Summary
"You WHAT?!” Chizuru’s voice echoed through Aya’s room. Aya had invited her friends, Chizuru, Mao, and even Narita, to tell them about the day before. Upon hearing about Aya’s crush on Mitsuki, her friends reacted differently. Mao was a little shocked but expected it, Narita claimed he “knew all along”, and Chizuru… well, she still thought Aya had something going on with the “guy” at the record store. After talking for some time, Chizuru and Mao agreed to Narita’s plan: to throw a Christmas countdown party that would give Aya the chance to talk to Mitsuki and properly confess.Or,Aya had drunkenly confessed to Mitsuki a week before Christmas.
Note
Merry Yurimas everyone :DI turned 17 on Christmas so I felt obliged to write a Christmas fic.Forgive me if the characters act out-of-character ;(

A week from now would be Christmas, and Aya was looking forward to celebrating it with Mitsuki and her friends. The night before, Mitsuki had personally invited Aya for a drink or two to celebrate her signing a record deal. Aya was getting ready to leave her house and meet with Mitsuki, but the only problem was…

"Aaah! I can’t decide on what to wear!” Aya flopped down onto her bed, holding her phone in one hand. She was on video call with her close friend, Mao, who was sighing. “Come on, I’m sure you’d look good in anything!” Her friend shook her head, wishing she was there to help. “Yeah, but what if I look underdressed? Or worse, overdressed?!” Aya rolled over in her bed.

Mao chuckled softly at her, and then asked, “Why are you so worried, anyway? It’s Mitsuki you’re hanging out with, not some guy.”

Aya sighed and sat up on her bed. She glanced over at the dress hanging in the closet that was opened. “Do you think she’ll like it, though?” Aya flipped the camera to show Mao the dress. “I love it, so she better love it, too, or she would have horrible taste.” Mao joked as Aya turned the camera back to her. It made Aya laugh, the idea of Mitsuki having horrible taste, because there was no way she would. Aya got up from her bed and announced, “Okay! I’ll get changed now, thanks for assuring me, Mao.” She smiled at the phone before waving goodbye to her friend and hanging up.

After the call had ended, Aya got dressed and took another five minutes staring at the mirror. She was even talking to herself as if she was speaking to Mitsuki. “I wonder what her outfit would look like today...” She said out loud to the mirror. After a while longer, she was finally ready to get out of the house. Walking to the train station, she thought to herself, “Ah… I should have brought a jacket with me. It’s cold!” She didn’t expect it to snow the moment she left the house. The restaurant that Mitsuki had invited her to was a few stops away, so at least she didn’t have to be in the cold for a while.

When she arrived outside the restaurant, Mitsuki wasn’t there yet. Aya took out her phone from her bag to check the time. She wasn’t too early, she was right on time. So, she figured Mitsuki was running late. She didn’t know whether or not to go into the restaurant first, so she sat down at a nearby bench and waited.

She waited and waited, and twenty minutes had gone by. She called Mitsuki twice but it went to voicemail. Aya was starting to think Mitsuki had forgotten about today. It was cold, she needed to leave, to walk into someplace warmer, but she didn’t want to leave. She waited a while longer.

Aya watched as people passed by, kids holding their parents’ hands and boyfriends’ holding their girlfriends’ hands. She wondered if she would ever experience that teenage love that the movies portrayed. She lifted her hand to rub away a snowflake that fell onto her nose. From a distance, she noticed someone with headphones and a box of something running down the street. Her vision blurred by the snow, Aya rubbed her eye as the person got closer.

"Ah…” Her face automatically heated up as she realized she had been staring at Mitsuki, watching her run up to where she was sitting. “Oosawa-san…Sorry, I’m so late!” Mitsuki apologized as she caught her breath, standing in front of where Aya sat. “You’re here!” She stood up, and while unsure of where to put her hands, she gripped onto her bag tightly. “You must be cold…” Mitsuki said softly, almost as if she was speaking to herself. She put down the box she was holding and shook her jacket off her shoulders. “Here, have this.” She wrapped her jacket around Aya’s shoulders and smiled at her as she noticed a hue of pink on Aya’s face. Glancing at the box, Mitsuki recalled that she was supposed to give it to Aya. “Oh, right! This is for you.” She took the box and handed it to Aya.

