Part 2
The Bentley came to a stop as they arrived at the clinic. Elijah parked the car and then got out of the car. He then opened Peter's door and scooped his sleeping boy up in his arms.
Peter's eyes fluttered open,“...huh?”
“sshh,it's alright,my little spider. We're at the clinic” Elijah gently said.
Peter's eyes drooped again,as he held tighter. For a moment,the Original Vampire lost his stoic and reserved demeanor. Elijah composed himself, heading towards the clinic.
As they walked into the reception,Peter suddenly started to distress and clutched his head tightly,“dad...hurts!”
Elijah knitted his brows in concern,“what is wrong,my baby spider?”. He held Peter just a little closer, soothing and bouncing him,“shh...shh...whatver it is, it'll be alright”,Elijah gave his signature forehead kiss to Peter to calm him.
Elijah talked with the receptionist. She said that the doctor will arrive in twenty minutes,till then he could sit on one of the chairs with his son.
Elijah settled on one of the chairs with Peter in his arms. He was currently calm,his head nestled comfortably against Elijah's chest,arms wrapped around Elijah's shoulders. Elijah's hand absentmindedly stroked Peter's hair.
Elijah couldn't help but look at his boy,and think about everything in his life. At first,he used to think that there was no one in his life with whom he could let his guard down,with whom he could truly adore and love. Who wouldn't betray him like his siblings usually did. Someone around him he would automatically soften.
Then,in 1820,Marcel came.
And then, everything changed, slightly.
Marcel was of course like a son to Klaus. And of course,he had had a strong impact on Klaus too. But Elijah, despite being his uncle, considered him his son too. Marcel too, considered Elijah his second father,till now.
Then, Hayley. Of course,what could Elijah even say about her...love of his life,gorgeous,kind,loyal, understanding,sweet,brings out another side of the stoic Mikaelson.
Then his beloved little niece,for whom the entire family could burn the world for. For Hope too,he was a second father. Elijah wasn't even sure about being the second father. After all,he loved,accepted and protected her way before her own parents did.
Then...this boy, snoring softly in his arms. This wasn't his niece or nephew(not that he didn't consider them his own),this was his son.
Elijah was so lost in thought,that he didn't notice the receptionist calling him.
“Mr Mikaelson” she called for the fifth time.
“yes?” Elijah's head jerked up,“Extremely sorry for my distracted behaviour”
“its alright,the doctor's here,that room” she pointed to a room in the corner.
Elijah got up from the seat with Peter,and went to the chamber.
“May I come in?”
“of course! Please take a seat”
Elijah walked in and sat on the chair.
“could you please wake the little guy?”
Elijah bounced and shook Peter gently,“my little spider,it is time to rise”
Peter's eyes fluttered open. He looked back, his spider intsicts sensing someone other than his dad.
“hello,little fella!”
“...hmm?” Peter asked.
“He vomited before coming here. He was also clutching his head a few minutes ago” Elijah stated.
After few moments of examination,the doctor stated,“the boy has severe sinus,keep him away from cold as much as possible. Try to not let him swim. Vomiting,headache,these are common symptoms. He's an adult physically. So, I'd advise you to watch out for a severe cold,which will probably get worse and cause Bad breath or loss of smell,Cough which willoften worsen at night.Fatigue and general feeling of being ill.Fever,Headache,Pressure-like pain, pain behind the eyes, toothache, or tenderness of the face.Nasal stuffiness and discharge,Sore throat and postnasal drip”
“alright,thank you so much,sir”

As Elijah and Peter walked up to the door,Klaus immediately vamped over. Peter flinched,he still wasn't used to the vamping thing.
“how's he? Hayley told me all about him”
“the doctor said he has sinusitis. I told Hayley all about him on phone”
“I know,brother” Klaus said,softly gripping Peter's shoulder,“come on, young man”,and guided his nephew to the couch,“tell me a little”
Peter talked to Klaus all about his health and how he felt. Everytime Peter couched, Klaus's overprotective insticts flared and he went all daddy wolf on him.
After some time,Peter asked,“you don't mind if I regress,do you?” Peter asked nervously.
“of course not!” Klaus replied dramatically.
Within moments,Peter was sitting in his uncle's lap. Klaus gave his knee an occasional bounce,which made Peter giggle.

Elijah and Hayley walked into the room. Elijah was holding a sleeping Hope,who was snoring against his chest. He saw Klaus holding a sleeping Peter,head buried in Klaus's chest.
“now that is some sibling telepathy” Hayley quipped with a chuckle.
