Chapter 47

The Third and Fourth were also rushing at the enemy from different directions, taking them into a ring. Izao could see all the manoeuvres of the enemy, and realised that they were all just Genin. He calmed down a bit, and planned to deal with them, wondering in his heart who could form a technique with the strength of a B-ranked technique out of those three worthless Genin.

After a few seconds, Ichiro closed the distance with Izao, and engaged him in hand-to-hand combat. Izao was shocked when he saw his opponent's eyes, and after another exchange of blows, he jumped back and shouted:

- Weren't all the Uchiha slaughtered? Who are you?!

Ichiro didn't answer, and he rushed back into the battle, masterfully repelling all the enemy's attacks, while still managing to inflict his own. His opponent's speed did not allow him to find even a split second to concentrate and "spatial strike", so he kept looking for a pattern in the enemy's movements, trying to find a gap in his defence.

The Third and Fourth arrived ten seconds after the fight began, and began to help his brother. But their speed was no surprise to Izao, so in a few exchanges of blows, he sent them both flying, throwing the kunai with the explosive seal attached.

An explosion sounded, and an invisible barrier flickered around the two brothers, which barely absorbed 90% of the explosive energy, and 10% evenly distributed throughout their bodies, enhancing their flight. A few seconds later, the two brothers crashed into a large rock, and coughed violently as they came to their senses.

Ichiro wasted no time, and the moment Izao sent his two brothers flying, he instantly attacked with his kunai using the space, aiming for his heart. But to his dismay, Izao dodged at the last moment, and the kunai went tangentially through his chest muscle.

At that very moment, at Kenshin's command, the Fifth and Sixth made shuriken throws, aiming for the enemy's legs, and both shuriken went deep into Izao's calves, causing him to cry out in pain.

Kenshin immediately ordered Ichiro to retreat, not wanting to put his son in danger from the actions of a distraught shinobi who had decided to trade his life. He commanded the recovering Third and Fourth to attack the enemy Katon, and the two sons obeyed, bouncing slightly to the sides, shouting:

- Katon: Gokakyu no Jutsu! - Fifty centimetre fireballs appeared in front of the two brothers and flew towards the enemy.

Izao panicked badly, knowing that with his injured legs he wouldn't be able to dodge, and at the last moment he folded a few seals, shouting out:

- Doton: Shoheki! - After the words were spoken, two 20 centimetre thick slabs of stone rose up on his left and right. Izao used almost all of his chakra on defence, and clung to his last chance, knowing that surviving this night would be incredibly difficult.

Two fireballs slammed into the stone slabs at full speed, breaking them in half and destroying them. Izao, standing on either side of the slabs, was covered in multiple pieces of debris, and was still alive. But Ichiro intended to fix that.

- Katon: Gokakyu no Jutsu! - He shouted as he stood on a steep cliff, thirty metres above Izao. He poured almost all of his chakra into this fireball, which grew to a metre long and then flew downwards.

Kenshin, sitting in a nearby tree, expected Izao to make one more incredible attempt at survival at the last moment, but it never happened. The huge fireball slammed into a pile of stone rubble at full speed, immediately baking the hapless nukenin alive.

After his death was confirmed, everyone breathed a sigh of relief and headed home, collapsing exhaustedly into their beds.

For the entire 147th day, Kenshin and his sons repaired the aftermath of the alien attack. They reseeded the potato field, harvested the blue sage and planted a new one, reinstalled a pile of damaged snares, and of course cleaned up the corpses of the two nukenin.

To Kenshin's deepest regret, there was nothing on the corpses that could clarify the situation, even the metal coins were melted and literally fused into the burnt flesh, depriving the Nakayama family members of any thoughts of digging into it properly.

Aya and Natsumi had also expressed a desire to help, but due to their late pregnancies, Kenshin had forbidden them to interfere, only giving each a peck on the lips and stroking their large bellies.

He had a lot of work to do, and new plans that had come up after the defeat of the outsiders. He was going to rebuild the main formation on the entire perimeter so that even the occasional Chunin wouldn't wander into his territory. He wasn't sure about the Jonin, because he hadn't met any of them, but having met two Chunin last night, he knew that the knowledge he had would allow him to stand up to shinobi of that level.

So Kenshin went to work, deciding first to draw a small prototype of the desired formation, and then to set it up all around the perimeter at a rapid pace. At his current level of knowledge, he had access to a method of accelerated formation drawing, so the work shouldn't take more than three days.

For a few days everyone was busy with their own business, with no time for a long rest.

Ichiro, Third, and Fourth continued to train together, improving their co-operation. The two younger brothers lacked skills, but Ichiro was working hard to bring them up to his level so that they could take advantage of their telepathy to defeat stronger opponents without too many casualties.

Fifth and Sixth had learnt all the hand seals by now, and were gradually learning how to use the fireball. Ichiro himself had been learning "Katon: Hosenka no Jutsu" for over a week now, and was soon planning to master this useful technique that allowed him to release many small fireballs, preventing the enemy from dodging.

On the 150th day, Kenshin finally finished improving the basic formation, just in time for Seven and Eight to finally grow up. He heartily congratulated them on their adulthood, gave them a fiery motivational speech wanting to encourage them to train, and sent them to the gym, giving them their first workout.

Even without their melee skills, Seven and Eight fought their father on equal footing, and even slightly outnumbered him. They could take more blows without consequence, and fight longer than Kenshin. Their father, on the other hand, had good skills, but tired more quickly, and was incapable of fighting after a few missed blows.

After the training session, Kenshin tiredly handed the two younger children over to Ichiro and headed to the pool to relax his overstretched muscles. His two wives were lounging in the pool, happily nestled on either side of him.

Swimming was very much enjoyed by the girls when they were pregnant, so late in their pregnancy, the pool was the main leisure activity for the two beauties.

Kenshin immediately wrapped his arms around their waists, sliding his palms down a little lower, savouring their soft asses, mentally lamenting the impossibility of having "fun" late in the pregnancy. He knew it was possible, of course, but somehow he didn't feel comfortable having sex when the foetus was fully formed.
