The Hero's Come Back!!
Hey guys, we're back. This time, after a tough training session, the Hero is back, but something's different. A new determination and strength led him to ask Jiraiya for different things than just mastering the power of the Kyubi if he wants to save not only Sasuke but also the other eight people like him. We'll see if our blond has learned more or is just figuring it out. We'll see that right now.
Chapter 02 - The Hero's Come Back!!
Two and a half years had passed since Naruto left with Jiraiya to train to fight the Akatsuki, and in turn, to find and save those who would be his targets, the Jinchuriki, the name given to people similar to Naruto, people with Chakra Beasts locked inside them. At first Jiraiya suggested to the boy that it was better to just focus on himself and improve the control of the Kyubi's Chakra, but Naruto because of his eagerness to be stronger and to insist on others, in the end Jiraiya had to delay all this, although first of all he decided to focus on the boy's bases, which do need to improve, starting to polish the boy's hand-to-hand combat, the Genjutsu being more an issue of Chakra control would be something more difficult, so Jiraiya chose to tell the boy how to get out of one, finally what the boy was most anxiously awaited, the Ninjutsu, the boy if he stood out for something was the use of Shadow Clones so it would also be to polish its use and that the Rasengan uses it with only one hand without the need to use a Shadow Clone to support it in the Stability of the Technique, it was difficult but after exercises that polished the control of the Chakra either walks on more difficult walls and on more leafy waters, more pressures in The boy's body, Naruto was finally able to regulate his chakra and thus perform the Rasengan himself.
After that, the next step was to ask Naruto questions about other people's techniques and to try some variety at a distance like Sasuke had with his Fireball.
Flashback
“Come on, Ero-sennin! I've already polished the shadow clones, and they can do so much more. I can even do the one-handed Rasengan now that we're working on a larger Rasengan. But I really need more techniques, and ones that are long-range, not just melee. I need variety, and I need one that can hit hard from anywhere, you know, since I don't know if I can shoot fireballs.” Naruto asked expectantly.
“Hey, Ero-sennin, are you even listening to me?!” The blond asked, somewhat annoyed.
“Hee hee hee! That young lady looks very good and very pretty!” The perverted Sannin would say.
“Tsk… as always, it's a shame because I had already improved my Super New Erotic Technique, but on second thought, I think I'd better throw it away and…” Although before he could finish, the boy was stopped by Jiraiya.
“No, kid! That would be a waste!” The Perverted Sannin would say hurriedly.
"Then listen to your apprentice sometimes, and some of his ideas. Like I said, I want Ranged Techniques, and I want them to be good and strong. I want to attack either up close or from a distance, and preferably similar to Sasuke's attacks when he uses those fireballs, or what I've seen people do." Naruto would repeat his request, his eyes filled with excitement and energy, as if glowing.
"In short, you want to know a Nature Transformation Technique, right?" Jiraiya would say, leaving the nonsense aside.
"Huh? Nature Transformation?" Naruto would question, confused by the new term.
"Well, knowing that you were ruthless at the Academy, it doesn't surprise me that you don't know it," Jiraiya would say reflectively, while an annoyed "hey" from the blond could be heard. “Listen carefully, Naruto. Your previous training was Chakra Control. The next step is something much more advanced. Some ninjas do it involuntarily when they're inside it, while others need to work on it. Nature Transformation is basically changing and altering the properties of a technique, or simply put, and for a dunce like you, adding an element of nature to it to make a technique more powerful.” Jiraiya would tell the energetic blond.
“Yes, that's what I'm getting at! Techniques that use fire!” Naruto would encourage.
“And not just fire, you can use more elements.” Jiraiya would add, drawing Naruto's attention.
“In total, there are five chakra natures. They are the basis of Elemental Ninjutsu and are essential for any ninja who bases their attacks on them. Those five elements are Fire, Water, Earth, Lightning, and Wind. Each has its own advantages, but the most distinctive feature is that each of the Five Great Nations has taken its name, including the leaders of their villages.” Jiraiya would say.
"Oh, I see! So, the Hokage comes from fire!" Naruto would say, seemingly only appreciating that.
"...That's all you learned..." Jiraiya would say, sweating a little.
