Chapter 49
On the 157th day, the next batch of blue sage was ripe, and Kenshin's sons and wives could finally afford to drink the decoction every day without worrying about shortages. Natsumi had been methodically teaching Aya for a long time now, trying to awaken her chakra, and with the consumption of the blue sage tea, things had sped up a bit. Aya could feel small flashes of chakra in her lower abdomen, but not enough of it had accumulated yet for her body to "awaken" and reproduce.
On the 159th day, Kenshin impregnated his wives again, but he didn't get his planned tenth level. Kenshin was a little disappointed at first, but he decided not to be discouraged and thought that he would definitely get a level after the Eleventh and Twelfth were born.
On the 161st day, a joyous event happened. Ichiro finally awakened another tomoe in his sharingan!
Kenshin and Aya were incredibly proud of their son, and everyone else heartily congratulated Ichiro on such a magnificent achievement. Throughout the day, Kenshin conducted numerous checks on Ichiro's second tomoe, and came to several startling conclusions.
First, Ichiro's vision became even sharper. His eyes were able to pick up even movements that his body was incapable of reacting to. He began to see chakra more clearly and in more detail, and his ability to memorise different techniques increased by an order of magnitude. Looking at Natsumi's 'Katon: Hosenka no Jutsu', he was immediately able to repeat that spell. Even though he was already 90% proficient, the spell instantly impressed the crowd, and the children born of Aya were eager to awaken their sharingan, hoping that they had inherited it just like their incredible older brother.
Secondly, Ichiro's spatial abilities increased again. He became capable of teleporting an object seven metres away from the target instead of the previous five, and he also learned to slightly change the degree of teleported things. Whereas before only the distance changed, but not the trajectory, Ichiro was now even more dangerous. When he threw a shuriken at the enemy's left shoulder area, not only could he teleport the thrown shuriken, but he could also change the trajectory slightly, piercing the enemy's heart.
Kenshin lamented the lack of a genjutsu master at his disposal. Natsumi knew only the simplest techniques for dispelling genjutsu, which was more than enough to make it difficult for his sons to be caught in an illusion. Since all the brothers were in constant mental communication, genjutsu was easy to calculate and dispel. But it was not possible to cast competent genjutsu thanks to the sharingan. Without a proper teacher, it would take Ichiro several years to master illusions on his own, which was unacceptable.
Kenshin also lamented the inability to use the "shadow clone" technique. When he asked Natsumi about this technique, she clapped her eyes in bewilderment and admitted that it was the first time she had ever heard of such a technique. According to her, there are no shadow clones, only spontaneous clones, and all of these techniques are at least B-ranked, and they are often only used by Jonin or the incredibly talented Chunin. After thinking about clones for a bit, she mentioned that it was rumoured that all of the Ninetails' jinchuriki were able to use a huge number of clones, thanks to Kyubey's powerful chakra, and the 90% take on the burden of controlling such a horde of clones.
Remembering that conversation, Kenshin mentally scolded Kishimoto again for his distortions, and took a deep breath.
"Of course the Genin can't use clones! Obviously they don't have enough chakra and abilities to separate a piece of consciousness into a separate body. The Genin's brain would burn out from such overload... I should have thought of that myself, not based on the data I saw on the laptop screen!" - He pondered, returning from the gym to the bedroom, where two beautiful girls in transparent negligees were already waiting for him.

The next few days were routine, everyone going about their business for the good of the family. Kenshin reinforced old formations and set up new ones in case of another invasion. He now had a considerable amount of knowledge, and was doing everything he could to increase his chances of surviving and winning a fight with even a few Chunin. Thus disorientation formations, auditory and visual hallucination formations were set up everywhere, and many pits were dug with reinforced stakes that were invisible to all outsiders, at least up to the rank of Jonin.
Aya was finally able to awaken her chakra centre, and became at least twice as strong. In her spare time, she learnt the simplest chakra manipulations from Natsumi, wanting to at least give her future children additional talent points.
All of Kenshin's sons trained almost all the time, and stopped drinking ordinary water, using only blue sage tea, and the result was not long in coming. The Seventh and Eighth learnt to walk on trees and water quite quickly, while the Fifth and Sixth learnt to use the fireball. The power of the Nakayama family grew rapidly.
On the 168th day, Ninth and Tenth finally came of age, and were sent to the gymnasium where their older brothers were now actively working out. A few days earlier, Kenshin had taken over the gym and strengthened it even more.
All the pears and makiwars had been strengthened by 5, 10, and 20 times, especially in strength and weight, so that his sons could train on them even with increased strength, rather than breaking them with a single blow. Ichiro, who had reached the rank of Chunin, could already break some thin trees with a kick, so the "upgrade" of the makiwaras and pears pleased him greatly.
Almost all dumbbells and barbells were strengthened and weighted. The heaviest barbell now weighed one and a half tonnes, and no one could lift it. The record for lifting weights was expectedly held by Ichiro, who lifted 700 kilograms without any problems. The eldest son's strength multiplied by his speed impressed Kenshin immensely. Ichiro was capable of knocking small chunks of rocks off cliffs with his fists without much consequence. Kenshin surmised that at his current level, Ichiro could smash a small metre stone boulder but severely injure his arm in the process.
From Kenshin's observations, physical durability in this world had not kept up with strength at all, but it was still terrifying. In Ichiro's current state, shuriken thrown by Kenshin from 30 metres away couldn't hurt him much, and only got stuck in his skin for a few millimetres. But the kunai strike was still effective, except that for shinobi of Chunin's level - the speed of ordinary people was absolutely not scary. In numerous tests, Ichiro had seen all of Kenshin's movements even without the sharingan, but Kenshin had no time to notice how Ichiro, who was standing behind him, was suddenly behind him.
The Ninth and Tenth took over the training of the Third and Fourth. Ichiro was the strongest and most talented of the sons at the moment, and he didn't have time for simple chakra training, so that responsibility fell to the younger brothers.
The Ninth and Tenth were a little upset, but Kenshin ignored the situation, and realised that sooner or later, as the number of children increased, a stratification in status would form one way or another, and not necessarily the older ones would be more important than the younger ones. He realised that an 'ordinary' child from Natsumi was no match for a child from a kunoichi of Elite Jonin or Kage level.
