians would have the right to topple over." "I know..." Luke made fists of his hands, which Leia noticed Luke's anger. After all, they had the example of Britannia's cruelty against the Japanese population today."
Chewie made an angry roar, the wookie finding the situation no different to that of his people when they got enslaved by the Galactic Empire.
"I still don't get it," Han said. "How come a prince... one is supposed to be legally dead... is dressed up as a schoolboy?"
"When the war ended, Nunnally and I were taken into the care of the Ashford Family," Lelouch said. "They were once one of Britannia's most prestigious families, and they were supporters of my mother. After her death, their wealth and status declined, and they were forced to move here. They have been sheltering us ever since. Nunnally and I attend their school... albeit under a different last name."
"Your sister..." Leia asked. "Is she..."
Lelouch looked at the woman with a serious expression. "She's alright...But sadly...She's... blind... and not able to walk." That caused everyone to look saddened.
"Oh, my stars..." Threepio said, clearly horrified by all this. "I can't even begin to imagine...It's just...Oh dear me." The cyborg walked towards it. "I am so sorry for your sister, Master Lelouch, truly I am."
Lelouch looked at the droid, almost surprised by the sincerity of the droid's voice, even though he wasn't human. "I... appreciate it...Thank you."
"So, that's your story, huh?" Han said. "You disguise yourselves as two students, and you are hiding from your own Empire."
Lelouch's eyes hardened. "Yes. Going back to the royal court is the last thing we need. The last thing Nunnally needs. We were tossed aside. We were put at risk to die. If we were ever to be found, we would no doubt be used again as political tools for the man I once called my father. He views all his children as disposable pawns to build the abomination he calls an empire.
"In the Empire, those who are strong will survive, while those who are considered weak must perish, to be tossed aside... like garbage." Lelouch spat that part out like poison water. "It's revolting. It's unbearable. It's a world... where I can't live in... because it would mean Nunnally can't live in it."
Everyone raised their eyebrows at that.
"You believe..." Luke said. "That she would be tossed aside, because of her... injuries."
"Yes," Lelouch said, which was as venomous as a growl escaped his lips. "A world that won't be afraid to let her die because of what happened to her..."
"It's unfair..." Leia said, clearly appalled.
Lelouch closed his eyes. "I have spent so long trying to live our lives in a lie. The lie that we were safe, while all around, Britannia keeps getting stronger by the minute. Its sins ungoverned and slipped by. The dream that is my father's... wavering in my face." He opened his eyes. "No. As of today... I refuse to live by that dream any longer. I will uphold the vow I made upon a time when the sun last set on land that was called Japan."
Now he had caught all their attention. "A vow?" Luke said. Lelouch felt his hands shaking as his face was covered by shadows. "I swore..."
"Suzaku, so help me!" A young Suzaku turned his head at a young Lelouch whose eyes had a fury that could burn down a planet "One day I will-"
"Obliterate Britannia from off the face of the world!" Lelouch almost roared as it echoed across the Falcon.
Everyone almost baulked at the fury and anger in Lelouch's voice, and it was raw as evidenced by his eyes and face. The young man's eyes were full of hate... and vengeance. Luke was unsurprised, he had witnessed this anger just hours ago when Lelouch confronted Clovis, yet it felt more so than before.
Han didn't know it, but somehow the smuggler looked at the boy with both an uncomfortable and disturbed feeling that made him wary.
Chewie looked silent, as did the droids. Threepio had put a hand to his mouth at Lelouch's almost outburst.
Leia, while almost uncomfortable, started to comprehend the words Lelouch said, and realised beside the feeling of hatred... there was something that she was all too familiar with.
"So you want to start a rebellion to get back at your father right?" Lelouch nodded as determination entered his mind
"Yes, to tear down the fake world my father created!" Lelouch then held his left eye "If I'm gonna wage a war then I must no I must choose to become a rebel.." One close look and you could see he was almost smiling "Like you lot.."
Somehow Luke understood him the moment Lelouch and he first met and the actions that followed after in that ex prince's heart was a rebel.
Lelouch narrowed his eyes at him. "You're not taking me seriously?" "Han..." Leia said.
"I don't think everyone is thinking straight!" Han exclaimed. "It looks like to me all you guys are ready to dive into another problem!"
"Problem?" Lelouch almost glared.
"I'm sorry, if I'm offending you, kid," Han apologised. "I get it. I'm sorry for what happened to you and your sister, even what happened to all the people here. Your dad sounds like a real son of a bitch. Hell, I already hate the guy, even though I haven't met him. But... we have enough problems and things we need to take care of."
"Oh, come on, Han..." Luke said. "Luke," Han said. "Look at us. We are literally...A galaxy far far FREAKING away from the fleet we have no place to create a new base. The falcon's still in pretty bad shape and we're stuck here so our answer is no!"
Lelouch then said. "You don't have to help if you don't wanna I could handle myself.."
"Lelouch it's not that simple." Leia spoke up "But however I don't believe it's impossible what you're saying Lelouch,"
Leia said. "I mean...Not long ago...Our Rebellion was no smaller than what you see before you now." She gestured to herself and the Millennium Falcon crew before the exiled prince. "It all started out with cells manned by very few people. Over time they came together to go against a common enemy. Even one man... with the spark of hope can light the fire that will burn the order of oppression down." "And for that to happen... you can't do this alone," Luke said. "You not only need arsenal and funding... but most of all... you'll need men and women who have the courage to fight the Empire, and with what we have seen lately...I don't doubt it will be hard to find such people." He gave Lelouch a look, and the boy understood. Luke was referring to the rebels they had allied with not so long ago.
"And you don't have to count on doing this by yourself," Leia said. "If so... we will help you in this endeavour." "Leia!" Han exclaimed. "You...Want to help me?" Lelouch looked at the woman. Who nodded back and said.
"Yes and we may have only met, and so we are with you. But even if we have not met...What Britannia is doing is wrong. It is no different than the Galactic Empire I dedicated my life to bring down. The one my parents dedicated their lives to." She almost felt sombre in mentioning them, but still stood strong. "I won't forget what I saw in the ghettos. And I won't stand for an Empire that oppresses the weak to stand any longer."
"I can't forget as well, especially not after today," Luke said, and he faced Lelouch.
"I get it. We do have another responsibility in our galaxy. But since the Falcon is out of commission..." He noticed Han's look of irritation.
"For the time being...We're stuck here." He faced Lelouch again. "But that doesn't mean we're just gonna sit here and do nothing. We're rebels after all..." Lelouch was completely shocked by their kindness as Luke then said. "Based on experience rebels always stand a greater chance together!"
Luke smiled offering his hand to Lelouch but instead of saying his former prince he chose the different name. "So what do ya say Lelouch Lamperouge? You want to join the Rebel Alliance?"
Lelouch felt completely amazed at what was happening to think he of all people would end up...On what was a real life spaceship owned by people from a galaxy far far away it was clear as day it was real and this was the new road he needed all this time!
This strange young man...Who he had saved...And who had saved him back through thick and thin...Was offering to help him carry out the vow he had made many years ago.
Lelouch looked at each of them, before finally looking at Luke. But if joining a rebellion will fulfil the vow, he made many years ago...
He made a decision. "Alright then..." Lelouch almost smiled and took Skywalker's hand. "I accept your contract."
At that Luke smiled, as well as Leia. Artoo beeped, and Chewie roared in joy, while Han tilted his head back with a sigh.
"Wonderful news, sir!" Threepio came up to Lelouch. "I am very pleased to make your acquaintance, Master Lelouch!" Lelouch made a shy smile. "Well...The pleasure may be mine... I think."
"Well, this is great. Just great." Han rolled his eyes. "Now I guess we'll have to make more room in the quarters."
"Quarters?" Lelouch said. "You mean staying here? I can't stay, I have to..." The student then looked at his phone and then said as his eyes widened
"Oh shit! 10:13!? How long was I out for?!" Lelouch exclaimed.
"Is everything all right, Master Lelouch?" Threepio asked. "Oh no I'm late!" Lelouch cried out as he put a hand to his head. "Nunnally is going to be wondering where I am! Crap! I should have known it was nighttime!"
"Hey," Han said. "Calm down, kid..."
"Calm down?!" Lelouch exclaimed. "How can I calm down when Ashfold is far away by the time I get there it'll be morning..."
"Ashford Academy?" Leia said. "You mean...The place next door."
It was at that moment the baffled Lelouch said in confusion while having a deadpan look on his face. "Wait what?"
The ramp to the Falcon descended allowing the group to walk down as Lelouch was completely shocked that Luke and his allies surprised him once again. "Your saying Ashfold is literally just outside.." Han nodded and said "Yep where we crash landed?"
"T-that could mean.." Just then he puts two and two together as his eyes widen standing before him.
Although it was shadowed by the night and the shadows of the trees... was the exterior of the one and only Millennium Falcon.
Lelouch could see the shape of its exterior. Some of its edges and shape was different to that of what he had seen of Britannian airships. He looked further to the side on what looked like the cockpit windows. This...Was really a ship from outer space?