"In short, techniques like Sasuke's Fireball are techniques that use fire, just as Kakashi's Raikiri uses lightning. Do you understand?" Jiraiya would say.
"Oh, yes. I see, in fact if I remember correctly, in addition to Sasuke's Fireball and Kakashi-sensei's Raikiri, I also remember Zabuza's Water Dragon, that Weird Earth Dome that that fat guy from Oto locked us in when they took Sasuke away and that Cutting Wind or whatever the blonde girl from Suna used, I think her name was Terasi (Naruto refers to Temari) against Shikamaru in the Chunin Exam, although also “There would be that push that Orochimaru gave me in the Forest of Death and Gaara when I fought him, I think they also used the wind and it looked like slashing attacks.” Naruto would say, remembering opponents and people who have used elements of nature in their attacks.
"Ha ha ha! You see, you can think! "That's right, they used Nature Transformation attacks, each of which is referred to by the suffix "Release." I'm going to train you with it right now, since it will not only make it easier for you to learn Elemental Techniques, but also to be able to create your own Technique." Jiraiya would say.
"Huh? Create my own Technique?"
“That's right, Nature Transformation is one of the two things necessary to create Techniques, the other being Form Transformation, which you've already mastered.” Jiraiya would tell him.
“Great! I've mastered Form Transformation! Although, what's that, Ero-sennin?” Naruto would say after stopping jumping up and down with excitement and now wanting to know more about it.
“It's basically the ability to alter the form and power of a Technique, hence requiring enormous chakra control, the greatest example of Form Transformation being the Rasengan, which you've already mastered.” He would explain to Jiraiya.
“Oh, I see. So that determines how large or small a Technique is and how strong or weak it can be, right?” Naruto would say with a smile.
“Hehehe! That's it, kid! You're catching on really fast!” Jiraiya would say pleased, making Naruto laugh with pride. “In any case, and back to what I was saying, if you manage to master not only Form Transformation but also Nature Transformation, you will be able to create new and powerful Techniques. In fact, this will be your new job while I teach you Elemental Techniques.” Jiraiya would say in a serious way that would attract attention.
“What is that, Ero-sennin?” Naruto would say seriously.
“…Um… You must finish mastering the Rasengan that the Fourth Hokage left incomplete and add a Nature Transformation to it.” Jiraiya would say, still annoyed that the blond called him “Ero-sennin.”
“Wait, what do you mean by “finished” and that the Rasengan is incomplete?!” Naruto would ask.
"Although the Rasengan seems like a complete technique and is clearly devastating, the reality is that it is not everything the Fourth Hokage intended for it. Once he reached the maximum Form Transformation, he now wanted to do the same for Nature Transformation, and for it to be all in, but not all in one. However, despite his enormous overexertion, he did not achieve it. Hence, the Rasengan is actually an incomplete technique... but now it is your duty to complete it. If you do, you will obtain a new and devastating technique." Jiraiya would warn.
"Ero-sennin, do you really think I managed to do it? I mean, it was something the Fourth Hokage, a genius among geniuses, could not do. So, what could I do about it?" Naruto would ask seriously.
“So scared, huh? Well, the truth is, I don't have the answer to that either. That depends more on you, whether you can perfect that technique. But you know what, Naruto, you have two advantages that the Fourth didn't have, and those two are, a reference technique in this case, the Rasengan, and time. Although you know what, even though this looks like a difficult challenge, I believe you can truly surpass my previous apprentice, the Fourth Hokage, and I'm not the only one who believes that; there are people in Konoha who think the same.” Jiraiya would say with complete faith in the blond.
“…Good! This is a very exciting challenge! I'm going to overcome it! I still have a year to learn the Nature Transformation and then create a new Ultra Super Destructive and Invincible Rasengan! You'll see that I'll achieve it before returning to the village, Ero-sennin!” The energetic blond would say with impetus.
“Ha! Well, I can't wait to see it!” "Although before anything else, let's first look at your chakra nature." Jiraiya would warn, in response to a "Yes!" from the energetic blond.
End of Flashback
And from that moment Naruto trained hard to master his Chakra Nature, which turned out to be Wind and therefore use Wind Release, a nature that has an advantage against Lightning, but at a disadvantage against Fire, so our energetic blond trained learning new techniques and working hard on the “Ultra Destructive Super Rasengan”, until the long-awaited day arrived, the day to return to the Village and even more so there was time for a special event for the blond.
