We Might Just Get Away With It

Caitlyn and Violet enter their study in the Kiramman's large, luxurious house and Vi slams the door behind her. Her breath is short and huffy out of anger and embarrassment. All Vi could think of was how she would never be accepted by them, her self worth diminishing by the minute.

After hextech was eradicated, Cait and Vi and some other ex-enforcers and firelights were tasked with creating a safe transition to unite Zaun and Piltover. However, it wasn't as easy as it sounded. A lot of work was required to dismantle the power structures and harmful beliefs held by the enforcers and bring down the former criminal schemes in the undercity. They couldn't call this group of officers enforcers anymore. No, they had to reorganise that system when Cait realised how toxic it had always been, especially after she had been manipulated to become the very pillar of that violent cycle. So now, they named themselves The Reformers.

Their team wasn't just to destroy the structures left by the old world, but they were also really important to rebuild the community and repair damages in both Piltover and Zaun, to create enough of a stable environment fit for a peaceful society.

This is what led Vi to her frustration. Most of the reformers are Piltovians, ex-enforcers who can't manage to let go of their old ways. They only want to focus on drug busts and former crimelords when the community rebuild has been completely neglected. There are still families who have been separated, people with no roof over their heads and cut off from necessary resources like water and food. Cait is leading the whole operation, but there are more than a dozen squadrons of reformers, and Vi's assigned squadron never seems so keen on listening to her ideas, even though she's the leader, just because she's some poor Zaunite who's dating the rich commander. Cait tries to help where she can but with so much on her plate, getting to Vi's issues seems almost impossible on her list of things to do.

"Cait, could you listen to me?” Vi pleaded, but her girlfriend's gaze was a million miles away. “Well, they never want to listen to me. All they seem to care about is making crazy busts and sending more Zaunites to Stillwater.”
Her concerns barely reach Cait. With a million thoughts in her head she can't seem to organise the level and order of everything that she has to take care of. “My squad can't make any progress like this. This whole thing is going to go a thousand times slower if I can't get through to them. You need to help me. You need to do something” Cait slowly walks to the window and stares out at the city, some buildings are intact and others are still in ruin. Vi starts to grow impatient, “Cait, I can't fucking talk to you when you're like this. You give your all to Piltover, aren't you going to leave anything for me?”

“Well I'm sorry, Vi,” she snaps back, “but this isn't my biggest concern right now.” She sighs frustratedly, “I don't understand, you're the one who used to be the fighter. Always punch first and ask questions later. You're not exactly out of your depth here.” Vi's chest rises and falls solemnly. Vi used to be the fighter. But after losing everyone she knew, Vander for the third time, losing Powder, she felt it was finally time for her to put down her gauntlets. Vi wanted to use her passion not for violence, but to help people rebuild, just like Vander did in The Lanes. She thought Cait had realised that by now.

“You know I'm not that person anymore.” She sighed heavily, “After Powder and my dad… you know that life is over for me. But they don't see me that way. All they ever see me is as the street rat that'll steal their precious jewelry. By helping me you'll help change the prejudices top-siders have of us.”

“I don't know Vi. I guess I just expected that maybe my girlfriend, who sees how stressed I am over this whole situation, could cut me some slack and resolve her own issues.” Cait huffs and paces over to her desk. Those words pierce through Violet's stomach like a knife.

“Fine then. I guess we keep going like this. Oil and water, Vi and Cait thriving by themselves.” She storms out of the room, leaving Cait to sit in her armchair, defeated. She looks at her hands, finally processing what was happening only moments ago. She cups her face in her hands and mentally beats herself up for managing to direct that conversation in the worst way possible. 'Damn Cait, did you really just do that?' She thinks to herself angrily. She brings up her knees to her chest, weighing her feet down on the chair and pulls back the navy blue hair so she can lean on the cushion. Caitlyn feels the weight of the day bearing down on her like a thousand bricks, even more crushing now that she's alone. She pictures Vi's frustrated face, as the guilt of letting her down piles onto the heavy heap. 'Right,' she thinks to herself, 'I am going to change these reformers. I have to think of a way.'

A while ago, when Violet realised that she was getting way too used to the comfy Piltover lifestyle, she decided that she needed her own space where she could really feel like herself. In the Kirammens' freakishly large backyard, it opened to a small forest. That's where Vi had decided to hang an old punching bag on a low hanging tree, seeing as she decidedly was going to be punching way less people than usual, and some other random objects she could throw around when she was feeling mad or restless. Even though this was probably a sign that Vi needed a bit of therapy, the space was a comfort where she could be alone with her thoughts, and still keep up with her physique.

Now she's having one of those moments. Punching the worn bag relentlessly, never stopping to take a break. Her muscles are getting tired, but that was only more motivation to keep going, fighting through the pain and agony.