Leia, Chewbacca, Threepio, and Artoo descended down the ramp as they all saw Lelouch's reaction. As Han couldn't help himself but grin.
"Well..." Han continued to grin. "Looks like someone's speechless." "You're enjoying this aren't you, Han?" Leia shook her head playfully. Han then playfully rolls his eyes as Lelouch looked at the ship completely shocked and amazed
"I-I always thought spaceships were just stuff in movies but..." Just then he remembered Rivalz's talk early this morning about the footage of a UFO it was now clear as day "I get it now it was you!"
The falcon's crew had a confused look as Lelouch then said "My friend Rivalz told me last night there was a sighting of an unidentified aircraft near the Tokyo Settlement."
He looked back at the Falcon. "So, it was you, wasn't it?" Chewie roared.
"Well, we didn't mean to intrude," Han said. "Then that was when there was some chasing and shooting."
"So, you crash landed into the woods...An ideal hiding spot." Lelouch concluded. "Heh... not bad for my first time seeing a spaceship and somehow staying calm though of my little episode. However" "However, what?" Han baulked at the phrase. "Oh, here we go..." Leia said with an eye roll. "I was expecting this ship to be more shiny..." Luke shook his head while smiling as this reminded him when he saw the ship for the first time as han said very annoyed.
"Now you listen here I'm sorry she's not pretty according to your royal standards. But she's got it where it counts on the inside. Because this is the freighter that made the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs!"
"Kessel Run? Parsecs?" Lelouch said completely confused on what that meant. Han then realised Lelouch didn't know those terms. "Okay, listen, she may not be much, but she is one of, if not the fastest thing you'll ever find yourself on."
"Well," Lelouch smiled amusingly. "As long as it is on the ground, I guess you won't be able to prove it to me." That caused a stamp mark to form on Han's head. "Oh, you are asking for a knuckle sandwich..."
"Easy there, captain," Leia said, pulling Han. "It's getting late." Lelouch looked at Luke. "Right this way." He said as he led the student through the woods. While Han wondered what did he and his allies get themselves into now.
About 3 minutes later Luke and Lelouch were greeted by the sight of Ashford Academy. Only a few lights at the windows were still on.
"You weren't lying then," Lelouch said, almost baffled. "You really..." He almost chuckled.
"You really did crash land your ship right next to my school."
"Yeah..." Luke said, almost feeling amazed by the fact...That Han somehow managed to land the Falcon less than a small walk to where Lelouch was residing. It was...Very strange...And almost convenient. "It feels like... like..."
"What a coincidence?" Lelouch said. "I don't think I would put it as coincidence," Luke said. "I find it...All the more baffling of the odds that I would meet you today...A prince... Well, you were one..."
Lelouch pondered that and understood. "Likewise to think...A gambling student like me meeting and teaming up with a spaceman from outer space." He almost smirked at that.
"Spaceman?" Luke almost chuckled at that as he had a funny grin and then said "Well for a prince of a former empire I wish to thank you..."
Lelouch then stopped and asked. "Thank me for what?"
Luke then answered "For saving my life back there in Shinjuku.." Lelouch nearly paused for a second. It was true the student felt baffled at the feeling that the rebel was expressing his gratitude to him. Someone he had only met this morning, and what happened after.
"Well..." Lelouch almost smiled. "I should be thanking you, too. For saving my hide from that white Knightmare."
"Yeah," Luke almost smiled as well. "Pretty wild though. Though, I was returning the favour."
"And... you were the one to carry me away after being shot." "Heh, yeah. Well, that was after we helped each other after Clo.." Lelouch released and remembered as his cheeriness was gone
"Yeah I remember.." Luke was about to say something but lelouch assured him "listen it's okay what's done is done if he did live you would have been captured while Nunally and me would have been returned to our.."
Luke then said "It's cool nothing to worry about I still can't believe he murdered all those people just for one girl!"
Lelouch nodded, and he went to touch his eye. "Whatever it was my brother wanted from her, or who she was... we may never know. But... she gave me this power... and I won't waste it." Luke looked at Lelouch. "And by now...They would have found out Clovis is dead."
"Not only that..." Luke started to realise. "He was the Third Prince and a Viceroy."
"Yes, he was," Lelouch said, his face turning grim. "You know what this means..." Luke said.
"I know..." Lelouch said. "Once word gets out that his highness is dead...There will be consequences. There's no turning back."
"Yep..." Luke said with a sigh.
Clovis' death was something he did not disclose to his friends, and when he had to tell them, they were sure going to...
"Here take this!" He said as he handed a comlink identical to the other one he had to Lelouch "Hey this looks like-" Luke interrupted him and said "Yep use it to contact me whenever."
"So, this is how it's going to be, huh? Like partners in crime?"
Lelouch had a small smirk on his face. "Plus, whenever I feel like it, I can just take a stroll into the woods and drop by your alien spaceship to chat."
"Heh," Luke chuckled at that comment. "Well, it makes things all the more the easier. Though, I guess not many things are easy."
This time it was Lelouch who offered a handshake and said "See you tomorrow Red 5!" Luke was confused but smiled and shook his head "As do you K." Lelouch then said
"I'll think of a better name than K.."
"You want another codename.." Lelouch nodded and said
"It hasn't come to me but I'm sure it will!" With that Lelouch finally walked away from Luke and towards the school building. And Luke started to walk back towards the forest.
Before Luke could enter again into the forest, he looked back one more time to see Lelouch walking towards the entrance to the academy. He then caught sight of Lelouch's shadow illuminated by the light from the windows.
Nunnally a young girl she had long wavy light brown hair as it reached down her waist and sadly she could not seen due to her eyes being sealed for eight years. And next to the young girl was Lelouch and Nunnally's maid Sayoko, a tall young woman with dark brown hair and brown eyes. While she is normally seen wearing a maid's uniform.
They both wondered why Lelouch wasn't home until they heard the door open. "I'm home!"
Sayoko sighed in relief "Oh thank goodness, welcome Master Lelouch!" Lelouch smiled as Nunally than said.
"Big brother, where were you all day? Rivalz said he couldn't find you, and Shirley was very concerned." Lelouch sheepishly chuckles and said.
"You see Nunally there was an accident on the road and I thought people were hurt so I went to help.."
Sayoko then noticed Lelouch's wound and then said as her eyes widened "Master Lelouch you seem to have been injured, how did you get that injury.."
Nunally gasps and says to her big brother "You're not hurt, how did that happen?" Lelouch then said making a lie.
"Well I saw these bad people using guns and I had to stop the fighting, however I got shot in the stomach and I began to lose a lot of blood. However I was somehow rescued by someone. I didn't see their face though but they did save my life while patching the wound..."
Sayoko sighed in relief as did Nunnally. "Well it's very late. I made a promise to Mistress Nunnally that when you returned you would go to bed." The maid said to them.
"Yeah it's very late.." Nunnally said as Lelouch nodded as Sayoko helped Nunnally to bed while Lelouch got into his pyjamas after a big day.
Unknown location in a meeting room
Am and Karre watched as the doors opened to a mysterious room as they both had their helmets back on as Argos, Shin and Julius saw the twins enter the room then took a good look at Argos who smiled at them once they had taken their seats.
"Karre and Am as well, nice of you to join us..." Karre then said with a bow. "We look forward to this meeting Master.." Argos smiled to see them both.
Shin nodded and said looking at an empty seat. "We only need one last member to join our meeting, the greatest bounty hunter in all the universe, to join us!" The man with the eyepatch nodded and said as he used the Force to pour himself a glass of water while having a small glare at him.
"Indeed a meeting with the Founders of the Royal Regime with just only four members isn't what I would call a meeting Shin.."
Argos then said as he glared at the man with the eyepatch who drinks the water. "Be patient Julius Durge will make contact I can assure you.."
Just then they heard something beeping. Am then said. "Speak of the devil!"
Argos answered it as a hologram of a muscular creature that wore a powerful suit of armour as it had blue and red markings. One look at this person could terrify anyone if they looked at it as this being was now in the seat.
"Ah Durge it is nice to see you finally got to the meeting and here I thought you would send one of your enforcers in your place since you're busy hunting down prey in Area 9 such as the young princes who operate the lands..."
Durge then spoke, chuckling to himself as he folded his arms. "You are correct, Director Argos. I have been hunting down all sorts of prey to destroy in that little Area and across the nations..."
Shin then said to the armoured hunter. "And are Britannia forces giving you any type of trouble or are they out of your league?"
Durge however laughed at that as if knowing the answer to the question. "Of course not Shin these weaklings can't even give Jedi a run for their credits what a waste of time they all are!"
Am said as she looked at the greatest Bounty hunter. "That is correct I find Britannia simply pathetic just like its sister nation Euro Britannia that they haven't even perfect space travel while we have and what are your thoughts on the matter Durge?"
Durge scoffed and said to the acolyte. "These humans are all a waste of time, even the royal family they're all pathetic with all this technology they have and their Knightmare frames and they are using their achievements all for conquest such a waste of time when they could be used for a greater cause!"