Present Day (2007 - June 25)
In a Town in the Land of Fire
“Hey Naruto! Look! This one looks good on you!” Jiraiya would encourage his student to put on a new outfit. An orange and black jacket and orange pants.
“You’re right, Ero-sennin! It looks great! And even more so since my previous outfit was a mess, especially because of all that stuff.” Naruto would say with a smile.
“Hahaha! It could have been worse! We could have exploded into a bag of guts!” Jiraiya would say jokingly.
“Hey, don’t describe it like that, Ero-sennin!” the blond would say, somewhat embarrassed.
“Well, don’t act like that, especially since you’ve grown quite a bit.” the Perverted Sannin would say as he headed to pay the bill for the blond’s new outfit.
And as they left the store heading for Konohagakure Village, they would address issues that had been on the blond’s mind for over half a year.
“Hey, Ero-sennin, have you heard anything about Akatsuki, and the others like me? I think their name is Jinchuriki or something like that, right?” Naruto would ask.
“Damn, you haven't changed at all by telling me that. On the other hand, as for the Jinchuriki outside of you and Gaara, who is the Jinchuriki of Suna, there's nothing yet. Remember that those Jinchuriki are the greatest secret and military force of any village. As for Akatsuki, I'll just tell you that, even if you've grown stronger, don't get too confident. They'll soon come after you and the others you're looking for.” Jiraiya would warn him seriously.
“I see... Although you haven't said what Gaara is doing now.” the energetic blond would question him.
“Hehehe! If I tell you now, it would ruin the surprise! And even more so since Konoha and Suna, as well as some small villages, will soon hold new Chunin Exams!” Jiraiya would tell him.
“The Chunin Exams… they make me quite nostalgic… although… I just hope… that no one else has become a Chunin… and that I’m the only Genin…” A worried and embarrassed Naruto would say, being always behind.
“Oh, come on, kid! We talked about this before! Rank doesn’t matter as long as the achievements are more important, just look at me.” Jiraiya would encourage.
“…That doesn’t justify a good sign…” An apathetic Naruto would say to his Perverted Sensei.
“Hey, what do you mean?!” Jiraiya would scold.
And so, while this was happening between the energetic blond and the white-haired Sannin, in the Konoha Village, several Genin were preparing for that year’s Chunin Exam and how they would pass the tests to become a Chunin. Some were eager for it, and others were not so much eager to participate but rather to organize it, or well, as long as they didn’t irritate your loudmouth classmate.
“Ugh… Why do I have to be in charge of the Chunin Exams? It’s such a pain.” the ever-lazy Shikamaru Nara would complain.
“Shut up, Shikamaru! It’s our duty! And even more so since Shino and I are the only Chunin of our generation!” His teammate, Ino Yamanaka, would scold him.
“Damn! If it’s already enough that Temari, that girl from Suna, is scolding me, now that you’re bothering me too makes it even more of a pain!” Shikamaru would say to his teammate.
“Oh, my! I’m still wondering when you’re going to stop that attitude! You’re supposed to be a Jonin by now.” Ino would finish, equally annoyed until she realized something and then changed to a mischievous smile.
“…By the way, Shikamaru, didn’t you tell me that Temari-san is going to accompany us?” So that's why you agreed to organize them with me, but especially with your dear Temari-san." Ino would declare with a mischievous and somewhat malicious smile.
"Oh no, Ino! Not again with that! She's told you this several times already! I'm not going out with her! It's already a pain to have a very angry mother, it would be even more of a pain to have a beautiful girlfriend who has a worse attitude than my mother!" Shikamaru would deny.
"Huhuhu! So Temari-san is beautiful to you, huh? Shikamaru is always getting more attractive to you." Ino would point out with her mischievous smile, to the irritation of the young Nara.
"Tsk! Give me a break... thinking about all this and now the Chunin Exam is a pain..." An exhausted Shikamaru would say.
"Come on, it would be easier if you asked her out instead of making excuses, but since you're lazy and also embarrassed, how are you going to be able to ask her out?" Ino would finish as they continued walking.
