A Burning Field Of Poppies. (The X-Mans)

The music that Poppy was listening to was playing through Poppy's headphones. She was moving a red block from left to right with her powers while she was sitting down and while Professor Doey watches. Eventually it turned into hovering in the air and going in circles. Then, Doey grabbed another red block towards Poppy and she caught it, before joining the blocks together and spinning them together.
"You're slowly getting better at this." Doey remarked as he wheeled himself a bit closer towards Poppy.
"Why are you shocked I rose from the ash
You can't stop me"
Poppy had just closed her eyes as she made the blocks around her circle her. Eventually she started to pick up the rest of the blocks from the pile and made all of them orbit around her in different directions. Just then, Hoppy entered the testing room.
"Tried to control me, put out the flames
The fire inside me cannot be tamed"
"Hey Poppy!" Hoppy yelled out, making Poppy pause her music and take off one ear of her headphones.
"Ollie just called. The Prototype was just seen at Alkali Lake. I went there personally to check and he was there. I ran back here as fast as I could." Hoppy said which immediately made Poppy get up and walk out of the room.
"Wait, Poppy." Doey said which made Poppy turn around to face him.
"Are you sure that this is the right thing to do? Sure, Doctor Harley Stryker was already defeated by Arch-Angel. But who knows whether The Prototype is ready with a counter-attack." Professor Doey said as he wheeled himself closer to Poppy.
"We have to, this is our chance to finally take down The Prototype." Poppy replied as she followed Hoppy outside the room.
"Is anyone else gonna come with as backup?" Poppy asked Hoppy.
"Angel and Kissy are already on the way, and anyone else will take a while still." Hoppy replied.
"That's fine, Angel already did the impossible with Stryker, and with Kissy, me and you there, we have a pretty good shot." Poppy said, optimistically.
"Well... I can't stay for long. I can only help get you there and then leave, because Dogday needs some help with getting rid of the brainwashing on Catnap, Pianosaurus, and Yarnaby." Hoppy replied as Poppy had gotten a slightly more anxious expression.
"Okay... that's fine. If other people are still gonna come to help then we can just hold off The Prototype for long enough until backup had arrived." Poppy said, which made Hoppy nod.
Hoppy then carried Poppy in a bridal style as she started to move incredibly fast and arrived at Alkali Lake in under a minute. Once ahe got there, they saw Kissy there and Hoppy shortly left after Poppy went to her. There was no sign of The Prototype anywhere, and Angel hasn't arrived yet, so they were trying to call Ollie and see if his information was right, but he wouldn't answer. Eventually, Angel arrived, slowly gliding down towards them with their wings.
"Good, you're here. Are you able to reach Ollie? We can't." Poppy said as Angel walked towards them.
"I don't know, He just told me that The Prototype was here and other people were also gonna come and help take him down." Angel replied as Poppy kept trying to reach Ollie.
"Poppy?" Ollie's voice came out of the radio.
"Ollie! Where's The Prototype? He isn't here." Poppy quickly asked Ollie.
"I'm so sorry Poppy. The Prototype made me do it." Ollie said as what followed was a bit of static. "It's been a while Poppy." A jumbled mess of shifting voices came out of the radio.
"Prototype... What did you do with Ollie?!" Poppy shouted into the radio.
"Kept him on the edge of death until he finally cracked." The Prototype replied, and then quickly cackled a bit.
"Where are you!? Show yourself!" Poppy yelled out. No response came out of the radio. Angel quickly flapped his wings and flew up to scout out the area.
"You're running out of allies, Prototype. And we have backup on the way, so If you are here at Alkali Lake, then you're as good as dead!" Poppy yelled out as Angel just landed back down next to Poppy.
"I did a quick look around but I don't see him." Angel said, just as some static came from the radio again.
"Ollie told everyone else to go elsewhere, you're all alone here. And I can't be found anywhere there, I'll just bring you to where I am. Make sure to land on your feet." The prototype said. Just then, some explosions happened and Angel grabbed both Kissy and Poppy as they flew up to not get caught in the explosion. They were just barely able to avoid the explosion, with Poppy and Kissy's clothes getting a little bit singed. Slowly, they floated back down into the large crater that was leading to the inside of the facility under Alkali Lake. And there was The Prototype in plain view, along with a lot of large cubes of made of pure tungsten.
"We meet at last. Shall we begin?" The Prototype said with it's staticky and shifting voice.
Poppy slowly put on her headphones and restarted the song, and then stances up with Kissy and Angel.
"Burn down the forces holding me back

You can't stop me"
"Let's do this then." Poppy said just as Angel and Kissy leaped forward to face off with The Prototype. At the same time, The Prototype grabbed a couple cubes and launched them at the two, the two were able to dodge them as Poppy was able yo catch them.
"Not bad." The Prototype said as he picked up more cubes.
"Tried to control me, put out the flames
The fire inside me cannot be tamed
Anger, destruction, pleasure and pain
You can't stop me"
Poppy launched the cubes towards The Prototype as The Prototype blocked them with the other cubes.
"I'm burning down the walls
Things you were denying me
You cannot control

Kissy ran forward and dodged the cubes that were lauched towards her and tried to land some punches but The Prototype was able to dodge them. Angel also tried to go in to attack but was promptly blocked by a large tungsten cube.
"Now I can have it all
Why did you lie to me?
You cannot control
This fire inside of me"
Poppy ran forward and tried to stop The Prototype from sandwiching Angel between two cubes by holding them apart for long enough so that Angel could get away. They needed to think of a plan fast since no backup was arriving.
"Don't know if I'm bad or misunderstood
If it's so bad, why is it so good
Wouldn't stop this even if I could
You can't stop me
You see the fire light in my eyes

After a little bit of back and forth and trying to get to The Prototype, Poppy had an idea. She decided to try and talk with Kissy and Angel using telepathy to explain the plan.
"Try to hold the prototype in place as I try to crush his skull with the cubes." Poppy said to both of them as they simply nodded and started to charges forward towards The Prototype.
"I'm burning down the walls

Angel and Kissy was able to bob and weave between the cubes being thrown at them from The Prototype and from Poppy. So after a while they closed the distance between them and The Prototype. And after dodging a few more cubes, they were ready to counter-attack. Things went into slow motion as The Prototype was unable to see the two as they pounce on him.
"They fear what they don't understand
They try to destroy what they're afraid of
This story is about to end
Let me show you what I'm made of"
They were able to grab The Prototype and hold him down for a bit. And Poppy tried to crush The Prototype's head with two large cubes but he was also able to struggle and hold them back for a bit.
"Shadows and secrets crawl to the surface
You tried to bind me, now I have a purpose
Shackles that held me cannot return, cause
You can't stop me
Now you're afraid of what I've become
My power is growing hot as the sun

Kissy and Angel weren't gonna last forever as Poppy tried her hardest to push the two cubes against The Prototype's head. He struggled and struggled as the cubes slowly got closet and closer. And eventually the cubes were now touching The Prototype's head.
"I'm burning down the walls

With one final push, Poppy was able to crush The Prototype head with the two cubes as he went limp. The trio breathed a big sigh of relief as now mutant-kind could have a new reign of peace.