Julius then said as he finished his drink as he placed it on the table. "If I had my way I would have destroyed the Empire and everyone who serves that pathetic leader..."
Argos then said as he slammed his hands into the desk silencing them. "Enough!" Everyone stopped talking amongst each other as Argos then said.
"Listen guys as much as I want to terminate the entire Britannia Empire at this moment we still have use of them for our plans so it's clear we need to keep our true nature in check now moving onto the important things at the matter!"
Argos then looks at Shin with a stern look. "Shin deliver your report on what you had discovered around last night!"
Shin nodded to Argos as he showed an image of the Millennium Falcon on the table's hologram system.
"This was the strange ship I had discovered around midnight; it appeared to look like a freighter ship..."
Druge then said, getting a good look of the ship. "Hmm...A freighter ship you say? And where exactly was it last spotted?" Shin then said.
"Around Area 11 that's where I last saw it before I lost it.." Durge then asked another question as he looked at the image of the ship.
"I see...Above Area 11 you say? Very interesting. What was on it? Any passengers or stolen goods from the other side of the galaxy?" Shin then said with a shake of his head. "Prior to vanishing off our radar I was able to scan the freighter ship. It had discovered six passengers aboard, three humans, two droids and some big furry creature..."
Drudge then said, knowing what creature it is. "It's most likely a Wookie native to the Kashyyyk system!"
Juilus then said as he poured himself another glass of water. "Moving on from our missing starship and its passengers that escaped Shin's grasp there's Am and Karre's report!"
Argos then said a nod to his student. "Agreed!" He then looked at the twins and said as his displays a holo image of two girls.
The first girl was a Lepi rabbit-like humanoid girl with brown fur and blue eyes. She wears a white-and-orange jumpsuit with a yellow vest, arm and leg covers, and an orange strap around her belly.
And the other was a woman wearing tan robes and wearing a blue dress as she wore black heels and a mechanical mask as she had purple eyes.
"So tell me did you and your brother locate the Jedi: Lop and F hiding in the Shinjuku Ghetto?"
Am shook her head and said as it was now her turn to talk. "Sadly we did not find them, it would appear the Jedi were not aiding the resistance this time, not since Karre had taken down the original leader of that pitiful little rebel cell Naoto Kozuki..."
Karre had a frown on his face as he had to hide it from the others on the person he was hesitant to strike down him he had to do a mercy kill.
Am then said with a smirk hiding under her mask. "But however our search wasn't all for nothing we felt the force shift to the side of the light..."
Argos then said as if he was intrigued to hear this. "Go on!" Am then said continuing her report to him.
"One pilot armed with a Knightmare was able to go head to head with Doctor Asplund's newest creation the Lancelot. The force was strong within him...There's no doubt the person fighting the Earl of Pudding's newest machine is a Jedi! And might have been the one who executed Prince Clovis in cold blood!"
Argos then said as he folded his arms. "That could be a good lead but for now. I want our best Matrix Troopers monitoring Area 11 at all times and keep an eye out if the other Jedi do decide to show up with the one who killed Clovis!" Am and Karre nodded as Argos then said. "Now then you're all dismissed, meeting adjourned!"
Shin, Julius, Durge, Am and Karre all nodded as Durge turned off the holoprojector on his end as they all left the room leaving Argos by himself thinking and pondering what to do next as his eyes glowed.
WHACK!
"WAKE UP, LELOUCH!" Lelouch rubbed his head when Milly hit him with a roll of paper. "I know you were sleeping! Your hand stopped moving!" "Well, you don't have to beat me up over it." Lelouch sighed.
"Well it serves you right for ditching me like that!" Rivalz pointed with a cocky grin, as looked over the notes.
"Yeah, what was up with you yesterday? You were separated from Rivalz and then you got shot in the stomach!" Shirley questioned as she sat next to Lelouch. The whole student council in the room.
"Uh, well..." Lelouch rubbed his head and thought to himself.
'Nothing too important just met some aliens who came here from their ship two days ago who almost look human looking well apart from the droids and the Wookie and I was able to wield a laser sword that's all while learning Rivalz was right the whole time...'
"That's enough you guys!" Milly said. "Let's not get sidetracked here. If we do not come up with a fix for the club activities' budget, there won't be any money left at all!"
"And if it comes to that..." Nina said as she sat at her computer.
"The Equestrian Club will be pissed!" Rivalz chuckled. "We don't need them coming in here riding on horseback, right?"
"Oh, Rivalz..." Milly sighed. "Can't you be a more serious student council member? First, you were all about UFO's the other day, and now you can't take this meeting seriously?"
The madam president didn't care to notice that one of the said Equestrian Club members was looking at her from the window, while riding his horse.
"Well, not only that. But also, we have to deal with both the budget and what plan for the School Festival." Shirley pointed out. "The School Festival is still months away!" Rivalz said.
"Yeah, we still have plenty of time, Shirley," Lelouch said.
"GUTS!" Milly cried out with clenched fists, causing everyone to wince at her outburst.
"Are you trying that 'guts' spell again?" Rivalz asked.
"Yep!" Milly smiled at him. "And I expect all of you to put your all into this!"
"I really don't think your magic is gonna do a whole lot," Lelouch said. "Actually," Shirley said, with a growing confident smile. "It's got me going Madam President!"
"Supple and willing," Milly smiled. "That's what I like." "I've been training hard in the gymnastics club!" Shirley made a fist proudly.
"That's not what I was getting at," Milly said, leaving Shirley confused. "You're a ten." Milly said with narrowed eyes, and her smile looking haughty. "From what I've seen in the girl's bathroom anyway... you're filling out all the right places, am I right?"
"Ho-ho..." Rivalz chuckled naughtily as he looked to where Milly was looking, causing Lelouch to sigh.
"Wh..." Shirley started to realise with horror, and she quickly covered her chest, as her cheeks turned red. "What are you talking about, you perv?!"
"Geez, our president is such a dirty old man on the inside! Sullying the meeting with her filthy mind." Shirley exclaimed with slight disgust as she, Nina, and Rivalz walked down the school hallways, with the council meeting having just ended.
"Yeah, well, that's Milly for you." Nina said. "Hey, look on the bright side," Rivalz said. "At least we got the budget balanced, didn't we?"
The three went to enter the computer room and noticed several students gathering around one computer displaying the news as they began to mutter with each other.
"They used poison gas?" A female student said. "Man, that's freaky! Shinjuku is only 30 minutes from here!" Another student said, looking a bit scared. "Oh my... I saw smoke coming from Shinjuku!" A female student said. "It must have been the gas!"
Shirley noticed Lelouch coming into the room, and she remembered. "Shinjuku? Lulu, yesterday you were asking about Shinjuku. Were you..."
"I heard about it in real time from a friend," Lelouch said, with his neutral mask on. "That's why I called you the other day."
He looked at the screen on the computer, showing the traffic restrictions and people in quarantine suits. It was all a farce to favour the military and conceal the massacre that had happened. It was unlikely that people will believe the surviving Eleven populace that their viceroy and prince had ordered genocide.
Where he had to....Had to....
The image of him holding Luke's lightsaber in two hands before instantly beheading Clovis as his head fell from his neck.
Lelouch's face turned a bit green as he was struggled to hold back a vomit
"Lulu?" Shirley noticed. "Are you feeling..." Unfortunately, Lelouch had dashed out of the room, leaving her confused on why he ran.
Millennium Falcon
Han wasn't in a good mood as he was pacing back and forth with a look of worry on his face on what Luke had told the group as well as Lelouch the day before as Threepio noticed the captain doing this and said in concern.
"C-captain Solo the way you're walking back and forth it seems you're a bit nervous about something..." Han then said not even bothering to look at the droid. "Oh you think?!"
Luke then said "I get your on edge after yesterday I know it's a lot to-" Han saud interrupting Luke "I know a lot to process that you were in a literal war zone just the other day..."
Leia nodded and said "Han's right and you piloted one of those Britannian war machines which are known as Knightmares..."
Chewie roared in agreement. Luke then said. "I know it was my first but managed to get the hang of it..."
Leia then said. "I know that but you could have seriously hurt yourself or worse been captured..." "In which he almost did!" Han pointed out at the part when Luke recapped when he and Lelouch were held at gunpoint by Clovis. "You weren't there to see what was happening there. It was a bloodbath!" Luke exclaimed. "Military were gunning people! Mothers, fathers, and children! All of them for the sake of finding that...This girl..."
"Yeah, the same girl..." Han said. "Who you say...When she was killed...She just gives Lelouch this sort of...Magic...And then all of a sudden...Lelouch can mind-control people? Like making people killing each other?" That part Han almost found hard to believe, yet it didn't stop the smuggler from being disturbed by the idea.
"Yes," Luke nodded. "As I just said."
Luke then glanced at Leia as she ponders a bit as Leia saw Luke was battling against the training remote as he said while battling the remote to get a bit better in combat it was lucky that Luke was getting better on battling the remote.
