Ice cream fluff
Service bell sat in her room thinking. She wasn’t exactly the most liked contestant, and she could easily be targeted. She needed a way to get more allies, but how? She was only able to get yearbook on her side because she was able to steal the camera mirror bought. She’d do the same if she could, but she doubted any of the others left their rooms unlocked.
Her thoughts were interrupted as she heard a knock on her door, she got up to go unlock it.
On the other side of the door was yearbook looking nervous and excited. Great, service bell thought, just what she needed right now.
“What do you want?” Service bell asked, clearly irritated. Yearbook didn’t seem to pick up on her annoyance though.
“Oh uh, well I was thinking if we could.. uh um” yearbook stuttered looking anxious.
“Spit it out already!” Service bell yelled, her anger rising by the second.
“R..right uh, I was wonder if you wanted to.. well uh, there’s this new ice cream shop nearby a-and I wanted to see if you wanted to go there with me!” Yearbook managed to stammer out, blushing furiously.
Service bell looked at her blankly before looking off to the side. She did need to get her mind off of everything, but then again this was yearbook, whatever.
“Uh… alright?” Service bell replied, she didn’t really want to be around anyone at the moment, but some ice cream did sound nice.
For a moment Yearbook looked shocked before sighing with relief, a smile formed on her lips.
“Really? Great! Thanks. Do you want to go now or..?”
“Well, I mean I don’t have anything else to be doing so sure I guess.” Service bell replied her usual unimpressed expression making its way back to her face.

A billboard with the words “sweet spoons” on it stood tall by a restaurant. “Finally, this better be worth it” service bell thought as the two reached the ice cream place. The trip was Way too long for service bells liking, she wasn’t the best when it came to conversation and she sure as hell was glad the awkward walk was over.
The two walked into the fancy looking restaurant, yearbook walked up to the counter, ringing the bell. It didn’t take long before a worker came by, a milkshake who looked like they wanted to be anywhere but there.
“What do you want to order?” They said, looking bored.
“Um, I’ll just have a vanilla ice cream if that’s alright.” Yearbook said, fidgeting with her hands anxiously.
“Cone or cup?” The milkshake asked
“I’ll have it with a cone.” Yearbook said before she looked back at service bell.
“What do you want to order?” A small smile played on yearbooks lips as she looked at her.
“I’ll have a chocolate ice cream in a cup.” Service bell replied, looking off to the side.
She suddenly felt anxious under yearbooks gaze. What was happening to her?! this wasn’t supposed to happen, She needed to make it stop somehow.
An awkward silence hung over yearbook and service bell as they sat at a table. Yearbook wasn’t sure what to say, she wasn’t the best when it came to conversation.
“Here’s your ice cream!” A voice broke the silence, a waiter. The waiter set the two ice creams down on their table before turning to leave.
“So.. uh, how have you been?” Yearbook said, attempting to break the silence.
“I’ve been fine.” Service bells said nonchalantly as she shoved a spoonful of ice cream into her mouth
“That’s nice to hear, I’ve been alright too!” Yearbook replied before taking a lick of her ice cream.
“So, do you have any music genres you like?” Yearbook asked.
“Gosh this is so stupid” service bell thought to herself before speaking.
“Well, I guess I’m more into indie music, and some others. What about you?”
“Oh that’s nice! I don’t really have any specific genres I like, but I do like laufey, and mitski.”
Yearbook replied.
Service bell finally looked at yearbook, her interest piqued.
“Oh you like mitski? Me too.”
Service bell said, slightly surprised.
“Wait really?! What’s your favourite song from her?”
Yearbook asked, her voice rising with excitement.
“Hm.. well mine is Francis forever, and crack baby.”
Service bell replied.
“Oh I love that song! Personally my favourites are your best American girl, liquid smooth, and remember my name. I really love all of them though!”
Yearbook replied enthusiastically.
The two yapped about mitski and ate ice cream or smth idk I don’t feel like writing anymore.
Yearbook was annoying, in service bells opinion.
The way she somehow managed to make every conversation awkward, the way she’d start getting really talkative whenever she talked about her interests, and her obsession with that stupid camera of hers. It always grated on Service bells nerves.
But not today. she wasn’t sure why, but she’d found it endearing and somewhat comforting.
She didn’t mind yearbook. In fact, she kind of.. enjoyed her company.
Maybe, just maybe, friendships weren’t that bad.
Maybe, she was ready to have one.
