Singing along with

AU Radio

Mito looked at the passenger seat and smiled at the sight. Tobirama was leaning against the window with his eyes closed. They were currently on the highway, driving back to Konoha. Hashirama had sent him to a business meeting in Kiri on Friday and offered him the use of his private jet. But instead, Tobirama had invited her over for a weekend.

Honestly, Mito had been surprised by the offer. Between her old college homework and now their two crazy schedules, they had only managed to go on four successful dates. However, Mito, not one to back down from a challenge, had accepted the invitation. And it had been a fun weekend. She spent Friday at the beach, where Tobirama had joined her after the meeting, and then they would spend the weekend visiting the tourist sites.

Mito laughed as she remembered Tobirama whispering in her ear that the moon looked peaceful that night.

Tobirama shifted slightly, and Mito's smile widened. This weekend was far from a guarantee that they would make this relationship work long-term. But it had shown her that they could spend more than a few hours together without arguing, and she could relax a little.

Besides, Tobirama had proven himself the perfect gentleman. Despite the fact that his hotel room only had a double bed, he hadn't made any move until she asked him if he planned to spend the entire weekend sleeping with his hands on the sheets.

Mito reached out and turned on the radio to fill the silence in the car. Tobirama didn't even react, and she snorted at the fact that he'd fallen asleep. Although she could see it as a compliment, since he was driving her truck.

As he drove, Mito began humming along with the music. When Chayanne appeared, he began singing along with Torero. The last notes faded into Chino and Nacho's next song, while Mito smiled.

“Just now?” Tobirama’s voice sounded and Mito jumped.

“How long have you been awake?” he demanded.

"I never went to sleep," Tobriama smiled. He laughed when Mito turned beet red. "Because of you, I've become a poet, I've already filled a thousand pages," he sang along with the new song.

Now it was Mito's turn to laugh as Tobirama swayed beside her.

“Eyes on the road, Uzumaki,” Tobirama warned with a slight smile.

The rest of the way home they had fun together singing along with the radio, sometimes very off-key.