"Look guys I know you all have doubts about Lelouch when I saw use his power on those men. He could have used it on me any time yesterday. He could have used it on me as a means to escape the chaos in the ghetto...But however he didn't. He stayed...And with that power he entrusted me with a Knightmare Frame of my own...And he helped the rebels fight off against the Britannians. And most of all...When we went to confront Clovis, Lelouch could have just asked him only of his mother's murder alone, but he decided not to!" Luke then slashed the remote in two as he turned off his lightsaber he then sighed saying.
"He doesn't see the Japanese as numbers but sees them as human beings in fact one of his friends was.." Luke paused as he was repairing the remote remembering the Japanese youth, Suzaku, who was executed before his eyes when he disobeyed his superior for him and Lelouch's sakes.
"Despite his...Trust issues...There's more to Lelouch than wanting exact vengeance on Britannia," Luke said. "A part of him that is a true rebel that wants to turn the planet around...For the better." Luke then said as he tossed the blast shield helmet away
"Maybe we can teach him and guide him on the right path!" Chewie roared somehow agreeing with the idea. "Chewie, come on, you just met Lelouch yesterday and you're willing to trust him..." Han said to his partner and to Luke "As you said Luke you and your new best friend ended up taking the head of a prince you got a clue what it means?"
Luke then said "I know I know! There are consequences..."
"Not just consequences. BIG consequences!" Han emphasised on the situation. "Killing stormtroopers in one thing and that's fine, but a member of royalty...Oh, that is way worse. I'm not saying that soldier's deaths mean less. But, to the people...IT IS! When these people. These citizens of the Britannian Empire find out that their governor. Their prince...Is now dead...Then everyone will start losing their minds!"
"Ugh!" Luke grunted. "If you're saying I should have stopped Clovis from dying, I really do wish that Han! I didn't want it to happen! But then he had us at gunpoint and we would have been captured!" He looked away. "I know but sadly it can't be done now. I just...I can only imagine what happened after I took Lelouch out of the base..."
Flashback (The day before)
Am and Karre used the force to open the doors as Bartley, Villetta and Jeremiah's eyes widened in pure horror as they see Clovis's head detached from his body.
"Oh my god!" Barley shouted in horror while Am and Karre began to investigate the crime scene where the royals were shocked until Jeremiah then shouted to Bartley as the man jumped back in shock. "YOU! You did this, you saw what was happening and you took your chance to murder royalty didn't you!?" Bartley then shouted.
"What are you deaf I was nowhere the transport you fool!" Villetta was ignoring the two men arguing as Am and Karre examining the dead body and then to the strange blood on the floor that somehow didn't belong to the deceased prince maybe the blood of the culprit. "And what do you think you're both doing? You refused to aid his highness and you did nothing about it!" Am then said. "We were searching for the Jedi who were aiding this terrorist group but they were never here to begin with. My brother and I are searching for a Force Echo in the room or something that might be a clue to the person who murdered Clovis as this was the work of a Jedi after all perhaps they carelessly left something behind like their lightsaber or a gun..."
Villetta scoffed and said not believing in the force "Well it's really annoying that the force hasn't conjured Prince Clovis's murder if you ask me your sorcerers ways are nothing more then-"
Just then Villetta Nu felt the urge to grab her own throat as she felt she was being lifted from the ground which caught the attention of Jeremiah and Bartley stopped arguing as they gasped in worry for Villetta.
Am is shown lifting her hand making a choking thing with the hand as Villeta is being force choked as Am said.
"Somehow I find your lack of faith not amusing!" Villeta could almost feel her life fade from her eyes as Jeremiah then said.
"That's enough Lady Am let her go, you proved her point to her!" Am then said agreeing with the man. "As you wish Jeremiah!" She then let's the woman go as she was gasping for air.
Karre then grabbed a test tube from his cape and placed a bit of blood into tube to find a match back at the base as they then leave leaving the three by themselves.
Villetta winced when she was not only being force choked by one of the Royal Regime's members an acolyte but knowing the fact she saw the dead body of a prince. "Bartley..." Jeremiah gritted his teeth. "That ex-civil servant is such a fool." "My lord?" Villetta asked.
"The killer has breached our heaviest security twice already," Jeremiah said. "This perfunctory inspection is a farce!"
"My lord...With what we have found at the crime scene of...His Highness's body..." Villetta winced at the memory of Clovis's body and his head... But more importantly...The traces they had found. "If we can analyse the investigation, we could find out who was responsible..." "We may have no time for that! We are keeping the word of His Highnesses' death for too long as it is. And when that happens... Area 11 will be a panic ground. We must strike now while the iron is hot!"
"My lord?" VIlletta raised her eyebrows. "What are you saying?" Jeremiah looked at his subordinate with a smirk. "Listen to what I have to say, and you'll understand."
A while later at Ashfold
"Kallen, it's been ages!" Lelouch walked in and heard a group of girls talking to another student.
"Are you alright? Sophie's been worried sick all this time!" Another girl said. "You're okay though, right?"
"Yeah, I just have to go easy for a while," Kallen said with a soft smile. "Anyway, if I stay home any longer, I'll never catch up."
Lelouch almost gasped when he saw her. It was her. Red hair. Blue Eyes. And that voice...He never forgot a voice. It was her. Q-1. The same terrorist girl in the red Glasgow.
"Of course! So that's why she looked so familiar!" He thought, as he took a seat, still watching her.
"What's up, buddy? See anything you like?" Rivalz noticed Lelouch's attention on Kallen. "You got a thing for her, don't ya!"
"Just thinking of this as a rare event." Lelouch said. "She hasn't been here at school since the whole term started."
"Oh, yeah. That's Kallen Stadtfeld." Rivalz explained. "They say she's sick or something, and she barely showed up at school last year either. Still, her grades are at the top of the class. And she's a member of the Stadtfeld family, which means she's well-bred and rolling with money. Man, you sure know how to pick 'em!"
"It's not like that." "Ah, you don't have to hide it. Though a touch too sheltered, if you ask me."
Lelouch narrowed his eyes as he continued observing the red-headed girl. "Nobility? What is her reason for terrorism?"
Luke was doing some training with his lightsaber until he heard someone knocking on the ramp, most likely Lelouch; he then pushed some buttons to have the ramp descend, and before Lelouch ascended, there was something else that Luke caught with his nose. A peculiar kind of aroma.
Yes?" Luke questioned and saw Lelouch come in with what looked like a flat cardboard box, which was no doubt the source of the smell.
"Good morning," Lelouch greeted. "Sorry, if I didn't contact you before. It's lunch hour, so that means..."
"What is that you got?" Luke pointed at the thing in Lelouch's hands.
Han, Leia, Chewie and Threepio watched the holographic news channel that Artoo was displaying in the cockpit "Anything on Clovis's?" Artoo shook his head head as Leia said concerned.
"Looks like they're preventing chaos in the state but how long will it take?"
Chewie roared as this got everyone's attention "What is it Chewie?" Leia asked.
"Chewbacca says he smells something." Threepio said, and Artoo beeped. They follow this smell as they see Lelouch and Luke was not behind as Lelouch then said to the other rebels "Good morning!"
"What'd ya bring to my ship?" Han asked as he had a small glare to Lelouch Leia then said, smelling it. "Is that food?"
Luke then said "Yeah from what Lelouch told me it's lunch.." Lelouch nodded and then said
"Well it's my lunch break so I thought to myself maybe Luke and the others might enjoy it and talk strategies while we eat..."
Han then said as he looked at it "What does the box say?" "It's Pizza Hut.."
Lelouch said as Han's eyes widened worried it may be a connection to the Hutt Clan and he still hadn't paid Jabba yet however it turned out to be the exact opposite as Lelouch opened the box, and everyone looked at the flat circle of dough, cooked with grilled cheese, tomato sauce, and pepperoni.
"Is that some sort of... bread?" Han asked. Lelouch then summarised. "Now I get it. I guess you don't have food similar to Pizza where you're from?"
Chewie felt ready to chow down while Han checked it to check if it was drugged as Lelouch then said "Don't worry it's not poisoned, have a bite..."
Luke, Leia, Han and Chewie were worried but nodded as they grabbed a slice each and had a small bite as they had stars in their eyes as Lelouch smirked at their reactions the four out of Chewie then roars with joy as he ate a another slice
"Oh, my!" Threepio cried out, misunderstanding their reactions. "Are all right?! Are you not feeling well?!"
"The opposite, Threepio!" Luke said, smiling at the pizza in his hands. "It's...It's..."
"It's...So good!" Han looked in awe.
"Good? It's more than good, it's great!" Leia said. "I could eat the whole thing."
Chewie roared in delight as the Wookie went to take another piece as Leia had an amused grin. "Well, Chewie can."
The sight of seeing people trying pizza for the first brought a light-hearted smile to Lelouch's lips. "Heh glad you guys are enjoying it, good thing I managed to grab three boxes..."
"My, my, sir," Threepio approached Lelouch. "Judging by their reactions, you seemed to have cooked an exquisite dish. You must be a remarkable chef."
