Chapter 1: How Naruto learns to fall face first and hard
Naruto has an oddly specific, dangerous black hair problem…
And by that he meant Satsuki, the brooding, emo, genuine absolutely terrifying yet somehow stunning, gorgeous kunoichi who has taken it upon herself to left quite an impression in his blonde little brain…by being the most difficult awful human being he has ever have to work with.
“She is just misunderstood.” Naruto muttered as his eyes followed the trails of her kunai as Satsuki sparred with their sensei on the training ground. Her eyebrows constantly fusing, leaving the cutest wrinkle Naruto has ever seen, like a kitten, practicing to bite.
Wait…this was supposed to be a complaint!
But with those dark eyes occasionally glancing his way, looking like she was contemplating a murder, his to be exact… Naruto saw a mission.
Ignoring the way his heart quickened when they gaze accidentally clash, eyes a dark shade of onyx that held years of bitterness and pain. That’s cool, he can handle that. Because underneath all that anger, chilly, bitter glares, accompanied by sharp snarky words was only a young lonely girl that needed someone to have faith in her. “I can fix her.” Naruto mumbled again, more confidently this time. More of a statement.
Sakura, sitting beside him gave Naruto a twisted look, “Naruto, she literally tried to stabbed you in the chest last week.” She reminded him.
“She missed though.” He point out cheerfully.
“She did not miss! Kakashi-sensei just stopped her in time!”
Naruto shrugged off Sakura’s urgency.
The pink haired girl can only groaned.
The only obvious problem to Naruto is that Sasuke does not want to be fixed.
She is perfectly content with her shut-off, emotionally unavailable avenger with a superior complex and deadly arsenal jutsu.
But Naruto like to walk on thin fucking ice because he is constantly challenging her mindset. Which is why he is now in front of the girl, hands on his hips while grinning like a damn clown.
“What?” She asked, her tone as sharp as a kunai.
Naruto’s stomach immediately catching butterflies. “I want to talk.”
“Pass.” She said coldly, without even giving it a second thought.
“Ok, but just hear me out-“
“Get loss.”
“Just-“
She was already walking away. Wiping a sweat off of her forehead with her sleeve.
Naruto quickly caught up, running a hand through his messy hair, “Come one Suki, you don’t have to do the whole dramatically ‘lone wolf’ thing. We are a team, we support to look out for each other.”
“I don’t need anyone.” She scoffed. “I’m fine by myself.”
He then once again grinned like a mad man, “Well tough luck, cause you have me and Sakura now! And we ain’t going nowhere!”
Satsuki stared at him, ublinking. For a short moment, Naruto really thought he saw a bickering of emotions hidden beneath her pale face, she was hesitant, but something…something was truly… “It’s ‘Sakura and I’.” She corrected him flatly as she walked away from this meaningless conversation.
“So annoying…” Naruto heard her whisper under her breath as he smile, “Yeah! But you haven’t tried to kill me in the past days so…progress!” He exclaimed.
Satsuki stopped on her track, looking over her shoulder, “…Yet.” She corrected him once more.
He gulped.
“She is going to break you.” Sakura said from her safe distant.
The blonde somehow still has that stupid grins on his face, “That’s ok. I can fix her.”
Sakura face-palmed herself as Kakashi watched in amusement of his very adorable trio. And the way Satsuki’s lips twitched…which could mean nothing.
Naruto and his very unhealthy hero complex gonna be the end of him.