There are three faces passing through her mind. The first is Powder, thin and malnourished as she was, and delirious in her persona, Jinx. All she feels is regret for letting that happen to her sister and the reality she could've had if Piltover were able to deliver justice and equality to the undercity. The second is Vander, his rugged face and caring fatherly nature that he used for the whole community. She longs to live up to his legacy, to uphold his values and accomplish his dreams. The other is Ambessa. The war machine, that even in her death it felt like Vi was in an endless battle with her to overcome the toxicity and conflict she left behind in the city.

All this fuels her punches and her desire to punish herself with pain, seething through her teeth as she feels hot tears stream down her eyes. Slowly she feels gravity pulling her limbs to the ground as her body no longer has the energy to keep on. In defeat, she kneels down in the grass and feels the wave of sadness that she was trying to keep at bay hit her at full force. Just as she's about to break down the silence is broken by the familiar footsteps of combat boots behind her. She turns to see Cait's sympathetic face above her. She comes behind Vi to pat her unruly pink hair.

“Tired yourself out yet?” Caitlyn says calmly. Vi sighs deeply as she absorbs her smell of flowers and new fabric. Cait continues until she's in front of Vi and sits down, crossing her legs. She observes Vi's tired face before inhaling to say something, “I'm sorry for the way I acted with you. My mind is all over the place with all these responsibilities and I didn't mean to brush you off.” Even with the eyepatch, Caitlyn's piercing blue-eyed stare was all it took for Vi to melt, like an enchantment. “I'm going to help you. We can solve this problem together, I promise.”

“It's alright. I forgive you, Cupcake.” Vi teases lightly. Cait rolls her eye, pretending to be annoyed at the nickname Vi gave her when they met.

“You know, you should be more careful talking back like that to your superior officer.” Caitlyn teases back, inching closer to Vi.

“Oh, so that's how it's going to be now. You really think you get to boss me around like that… Cupcake?” She replies, trying to provoke her further.

“Well…” She begins, pushing Vi's shoulder lightly so she'll lie in the grass as Cait begins to lean over her. “I think you just won't admit that you like a woman in uniform.” She slowly climbs over Vi's muscular body like a cat.

“Hmm,” Vi pretends to consider it seriously, “I don't think I'm against it, no.” They both chuckle as Cait falls into Vi's embrace and kisses her softly, pouring all her love and affection into her girlfriend's body. She drags her fingers lightly from Violet's neck, to her collarbone and then her chest, cupping her breast and pressing softly as she feels Vi's heart rate jolt and her breath stagger. Cait sits up to pull Vi from her top and remove it as Vi unbuttons her shirt simultaneously. They're immediately thrown back down on the ground and can't keep their hands off each other. Their pace intensifies and Caitlyn moves down to kiss her jaw, moving down to her neck and chest. She holds her breast and kisses around it softly before sucking on her nipple hard, making Vi moan and her body shiver. She does the same to the other side before coming back up to look her in the eyes. Her expression looks euphoric, and Cait feels like Vi is looking into her soul, their bodies and hearts intertwined and in perfect sync. She leans down to her ear.

“I want to take care of you Vi. I want you to feel loved, to feel safe with me.” Cait kisses her on the cheek and Vi feels warm all over. She's no longer in the grass, in the yard, in Piltover or anywhere. She's completely involved and consumed in Caitlyn, like she's the only force grounding her to this earth. Vi cups her face in one hand and brushes her thumb along the eye patch.
“You're my home now, Cait. I'm only me when I'm with you.” They both smile at each other as Cait goes in for another kiss. She grabs Vi's hand, interlocking their fingers and holding it on the grass. With her mouth brushing against her skin, Cait makes her way down Vi's body until she reaches her pants. She uses the opportunity to take in the view of Vi, topless and muscular, her chest rising and falling heavily, panting from the anticipation.

“Is it ok if I take these off?” Cait asks genuinely. Vi almost lets a moan escape from the excitement of her girlfriend asking for permission.

"More than ok, Cupcake” Are the words she manages to formulate before Cait impatiently unbuttons and tears off her pants and boxers at the speed of light. Slowly, she begins to kiss her lower stomach and hips, letting her tongue run along Violet's skin. She pauses a moment before moving downwards and kissing her inner thigh and brushing her fingers along her legs. Vi moans from frustration and her breath gets quicker. “Stop being such a fucking tease!” She laughs looking down at Cait. She returns with a quick smile and descends her tongue directly on her clit, flicking upwards with pressure. Vi throws her head back into the grass and moans loudly, arching her back with the reaction. Cait uses her fingers to separate the flaps before going in again and moving her tongue quickly up and down. Vi feels like her whole body is catching fire as Cait moves her tongue in rapid circles and then sucks on her clit hard. She can barely control the noises she's making, her mind blown by Cait's intensity and determination to make her come. Cait feels herself getting wetter and more excited with every moan that Vi confirms her pleasure. Vi rocks her hips back and forth as she sees stars, completely on the edge of an orgasm. Cait slips her fingers in her girlfriend's wet entrance quickly, tickling the spot deep inside her and Vi almost screams from the pleasure, going absolutely blind from the climax. Cait comes back up to Vi's embrace as her breathing slows from intense to moderate and kisses her lovingly on the cheek. “You're fucking amazing babe.” She says breathlessly, eyes still closed.

