YNs pov
Were all laughing at lunch when I notice Luna at Ravenclaw table alone. I stand up using Enzo's shoulder as support.
“Where are you heading Darling?” He asks sweetly, his hand holding me so I could get off the bench easier.
“Just to see my friend, don't worry. I'll be back.” I convince Enzo and he lets go of my waist and I'm about to walk off to Luna when I quickly turn around and tickle Enzo's sides from behind. He instantly starts laughing and squirming and the whole of the hall is staring at him. I quickly run away before he can chase after me. I silently slide myself into the seat beside Luna and kick my feet up and lay down on the bench, resting my head in her lap.
“Morning my Lovely Lovegood.” I smile up at her from her lap and she looks down at me with a smile so wide on her face. She pushes me out of her lap and grabs me and squeezes like Harry did on the train.
“Whatcha doing LuLu?” I ask her, she leans back and makes eye contact with me.
“It's a hug YNN, I'm hugging you. It's a good thing, it's kind of like me saying I love you.” She explains as she “hugs” me. I wrap my arms around her and hug her back. Now that I know the meaning of it I let myself sink into her arms and robes. She lets go and I rest my head in her lap again, laying down on the bench as she continues eating.
“You know, I stopped eating when I came over here and I wasn't even able to have desert ye-” I'm shut up when she drops a pumpkin pastie into my mouth and I chew it through a smile. When Luna looks down to see me with my cheeks stuffed and crumbs all over my lips she starts laughing and forces me to sit up and drink some of her juice so as not to choke she says.
“Yes mom.” I say obediently and down her cup. She laughs before kissing me on the cheek and telling me to go back to my table. It's almost the third period and me and Neville have to find Hagrid. I slowly make my way back to my table sneaking around Enzo and going onto the bench across from him popping my face onto Pansys shoulder. Unfortunately he notices almost immediately.
“YN, YMN, YLN, I’m getting you back for this, mark my words.” He whispers threateningly but I don't even take him half seriously and just laugh as I reach over and mess up his hair.
“Sure Enzo, thanks for the middle name exposure, that was supposed to be confidential.” I complain, smiling when I see how apologetic he looks now.
“Relax you big loon, I'm joking.” I say and I hear a few people laughing as he scowls at me. I lean into Pansy, interrupting her conversation with Draco and Blaise.
“Ive got to go now, I have to find Neville and then somehow find Hagrid.” I muttered in her ear. She reaches over grabbing my hand with one of her own and messing up my hair with her other. I shake her hand away from my head and she lets me go.
“Bye guys!” I holler as I walk away, a chorus of byes sounding from behind me. I walk over to the Gryffindor table and see Neville sitting near Harry, Ron and Hermione, or the Golden Trio as Draco likes to call them. I walk over and run my fingers through Hermione's long hair before making my way next to Neville.
“Hey Nev, we gotta scurry off and find Hagrid.” I explain as I sit next to him and grab a sandwich off his plate. The two people sitting in front of Neville look at me with their mouths agape. I look over at Neville and see him rolling his eyes.
“Seamus, Dean.” He says pointing to the boy with buzzed brown hair and pale skin and then pointing to the other boy with short black hair and dark skin.
“YN.” I say with a smile before turning back to Neville.
“We really have to leave now though, if we want to find him and have the whole period to work on the project.” I explain again and this time he makes a move to stand up, waving to his friends. We walk together but I feel a hand around my wrist and look down to see Harry holding my hand and looking up at me.
“You need to find Hagrid you say?” He recounts what I said to Neville and looks at his friends, they each have a knowing smile on their lips, what am I missing here?
“We know where he is, we'll help you find him.” Ron says, causing me to look at him and I give him a smile of gratitude.
“Thank you guys so much, get up, let's go.” I say tugging harry up by the hand that's still in mine. They all stand up and we walk out the hall together with Harry in the lead.
We're walking out of the castle and I again start subtly implying that my feet hurt and Ron wastes no time bending down and letting me on his back. We walk like that the rest of the way, me on Rons back, Neville and Hermione talking about studies and all of us laughing as we walk up to a hut.
“Hagrid lives here.” Harry says as we near the door. I hop off Rons back giving him a noogie and walking up the path with Neville.
“Thank you Harry! Remind me to pay you back for this one day.” I exclaim and give him one of those hugs LuLu gave me. The three of them run off towards the castle for their next class and Neville and I go to knock on the door when it bursts open and a tall man with a thick beard is at the entrance.
“Yer must be the fellars Sprout sent me for the planty potion things ain't ya?” He asks in a thick accent and a smile.
“Yep, that's us.” I reply with a smile just as big. He pats my shoulder and leads me and Neville inside.

“I can't believe we have to make a vomiting solution for an animal the size of an Elephant, a cooling solution for dragon fire burns AND the serum for tranquilizer darts powerful enough to take down a giant.” Neville exclaimed when we made our way to the library after talking to Hagrid. His hands are in his hair and he's gonna start pulling them out in patches soon.
“Hear me out Neville, I'm good at making cooling solutions so I'll just make that and amplify it somehow. You said when we first met that you accidentally made something that made you puke for hours on end, just try making that again and we can work together on the night night juice. We'll share what the other makes and how they make it so in the future we can do it on our own.” I explain my very well thought out idea with confidence.
“Deal?” I ask.
“Deal.” He replies and we both pull out our notebooks and start writing.