“Oh, thanks… What is it..?” Aya questioned, trying to open the box. “Ah, I baked cookies. That’s why I was late, I’m really sorry. Thank you for waiting, Oosawa-san.” Mitsuki rubbed the back of her neck, her expression filled with guilt for making Aya wait so long. She was glad that Aya didn’t leave. “It’s okay. I tried calling but you didn’t answer. Is your phone dead?”

Mitsuki reached for her phone in her pocket, and attempted to turn it on. “Oh. I forgot to charge it last night.” She sighed and put it away. “Anyway, let’s get going then?” She held out her hand. Aya looked at it for a moment, her mind spinning. “Okay…” She took Mitsuki’s hand hesitantly and they walked to the restaurant.

They were sat in a private room and were supposed to be having a drink or two, but they drank a little more than that. “I like this cookie.” Aya said, her voice soft as she was chewing on one of the cookies from the box that Mitsuki had given her. “Really? That’s a relief… I was worried you wouldn’t like it.” Mitsuki smiled sheepishly, watching as Aya took another bite out of the cookie.

"Worried? I was worried you wouldn’t like this outfit… Wouldn’t like me.” Aya spoke in a slurred tone, making Mitsuki realize she was a little drunk. “You look good, Oosawa-san.” She responded, reaching for Aya’s glass and taking it away from her. “Drink this instead, okay?” She passed her a different glass that was filled with water.

Aya nodded, holding the glass of water but not drinking it. “I’m so proud of you, Koga-san…Writing music is cool.” Aya subconsciously leaned closer to Mitsuki. “Thank you, but you should really drink up.” Mitsuki reached for Aya’s hand that was holding the glass of water, urging her to sober up. “Okay, but… I’m sad, now everyone will get to hear your music.” Aya looked down at the glass. “I was your first fan, remember that!”

Mitsuki nodded, a smile tugging at her lips. “Yes, you are. I’ll remember it.”

“Everyone will love Koga-san… But I was there first, okay?” Aya looked at Mitsuki, her eyes dead serious. Aya’s cheeks were light pink, her voice still soft and quiet. She looked at Mitsuki for a long time before saying, “I loved Koga-san first.”

Mitsuki was slightly taken aback by that comment, but then thought she shouldn’t think too much about it. She figured Aya must have meant that she loved Mitsuki’s music. Nothing more, nothing less. To Mitsuki, as long as her passion lasts and as long as Aya enjoyed her music, she would keep making music. She thought she needed nothing more, until she saw the look in Aya’s eyes. Her eyes were a stunning pink, and the look in her eyes, Mitsuki thought, felt like genuine love. For the first time, Mitsuki hoped for more.

"Come on, drink some water.” She looked away from Aya’s captivating eyes. “But Koga-san… I like you…” Aya whispered softly, her eyes still lingering on Mitsuki’s face. Mitsuki sighed and smiled, looking back at Aya fondly. “I’m glad, but you’re not sober. Will you drink this for me, please?” She pointed at the glass of water. Aya nodded and finally drank up.

"Let’s get you home now, it’s getting late.” They had chatted for hours and it was already dark outside. Mitsuki couldn’t let Aya go home alone, because she was still slightly drunk, so she asked, “Will it be okay to bring you back to mine?”

Aya stood up from her seat, holding onto the table. She didn’t say a word, she just nodded her head. Mitsuki took her arm and put it around her own shoulders. “Just hold on, okay? I’ll call a cab.”