"Oh, no, Threepio," Lelouch chuckled nervously as he shook his head. "I wasn't the genius behind this. Rivalz had these ordered on delivery. I was careful to take two or three boxes when he wasn't looking."
"I suppose you didn't come here just to have lunch, right?" Han said. Lelouch then said as he looked at Luke
"Not really I trust you remember the girl in the Glasgow the other day?" Luke widened his eyes, remembering seeing the girl when they were hiding in the truck. "One of the rebels. Why do you ask?" Lelouch then said
"Because I already found her!" That caught everyone's attention as Leia said "You found her already?" Lelouch nodded and said "Because she goes to my school!"
That made everyone gasp.
"Wait, wait, what?!" Han said. "One of the...Rebels...You had collaborated with..."
Luke then said remembering "Now I see what you meant when you saw her at school..." Lelouch nodded
"I take it you never knew each other properly," Leia said.
"Yes, but now I know who she is," Lelouch explained. "Her name is Kallen Stadtfeld. She's a daughter of a noble family."
That caught their attention.
"A Britannian noble?" Luke said in shock Han smirks "Now that sounds familiar hey Leia.." Said woman shared a small glare at the handsome rouge
"So, she's a nobleman's daughter... yet she fights alongside Japanese rebels against Britannia, huh?" Luke said, as much as it was confusing, it warmed his heart to know that there were more Britannians like Lelouch who did not like the Britannian Empire.
"Not only that... but she is a very good pilot in a Knightmare."
"Really, Luke?" Han asked.
"Well, it seems you found another rebel for the cause, Lelouch," Leia said. "Though, are you sure that this is the same girl?"
"I'm certain. Once I see a face I never forget that face, much less the colour of her hair," Lelouch said. "Although, I can't be certain...Not until I know what her motives are. Why would a Britannian go against her country?"
"Good point," Luke agreed. "But if you want to know... it's not like you can go ask her straight up..."
"No," Lelouch turned to Luke as he shook his head. "Which is why I'm gonna have to resort to using it on her."
"It?" Han said. "You mean...That power in your eye?"
Lelouch turned to look at everyone, who was starting to stare at him suspiciously, and he turned to Luke."I guess you told them?"
Luke nodded and said. "Indeed I did..."
Lelouch then said with an honest look on his face. "I really didn't take joy in murdering my own brother but he held us at gunpoint. We could have captured and if so, they would have interrogated Luke and he might have led them to you. You would be all rotting in a Britannian cell by now."
"Oh, dear..." Threepio dreaded. "I doubt they would have a cell prepared for droids like us." Han then said
"Calm down Threepio!" He then looks at Lelouch "And I understand you don't wanna cause a scuffle but you do realise what's gonna happen..."
Lelouch said while rubbing his chin "I have counted the possibilities,"
As he then said. "As of the news, there has been no announcement made of Clovis's death yet. One possibility is that they would want to prevent anarchy. But it will only be a matter before they do."
"And you plan to use it this time to do what?" Han said. "Build your little army? Like this Kallen girl? By using that eye thing?"
Threepio approached the two and observed Lelouch's face. "Captain Solo... I don't see anything wrong with Master Lelouch's eyes."
Lelouch then pondered and said having an idea. "Ah Threepio, can you take a closer look at my face?"
"Why of course Master but I don't see why you have need of-" Lelouch interrupts the droid and says as his left eye glows with the same red wing symbol. "Tell me your darkest secret!"
"Oh my!" Threepio cried out and baulked. "Master Lelouch! Something is wrong with your other eye..." Lelouch then said as his eye returned to normal.
"Just as I thought it doesn't seem to work on droids.."
Han then said almost cautiously. "Hey! Hey! Were you trying to brainwash the droid with your-" Han said before Lelouch said. "Come on Han, I was only experimenting the limits of this power!"
"Oh, no, no, no!" Han turned his face from Lelouch's gaze. "Don't give me that look, kid!"
"I'm sorry if you don't trust me..." Lelouch had a small frown on his face.
"It's fine we understand you, Lelouch," Leia said. "What you have...It is something that sounds incredible and really dangerous at the same time. It's very familiar."
Luke then said as he folded his arms. "As I told you before, a Jedi can do many things with the force, not only the Jedi Mind trick. I saw it when Ben Kenobi used to sway soldiers of the Empire to let us pass without answering questions."
Lelouch widened his eyes. "You...You're saying..." He held his left eye. "That this power that I have it's..."
Luke then pondered and said. "Not sure but whatever it is, it is a strange power that's similar to the power of the Force." At that everyone gasped, especially Lelouch.
"At this rate you're telling me that the Jedi were almost wizards in that era!" Lelouch jokes.
"Heh heh," Luke rubbed his head. "Well, I kind of get in some places as it is my little gift of getting into trouble sometimes."
"Heh," Lelouch chuckled, before turning serious. "If only I knew exactly what this power truly was if the girl was still here she could give us the answer.."
"Do you think the girl who gave it to you...Was a Jedi?" Leia asked. Luke shook his head
"I barely had time to comprehend it, Leia, however there was something hidden about her I mean very well hidden..."
"What I do know is what I intend to do with it," Lelouch said as he looked at his hand. "Jedi, the Force, Wizard, Magic, whatever you wanna call it I know it saved our lives when they should have ended on the spot. I won't waste this gift."
Han then said. "Don't tell your little goal to end the Britantian empire?"
Lelouch nodded. "I wish it were simple like that, but it isn't. Considering the limits there are to this power. Like when I tried to use it on Clovis but it didn't work a second time.."
Han then said as he stood up from his seat "Now I think I get it so let's say if you were to command me to do something small and harmless, you know, clean your house, get you a cup of water, give you a drive to a restaurant, and when it's done... I'll be home free from any commands you'll try to give me."
Lelouch then said while having a small smirk "You want to test that theory of yours Captain?"
Han then glaring at Lelouch.
"No I'm not betting with you I'm WARNING you! You may have earned Luke and Leia's trust but you haven't done anything to earn mine yet look I'm sorry for what happened to you and your sister but if someone like having this can turn any of us to serve as your droids yeah I know sounds silly but I had to deal with enough crazy mambo jumbo one galaxy to the next! If you have a problem with me and you decide to do it...Oh you better be ready. There is only one person I take orders willingly in my life... And that's me."
Lelouch however didn't feel threatened, just simply smirks. "Someone's got an attitude and I like that about and a good reason not to trust me that easily if I could leave but I don't want that I already made a contract with you so you're stuck with me whether you like it or not.."
He then looks at Threepio and Artoo.
"And pardon me if this is complicated for you. I have come to learn that the key element in battle is the human one. I guarantee I won't use my newfound power on any of you."
Everyone stood in amazement at what Lelouch said. Some of them felt a tad bit nervous. On the other hand, Lelouch sounded honest and made a guarantee not to use his power on any of them. That is if...
"If we are going to go against Britannia..." Leia said. "We can't do it with us against each other. So that means we are going to have to trust you. Just as we trust you won't reveal our location to the Empire."
Han shared a nervous glance with Chewbacca.
"So can we count on you...Just as Luke counted on you during Shinjuku?" Leia asked.
Lelouch almost froze as to what this woman this princess was asking him. To trust him. Putting faith in him. It felt weird. He then shared a glance with Luke, who nodded. He decided.
"Of course." Lelouch nodded. "I'll trust you...Just as you can trust me not to reveal you to the world or use my power on you."
Ashford Academy
Kallen was sitting down eating lunch with her friends outdoors, just a few minutes before the break was over. They were giggling till a bee appeared in front of Kallen.
"Oh! A BEE!" One of the girls cried out as she pointed at the bee near Kallen. "Kallen, run!" All the girls scrambled away in horror, with the red hair being the last to get a distance away, coming near a bush. Then, another bee appeared near her.
"I don't get it. Why is there a bee after me? Is there a hive nearby?" Kallen said, before her sickly persona dissolved and she swiped at the bee; it fell to the ground, its body sliced in three. "God, I hate this! I'm sick of acting like a freaking invalid!" She angrily said, before taking a bite of her sandwich. It was when she turned, and she realised a student was watching her. "He saw me!" The student kept staring at her. "Can I help you?"
"Yes as a matter of fact you can," he said, and he held up a com-like device between them. "What's that you got?" She questioned
"I've got a lot of questions and you're gonna answer all of them!" Lelouch said, activating his power. Soon, her eyes had red rings, and that signal she was under his control.
"Of course." She said obediently. "Were you the one piloting the Glasgow in Shinjuku?" He asked.
"Yes." Said an obedient Kallen. "Why? Why would the daughter of a noble family resort to terrorism?" "Because I'm Japanese. Though, technically I'm half-Britannian."
That made Lelouch widen his eyes. "Half-blood? But why go so far?"
Everyone onboard the Falcon to the conversation between Lelouch and the hypnotised Kallen through the commlink to Lelouch's. Now it explains it. A good reason why the red-hair girl was against Britannia...Was that on the other side her heritage was oppressed by it. Now Lelouch asked the next question why she would go so far with it.