"Oh, man! This is going to be a pain, a very annoying headache! Just don't say anything to her, okay?" the Nara would finish, hoping his companion wouldn't do anything strange about the matter. Unfortunately, the Yamanaka would think the exact opposite.
Meanwhile, elsewhere, in the Hokage Tower, the Fifth had just received a message from a certain perverted sannin regarding Naruto's training and that they would be returning very soon, even better since they were ready for the Chunin Exams, which would be held jointly by Konoha and Suna.
"So, Jiraiya-sama and Naruto-kun will be returning soon?" Shizune, Tsunade's personal assistant, would ask.
"Yes, the training has gone wonderfully. In just a few hours, those two will be back here." Tsunade would say with a satisfied tone. According to reports, the progress had been marvelous and that the blond boy would be full of surprises.
"And to think that two and a half years have already passed so quickly. Several of his friends have been motivated by his example to strengthen themselves. Naruto-kun is certainly someone who inspires quite a bit." Shizune would say with a smile.
"And you say that, and I think there's a certain classmate who's also waiting to see him." Tsunade would conclude, thinking of a certain pink-haired girl.
Later that day
People bustled in and out of Konoha, especially as these days would be quite busy. However, the ones that stood out the most were those of a 15-year-old boy about to turn 16, and a very tall older man. Those would be Naruto and Jiraiya, respectively. Soon, the blond youth jumped onto a lamppost to get a panoramic view of the village and see if it had changed at all.
"Heh, what an impatient boy." Jiraiya would say, seeing his apprentice's actions.
"It's been a long time! This place hasn't changed at all!" Naruto would say with a smile, feeling nostalgic about returning to the village again, until he noticed something on the Hokage Monument.
"Wow, so they added Grandma Tsunade's rest, huh? Not bad." Naruto would say contemplatively.
“It’s good to see you again, Naruto, and just in time for the new Chunin Exams. I see you’ve grown quite a bit.” A very familiar voice would call out.
“Kakashi-sensei! It’s you!” Naruto would call upon meeting his relaxed, masked sensei again, who would greet the blond in a bored, reflexive manner, as was his custom.
“Sensei, you’ve changed us, hehe, but that doesn’t matter. I brought you a gift.” Naruto would say as he began to search his backpack and then pulled out a blue book.
“Naruto?! Don’t tell me this is…?!” Kakashi would say, amazed, incredulous at what his former blond pupil was showing him.
“That’s right. It’s the new installment of “Making It in Paradise.” This book is “Tactics for Making It.” Honestly, I found it very boring to read, but I think you’ll like it, Sensei.” Naruto would say with a smile, handing over the book of dubious content, much to the delight of the silver-haired Jonin, who quickly took another look at it.
"This brat! How dare he say it's boring?! Besides, I haven't even sent that new edition to be edited yet, so it's still very strange!" Jiraiya would think, annoyed by Naruto's criticism of his book.
After a while of talking about how Naruto discovered new things in training, as well as saying he had a new goal and that they would surely travel the world a lot here, just like old times, and an annoyed Jiraiya telling Naruto that he's someone who can't appreciate "quality literature," the energetic blond would soon run energetically to his favorite food stand, Ichiraku Ramen.
“You can see he's gotten stronger, though I wonder what this new goal he wants to achieve is,” Naruto would say while flipping through Jiraiya's new book.
“Simply put, it's to find the other Jinchuriki to defeat Akatsuki. It's a complicated task, and at first, I thought it was foolish, but after seeing his determination, I've begun to believe that maybe he can achieve it, although it will be a challenge to speak and convince people from different countries.” Jiraiya would say.
“I see… a rather difficult goal, but he's one of those who won't give up so easily. Although he must understand the difficulties in connecting different nations, he may also try what the Fourth couldn't.” Kakashi would say, observing his former pupil for the moment.
“That's right, that determination is what has driven him to go beyond his limits and excel. He has a fiery and explosive spirit, along with his strange but natural charisma. Perhaps I may become the key that can unite the world.” Jiraiya would say with a proud smile at his student's determination.
"But even so, I want you to take care of him, especially since Akatsuki will soon begin to move." Jiraiya would say.
"...So, they'll finally make their move, huh?" Kakashi would say, reflecting on the future and the danger of this mysterious organization.
"Oh, I can't believe it! Are you...?!" Naruto's voice would say, seeing someone familiar.
