Chapter 27 - Good times
Haruno Sakura is 20-something years old, stuck in a four-year-old body in an alternate universe.
Which means, she’s very smart and very mature.
That is not to say she doesn’t enjoy the spoiling her family gives her. Because she does. It’s been a long time since her original parents treated her with kindness. Her nii-chan is the best, and she finds herself understanding Sasuke’s big brother obsession a little more every day.
(He looks so cool in his ceremonial attire. She’s attended her second ceremony, and it was as magical as the first. She’s eager to get her own blessing. Though she worries.)
And she certainly would never reject a headpat from Kakashi, as much as she tries to play off like she hates it. Obito is also stupid warm and not cohabiting with Zetsu or mind-control seals, so that lessens her concerns about the future.
So she feels it's perfectly appropriate for her to stick to the ceiling and hide when they play hide and seek at Sasuke’s house.
It’s Obito’s turn, and judging from the loud giggling and squawking, Naruto and Sasuke have been found.
Sakura giggles as the boys run out of the room they were hiding in, looking for her.
“Sakura-chan!”
“Saku-chan! Nii-san!”
“Well now… no one told me you could walk on walls.” A deep but amused voice says behind her.
“Kya!” Sakura squeals as Obito picks her up and they drop to the floor.
“You’re going to be a little troublemaker when you grow up, aren’t you?” He says, tickling her tummy, causing her to giggle uncontrollably.
Naruto and Sasuke come back into the living room, where she had been hiding, and tackle Obito’s legs.
“You found her, Tobi-nii!”
“Tobi-nii~!” She cries, laughing.
Kakashi comes into the room, Shisui and Itachi in tow.
It’s a good day.