"To free our home of Japan. To fight off the parasite that is Britannia. To bring to life the dream my brother, Naoto had. The dream he couldn't see when he was unjustly executed by Britannia."
That made everyone grimaced. It was not only justice for her people she was seeking...But also retribution. "Tell me the details of your organisation." Lelouch said.
Shirley was heading towards class through the hallways on the upper floor, until she spotted from the window Lelouch...Apparently talking to Kallen.
After getting what he needed, Lelouch thought it was enough. "Thank you now I command you to forget that this conversion never happened.."
"As you wish!" Kallen said before the red rings faded from her eyes as she stumbled back a bit and nearly fell over and had no idea what went down as she said. "C-can I help you?"
"Hey, Lulu! Kallen!" The two turned and looked above to see Shirley waving from the window above. "You know it's time to head to the chem lab! Better get a move on!"
That was when Lelouch realised with horror. "Oh, crap!" He put a hand to his head. "It's my turn to set up for class!" With that he ran off, leaving Kallen confused.
Lamperouge Residence
"Well, what should we do?" Sayoko asked as she folded a pink piece of paper, the maid sat across from Nunnally in her wheelchair. "He may be late again."
"I'll wait," Nunnally said. "He said that we'd have dinner again tonight."
It was evening, and on the table was piled with different coloured paper, with some of them formed into origami; some of them had been folded into boats and flowers.
"There now," Sayoko said as finished folding a crane out of pink paper. "This one's finished."
She held it to the blind girl, who carefully took hold of the origami she couldn't see. "A bird?"
"Yes," Sayoko smiled. "It's a crane."
"Amazing..." Nunnally said in awe. "The Japanese are so skillful!" Soon, there came the sound of the door sliding open. Nunnally knew it was her big brother.
"I'm sorry, I'm so late," Lelouch rubbed his head. "Hi Lelouch," Nunnally smiled. "Welcome home."
"Welcome home, my lord," Sayoko stood and gave a slight bow. Lelouch made a genuine smile. "No place like home, Sayoko. Right, Nunnally?"
Somewhere in a laboratory in an unknown location in Area 11 General Bartley stood in front of the very staff he and Prince Clovis had worked with. Computers were packed with research, and on the table was piled with archives gathered from the vaults and even from the homeland. Hung on the wall were straightjackets, and on the other side were two mechanical spheres, and just recently one of their kind had been stolen by the terrorists which led to the hell that was the day before.
"As you all know..." Bartley took a deep breath before looking at the staff with regret. "This project was a complete failure. Therefore, this research division is being gutted."
That caused the staff to gasp.
"Gutted?" "But...But sir...What about..." "Does this have to do with..."
"As you know full-well, the project was a complete failure." General Bartley told the scientists working at the laboratory, which was filled with straightjackets as well as identical sphere-like devices that resembled the one that contained the green-haired girl. "Therefore this research division is being gutted."
The scientists all looked in surprise. "Yes, but..."
"I've set up a place in Narita for you." Bartley continued.
"Move everything out there. While we may have no memory of it, the fact is the other staff officers and I left Prince Clovis on his own." Bartley began to look very nervous.
"I'm gonna be called out on the carpet for this back at home and... when that happens... if his majesty learns that this... this experiment gone on without his knowledge I..."
"Understood sir." A scientist said. "We'll start prepping immediately."
Bartley nodded. He was about to leave when he noticed snaps that had been taken when they were experimenting on the green-haired girl. Then there were the archives on the table. Several of them were pictures that took place a century ago. Depicting in black and white the same girl in attire at the time, running through a warzone. And another which took place six or seven decades ago...Depicting the back of the girl...With two robbed men wielding what appeared to be lightsabers one of them had a vertical cylinder and the other one had a curved cylinder fighting something or maybe someone...
But however the girl wasn't the only to be experimented on, a few pictures even depicted a teenage boy with snow-white hair also being experimented on.
The two siblings were at the dining table having dinner. The older brother cut into pieces a steak for his younger sister as she talked.
"Miss Sayoko was just teaching me the art of origami. Fold a piece of paper the correct way and you can make birds, boats, almost anything." She said excitedly as she brought her spoon of soup to her lips, but then it started to drip down her chin.
"Whoa, easy there," Lelouch said as took a napkin to wipe her chin. "You don't have to tell me everything all at once, you know. It's not like I'm going anywhere."
"Yeah, you're right," She smiled. "Thank you."
"You're very welcome," He smiled back.
"I'm so happy, cause last night..." Her face turned with concern. "You scared me a little even when you were badly injured."
"Did I?" Lelouch almost frowned. "Sorry, I was just a bit tired after making my way back home without Rivalz."
"Hey," Nunnally said as she held up from her lap the paper crane Sayoko gave her. "They say if you fold a thousand of these cranes—your wish will come true. So, if there is anything you've been wishing for..."
"No, not really," Lelouch said, but there was one thing that made him curious about it. "What about you? What do you wish for, Nunnally?"
Nunnally paused and started to ponder that for a moment before she answered: "I wish the world was a gentler place."
That made Lelouch smile with his heart. "When the day comes when you can see again... I'm sure that it will be."
"Really?" Nunnally asked. "You think so?"
"I promise," Lelouch continued to smile, although... His thoughts on the other hand told a different story.
'The truth is...There are very few paths our future can take. The Ashford family is sheltering us for now... but how long can that last? If our identity was exposed, even Rivalz, Shirley...They will abandon us. We'll end up as political tools, or casualties of royal ambition. We were very close to that path again...When... Clovis had us cornered. And yet... if he had not helped me. Luke... with what he had." He looked at his hand, and he put it up to his eye. "With what I have... I can change our course. And Luke, Leia... beings who look like us... yet are from the unbelievable. Rebels. And a spaceship of their own. Perhaps....They could offer means for sanctuary and maybe even escape from this planet if the worst happens...'
Lelouch then looked at his hand remembering the contact he had made with Luke
"Now look at me I'm a full fledged rebel that has dictated a board we have been forced to live for so long. I'm sick and tired of a world that couldn't be changed. A world that would make Nunnally's wish impossible. Yesterday... changed all of that. The girl gave me this power and then Luke enters the frame and the power he has is much different but very impressive. Maybe I can use something from them. Whatever it takes I will build a world where Nunally can find happiness..."
"Sayoko taught me this the other day. It's called a Japanese Promise. Cross my heart, hope to die, eat a thousand needles if I lie! Pinky Promise Song!" She ended it with a giggle.
"Well, that's scary," Lelouch smiled. "I might have to eat a thousand needles someday."
"That's right. So, I better not catch you telling lies to me, you got that?" She innocently warned.
"I'll never lie to you. I swear." He narrowed his eyes. "Not to you anyway..."
Royal Regime HQ
Argos enters what appeared to be a library he took a deep breath and then reaches his hands as the books began to fly off the shelf as this proved Argos was a force user as one special book flew over to him.
Then Argos grabbed as the book flipped through the pages to a very important page with a special picture as this picture was the green haired girl, Argos and two men.
The first one was taller than either of them wearing brown robes brown boots to match the outfit and a special hairstyle not native to Earth and had brown eyes. And the man beside the girl wore tan robes brown hair as well brown boots blue eyes all of them appeared to be smiling in the picture.
"I really miss those days when we were fighting side by side with you, my oldest and most trusted friend..." Argos had a soft smile while having a soft chuckle "Or maybe old friends if we're counting-..." But before he say the names of the men in the picture he heard Julius voice.
"Master Argos?" Argos was startled by it as he took out his lightsaber as it's orange blade lights the room to see none other than Julius Argos then sighed in relief that it was his apprentice as he turned off the blade. "Oh it's just you Julius, what can I help you with?" He said as he used the force to put away the book he was reading away while putting his lightsaber back onto his belt as Julius then said.
"I wonder if this is the right path I now choose to walk after you found me hungry and all alone..." Argos then said
"Are you saying it was wrong to become my pupil after your mother and father cast you aside because of your skills with the force and your dear old daddykins erased all your memories of who you once were?" Julius nodded with a serious look on his face he needed to ask the man who had saved him since he was just a boy it was a very special day he'd never forget.
Many years ago
It was a dark and stormy night as a young boy around the age of eleven was searching for some food to prevent himself from starving to death before he saw a shadow from behind which made the boy yelp as he fell on his butt.
The man holding the umbrella walked over to the boy. "This isn't a good place to look for food. What are you doing here all by yourself? You could catch a cold in this weather and die where are your parents?" He said as the young boy then said with a frown as he had his head down. "I don't have anywhere to go. My father kicked me out of the family and into the streets. I don't know where mom is and my siblings are either being controlled by that heartless monster or are facing worse punishment than me. I'm alone with these powers!"
He shows what he means by force pushing some boxes which surprised the man and impressed him.
"Your force sensitive!" The boy nodded as Argos then held a hand out and said with a smile meaning he meant no harm. "I think it was the Force that was guiding us together. My name is Argos Fullbright. What's yours son?"
The boy then said a bit cautiously about this strange man before saying. "My name's Julian sir..." As the memory ends.
