Hyper Fixation Because Of Binging (Mind feels empty, but I keep on going)

The Smiling Critter's had a new plan for their next adventure, they were about to do a big old binge of some of the best classic Disney movies. Although the leader of the group thought that this was quite the neat but slightly boring idea, it seems that Kickin of all people, had been the one to suggest this through an anonymous voting method. So with everyone agreeing, they set aside their entire day to sleepover at Dogdays' house binge a whole catalog of movies and, ranging from "Cinderella" to "Aladdin". But the movie that everyone seemed to enjoy was "Pocahontas". And as Kickin was watching the movie with the rest of the critters, something just clicked in his head. While the scene of Governor Ratcliffe played, the one about digging up gold and such. He just felt inspired. Like how Crafty usually would get by looking at nature and stuff. So when everyone went to sleep, he swore to himself that he would take that song and make it better.

The next day, Kickin borrowed the keys for Catnap and Dogdays' studio and went inside to record the song. Sure he could've asked them for help, but he already did that for when he wanted their help on asking Bubba for a date. And he just payed them back for the favor, when they asked Kickin to act in the new movie that they were gonna film. So he didn't really want to get into debt just as he payed that one off, so he decided to do this one himself for the time being. Sure he could ask from someone else but he didn't really wanna bother anyone since it was his own thing, his own fixation. So onwards he went on with the process without help.

This decision would best Kickin later down the line, since the cover that he wanted to do was some heavy rock and roll type of song, and he couldn't find anything online about doing a song like this so he had to make it up as he went. The singing part was easy enough of course, he already had experience in singing and his voice wasn't half-bad, it was the literal everything else that threw him for a loop. He didn't know which chords to use on the guitar, and he didn't know how to play half of the instrument's he wanted to incorporate, and overall, he was just not having fun on what he was trying to accomplish. So after about 2 hours of trying and failing, he decided to give up and left the studio.

Dogday and Catnap enter the studio to see that Kickin wasn't there anymore, and that there were lots of loose scribbled paper lying around of lyrics and notes. The duo then eventually figured out that Kickin was trying to record a song but failed miserably, so the duo then decided to get the Smiling Critters together for tomorrow so that they could help out Kickin.

Kickin walked into the studio the next day, wanting to try again but he was met with the entirety of the Smiling Critters. "Hey Kickin! You need some help with what you were doing?" Dogday said with the rest of the critters in tow, smiling wide as the name suggests. "You guys wanna help?" Kickin muttered out meekly. "Of course we wanna help! We're your friends, Kickin!" Dogday happily said. Kickin then had a single tear flow down his face which he promptly wiped away and smiled, very happy that he has such good people to count on.

After a couple of hours of having quite a lot of fun recording the song and playing instruments, they completed the whole thing. And after settling in the recording studio, they played the finished product.

(Dig and dig and dig and diggety. Dig and dig and dig and diggety)

The gold of Cortés
The jewels of Pizarro
Will seem like mere trinkets
By this time tomorrow
The gold we find here
Will dwarf them by far
Oh, with all ya got in ya, boys
Dig up Virginia, boys

Kickin was the lead voice and the rest of the Critters were backup vocals and playing the instruments.

Mine, boys, mine ev'ry mountain
And dig, boys, dig 'til ya drop
Grab a pick, boys
Quick, boys
Shove in a shovel
Uncover those lovely
Pebbles that sparkle and shine
It's gold and it's mine, mine, mine

(Dig and dig and dig and diggety. Dig and dig and dig and diggety)
(Hey nonny nonny nonny, Hey nonny nonny nonny)
Oh, how I love it!
(Hey nonny nonny nonny, Hey nonny nonny nonny)
Riches for cheap!
(Hey nonny nonny nonny, Hey nonny nonny nonny)
There'll be heaps of it
And I'll be on top of the heap!

The song quickly slowed down a bit and took on a lighter feeling for a short time, until it quickly picked up pace again.

My rivals back home
It's not that I'm bitter
But think how they'll squirm
When they see how I glitter!
The ladies at court
The king will reward me
He'll knight me ... no, lord me!

It's mine, mine, mine
For the taking
It's mine, boys
Mine me that gold!
With those nuggets dug
It's glory they'll gimme
My dear friend, King Jimmy
Will probably build me a shrine
When all of the gold is mine

All of my life, I have searched for a land
Like this one
A wilder, more challenging country
I couldn't design
Hundreds of dangers await
And I don't plan to miss one
In a land I can claim
A land I can tame
The greatest adventure is mine!
Keep on working, lads
Don't be shirking, lads
Find the motherload
Then go mine me that gold
Beautiful gold
Make this island
My land!

Make the mounds big, boys
I'd help you to dig, boys
But I've got this crick in me spine
This land we behold
This beauty untold
A man can be bold!
It all can be sold!
And the gold oh oh
The gold is!
Mine!
(In 1607 we sailed the open sea, for glory god and gold and the Virginia company for the new world is like heaven, and the world be rich and free, or so we have been told by the Virginia company, or so we have been told by the Virginia company!)

When the song ended, everyone applauded and cheered for Kickin, who stood up from where he was sitting and did a little bow.