"Huh? Are you Naruto?!" Sakura would say, just as surprised as Naruto to see his change.
He had changed and grown not only physically but also in skills to become stronger and protect those he cares about, becoming a skilled medical ninja.
"You've actually grown quite a bit. In fact, you're taller than me." Sakura would say to her companion.
"You think so? I honestly didn't give it much thought," Naruto would say, checking his height. “U-Uh, Naruto… do you think I look more feminine?” Sakura would shyly say.
“You look good, Sakura-chan. Although to me you were already the height of feminine long before.” Naruto would say with a smile.
“Heh, I see you haven't changed in that regard, although I'm glad you're still as positive, Naruto, but don't think I've fallen behind.” Sakura would say challengingly.
“Oh right! The Ero-sennin said you were training with Grandma Tsunade! You've sure gotten really strong, Sakura-chan! I can't wait to see you in action!” the energetic blond would say.
“Well, luckily for you, you won't have to wait that long, brat.” Tsunade's voice would appear in front of them.
“Oh, Grandma Tsunade! I hope you're doing well too!” Naruto would say to the newcomer.
“As always, you're quite shameless, kiddo, although I also see you've grown quite a bit. I just hope Jiraiya hasn't taught you any of his tricks.” Tsunade would say to the blond.
“Hehehe! I couldn't tell you!” Naruto would reply with a smile.
“Damn, kid, don't go overboard with it either.” Jiraiya would say, blushing slightly.
“Um… as I said at the beginning, Jiraiya has shared your progress, so you and Sakura will face Kakashi to see his strength level.” Tsunade would inform him.
“Well, it's been a while, haven't you? From now on, we'll form a new team and go on missions. First, I'll determine your abilities and then you'll go to the Chunin Exam.” Kakashi would say to both young men, who were just smiling.
“So, it's the Chunin Exam again! I'm really excited! I'm sure Sakura-chan and I will make it this time!” Naruto would say excitedly.
"Yes, I say the same! I want to show off my progress and the skills of a top-notch Medical Ninja!" Sakura would say with similar excitement.
"Heh, that's the attitude. In any case, we'll test how much their skills have improved. After all, I'm also eager to see how much they've improved." Kakashi would say, looking expectantly at his students, before pulling out some very familiar bells.
"You already know what it is, right? It'll be the same test as the first time I saw you. You'll have to take these bells off me, and to do that, you'll need to have murderous intentions toward me." Kakashi would explain to his former students, who only smiled.
Later at a Training Camp
After arriving at a suitable location for the test, allowing Naruto and Sakura to demonstrate their new abilities, as well as talk about old times and other nonsense, the two boys would finally be ready to face their former Master.
"So, shall we get started?" Kakashi would say, closing his little blue book and looking at his students.
"Hehehe, this time neither Sakura-chan nor I are going to allow you to read that book, Kakashi-sensei," Naruto would say in a challenging tone.
"Or are you planning on finishing it right away?" Sakura would say, more as a statement than a question, in the same tone as Naruto.
"No... I'll have to leave the reading for much later. Besides, this time I'll have to start seriously from the beginning." Their sensei would answer, lifting his bandana, revealing his Sharingan eye, implying that Kakashi, at this point, considers them rivals to be reckoned with.
Soon the fight would begin. Naruto would throw a pair of kunai and shuriken, as well as place several Shadow Clones that would attack Kakashi, managing to pressure him. However, Kakashi would show why he is an elite ninja by managing to escape from the clones, although another pair would be waiting for him behind his back.
"Heh, you're certainly strong, Kakashi-sensei, but you're one of those who focuses too much on the enemies in front and neglects the back, I observed that." Naruto would say with a smile.
"Heh, not bad. I see you've improved a lot in analysis. Although you're still impatient, you've still grown quite a bit." Kakashi would say with his classic eye smile, then disappear in a puff of smoke.
"A Shadow Clone? Huh? Not bad, Kakashi-sensei, but that means you're close." Naruto would answer.
"So, Naruto, do you think it should be in the same place?" Sakura would say with a knowing smile.
"That's right!" The blond nodded with the same knowing smile as he indicated the ground.
"You're down! Sensei!" Sakura shouted, then punched the ground.
