Donna pov a week later

Following Nova to the grave yard at night I glance around before seeing her start opening my parents empty grave "what are you doing?" I whisper nervously.

Seeing it tumbling open she frowns looking at the body tossed in "Donna who's in here?"

"My gardener" I mutter frowning.

I watch as she pulls him out before placing bones in "who is that?" I hiss.

"I'm assuming your parents, a man and woman who I found in the cave" she answers quickly placing the next.

"Now where's your sister?" She asks.

"At the property I moved her there"

She nods closing it up while looking around "last name or family?"

I point and see her gathering him up before quickly placing him in the crypt meant for him "mother's noticed you're not in the village and Luisa has gotten upset thinking you were taken to the castle".

Nova nods closing his up before leading me back to the house "I've spent days cleaning your home, I'll have to go to the village soon for wallpaper to fix your walls" she says smiling at me.

"I'm almost finished with the clothes for the orphans" I say quickly.

"meravigliosa, we can place the note with it, I'll even wear that outfit with your house crest and say I'm working for you" Nova says walking backwards to face me.

Why haven't the lycans came around lately?" I ask changing the subject feeling embarrassed.

"I started attacking them I guess they decided I'd set a boundary for them after so many got hurt, they're not smart but have enough instincts to recognize danger"

Getting across my bridge to head home I see her smile at me "see nothing to terrible going out, when you're ready we'll try again when a few people will be out and can return if it's to much".

Nodding I watch as she heads to the kitchen before coming back with my reward "apples slices and Carmel dip" she says sitting it down on the table for me.

Hearing pounding on the door I tense up looking at Nova "it's Mother" grabbing her hand I pull her to the bedroom shutting her in before running to the door just as it opens.

I stand in the shadows with my hands together in front of me "Donna" she calls coming in.

Seeing her look around I watch her tilt her head at the room "is this why you're avoiding company or speaking to anyone?" She asks.

I stay silent as she looks at me "it's wonderful you're cleaning up but you can't keep pulling away from us, we're worried you're going to get lost in your mind again, and now that outsider has vanished we can't locate her, Alcina and Eva almost stormed over believing she's attacked you".

"I'll call them mother" I finally whisper.

She nods walking around checking the rooms "since you've let me in without a fight, do you want to have another try at cooking lessons we could do something together" Mother offers.

Panicking slightly I stutter trying to figure out what to say "Donna did you make this?" She calls.

Turning I see her looking at my reward "no someone else did".

Seeing Mother look at me I step back into the shadows ducking my head down nervously "Donna, I'm trying but I don't know what you want or need from me, just tell me so we can work on it" Mother sighs.

Biting my lip I shrug, I'm can't open up to her I've never been able to since my rebirth, the way she looked at me when it messed up my face, I never wanted to see that look again but more often they all look frustrated or tired of me staying back, they won't look at me if my face is uncovered.

Nova didn't seem fazed when she seen it and on harder days she doesn't expect me to speak or anything she just sits by me, if I cry she holds me, she even fought off my powers while I had a nightmare to reach me, I know it effected her but she stayed calm and managed to push past it to help me.

Glancing at the room she's been setting up I nervously shift in place trying to figure out what to say but mother sighs before I can "fine I'll go" she says sounding disappointed with me.

Watching her leave I shake slightly pressing my back closer to the wall to keep myself up, I always disappoint everyone, it's only a matter of time before Nova gets tired of me and leaves.