They stumbled out of the restaurant and waited for the cab to arrive. As the car pulled up, Mitsuki helped Aya into the backseat and then got in and sat next to her. Aya’s finger brushed against Mitsuki’s and she interlocked their pinkies. They sat in silence, pinkies intertwined, for the rest of the journey.

Mitsuki lived above the record store she worked at, so they had to walk through the store to get upstairs. “Hey, you’re back. Is that Oosawa-san?” Joe waved, looking at Aya. “Yeah… She’s just going to stay the night. Didn’t know she was such a lightweight!” She joked, gently holding Aya by the waist as she walked to the stairs behind the counter. Joe smiled and nodded. “Alright… Be careful!” He said to Mitsuki as she started going up the stairs, still holding onto Aya.

Slowly, she helped Aya get onto bed. “You okay there?” Mitsuki asked, poking Aya’s cheek. Aya nodded, smiling a little. “I’m never drinking again.” She responded, which made Mitsuki laugh. Mitsuki bent down to grab a spare mattress from under the bed.

“You’re not sleeping on the bed?” Aya questioned. “Hmm? Oh, no, you can sleep there. It’s not very spacious, so I’ll sleep here.” She pulled out the spare mattress and flopped down onto it. Aya got up and looked at Mitsuki, frowning a little. “Okay.” She replied, then put her head back down.

Hours fly by but Aya couldn’t fall asleep. She thought that sleep would come easily because she was a little intoxicated, but it seems she could not sleep. She lifted herself up with her elbow so that she can look down at where Mitsuki was. She was already sleeping. Mitsuki looked so calm.

Aya laid back down and closed her eyes.

The following day, Aya was woken up by the sound of music playing in the room. She sat up slowly on the bed, rubbing her eyes gently to clear her vision. “Mmn.. Huh..?” She saw Mitsuki sitting on a chair with wheels, head banging to the music. “Oh, sorry! Did I wake you up?” Mitsuki reached for the volume button and turned down the music. “K-Koga-san..? What are you…” Aya looked around, realizing this wasn’t her house. “Is this..?” Her voice grew softer.

“Oh, yeah. I brought you back to my place because you were drunk last night, I didn’t feel comfortable letting you go home alone. I-I mean, now that I think about it, I could have just went home with you, huh…” She rubbed the back of her neck awkwardly.

Aya stared at Mitsuki blankly, then her face started turning red. She started to remember what happened last night. The random confession and the pinkies interlocked. “Ah…AAAAH-!” She exclaimed, hiding her face in her hands. “Woah- What- Are you okay, Oosawa-san? Is it a headache?” Mitsuki’s faced grew concerned, and she walked up towards Aya, but the girl stood up quickly.

"I-I’m okay! Thanks for taking care of me! I’ll be going now! Merry christmas!” Aya announced loudly before running out of the room. She walked down the stairs quickly and saw Joe. “Good morning…?” He said, but Aya completely missed him and ran off without looking back. Mitsuki came down a moment later, looking confused. “Is she alright?” Joe asked.

"Ah… I hope I didn’t scare her off…” Mitsuki said, loud enough only for herself to hear. Joe tilted his head in confusion and muttered to himself something about teenage love that Mitsuki didn’t quite catch. The black haired girl sighed and went back up, grabbing her phone and dropping Aya a text. In the text, she wrote: “Sorry if it was the wrong move to take you back to my place. Drink more water if your head starts to hurt. I hope you’re okay.”

Aya had read the text message almost immediately after Mitsuki sent it. She didn’t know how to reply. She felt like she ruined the friendship now that she had told Mitsuki how she felt. However, she couldn’t seem to remember what was Mitsuki’s reaction. “Aah… How did she react?” She muttered to herself. She was lying on ber bed after she had taken a shower. She was so exhausted after running all the way home. Aya decided to tell her friends about last night.

After talking for some time, Chizuru and Mao agreed to Narita’s plan: to throw a Christmas countdown party that would give Aya the chance to talk to Mitsuki and properly confess.