Under the impact of the powerful punch, the ground cracked and shattered into many huge pieces, revealing a panicked and confused Kakashi. Naruto, meanwhile, was no better off being in the same situation after witnessing Sakura's new and enormous super strength firsthand.
"Incredible! I didn't know about this new ability of Sakura-chan's! I'm happy about it! Although on the other hand, I'm afraid of her super strength. If I do anything stupid, she could kill me with it." Naruto thought, then turned his attention back to Kakashi.
"Wow, I wouldn't expect anything less from you two, but now it's my turn to attack." The Copy Ninja proclaimed, using hand seals and then a well-known technique.
"Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!" Kakashi would declare by throwing a fireball, similar to how Sasuke does.
Although the real question is... how a person who always wears a mask can use it, it is a mystery. What is not a mystery and is obvious, is that here Naruto and Sakura dodged said fireball from their opponent who subsequently attacked using water projectiles against Naruto and Sakura, although it would be a distraction from being attacked by kunai and shuriken, and even using Earth Release techniques covering the copying ninja, preventing Naruto and Sakura from getting close and subsequently being surprised by a Shadow Clone of their sensei who would be fighting both while the real one launched a Water Dragon at them and then together with his Clone, they would fight a Taijutsu duel where despite Naruto and Sakura putting them in trouble, the Sharingan would put them in trouble so that in the end both young people would move away from there and go to cover in a tree from their Sensei's attacks.
"Sensei is definitely very strong, and not just his Sharingan. He knows a ton of techniques of different kinds, and his hand seals are so fast he can attack us very often." Sakura would say after analyzing the situation.
"Yes, Kakashi-sensei definitely has all the best attributes of our classmates, including his experience. It's quite annoying to be attacked by his techniques, and he still has his Sharingan, which is a big problem." Naruto would say, seeing that despite the quick start where they had the advantage, his sensei was quickly able to read their movements.
"If we could get Kakashi-sensei to stop using the Sharingan, we could counterattack and overwhelm him with our attacks. Your Shadow Clones, my Strength Based on Chakra Control." Sakura would add.
"Hehehe, that gave me an idea." Naruto smiled mischievously, an idea coming to him.
“Even so, although the first part is the safest, the other is difficult, but if we succeed, we'll defeat Sensei, Sakura-chan.” Naruto would say confidently, and later, after telling the pink-haired girl his idea, she didn't doubt Naruto's idea and, in fact, they would put it into action as soon as possible.
“Phew… I can't believe I had to use several elemental techniques in such a short amount of time. Not to mention that I had to read Naruto's movements quite a bit, and especially Sakura's. If she hits me with one of those powerful blows, I'll definitely be out of the fight. Although despite that, I'm glad to see how much progress they've made.” Kakashi would think, panting slightly from the effort of his attacks.
Although his visit would soon change after seeing that both young people would take the initiative to attack him together and from the front.
“So, a joint attack from the front, huh? Not bad, but too naive of them.” Kakashi would tell them, confident in his former apprentices' tactics.
"Now Naruto! Say it!" Sakura would say to her blond companion, missing the silver-haired man.
"Listen, Kakashi-sensei! This is the end of Tactics for Doing It!" Naruto would say forcefully, to Kakashi's surprise and horror.
"What?! How?!" The silver-haired man would exclaim, frightened.
"The truth about the protagonist is...!" Naruto would begin.
To which Kakashi, in order to avoid being spoiled for the ending of the novel he had just started reading, would desperately put his hand to his ears to hear the ending. However, there was something that would prevent him from ignoring Naruto, and that was the Sharingan and its ability to follow and predict movements, a skill that is normally very useful, but in this one, where you want to know a spoiler, it is literally an ability that works against the user.
"Oh shit! My Sharingan is following the movements of his lips!" "So, even if I haven't heard him yet, I'll know what he's saying! I must...!! I must...!! I must close my eyes!!" Kakashi would think desperately.
"It worked, Naruto! Now let's attack, his Sharingan isn't following us anymore!" Sakura would say, seeing that Naruto's strategy was a success, who would quickly grab the blond and throw him hard at Kakashi.
"Good! Now! Multi-Shadow Clone Technique!" Naruto would say, unleashing a massive number of clones that would collide with Kakashi, sending him flying. He would then be attacked by kicks and punches from multiple Narutos, which Kakashi would struggle to shake off.
