YNs pov
I hear the door to the booth open and I immediately open my eyes expecting the worst. Instead it's just an old lady with a cart in front of her filled to the brim with snacks
“Anything from the trolley dears?” She asks in a sweet voice. I look beside me at The Brown Eyed Boy, he's still sleeping and he had turned over an hour ago so he's now facing me. I fell asleep just watching his chest rise and fall as he breathed and admiring the curls that cover his forehead.
I push the curls out of his eyes and put my hand on his arm and slowly shake him.
“Hey, do you want a snack?” I whisper in his ear as I shake him awake. He slowly awakens and jumps back when he realizes how close my face was to his. When I realize it I jump back too. I start profusely apologizing and explaining she was here with snacks and gesturing over to the lady.
He smiles widely as he looks at the treats and pulls out 20 galleons and gets 2 chocolate frogs, 2 pumpkin pasties and a Liquorice wand. The lady turns to me and I apologize saying I have nothing to pay with. She smiles and closes the door and trudges her cart to Harry and Ron's booth.
I can feel eyes on the back of my head but I'm too embarrassed to look at The Brown Eyed Boy that's sitting not even a foot away from me. It's not like my family doesn't have the money for me to buy something, they just don't give me any. I knew about the snack trolley and had told my parents about it and asked for a few galleons but all they had done was told me off and kicked me in my gut. I left the room wheezing and saw as my mom and dad went right back to their lunch as if nothing had happened.
A tap on my shoulder pulls me out of my trance and I quickly turn around to see an outstretched hand with one of the chocolate frogs on it.
“I got too much for just me anyways.” He explains and I look over to see those brown eyes staring into mine and a small smile on his face which makes me want to talk to him. To hang out with him. To get to know him.
“Plus, I saw you eyeing them when the lady was here.” He explains further, curving his lips into a smirk as he again offers his hand with the chocolate on it to me.
I take the chocolate with what I hope looks like a grateful smile on my face and open it up. All of a sudden a frog jumps out and latches right onto my face. I scream and the frog hops off my face and right out the booth's doors window.
Omg, I just lost this boy's Chocolate, I hope he doesn't kick me out of the booth for it. God, I'm an idiot. I turn around slowly out of fear that The Brown Eyed Boy would hit me or worse for losing the chocolate he paid for. He looks really strong and I'm sure one punch to the face will knock me out.
As I'm turning the boy behind me starts cackling so loud I'm sure people at the front of the train could hear him. He's laughing so hard that he's holding his belly and tears are coming out of eyes. His laughter is contagious and soon I'm laughing and I'm holding his shoulder for support and his hands on my knee for support as well and we're both looking at each other. Our laughter dies down and were still in that position, me holding his shoulder, his hand on my knee and the both of us just staring at the other.
He leans in and all of a sudden his face is just a few inches away from mine and I think he's gonna kiss me. I think if he did, I would kiss him back and that's the scariest bit of it all. Somehow our lips are barely a centimeter apart and I can feel his hot breath on my face, slowly I lean in and our lips brush against each other.
“Have any of you seen a toad, my friend Neville lost his on the train.” A bushy haired girl says as she slams open the door to our booth. I jump away from The Brown Eyed Boy at the same time he jumps away from me.
“No, I'm sorry I haven't seen it, but you know what, let me help you look for it.” I say quickly, rising from my seat and grabbing the girl's hand and shutting the booth door behind me. I look through the window to catch a quick glance of the beautiful boy I almost kissed and remember what just happened and how he probably thinks I'm such a weirdo. I haven't walked away from something faster.
“This is the last compartment for me to check, you wanna come with me?” The bushy haired girl asks me. She points at Harry and Ron's booth.
“Sure!” I reply with a smile, maybe she could be my new friend for the school year.
“I'm YN by the way.” I say trying to sound friendly and approachable. I stick my hand out to her and she grabs it and shakes it.
“Hermione.” The bushy haired girl replies. She then turns and walks to Harry's booth. She opens their door and says the same thing to them that she did to me. She looks at Harry and walks into the booth and fixes his glasses. I stay outside the booth and I'm about to walk away and hopefully find an empty booth when Hermione looks my way and waves me in while patting the seat beside her. I walk in smiling at all three of them and sit next to hermione.
“YN! We were wondering where you went!” Harry exclaims as he stands up and wraps his arms around my torso and squeezes me. A weird thing to do, is it some kind of way to say hello?
“Ha ha, yeah,” I say awkwardly as harrys still latching onto me. He lets go a second later and sits back down.
“I didn't know if you guys wanted me in your booth with you.” I whisper, turning my face to the ground hoping they dont see my face red from embarrassment.
“Nonsense YN, you're always welcome to sit with us.” Ron added, I lifted my head to see all three of them beaming at me. I'm really starting to like hogwarts.