"Why wait until Christmas?” Aya asked. Narita looked at her as if she said something incredibly stupid. “So that it’s more romantic, of course! I’ll even put up a mistletoe so that the two of you will finally kiss.” He joked, but Aya knew he was capable of doing something that annoying. Aya sighed and put her head in her hands. “But what if she doesn’t even feel the same? I can’t recall what was her reaction to the drunk confession…” She muttered. Her friends looked at each other, Narita almost giggling but Mao smacked his head before he could burst out laughing.

"It’ll be okay, Oosawa-san. Narita here says he’s sure that Koga-san feels the same, so if he’s wrong, let’s beat him up.” Chizuru suggested, and Mao nodded her head. Narita gasped at them, shaking his head in disagreement. “Please, don’t do that!” He exclaimed. Aya lifted up her head and laughed. She felt relieved that she had supportive friends. She thought about the plan for a moment. It didn't seem like a terrible idea, as she would get to spend time with her friends as well. She had to communicate her feelings properly to Mitsuki, anyway. "Okay, I guess it's not a bad suggestion." Aya nodded her head, which got her friends attention and the girls stopped poking fun at Narita. "What is? Beating me up?" Narita frowned. "Yes." Aya joked. Her laughter, along with Mao and Chizuru's giggles (and Narita's screams of disagreement), filled up the room.

There were still five days until Christmas Eve, which was enough time for the four of them to prepare for the party. Aya had suggested to throw the party at her home, and everyone agreed to it because they believed she had the prettiest looking Christmas tree at home. Chizuru offered to get the food and drinks while Mao and Narita offered to decorate the place. "Wait, then what do do?" Aya asked, wondering if there is anything else to do. Narita gripped Aya by the shoulders and chuckled, "Your job, my friend, is to ask Mitsuki to come to the party." Aya frowned and shook her head, "What! Why does it have to be me? I can't speak to her!" She flicked Narita's hands off from her shoulders and turned to Chizuru and Mao. The two of them shook their heads. "It has to be you." Mao said. "You can even do it now! We'll be here for moral support." Chizuru looked around for Aya's phone. When she found it sitting on the desk next to her bed, she reached for it and passed it to Aya. The three of them looked at Aya excitedly, as if they were watching the climax of a romance TV show.

Aya sighed and looked through her contact list to find Mitsuki's number. She still had not responded to her text from this morning, so she felt awkward to text. "I guess I'll call her now…" She looked at her friends. They were nodding and nodding, waiting patiently. "Yes, do it! We'll keep quiet, promise." They whispered. Aya stared at Mitsuki's number for a while, her heart racing as she clicked on the call button. It rang three times before the phone was answered.

"Oosawa-san?" Mitsuki's voice gentle and smooth, Aya could feel her heart exploding. "Koga-san! Umm… Sorry for not responding. I'm okay now! I wanted to ask if you're free on Christmas Eve?" Aya's voice was shaky as she asked, and she could see Narita was on the verge of laughing, so she glared at him while balling up her fist. "Ahh, I'm glad you're okay. 24th, huh? I think I'm free. Why?"

"I wanted to invite you to a Christmas countdown party!" Aya exclaimed a little too excitedly. "Oh, a party? Sounds good, I'll be sure to be there." Mitsuki accepted the invite, and Aya can almost picture Mitsuki smiling as she said she would be there. "Okay! I'll see you, then."

"Bye-bye, Oosawa-san. I'll see you soon." Mitsuki almost sent Aya into cardiac arrest. "Bye-bye, Koga-san!" She quickly hung up the phone, letting out an excited yelp as she hung up. "She said yes?" Narita questioned. "Of course she did, dummy." Chizuru lightly flicked his forehead. Aya grabbed a pillow and buried her face in it, screaming into the pillow. "Sheesh, crazy much?" Narita teased, which resulted in a smack on the back of his head from both Mao and Chizuru.