He would then watch, one half transforming into Giant Shuriken while the other half pulled out kunai and shuriken everywhere. All the remaining Narutos would then make matching hand seals and then say, "Wind Release: Gale Palm!" Multiple Narutos would say, propelling their multiple weapons at Kakashi.
Kakashi would look on in danger at the multitude of attacks, so he would dodge the barrage as best he could, which would still cause quite a few cuts and the occasional shuriken and kunai to be embedded in him.
"That was a wind attack! It's increased the sharpness of those kunai and shuriken!" It seems he was expecting me to do the Raikiri, so Naruto is of the Lightning Release nature, so I can't use lightning attacks lightly." Kakashi would think after seeing his blond student's actions.
But while he was thinking about it, a figure would rush at him, it was Sakura. Kakashi would realize that everything before was just a huge distraction disguised as a final attack. However, having had his eyes closed for so long and being too preoccupied with Naruto, he didn't notice Sakura in time until he was right in front of her, receiving one of the pink-haired girl's powerful punches, sending the Copy Ninja flying into several nearby trees, completely knocked out.
A few moments later...
"Ugh! That last attack really hurt! Huh? Where are the bells?" A confused Kakashi wondered, searching for the bells from his test.
"You're talking about these same bells, Sensei!" Naruto would say in a cheerful tone.
Soon, Kakashi would look in surprise at a triumphant Naruto and Sakura, who were holding both bells while both made the peace sign and had huge smiles of satisfaction at their success.
"Oh... wow, I really didn't expect that. To think you guys would manage to get the bells so quickly." the Copy Ninja would say as he composed himself and covered his left eye with his bandana.
"Hehehe, a ninja has to see through disappointment, don't you think Kakashi-sensei?" Naruto and Sakura would say in unison, still smiling.
Later in the Village
After completing that test, the three of them would walk over to Ichiraku and talk about how strong they'd become.
"Hehehe! Kakashi-sensei, we've finally surpassed you!" Naruto would say with great enthusiasm.
"Hey! Don't let it get to your heads that you managed to remove the bells from me. The truth is, I've also trained very hard to the point that I've managed to unlock a new level of my..." Although before continuing, Kakashi would realize that his students were completely ignoring him.
"People reading this, I honestly feel quite confused and a little downcast seeing Naruto and Sakura ignore me. And to think that they would love to know about my Mangekyo Sharingan and its special ability, Kamui." Kakashi would tell us, in a bored manner, as is his custom for us viewers, although, well, we don't need to know that either because we already know the power of Kamui.
“Ugh, give me a break…” Kakashi would finish, leaving the situation and going back to reading his blue book, especially so they wouldn’t try to spoil it again, so he would leave right away with the excuse of making a team list.
“Tsk! He left, and I just thought I wouldn’t have to pay for everything myself,” Naruto would say, slightly smirking as he checked his beloved wallet, Gama-chan.
“Oh, that’s… Hey, Shikamaru, Temari-san, and… Ino-Pig!” Sakura would say that last name with annoyance, then return to a cheerful expression.
“Look who’s with me!” Sakura would say, calling out to the three presents.
“That Flat Forehead, how dare she call me that?! And even more so, I’m in the middle of Shikamaru and Temari-san’s best part of their date!” Ino would say angrily, while the aforementioned two would blush at the blonde Yamanaka's lack of tact, until they noticed the other person Sakura was with.
"Huh? Wait a minute, is that where he's from...?" Ino would say, surprised.
"There's no doubt about it, it's Naruto! Hey! Naruto!" Shikamaru would call, excited after seeing the blonde after a long time.
"He's that boy who helped Gaara so much... I must admit, he's quite handsome now." Temari would think, though she would later deny any thoughts because she was at an... "Important Chunin Exams Meeting" with Shikamaru.
"How long have you been back?" the Nara would ask the blonde.
"Actually, not long ago, a couple of hours." Naruto would respond calmly.
"It's good to see you! You look pretty good! Although I'd say watch out for the Flat Forehead, his temper isn't the best!" Ino would say, popping a few veins in the pink-haired girl's face and making the blond laugh a bit.