“Yeah, I know.” Cait snuggles into Vi's neck.

“Alright,” says Vi, taking a deep breath, “you've had a hard day too, it's my turn now.” She rolls around and pushes Cait beneath her, switching the positions. Her hips slip and fit right between Caitlyn's legs and she almost lets a moan escape from her mouth.

“You don't have to, you know. I know you've been having a bad day, it's ok if you want to relax, or…”

“Trust me, Cupcake,” Vi says, interrupting her, “nothing would please me more.” She leans down for a deep kiss, her tongue licking Cait's and drinking in her soft lips. Her mouth runs lazily across her cheek and she reaches her earlobe. Vi nibbles softly and her girlfriend moans and giggles from the sensation. At the same time, she reaches down to Cait's breast and squeezes it softly, before using her thumb to rub over her nipple, feeling it go rock hard in her hand. Cait's breaths sharpen, and she stutters as Vi begins to suck and bite at her neck, not giving a care in the world to the future inconvenient hickies that she's making. Vi thinks that by marking Cait's body with her's, she's showing off her love to everyone. It's the only way they can physically imprint on each other, like proof of their cosmic entanglement. Vi makes her way down and kisses the valley between Cait's breasts, cupping them on each side and quickly giving attention to both. She continues hungrily down Cait's belly, feeling her abs clench as she giggles at the feeling. As Vi near's her belt, Cait suddenly interrupts her.

“By the way, I definitely want you to remove my pants.” She says, sitting up a bit. Vi responds scoffing playfully.

“So impatient, Cupcake.” She quickly unzips her pants, pulling them down with force and throwing them to the side. She gets down close to Cait's black lace underwear as she moans from the excitement of feeling her girlfriend's breath on her vulva. Vi slowly kisses her over the lace before removing it and tossing it to the side. Her eyes gleam with surprise as she realises how wet Cait is. Her fingers glide down Cait's flaps, and when her tongue makes contact with her clit she returns with a soft moan. She inserts her fingers inside Cait, which makes her body tremble immediately. Vi draws circles around her clit with her tongue as her fingers slide in and out of Cait rhythmically. She cries from pleasure and feels the pressure build up inside of her like a snowball rolling down a hill. She closes her eyes and digs the back of her head into the ground. Vi sucks her clit before replacing her mouth with her thumb and coming up to give Cait a sloppy kiss. She uses her hips to create a stronger rhythm with her hand, rocking back and forth as she kisses Cait's neck. Her body pulses from the pleasure and arches her back to let Vi in deeper. She loses all her senses as Vi moves inside of her at an inhuman speed, curling her fingers deep and rubbing hard on her clit.

“Oh my god I'm so close, I'm going to finish.” She reaches her climax when Vi gives a final reach and latches her tongue onto her ear.
Cait feels euphoric with her girlfriend's weight against her, holding onto her defined shoulders and pulling her in for a grateful kiss.

“Well, it's good to know that I still do it for you.” Vi remarks, resting her head on Cait’s chest.

“You'll always do it for me, Vi.”

“Even though I'm no-good street trash.” She jokes.

“Well, you know what they say. One woman's trash is another woman’s treasure.” Cait replies automatically. Vi looks up at her inquisitively.

“But, then who's trash was I?” Cait ponders for a second.

“Stillwater's?” Vi is silent, staring at her. They both burst out laughing, Cait clenching her stomach. Vi lies down beside her in her arms and stares out at the tree, partially blocking her view of the sky. The shade only just protects them from the sunlight shining above.

“You know, we should probably go inside now,” says Vi, standing up and gathering her clothes.

“Why? It's so nice out here.” Cait replies.

“Well, it's just that sex is a million times better when you're doing it in a comfy bed.” She smirks at her. Cait scoffs offendedly, hitting Vi with her own pants as she slides into her boxers.

“Ugh, you're ridiculous!” She shakes her head at her playfully. Cait quickly throws on her clothes and catches up to Vi, who already started walking away. As she takes her girlfriend's hand she thinks how lucky she is to have Vi. She squeezes Cait's hand as if she were reading her mind, letting her know that the feeling was mutual.