Christmas Eve came quickly, and the party was about to begin in an hour. The four of them had agreed to start the party at 8 p.m. so it would give them enough time to finish setting up the food. Aya was standing on a stool, trying to put the mistletoe up on the ceiling. Mitsuki had arrived early to help out as well. "Koga-san!" Chizuru called out. Aya almost fell off the stool she was standing on when she heard Mitsuki's name being called. She caught herself before falling, steadying herself first before getting off carefully. "Hey!" Mitsuki waved at Chizuru. Aya walked up awkwardly from behind and waved. "Oh, Oosawa-san!" Mitsuki waved at her, smiling wider. They stood there awkwardly and it made Chizuru feel like she was interrupting something. "Uh… I'll go set up the food, then!" Chizuru turned and walked into the dining room.

Aya watched as her friend walked away, her eyes silently wishing Chizuru had stayed. "Oh, right. I got you a Christmas gift, Oosawa-san." Mitsuki put her hand in her coat's pockets, digging for something. A moment later, she pulled out a nicely gift wrapped box and handed it to Aya. "Thank you, Koga-san… I got you something, too! Wait right here, I'll go get it." Aya ran off into her room. Mitsuki looked around the living room, taking in the atmosphere. The decorations, she thought, was really awesome. She walked a little closer to the Christmas tree that was near Aya's room. Aya came out a minute later with a small box in hand. "Here it is!" She passed Mitsuki the gift. "Thank you, Oosawa-san." Mitsuki's fingers brushed against Aya's as she took the gift. Aya could feel her heart rate increasing from that tiny interaction.

"You guys are under the mistletoe." A voice suddenly appeared from behind. Aya's two little brothers were standing behind her. Aya looked up and realized they were in fact under the mistletoe. "Wha- Hey! Who put it here?" Aya's face turned red. Her little brother pointed at Narita, who was standing nearby. "Hey! Snitch." Narita squinted his eyes. Aya lifted her fists and was going to strangle Narita. "You told them what being under the mistletoe means?!" She yelled at Narita. The poor man was shaking his head, saying that her brothers already knew what it meant. Mitsuki chuckled, which caught Aya's attention. She sighed and rolled her eyes at Narita. "Whatever! Aki, Amu, go beat up that man!" Aya pointed at Narita.

As Narita was laughing, Aya looked back at Mitsuki. "Your brothers are so cute!" Mitsuki said. Aya glanced at them punching Narita softly, and let out a laugh. "Yeah, they're pretty cute." She smiled lightly.

An hour later, Joe had arrived with Kanna. Aya greeted them and welcomed them in. "Everyone's here!" Mao exclaimed loudly so that Chizuru could hear from the dining room. "Ah, okay! Food is almost ready!" She yelled back.

The scent of the food could be smelled from the living room. It smelled like fried chicken and something sweet. Everyone headed to the dining room after greetings have been exchanged.

“Woah, the food looks so good.” Aya said, her mouth watering. There was fried chicken, pizza, stew and fruit punch. “Yay!” Aki and Amu exclaimed as they ran around the dining table. “Wait- Don’t run!” Aya stopped them before they bump into someone and break something. Mitsuki smiled at them as she pulled a chair out and sat down on it. Aya subconsciously pulled out a chair and sat next to Mitsuki.

"Aah, thank you for the food…” Narita was starting to dig into the chicken. Chizuru squinted her eyes at him and sighed. “Eat up, everyone! There’s also cake afterwards.” She announced to the crowd. “Woah, how did you have time to make cake?” Mao was surprised. Chizuru shrugged and answered, “I’m just that cool.” Mao agreed with her.

Mitsuki noticed Aya swallowing her food really quickly. “Woah, Oosawa-san, you’ll choke if you don’t slow down!”

Aya paused her chewing and looked up at her. “Ah, yes. Thank you, Koga-san.” She said, her voice sounding a little muffled with the food in her mouth. Mitsuki laughed at her cheeks being puffed up. “You look like a chipmunk.” She teased. Aya swallowed her food and let out a laugh. “Chipmunks are cute, I’m not that cute.”