Argos then scoffs at that thought.
"Ridiculous, they weren't just jealous of your abilities in the Force. They feared you. It's highly likely they didn't want you as an heir due to your incredible connection to the Force as he kicked you out of the family and erased your name from the archives thus destiny guided me to you my boy! That old fool just didn't want anyone with a proud ability to use the Force as an heir to one of his pets or even having you teach the force to your two little siblings and their little friend from what you told me when we first met..."
Julius then said as his hands became fist shaking with anger and hate. "Yeah I really despise that man for what that man had done to me and I swear I will reveal I will have my revenge for not just myself but for my siblings I will make them all feel the pain they went through..."
Argos smiled and said. "You have been well trained since the day we met little Julian and I am proud to walk this path as equals in our plans!" Julius smiled and said to his teacher.
"Thank you master!" He then leaves Argos by himself knowing that it was only a matter of time before they can achieve their goals.
The Next Morning Ashford Academy
"So How's campus life treating you?" Kallen heard Ohgi say through the phone, as the girl stood on one of the rooftops of Ashford. A good place to be alone so no one will overhear the person she was calling.
"It's Stifling," Kallen said dully. "I was stuck in history class yesterday. Look, maybe I should just head back."
"The army is on high alert right now even those Matrix troopers are looking for us. Stay there, and let things cool off."
"But what about the voice on the radio?" Kallen asked. "Can't go looking for a voice. Besides...Naoto would be happy to see you back at school."
Ohgi heard Kallen sigh, no doubt thinking of her brother after just mentioning him just now.
"Forget about Shinjuku for now. I'll be in touch."
"Alright. I'll see you later," With that Kallen closed the call.
Ohgi then looked on top of his cupboard... was a framed picture of him, Kallen, and Naoto, who was looking very much alive. The picture had been taken a year ago when they got to go camping to the woods, far away from the eyes of Britannia. Naoto loved hiking. They had done it more often...Before the invasion. Now... Naoto was gone... and his position of leader had fallen to Ohgi.
"Are you okay?" A voice said from behind as Ohgi saw the two hooded women as Oghi had a soft smile.
"Hey there F have you and Lop been doing okay?" Lop nodded as F said. "Indeed we have been, I'm glad to see you unharmed from the battle..."
Oghi then sighed and said "Yeah it was crazy I'm glad we were able to win that battle..." Lop then said.
"Are you still thinking about Naoto..." Oghi then chuckles nervously "Guess I am, I still cannot believe that Sith killed him and we were helpless to save him. I'm really worried I'm not cut out to be a leader..."
F then said "You have what it takes Oghi you need to have faith in your allies as well as the two strange men that helped you in that battle mind telling us how it went down..." Oghi nodded as he began explaining what down to the two Jedi.
In history class, Lelouch was asked to speak about the education of the Tudor Dynasty. "The aristocracy was highly educated. With such an emphasis on edification and training, they produced a superior breed of ruler. And secondly, they possessed heightened efficiency. Since only..."
Kallen could raise her eyebrows without turning to the boy talking. It was just...What was this gut feeling she was having? Why did the sound of his voice... sound so...?
"No, it couldn't be." Kallen thought. "That...That...It sounds...Like yesterday? At... Shinjuku... no... it feels awfully remote. He was...He was a Britannian. A student no less."
"Good. That will do, Mr. Lamperouge," Miss Kennedy said as Lelouch finished and sat back to his seat, and the teacher continued. "With the enthronement of Henry the 9th, son of the great Elizabeth the 1st, the golden age of the Tudor Dynasty..."
Lelouch noticed that ahead of him, Kallen had closed her pocket mirror down, with no doubt she had been observing him.
"I made sure she would have no recollection of our conversation the other day. Though, if so...Would she have any reason to suspect me? If so it could be a complication that may compromise things. Which means..."
"Hey, Lulu!" Shirley said to Lelouch, the teen now packing his backpack up now that the class had been dismissed. "You coming along?"
"Sorry," He looked in the direction of Kallen who was chatting with her friends. "Maybe some other time." That left Shirley confused. "You gotta go straight home then, huh?" One of Kallen's friends said.
"What curfew do you have?" Soon, they all fell silent when they noticed Lelouch Lamperouge approaching them, his attention focused on Kallen.
"Can I... help you?" Kallen asked. "You think you could spare a minute? I need to talk to you." Asked Lelouch and that caused all the girls, including Shirley to look in confusion.
"What is it you wish to ask?" Kallen asked.
"Not here," Lelouch said. "Somewhere alone."
That caused Shirley and her friends to cry out in shock.
Somewhere alone?!
Why would Lelouch ask... could it be... that he was asking out Kallen Stadtfeld?!
A transport drove down the empty highway, escorted by several Sutherlands. Inside, sat General Bartley, and in front of him was the closed casket of the deceased Prince Clovis.
"And the research centre?" Bartley asked the com next to him.
"Transferred to Narita last night."
"Right then," Bartley said, and the call ended. The general could only hang his head and look at the coffin with a sorrowful look. "I pray you will forgive me...Your Highness." He thought of the first he had Clovis, when he was younger and ready to take his position as Viceroy of Area 11. All the times they had collaborated to settle affairs and when they began the project. The hopes they had on what it could mean for Britannia. Not only were those hopes gone but Bartley's world turned dark when the Prince he swore to protect was taken permanently. He was never married or had children of his own...
But however he had sworn to protect Clovis with his life. He swore for the safety of all His Majesty's children. And now that the worst has happened...
Somewhere very far away were these men wearing yellow and silver armour wearing a helmet that almost resembles that of a stormtrooper this was of course were Matrix troopers loyal foot soldiers of the Royal Regime.
"Fire!" One of the troopers said looking though some binoculars as the other one fired the homing rocket missile at the transport bus that stored the fleeing Bartley.
BOOM!
The man screamed as the transport was now damaged by the rocket "WHAT THE HELL WAS?!" Bartley shouted until he heard the sound of the roof being torn open; he then stood up in horror when the roof of the transport was peeled off by a Sutherland; not one of the escorts.
"I hope you can see how determined we are now." That voice. It belonged to Jeremiah Gottwald.
"B-but I've already told you!" Bartley started sweating again. "That you don't remember? Still clinging on to that ridiculous excuse?" Jeremiah yelled as he got out of his cockpit "Just ask the others!" The general said, desperately. "They'll testify that...!"
"Ducking the blame? You're pathetic!" The margrave eyed the man with disgust. "You shan't remain at His Royal Highness' side another minute!"
Just before Bartley could argue he saw these Matrix troopers wearing jetpacks called Glide-Packers fly down and grabbed the man's arms as one of them said in a serious voice while glaring at him.
"General Bartley Asprius, you have the right to remain silent! Anything you say will be used against you in court!" Bartley's eyes widened to see Royal Regime's troops also here.
"
Where are we?" Kallen looked at the surroundings of the separate building Lelouch led her to. The interior was very nice indeed. A staircase that led to upper floors, several clothed tables, and glass chandelier at the centre of the ceiling.
"It's the club house for the student council," Lelouch explained. "They built it as a ballroom for various special occasions."
"I don't understand," Kallen said, looking at Lelouch. "Why did you bring me here?"
"Here it is!" They both turned in the direction of the upper floor, where Shirley held up a small data chip. "I found it! Look! This is it, right?"
"Ah! What a relief you found our lab data!" Nina thankfully said as Shirley handed her the data.
"Uh, good," Rivalz said tiredly. "My ass is killing me..."
Then the door slid open to reveal Milly in an apron carting in a wheeled cart of food. "Were you able to find it? I finished up on my end, shall we dig in?"
"Ah, wow!" Rivalz said with joy at the sight of the food. "Way to go, Milly!" Shirley praised as well.
Milly set upon the table exquisite dishes, salads, and a pot of stew. "You adore me, I know."
"Um..." Lelouch asked. "What is all of this?"
"Lelouch, don't you know? I thought that was why you brought her. We're inducting Kallen into the student council." That surprised Kallen. "It was my grandfather's idea, actually."
"The principal's?" Lelouch said. "He thought it best with her poor health, she'd have a hard time with regular club activities." She turned to the said girl. "Hi, I'm Milly, the president of the student council. Pleasure to meet you."
"Oh..." Kallen was still surprised by all of this. "Thank you, the pleasure's all mine." Rivalz, Shirley, and Nina came down to meet the red-haired girl.
"Hi, I'm Rivalz, the secretary!" Rivalz said. "If there's anything you need help with, I'm your man!"
"Kallen, you remember me?" Shirley asked. "I'm a member of the swim club. I'm Shirley Fennette!" "Oh, right," Kallen said.
"Um, hi there," Nina said, very shy to the red head. "My name's Nina."
"It's... nice to meet all of you..." Kallen said.
Then there came the sound of an electric wheelchair coming in. Kallen turned to see a young girl coming in a wheelchair, on her lap were two packs of pizzas, and on top was a plate filled with sweets.
