CHAPTER 8

As they settled into their hotel room, Agatha started to remove all the Salem clutter. “This is all crap.” She huffed as she ripped down the stupidly promotional signs.

Rio appeared behind her and Agatha nearly jumped out of her skin. Rio reached in front of her to grab her hand, ready to rip a paper planchet from the wall. “Baby, it’s kinda cute,”

Agatha’s hand was easily pulled back.

Rio wrapped her arms around Agatha sighing into her ear, the sound causing Agatha to shiver, if only just a bit. Her hand lightning running up and down her arm. “Do you really hate all this stuff?”

Blue eyes looked around the room and let her breath out slowly. When she turned, Rio released her. “I… grew up a certain way is all.” Her hand flicked about the room. “These things…” she sighed and closed her eyes as she heard her mother’s voice in her head, that's devils’ worship, Agatha!” She opened her eyes and hadn’t realized she had spoken.

Rio’s eyes were contemplative. “Hm… so it does make you uncomfortable?” Her eyes were gentle. “I… I could go on my own, you don’t have to come with me.”

Agatha shook her head. “It’s just a bit of flair, it’s all a marketing ploy. I’m fine with it. If you want to run around and buy overpriced merchandise and have old women lie to you about your future, who am I to stop you?”

Rio leaned forward and kissed Agatha on the cheek, the woman twitching away. Hurt evident on Rio’s face.

Agatha’s eyes lifted slowly. “Rio… I don’t want you to get confused…”

Rio lifted her hands in surrender. “Only practicing for the part you want me to play. Which isn’t going to come off as love with the she demon if you keep moving away.” She crossed her arms. “Do I really unsettle you that much?” Her eyes widened, “I wasn’t your first, woman, was I? Because you certainly seemed to know what you were doing…”

Agatha moved to plop onto the bed, her hand raised. “No, you weren’t my first.” She rolled her eyes. “I just… I don't want to get confused, that's all. I don’t do the whole dating thing.”

Rio nodded, sitting beside her, leaving plenty of room between them. “I think we can be friendly without getting confused. This is just… a week long one night stand thing. Right?”

Agatha relaxed a little, her shoulder’s relaxing at the suggestion. “Yeah.”

Rio nodded, easing herself down to the mattress. “We’ll, have a good time.” Her eyes surveyed the room from a new angel. “So are we doing a pillow wall or what?”

Agatha’s eyebrow raised. “You want to build a fort?”

Rio shook her head, leveling Agatha with a look. “I take it you want some adjustments to the one bed we are apparently sharing?” She tilted her head, subconsciously licking her lips. “Or is sex back on the table?”

Agatha looked at the bed as if noticing for the first time that they would have to sleep… together. “Uhm…” she flushed and Rio chuckled lightly.

“We don’t have to do anything, Agatha…” Her eyes roamed the other woman anyway. “Not if you don’t want to… but if you did,” She smirked and Agatha was tired of her having the upper hand. She was tired of Rio’s stupid self-assured smile, so as Rio’s eyes looked away, Agatha pounced – smashing her lips into Rio’s. The brunette shutting her eyes at the sensation and quickly moaning the moment Agatha shoved her tongue down her throat.

This was going to be a long night indeed.