"Really?” Mitsuki smiled, and it almost sent Aya into cardiac arrest (again).

"Koga-san and big sis are flirting.” Aki and Amu said with an innocent straight face. Aya turned and glared at them, quickly noticing that Narita had whispered into their ears. “Hey! Stop telling them to say things!” She pointed out, wanting to throw a knife at him. “Stop flirting at dinner!” He retorted. “We are not!”

Mitsuki chuckled to herself as she ate her plate of chicken. She enjoyed being around this group of people. A part of her suddenly felt relieved when she recalled Aya’s drunken confession the other day. She thought maybe something would happen tonight. She glanced at Aya, who was still cursing at Narita. She couldn’t help but to smile whenever she looked at Aya.

After dinner was over, the group moved to the living room for the gift exchange. “Open it, open it!” Mao urged Aya as she held onto the gift Mitsuki had given her. Aya nodded and started unwrapping the gift. Mitsuki had given her a vinyl record of OK Computer. “Woah! I love Radiohead!” Aya exclaimed loudly, turning to look at Mitsuki, who was already looking at her. “Ahh, now I feel like my gift isn’t as cool as this.” Aya sighed, but Mitsuki shook her head. She took out Aya’s gift and opened it. Aya had given her a guitar pick necklace. “This is really cool. Did you make it yourself?” Mitsuki inspected the guitar pick, noticing that it has her initials on it. Aya nodded, “Yeah, I did. Do you like it?”

Mitsuki immediately wore the necklace around her neck. “I love it. Thank you, Oosawa-san.” Seeing Mitsuki wear her handmade necklace made Aya blush a little.

"Oosawa-san, why did you get me a shirt with Narita’s face on it?” Chizuru frowned. Aya tilted her head, confused. “Oh…! Sorry, I must have written the name on the gift wrapping wrongly…” Aya looked for the gift with Narita’s name on it. “This should be yours. That’s for Narita.” She took the shirt and threw it at Narita. “Hey-! Oh, I look pretty good.” He looked at the himself on the shirt before wearing it over his current shirt.

Chizuru had gotten a new set of cosmetics from Aya, while Mao had gotten a new pair of earrings. “Thank you, sweet Aya~” The both of them smiled and thanked their friend profusely.

The gift exchanged continued for a while longer, each of them being happy and thankful for the gifts they received. At the end of it, Aya wondered why Narita didn’t give her a gift. She brought it up randomly when she was alone in the kitchen with him, cleaning up the dishes. “Oh, I didn’t get you a gift because I figured my gift would be giving you the idea for a Christmas party.” Narita joked, which got him a kick in the knee. “Ow-! Okay, okay! I got you this.” He gave her an unwrapped picture frame. The picture in it was of Aya and Mitsuki. “Oh… Wait, when was this?” She asked, taking a closer look at the image. “Last Christmas, when you fell asleep on her shoulders on the train ride home. Remember?” Narita tried to jog Aya’s memories.

Aya recalled that last Christmas, they had went to a Christmas event at school. She became extremely tired afterwards, so she fell asleep on the train. She didn’t remember sleeping on Mitsuki’s shoulder, though, but it seems like she did, and Narita sneakily took a picture of them. “Thanks… for this… Creepy of you to take a picture, though.” Aya poked at his sides. “Be grateful I did! You can show this to Mitsuki at your wedding.” He teased. “Shut up, you!” Aya yelled and started throwing hands at him.

Hours had went by and it was nearly midnight. Aya still didn’t have the chance to talk to Mitsuki about the other day. “Ah, Oosawa-san!” Mitsuki called out from inside her room. “What are you doing in here?” Aya wondered out loud. “Oh, it was just a little too loud, so I went into a random room and realised it was yours. Sorry, should I leave?”

