Chapter 63

- I see you're getting the hang of the bathroom. Which is to be expected from a girl from the Nara clan... Are you hungry? Come on, it's time for breakfast. - Kenshin said, and grabbed the girl's hand and pulled her along with him.

"Get out and slap him!" - Kasumi scolded herself mentally, but did nothing, and obediently followed the overbearing guy. At this point, she was angry with herself, and felt conflicted in her soul. She didn't understand why she suddenly considered this guy a close friend, and felt such warmth towards him , because he had just yesterday brazenly kidnapped her, and kept her locked up.

But her conflicting thoughts were interrupted by immense curiosity about the place she found herself in. Kasumi stared at the beautiful corridor, several doors, and the perfectly parquet floor.

- I present to you my humble abode. This is my bedroom, and down the corridor is the dining room. That's where we're going. - Kenshin said, not letting go of the girl's petite hand.

Kasumi was quite curious as to where she was, and where such an incredible house with its own water supply, and such marvellous finishes was located. She tried to think of all the nearby places where such a house could theoretically be, but her musings were interrupted by the arrival of the dining room.

As soon as she stepped inside, she immediately saw a long, swanky table with a group of sturdy-looking guys, most of whom she'd crossed paths with yesterday. They only gave her a blank stare and nodded to Kenshin.

Kasumi didn't focus her attention on the guys, but instantly shifted her gaze to the two girls sitting on the sides, right next to the empty seat at the end. The two girls stared back at her, and for a few seconds glared at the newcomer with a wary and unfriendly gaze.

The awkward situation was dispelled by Kenshin, who smiled, and said: - Here, Kasumi, you are my guest, so sit next to me.

Once the black-haired kunoichi was practically forcefully placed on the chair next to Kenshin's, he suddenly said: - Let me introduce you to your wives. This is Aya, and this is Natsumi. Girls, say hello.

- Hi, Kasumi. It's nice to meet you. - Both girls chirped with fake smiles, not wanting to upset their husbands, but not wanting to be friends with the newly arrived girl either.

- Um, hi... - Kasumi muttered, being completely shocked by this news.

"Wives?! He already has two wives?!" - She exclaimed mentally, and immediately felt an unknown bitterness.

After Kenshin took a bite of the perfectly cooked boar meat, everyone else started to eat their breakfast. Kasumi was hungry, so she ate too, forgetting her worries for the moment.

After Kenshin's sons finished eating, they silently stood up, thanked their mothers for the food, remembering their father's decree and not calling them "mums", then stood up, and walked out of the dining hall in a friendly manner, heading for the gym.

- Kasumi, can we help Aya and Natsumi clear the table? - Kenshin said with a smile, intending to ease the tension between his wives and the beautiful kunoichi.

Kasumi wanted to argue that she was a prisoner, but for some reason, in spite of her thoughts, she stood up silently and began to clear the table and take the dirty plates to the kitchen.

She marvelled at how futuristic all the rooms in this extraordinary dwelling were. When she saw the incredible technological appliances, she forgot her bad mood and began to ask Kenshin about the "refrigerator" or the bulky thing that washed its own plates.

Kenshin was happy to explain how everything worked, being silent only about the formations that were the basis of these devices. The girl realised that this was classified information, and did not insist. As a professional kunoichi, she knew the value of information like no other, and could keep secrets.

All the while, she kept glancing at the two girls' large bellies, but was shy to ask, and it wasn't until Kenshin sat them all down at a small table in the kitchen, and poured them a strange light brown drink, that she dared to ask the question that interested her.

- Um, are you pregnant?

- Yeah, we're both carrying Kenshin's babies. And we'll have beautiful babies for him soon, won't we, Aya? - Natsumi said with a sly, foxy smile, showing her neat little fangs.

Aya only giggled, and sweetly covered her mouth with her palm, agreeing with her friend.

Kasumi was shocked, and stared at Kenshin, who just shrugged and explained: - I love my girls, and I want them to bear me children.

He stood over both girls and stroked their heads and then kissed them on their kindly placed cheeks.

Kasumi suddenly felt a slight pang of jealousy, and wanted to give Kenshin a hard slap to stop kissing other girls.

She immediately pulled herself back, and realised that she couldn't forbid Kenshin from kissing his pregnant wives. Kasumi was full of contradictory feelings, and didn't even immediately notice the wonderful flavour of the drink.

- Mmm... What did you say this drink is called? - Savouring the sweet, milky taste, the black-haired kunoichi said. Deep down, she was a vulnerable little girl, and she loved everything beautiful and sweet, but since her childhood, this part of her character had been suppressed by self-discipline and paramilitary training.

- It's coffee. Do you like it? If you stay with me, you can drink it every day. - Kenshin said with a smile, using the word "with me" deliberately.

Kasumi blushed slightly, and shifted her gaze to the two girls, wanting to see their reactions. And when she didn't see anything, she asked:

- Don't your wives mind you kidnapping and asking another girl to stay with you?

- Honestly, if it were up to me, you wouldn't be in this house..." Natsumi started to say, but was interrupted by Kenshin's unhappy shout:

- Natsumi! Stop it!

- I didn't finish. - Natsumi said, and looking into her husband's eyes, she turned her gaze back to Kasumi and continued her speech. - But I respect whatever my husband decides, and I will obey whatever he decides. I'll even be your best friend if he wants me to.

Kasumi was shocked. Barely containing her astonishment, she endured Natsumi's stern gaze and only sighed, then turned her night-black eyes to Kenshin and asked:

- Why don't you tell me why you kidnapped me? What do you want? The knowledge of the Nara clan? If so, you can kill me, you'll never get it. - In one breath, the girl blurted out. Since everyone was being so blatant, she decided not to hold back.

- Hmm, you're asking why I kidnapped you? Well, first of all, you didn't kidnap me, you rescued me. And in the second place, of course, so that you could become my third wife and bear me children. - Kenshin answered without embarrassment.

- WHAT?! - Kasumi exclaimed. - Never! I will never be your wife, much less bear you children!

The black-haired kunoichi was in absolute shock and anger. Even her favourable attitude towards this guy couldn't extinguish all the anger that flared up in her incredibly strong-willed eyes.