"Shirley?" Nunnally said. "I'm sorry, but do you think you can set these on the table for me?" "Oh, sure, thanks, Nunna!" Shirley smiled and she went to help the disabled girl.
"Nunnally, what are you doing here?" Lelouch asked, making Kallen confused.
"This is Lelouch's sister." Milly said, causing Kallen to glance back at Lelouch and the girl.
"I'm still in the middle school group, so I can't be on the council yet." Nunnally said.
"That's all right," Rivalz said. "You're an honorary member in our book." "Hello, there," Nunnally said. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Kallen."
Kallen was touched by the girl's kindness. Despite her disabilities, she sounded very sweet. "Thank you." She smiled. "You as well."
"All right!" Rivalz said, and he pulled from under the table a bottle of champagne. "Shall we kick this off with a toast?!" "Huh?" Milly said.
"Champagne?!" Shirley exclaimed. "But we're on the student council, we shouldn't!" Nina said, now getting worried more.
"Ah, c'mon, loosen up, you guys!" Rivalz said as he went to uncork the bottle, but Shirley grabbed a hold of the bottle.
"No way!" She and Rivalz started to struggle for the bottle. "We're gonna get in trouble!"
"What's going on?" Nunnally asked, not seeing what was happening. Milly went to give the girl a glass of orange soda.
"Lelouch, heads up!" Rivalz yelled as he tossed the bottle in the air, with Lelouch managing to catch it in his hand.
"Oh, no, no, no!" Shirley exclaimed as she went for Lelouch. "You're not getting away with this either, Lulu!" Their struggle caused them to fall back, and the force caused the cork to pop out.
The cork went in Kallen's direction, but the girl quickly swiped it away, but she couldn't block the stream of champagne coming from the bottle. Everyone looked in shock, with nervousness settling in.
"What just happened?" Nunnally asked.
"Ugh!" Kallen grunted as she continued washing her body as she showered in the bathroom to get the smell of alcohol off her. "This is why I hate Britannians..."
There came a knock at the door. "It's Lelouch. I brought you a change of clothes."
"You can come in. I've drawn the curtain." She spoke. Lelouch entered the bathroom, and he briefly caught sight of Kallen's silhouette through the curtain, and he turned his head away, almost embarrassed.
"Uh... I'm sorry about all this. I know they can be a little over the top, sometimes." Kallen's silhouette shrugged. "That's okay. Nothing wrong with cutting it loose every once in a while, you know?"
Lelouch set the clothes on the basket. "These are my clothes, hope that's okay."
"That was fast, you went all the way to the boy's dorm?" Kallen asked.
"Actually, I live here," Kallen stopped at his words. "It would be pretty hard for my sister to live off in dorms. The principal of the school lets us stay here as a favour."
"Oh, I see..." Kallen said, but still curious. And then asked "And what about your folks?" Lelouch was about to say something until he hears the phone ringing
Lelouch then went over to it and picked up the phone "Hello, Ashford Academy Student Council. No this is... oh... It's for you." Kallen raised her eyebrows. "He says he knows you."
Lelouch handed her the phone through the curtain, careful not to peek through. Kallen took hold of the telephone and almost paused, before answering. "Hello?"
"Glad you're still alive, Q-1."
Kallen gasped. It was him. The voice. The very same voice. The very same tone.
"Is something wrong?" Lelouch asked. She made a peak to see he was there, and the voice on the phone. It couldn't be. If Lelouch was there... That meant...
"Sixteen hundred hours, the day after tomorrow. The observation deck at Tokyo Tower. Come alone."
"Who are you?!" Kallen then demanded. "How did you arrange that ceasefire order?!" Unfortunately, she heard the call end. "HEY! DON'T HANG UP!"
She pulled at the chord, which ended pulling the curtain open wide, which she was oblivious to. Lelouch quickly turned his head the opposite direction, almost feeling more embarrassed as it was.
"Did you say 'cease fire?'" Lelouch asked, catching Kallen's attention. "Sounds like you keep dangerous company."
"Oh, um..." She realised she shouldn't have said that. And now... "Let me guess. You're talking about a game?" Kallen widened her eyes. "Something online?"
Online... yeah... that could work. "Uh...Y-yeah, you got me. Because you know, I've been shut in my house for so long."
"I should have guessed that what happens when you're shut up at home for so long," Lelouch said, now there was one thing he better mention. "You know...The curtain is...Well, open."
Kallen froze, and she finally realised the open curtain, and looked to see her bare, soaking body... completely exposed for Lelouch to see, even though he was looking the other way. She almost cried out in horror as she quickly drew the curtain back, and bent down, crossing her arms over herself so tightly.
"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. Later."
Lelouch said, and Kallen heard the door close, meaning he had left. She had never felt so embarrassed. Her cheeks were red as her hair. And to think... that she had this gut feeling that... Lelouch was the person on the radio she talked to before...It didn't matter anymore.
"Glad you're still alive, Q-1." As the voice originated from none other than Artoo Luke smiled and said "Nice work Artoo!"
Artoo beeps happily
"Yes indeed, very well done, Artoo," Threepio praised his companion. "I couldn't have done it better myself even if I had tried."
Han had an amused smirk as Leia said to Luke
"So we now have a proper place to meet the rebels you've been telling us about..."
Luke nodded as Threepio then said " I'm not sure why Master Lelouch can't tell these Earth Rebels his identity..." Han then said
"Because it's hard for the kid to trust anyone..." Leia nodded and said "Han's also right it would be wise not to rush things and slowly build trust with them before telling them who he really is..."
Han nodded as he said "Yeah and we're gonna be meeting these little rebels face to face while His Highness stays at his nice school and do things behind the scenes?" Han asked.
"I'm not so sure about that, Han," Luke said, assuring the captain. "But on the other hand, I don't know how Lelouch is going to be involved if he can't show his face. He can't keep being a voice forever. Unless he..."
However Luke's cut as Artoo beeping like crazy as the droid popped out his antennae.
"Artoo?!" Leia asked, concerned. "What's wrong?" Luke asked.
"Artoo says he caught something very important on the news!" Threepio said, causing everyone to grimace on what it could be.
After changing into Lelouch's clothes, Kallen walked with Lelouch down the hallway.
"Beyond occasional paperwork, we'll sometimes plan school events," Lelouch explained to her.
"So, you mean like the Culture Festival?" She asked. "Yep," Lelouch nodded. "Along with the Cross Dresser's Ball, the Absolute Silence Party, and Swimsuit Day."
Kallen raised an eyebrow at that. "What's up with that?" "Blame our president," Lelouch almost smirked. "You'll be spending a lot of time with her. Hope you're ready." As they both walked back into the ballroom, they noticed their friends in front of the TV.
"Lelouch, it's awful!" Nunnally cried out.
"What is?" Lelouch asked. "Prince Clovis has been found dead!" Milly said.
"They're saying he was killed!" Rivalz said.
Both Lelouch and Kallen gasped, though for the former, he wasn't surprised. "So, they finally couldn't keep it hidden anymore. Now..."
There in front of a crowd Margrave Jeremiah Gottwald as he stood alongside some Matrix Troopers, some pure bloods Viletta, and Kewell as Jeremiah then announced to the audience and to those who were watching the news.
"Prince Clovis has been taken from us!"
"Peace and justice my boot!" Chewie roared angrily as he agreed with Han.
Luke narrowed his eyes at the sound of Margrave's voice. He recognized that voice. The same voice of the Sutherland that went after Kallen's Glasgow in Shinjuku. The one he had shot down before it ejected. So, this was what he looked like.
"He died a martyr! We must all bury our sorrow and carry on his will!"
The image of the Purebloods changed to that of a newswoman. "We interrupt this broadcast with breaking news. The man suspected as the murderer has been captured!"
"WHAT?!" Everyone exclaimed.
"How can that be?!" Luke said. Unless...No. He froze. Do they mean... Lelouch? Did they find evidence that they uncovered whose blood was left at the crime scene...? Have they...Have they come to Ashford Academy to arrest him?! Oh, no...
"According to this report, the suspect is an honorary Britannian."
The student council saw in another image as Matrix troopers were taking a cuffed Japanese youth away as one of them slapped Suzaku to shut him up.
"What?! No way!" Lelouch widened his eyes in shock. "Suzaku..."
Royal Regime HQ
"Private Suzaku Kururugi. A former Eleven and Honorary Britannian. I repeat, Suzaku Kururugi was arrested for murder."
Argos, Am, Shin, Karre and Julius all heard the news on a big tv on their headquarters.
"Looks like they've found someone to be the prince's killer!" Julius said almost having a look of pity and for some reason worried for Suzaku as Argos said as he looked at the tv as his eyes were not leaving the tv. "Indeed and where there is someone in trouble no doubt Jedi are not far behind after all Jedi cannot help what they are. Their compassion leaves a trail. The Jedi Code is like an itch; they cannot help it after all, sometimes their greatest strength can also prove to be their greatest weakness!"
Argos glared at the screen as if waiting for the Jedi to make their move knowing they couldn't allow Suzaku to die.
"Their move!"