"Wait no! I-I’ve been um… wanting to talk to you, about that other day.” Aya held her breath as she spoke. She gently closed the door behind her and sat down on her bed, her eyes looking at Mitsuki, who moved to sit next to her. “Oh, you remember it?” Mitsuki let out a soft laughter. Aya nodded, feeling a little embarrassed. “Yes, and I just wanted to say it again, sober this time, so you know I mean it…” Aya said, her voice quiet and her hands fidgeting with the hem of her skirt. Mitsuki noticed this and shifted closer to Aya, trying to convey to her that she’s listening.

”Koga-san, I like you.” She said, her eyes tightly shut closed. Mitsuki almost laughed at the sight of her closed eyes, but she listened closely. “And I-I don’t remember what was your reaction to this that day! So please, tell me again.” Aya requested, her eyes opened now but looking away from Mitsuki.

"Look at me, please?” Mitsuki reached out to hold onto Aya’s hand, which caused Aya to panic and turn to look at Mitsuki. She wanted to say something, but nothing came out of her mouth. Mitsuki smiled, feeling her own face heat up at the sight of Aya’s flustered expression. “Oosawa-san, I’m glad. You’re sober now, so I guess I can say I feel the same.” She let out a little chuckle, her thumb rubbing lazy circles around Aya’s palm. Aya could feel her face burning, her heart pounding and her stomach tickling.

“Oosawa-san?” A voice called out from outside the room. It was Kanna’s voice. “Ah, they’re looking for us…” Aya whispered. “Yeah, we should go. It’s almost midnight.” Mitsuki stood up, pulling Aya up with her. They walked out of the room holding hands and everyone turned to look at them, staring blankly.

"Did you guys kiss?” Narita shook his head, disappointed that he wasn’t there to see it happen. “Shut up!” Aya yelled at him, her face heating up again. “Aw, come on, it’s two minutes to Christmas! You’re standing under the mistletoe, too.” He pointed at the ceiling. “What! Why is it everywhere!” Aya exclaimed, even though there was only that one mistletoe that was outside of her room.

"I’d like to kiss you if you want, Oosawa-san.” Mitsuki’s hand slipped off Aya’s hand and moved to her waist. “I- But!” Aya’s face grew increasingly red. Everyone in the room was looking at them. It was one minute to Christmas.

Aya thought about how her friends did this for her, and how Mitsuki’s uncle and Kanna came to celebrate Christmas with her. This was all she ever wanted. She felt so much right now she could just melt into Mitsuki’s arms. “O-okay…” Aya whispered to Mitsuki. “Okay?”

The rest of the group started counting down the seconds to midnight. “Five… Four…” Aya heard everyone say.

“Three… Two…”

Mitsuki looked at the crowd, then at Aya. “One…” She said, smiling at Aya while her hand was still resting on Aya’s waist. As she leaned in closer, Aya closed her eyes and let her mind go blank. All she could think about was the feeling she felt in her stomach. The butterflies fluttering around and making her feel all ticklish. A moment later, she felt Mitsuki’s lips on hers and could hear everyone cheering and saying Merry Christmas.

The mistletoe that hung above them blew in the wind. Mitsuki broke the kiss to look at Aya. “Merry Christmas, Oosawa-san.” Her voice was gentle and sweet, and Aya felt herself wanting to kiss Mitsuki again.

Aya smiled back at Mitsuki, the pink hue on her face getting more obvious. “Yeah… Merry Christmas, Koga-san.”

"I hear wedding bells!” Narita exclaimed. Aya flashed him a glare once again. All together, Chizuru, Mao, Joe, Kanna and Aya’s brothers took turns punching Narita.“Stop interrupting their moment, Narita!” They shouted, making Aya and Mitsuki giggle while looking at each other.

Santa Claus fell through the window. “Ah! What a happy family! Yay gays!” The room fell silent for a while, staring at the random man dressed as Santa Claus. Then, they cheered. “Yay gays!”