"Hey, now that I remember, you're Gaara's sister. What are you doing here?" Naruto would question until he saw her quite close to Shikamaru.
"Oh, I see! Hehehe! So, you asked her out on a date! Right, Shikamaru?" Naruto would say with a mischievous smile at the Nara.
"Hmm. Not at all." Shikamaru would say dryly.
"Should you leave those tasteless jokes out? The two of us are just discussing how we'll handle some tests for the Chunin Exams that Konoha and Suna will be holding soon." Temari would add with a confident smile.
" It’s such a pain, but I was assigned to be the Examiner, so I have to argue with her, and she's the Examiner of Suna," Shikamaru would finish.
“Ha! What liars! I wouldn't say they discussed the Chunin Exam so much if she was then happy that Shikamaru invited her to lunch earlier! And on top of that, it was almost and both of them…!” However, before Ino could continue, she was silenced by a nervous Shikamaru and Temari.
“…So, if you're dating, you should just answer yes or no.” Naruto would say, sweating a drop.
“…Just! …Just don't say anything, okay?!” The Nara and the blonde from Suna would say, completely embarrassed.
“Well, leaving aside how obviously dating you two are and how bad you are at hiding it…” Sakura would begin, while annoyed “Hey!” from Shikamaru and Temari, plus laughter from Ino, could be heard.
“…Could you tell me, when will the Chunin Exam start? It's so Naruto and I can find a third partner.” Sakura would ask the three of them.
“If I'm not mistaken, it would start at noon tomorrow… the first phase, as far as location, won't be a problem for you guys since it's here in Konoha…” Ino would say thoughtfully.
“Well, while it’s fun to bother both of you, Ino, I’d say you should come up with a strategy and something for the Chunin Exams,” Naruto would tell her as advice.
“Huh! That’s not necessary! After all, I’m also a Chunin, and just like this pair of secret lovers, I’m also a Chunin Exam Examiner!” Ino would say proudly while standing in front of an uncomfortable Shikamaru and Temari.
“Huh?! You’re already a Chunin?!” a surprised Naruto would question, rolling his eyes.
“That’s right, I’m the third and last of our generation. The first, as you know, was Shikamaru, and then Shino, after completing a mission with his father, was later promoted, and then I followed,” Ino would inform, much to the energetic blonde’s surprise.
“And not only that, she, the Suna native, and her brother also went further and are now Jonin,” Shikamaru would add, much to the blonde’s even greater surprise.
"WHAT?!" Naruto would say, frightened, seeing how several of his acquaintances were already a rank higher than him, until one person he knew and connected to Suna wasn't named.
"Huh? What about Gaara?! What happened to him?!" Naruto would say, alarmed, thinking about his old friend from Suna, who was very similar to him in more ways than one, and hoping that everything had gone well for him.
At the same time in the Hokage Tower Meeting Room.
"It's good to see you back, Kazekage-dono." Tsunade would say in a formal and friendly tone.
"Same here, Hokage-dono." Gaara, the Fifth and New Kazekage of Sunagakure Village, would greet him with the same formality, accompanied by his brother and bodyguard, Kankuro.
"Let's get to the point. I'll talk about the true reason why I've reorganized the Chunin Exams." Tsunade would begin.
"Real reasons?" Kankuro would question.
"The first is to see the joint reaction of the Five Great Nations, although it will be somewhat complicated because, aside from us, the rest of the Kage have rejected the proposal. Kumo and Iwa were adamant, while Kiri isn't in the right moment for it."
"I can get an idea. Reviewing the data, I can see that stability between nations has returned, but some shadows have recently appeared." Gaara would say, reviewing some of the reports.
"Exactly, that's where the second and most important reason comes in... And that is to discover the movements of the 'Akatsuki'!" Tsunade would firmly declare.
And well, guys, that's how we end this episode, a pretty normal one and shorter than I would have liked, hehe. Here I've decided to show more of Naruto and Sakura's progress, while also introducing the New Chunin Exam, which, aside from being something much talked about in the background in the Manga, will be more important here. It could be that it took inspiration from several things from the Filler of the Konoha and Suna Joint Exams. Now, how will events unfold? And what things will happen?
Without further questions, I say goodbye. Remember to comment and give your opinions, as that helps me a lot in how to improve the story. See you.
