Everything Ava loves (and hates) about Beatrice

Ava loves the way Beatrice is so fiercely protective. Even with her powers, Ava has no doubt that Beatrice is the stronger of the two. She’s had more training and time to correct her technique, after all. When fighting, Beatrice is fearless, calculating, precise and ruthless. (And hot as fuck while at it). Ava feels lucky to be on the receiving end of Beatrice’s protection, even if it sometimes gets to the extreme, she knows it's coming from a place of love. Beatrice always said she would fight everyone on earth if it meant that Ava would be safe, and Ava would have to hold back her tears each time. No one had cared for her safety in years, not like Bea.

She hates Beatrice’s punctuality. Well, rather, she hates what the stress of being late does to Beatrice. Ava is, unquestionably, not someone who usually plans or structures her days, leading to her running late wherever she goes. Being with someone like Beatrice has definitely made an improvement in Ava's poor time management skills. Even so, the halo bearer is still a time optismit at heart no matter how hard she tries not to be. There are times when it gets the better of Beatrice and she lets it all out freely, in the comfort of their shared space. And Angela had to admit, she sometimes deserved it, but she hated when Beatrice was upset with her. In the end, both of them would apologize to each other, and promise to do better, tomorrow.

Ava loves Beatrice cooking. The last time Ava had a delicious home cooked meal was with her mother, then, she died and got revived like Jesus (🤟🏽) and met Beatrice. Tasting Beatrice cooking was like being back home with her mother. It made Ava all warm and fuzzy inside. Not to mention how talented Bea was in the kitchen, preparing dishes she'd picked up from all around the world. Whenever Ava had a rough day in Switzerland, Beatrice would serve them her favorite dish and let Ava rant as long as she'd like. Come to think of it, the cooking wasn't the thing that made Ava feel at home (although it was astonishing), it was Bea.

She hates when Beatrice talks negatively about herself. It's mostly small comments here and there, stating that Ava and the other nuns would get by just fine without the help of Beatrice. Ava knows that's not the truth. Beatrice is the glue that holds the group together. She's their toughest warrior. Without Beatrice, Ava would be dead by now, with no more second chances. She looks at herself like there's something wrong with her, like she should hate who she is. Ava doesn't understand how Beatrice can't see how beautiful she is, inside and out, and it pains her how little she thinks of herself, especially when Ava thinks the world of her.

Ava loves how Beatrice will always go along with all her shenanigans. She missed out on so much in her life that she never wants to take anything for granted again. There were no excuses or plain walls to hide behind anymore, this was her chance. She wants to act out all her emotions, scream into space and leave a mark on the world. She wants to be childish and ridiculous and confusing. She needs to explore every nook and cranny the world has to offer, needs to learn how to fly and crash land on the moon, needs to feel like she's part of a greater purpose. Ava doesn't only want–but needs–to live her life to the fullest. And there, every step of the way, has been Bea. Beatrice goes out of her way to give life’s best experiences to Ava. And she makes sure to be there when life decides to show its ugly sides. Sweet Bea–who never knows how to say no to Ava–is brought along for every adventure, every silly game, every emotion, and she plants her feet firmly next to Ava’s with a smile on her lips. Beatrice–who just like Ava–is experiencing life for the first time, chose to do it with her, everyday. Ava thinks the best part about living, is Beatrice.

She hates that Beatrice constantly underestimates her. She understands that she's still new to this and hasn't exactly had time to adjust to this new life of hers (literally), but Ava still likes to think that she's just as capable as the rest of the team. Of course Lilith disagreed with Ava on that (like she did most things), but Ava never expected the same from Beatrice. Logically, she knows Beatrice means well, she wants what's right for the mission, and for Ava. But how is Ava supposed to get better if she's not given the chance? She might not be the brightest or coolest or sweetest, but she'd be damned if she let anyone tell her that she doesn't belong here. She is the warrior nun, and she's capable.

Ava loves how Beatrice will bring her flowers for no reason other than she thought they were pretty or they made her think of Ava. She loves Bea’s scent and how easily it rubs off her. Ava loves that Beatrice will always listen to what she has to say, even in the middle of a fight, she would always hear her out. She loves when Bea reads out loud for her from whatever it is she's currently reading. Ava loves that Bea mumbles incoherences in her sleep. She loves that Beatrice will let her pick all the movies they watch, despite most of them being kids movies, because she knows that Ava missed out on so many of them. Ava loves when Beatrice knits her eyebrows together in concentration, a slight pout forming on her lips. She loves how a single touch from Bea can calm her down in an instant. Ava loves the way Beatrice loves her, completely, utterly and full heartedly.

Ava loves Beatrice, plain and simple.
