The Omen of the Stars Era
1.
Jayflight and Poppyfrost are the parents of Dovekit and Ivykit, not Whitewing and Birchfall.
2.
Dovekit is selectively mute. While she can speak, she often finds it hard to due to severe social anxiety. She speaks through signs, only ever talking to close family, and even that is rare.
3.
Dovesong's mentor was Snowsnout, the deaf warrior. The two are still close after even after Dovesong received her warrior name.
4.
Ever since Snowsnout became a warrior, all Thunderclan kits are taught sign language before they leave the nursery. In the other clans, they are taught basic signs just in case.
5.
Ivypool does end up in the Dark Forest, but she goes to her dad the moment she woke up after the first visit. She becomes the Mole like immediately.
Hawkfrost's reasoning was that she must be so tired of being "coddled" by her parents. Ivypool fr looked around like "who tf are you talking to?"
6.
The whole FireSandDust family is really close. Even though there are smaller subgroups, the entire group hangs out like all the time.
You might find Ivypool and Jake sharing tongues, or Cloudtail wrestling Squirreltail, or Jayflight eating with Dustpelt.
Despite the generation differences, they all get along really well.
7.
During the Great Battle, Jake was the one to kill Brokenstar the final time.
He did apologize to Yellowfang for it, but she just laughed and said that if anyone deserved the opportunity, it was him.
8.
Sometimes there will be a cuddle pile in the middle of the Thunderclan camp and it will be composed of the entire Thunderclan branch of the TallJake bloodline, from kits to elders.
Legend says it's the best sleep you've ever had.
9.
Dovesong often goes moons, sometimes years without speaking. She went 2 years without speaking until the night of the Great Battle, where the first words out of her mouth in years were "They're here."
10.
Briarlight still suffered her injury like in the books. Instead of only being a medical assistant to Gorseflower and Larkwillow, she helps all over the camp. It's not uncommon to see her helping in the nursery or the elder's den.
She is not confined to camp as much as she was in the books. During Gatherings, one or two of her clanmates will volunteer to carry her to the island. Sometimes, she'll go on walks around the territory, whether that be on someone's back or dragging herself around.
This helps her stay healthier as she is exposed to more of life than just the gorge.
11.
Thunderclan warriors sometimes hunt deer as prey. They are the biggest cats out of the other clans and a handful is enough take one down.
12.
Thunderclan has the largest clan, having give or take 120 cats. The next largest is Riverclan with ~98.
13.
Jayflight and Briarlight are very close friends. In fact, he often volunteers to carry Briarlight to Gatherings despite his smaller size. The two often joke that Jayflight is her legs and Briarlight is his eyes.
14.
Yellowfang is the oldest cat still living in the clans. She died just shy of 19 years old, and it was from battle wounds, not old age.
She likes to joke to the other Starclan members that she would have lived forever if the broken neck hadn't stopped her.
Starclan is afraid there may be some truth to her words.
15.
One of the reasons Thunderclan has a such large population is due to the large litters. Many cats are or descended from kittypets, which plays a big part in the litter sizes.
Clan cats typically have 2-5 kits with some variation, but kittypets have closer to 5-8 kits.
So large litters plus good medicine cats plus advancements in Thunderclan's standard of living equals higher percentages of kits surviving into adulthood.
16.
I had this idea that the gorge/quarry/whatever the Thunderclan camp was made in is ginormous. However, eventually the clan grows a bit bigger than is comfortable for the size of the camp.
Thankfully, there is another large quarry-like area nearby. It's not as dug in as the other one, but the idea was for the humans to dig on either side and meet in the middle. The 'wall' separating the two camps isn't as steep as the main walls and is easily climbed over.
Kind of like a w shape in the earth, if that makes sense.
The leader, warrior, and apprentice dens are the closest to the front of the camp while the rest of them are towards the back. There are plenty of back exits, including an entrance to the tunnel system underneath the territory.
17.
Jayflight and Poppyfrost have a 2nd litter after Ivypool and Dovesong.
Their names are Honeymask, Moleclaw, Frostmoon, and Asterwing.
Brackentuft suggested Frost because Frostmoon looks a lot like his own mother, Frostfur.
