One Year Later
Alastor was delighted he had an invitation to the Hogwarts New Year Ball. He had never been invited before and he had hoped that perhaps Minerva had something to do with it.
He arrived at Hogwarts in his full Scottish regalia of Tweed Jacket white shirt with his family’s special tartan tie and matching kilt. His sporran was made from one of the rare Haggai that had lived in the hills near his ancestors home. He was proud of the expansion charm that his late great grandmother had cast upon the sporran when she married. He had inherited it and was proud to own it as it hid so many useful items.
Minerva was delighted to see Alastor arrive and her heart leapt with delight but her body filled with a wave of lust at the red headed man dressed in full Highland dress. He looked even more handsome to her. She only then noticed something was wrong with one of his eye’s. She then recalled that earlier in the year that he had been hit in the face by a blast of Dark Magic that had left him badly injured.
His magical eye swirled in her direction and Alastor caught sight of the tall witch dressed in a gown of pale green silk with a tartan sash clearly identifying her own clan tartan. He realised she was as proud of her own Scottish heritage as he.
He managed to have a few dances with the witch but conversation was stilted as the old coot of a Headmaster kept staring daggers at him. Clearly Alastor was not a favourite partner for Minerva. He broke away and sidled up to Dumbledore as Minerva took care of someother visitors to the Ball.
