Sister Monica Joan going missing was something that Cora had not anticipated, she should have.

With the Nun being as old as she was, and becoming as disorientated as she did when ill, she should have said something, but she didn't and now it was her fault that they were trying to find her even if Trixie insisted that it wasn't her fault.

That was until there was a knock at the door and Cora opened it, "Hayley? Ev?"

The sight of two of her sisters standing at her front door was something that startled the Doctor, especially as one was covered in blood, carrying a baby and the other dressed in her police uniform.

"What the hell happened?" Hayley let out a breath, helping Evelyn's and baby Daisy inside.

"Jackson has been arrested for attempted murder, he tried to-," Evelyn cut her off,

"My husband tried to kill me, because he thought I was having an affair." Now if Jackson wasn't already in police custody there was no telling what Cora would have done, she wasn't a violent person. She was a doctor and she made an oath to do no harm, but her family- they were the exception and if anyone ever hurt somebody that she loved she'd kill them without hesitation.

"Why does he think that?" Evelyn sighed,

"Because I finished my Nursing and Midwifery training, he thinks that I did it so I could leave him for someone else." Cora scoffed that it was absurd, and Cora was glad that she'd bought a six bedroom house.

"Alright well your home now, Hayley can you take Ev and Daisy to the spare room at the end of the corridor, settle them down, and then after your shift go to the nearest shop for baby things, I'll call Trixie to come and patch you up and check on Daisy." Evelyn scoffed,

"You don't need to fuss over me Cora." The Doctor shook her head,

"You are my sister and I will do anything and everything to keep you safe. Do you understand me?" Evelyn nodded reluctantly, and Cora retreated to the kitchen to make the call to Trixie.

When she did get there she barrelled through the house as Cora had a revelation, "Trixie can you stay with them, Hayley will be back soon with baby things, and Alex will pick up the twins from the sitter in about an hour but I think I have an idea where Sister Monica Joan has gone."

Trixie nodded quickly watching Cora grab her jacket and car keys, "Doctor King? What can we do for you?"

Cora smiled slightly at Sister Julienne, "Sorry Sister I know it's late but I think I have an idea of where Sister Monica Joan has gone."

Sister Julienne hurried inside, passing Cora the Documents she asked for, "What do you think Doctor?"

Cora let out a long sigh, "Elderly people especially when they experience delusions or...when they feel like they've reached the end they tend to go home, or their first home, the further back the better, if I'm right I'll be able to get there quickly, so you mind if I take this."

Sister Julienne shook her head quickly, "Of course not, I do ask that you take Sister Evangelina however."

Cora nodded, "Of course."

They got there quickly with Cora pushing the car to its top speeds, they found her quickly and were quick to make their way home.

"I've been living with Cora and Trixie, Cora didn't trust me on my own after your accident, she thought I would go on a bender, and she's had me at Veteran Meetings, on top of that."

It seemed that the Franklin-King household was one that was bound to become more lively, with Hayley returning from her training as a police Officer and Evelyn and Daisy despite Evelyn's reluctance staying with them, they were now a household of six with three babies and Cora was in her element.

"We really are turning into our own Nonnatus house y'know Cora." Cora let out a chuckle wrapping her arms around Trixie,

"It seems so, just without the Nuns, and the watchful eyes of God so that I might defile you in sin in peace." Trixie gasped slapping Cora's shoulder playfully,

"Cora MacKenzie Carmichael King, you dirty dog." The doctor shrugged chuckling deeply,

"What can I say, my wife is magnificent." Trixie quirked a brow,

"Your wife?" Cora nodded,

"My wife in every way but the law, but one day Trixie we will throw a huge wedding and invite all of our nearest and dearest to watch us get married. But for now you are just my wife, marriage certificate or not." Trixie nodded spinning around to face Cora,

"I rather like that title." Cora smirked,

"Good because it's yours always."

"So this is why Mum and Dad were never successful in setting you up on a date." Cora's eyes found Evelyn's as she smirked,

"And a good thing too, I mean look at who they chose for you." Evelyn glared at her before smiling, Trixie meanwhile stared at Cora with an open mouth until she heard Evelyn's laugh.

"I will never understand the King family humour." Cora shrugged watching her wife take Daisy from Evelyn's arms,

"It's the trauma, it makes us funny." Trixie rolled her eyes, bouncing Daisy slightly,

"She's right for once, as painful as that is for me to admit, when you have parents like ours well it comes with the territory, not to mention the catholic nuns- now they are the definition of character building." Cora pointed at Evelyn with quick nods,

"Exactly, those damn Nuns traumatised all 12 of us, how are the others?" Evelyn shrugged,

"I don't know, last I heard James was on a ship in the middle of the Atlantic and Delilah had just married a Duke but that's about it." Cora shrugged,

"That's more than I'm told, as long as they don't turn up here, I'd have to buy a bigger house. Mum and Dad really did take the be fruitful and multiply a bit literally."
