Came A Time, Where Every Starfall Brought You to Tears Again. (Catnap x Baba Chops)
What a freak accident. Everyone said when they heard the news. Catnap had taken it the worst though, he and Baba were old friends who kept in touch even when they had their own little groups. But after her family found her will, she apparently wanted Catnap to play one of her favourite songs at her funeral. Catnap had never knew she had written her will, nor that he was a part of it. But now, out of respect, he decided to perform at her funeral.
"...And If you carry on this way! Things are better if I stay! So long, and goodnight! So long, and goodnight!"
Catnap had memorized the song long ago, when Baba and him were listening and singing along to the music, but was getting some extra practice in before tomorrow. The day he gets to perform in front of Baba's family, his friends, her friends, and all of their families. He had just fallen asleep when he started dreaming...

He found himself in a large cathedral, Catnap was quite confused since the place where the funeral proceedings would happen is inside a normal funeral home. Behind him he saw Baba laying in the casket, he didn't see her after her death, but she looked ghostly and pale with darkened rings around her eyes and pale white skin. Right in front of him was a microphone with all the people who would be attending the funeral, sitting down on the pews. And behind him were his close bandmates. Dogday on a guitar, Kickin on a bass, Bubba with a viola, and Hoppy on drums. All of them looked like Baba, ghostly and pale. And all of them were waiting for him to perform. So he grabbed the microphone and started singing.
"Long ago. Just like the Hearse you die to get in again. We are so far from you."
Just then, backup dancers appear infront of him.
"Burning on! Just like the match you strike to incinerate! The lives of everyone you know! And what's the worst you take.
From every heart you break? And like the blade you'll stain! Well, I've been holding on tonight!"
The backup dancers had danced dramatically with hints of interpretative and ballet. He also noticed how hard he was singing and belting, unlike how he would do it at her funeral which was far softer and smoother. Catnap had sung with the pain he felt a thousand fold.
"What's the worst that I can say? Things are better if I stay.
So long, and goodnight! So long, and goodnight!"
"Came a time. When every star fall. Brought you to tears again! We are the very hurt you sold! And what's the worst you take. From every heart you break? And like a blade you'll stain. Well, I've been holding on tonight!"
"What's the worst that I can say? Things are better if I stay.
So long, and goodnight! So long, and goodnight! Well, if you carry on this way. Things are better if I stay.
So long, and goodnight! So long, and goodnight!"
He then felt the urge to put his hands together in a prayer position as he put his head down, closing his eyes. Then he heard something or someone shuffling in the casket and landing on the floor.
"Can you hear me? Are you near me? Can we pretend to leave and then. We'll meet again. When both our cars collide!"
Catnap quickly turned when he heard something crash inside the coffin but when he looked, he saw Baba laying in the casket, untouched. Then he found himself outside in the pouring rain, being a pallbearer for the casket, being helped by his bandmates, for some reason still singing. Together, carrying the coffin down the stairs to a hearse, while the backup dancers followed them down with umbrellas.
"What's the worst that I can say? Things are better if I stay.
So long, and goodnight! So long, and goodnight!
And if you carry on this way! Things are better if I stay! So long, and goodnight! So long, and goodnight!"
With the final lyric, he put the surprisingly light casket of Baba inside of the hearse, closing the door. Then all that Catnap saw was darkness for a moment, till he himself had saw Baba in front of him, clad in her funeral gown and makeup.
"Such a beautiful and powerful performance! Such a shame Im unable to see the real thing." Baba said in her unchanging small smile. "I have to ask. Why was everything like this?" Catnap had asked her. "Its simple. This was what was written in my will. But since my family didn't want that, they decided to have this instead." Baba replied. "That's... Very depressing for your funeral." Catnap replied with a dark voice. "Yeah..." Baba trailed off. "I really liked you, you know? I wanted for us to be together." Baba said with a smirk. "Well... I appreciate the gesture, but you know my heart belongs to Dogday." Catnap sadly replied. "I know... Hell of a show you put on though. Kissing him while on stage." Baba said while giggling, getting a chuckle out of Catnap. "Just a dance then? You still remember the ballet I taught you right?" Baba said, breaking them from their laughing. "Sure, just one..." Catnap replied as he took Baba's hand and started moving...

Today is the day. Catnap with his bandmates are ready to perform. The funeral home was far smaller than the expansive cathedral, and the people there looked normal except for Catnap, his bandmates, and Baba herself. There were special instructions in Baba's will to have specific makeup done on her and on Catnap and his bandmates. Making the all of them look ghostly and pale with dark rings around their eyes. And Baba was not wearing the funeral gown he saw her in, but instead a plain black dress."This performance is in memory of Baba Chops. A loving daughter, and a dear friend to many." Catnap said into the microphone as everyone got ready for the song.
"Long ago. Just like the Hearse you die to get in again. We are so far from you."
While singing, Catnap reflected on the final dance Baba and him had done in his dream.
"Burning on! Just like the match you strike to incinerate! The lives of everyone you know! And what's the worst you take.
From every heart you break? And like the blade you'll stain! Well, I've been holding on tonight!"
Catnap sung with power in his voice, every turn and twirl Baba did had engraved itself in his mind, and the image of her smiling while doing so kept popping in his head.
"What's the worst that I can say? Things are better if I stay.
So long, and goodnight! So long, and goodnight!"

So long, and goodnight! So long, and goodnight!"
Catnap even remembers her dance recital long ago, because she performed it again for him in his dream. A wonderful and impressive dance then. But a horrifying and depressing display now, knowing that you are seeing a dead person dance in front of you. Gracefully doing a pirouette, when you know that this person can never do one again. Remembering this, he looked to her casket
"Can you hear me? Are you near me? Can we pretend to leave and then. We'll meet again. When both our cars collide!"
Catnap can see that she didn't move or dance while he was singing, so after a while he turned back to the audience, some tears trickling down his face.
"What's the worst that I can say? Things are better if I stay.
So long, and goodnight! So long, and goodnight!
And if you carry on this way! Things are better if I stay! So long, and goodnight! So long, and goodnight!"
Catnap sung the final notes as the dance that him and Baba shared was coming to a close. She held her arms around his neck, looking up at him. Catnap had shook his head with a saddened expression as he let go of Baba, waving a pitiful goodbye.
