Chapter 1
He played with the ring in his palm. Today was the day. Today he’d give this beauty he’d crafted to his Morningstar.
To say Alastor wasn’t scared would be a lie. He was terrified. What if Lucifer denied? No. No he wouldn’t. They’d been together for three or so years now.
A year after Pentious had died. On the exact day Heaven had finally acknowledged that redemption was possible.
The hotel crew had left to visit the serpent in Heaven. Alastor and Lucifer had reluctantly gone too. Charlie convinced them both.
She made Alastor come because he was her business partner and she made Lucifer come because he was her dad and she needed his support.
And of course they had to say yes.
To say those few hours in Heaven had been torture couldn’t be further from the truth.
That day, they’d started to slowly but surely fall for one another.
A few more secret dates went around. Soon enough, they’d made everything official. How Lucifer managed to break down his walls, Alastor didn’t know. But he was going to leave a soft spot for the Devil in his heart.
When they revealed the relationship to the hotel, Charlie had been the most excited.
It brought back a part of Alastor that he’d thought he’d murdered all those years ago. A little family. His own. And soon enough, it would be official.
The deer had started getting even more comfortable around the hotel. Around his makeshift family. A few suggestions led to him growing out his god awful bob. He hated it but always felt he’d look queer if he grew his hair out.
Now that he found out he was, there was no point in keeping that atrocious hairstyle.
He started wearing stuff other than his red pinstripe suit. Stuff like button up shirts and different slacks, sometimes even suspenders. He was still classy, just more relaxed with it.
His hair was down to his chest now, and to keep it maintained, he’d tie it up every now and then.
For once in afterlife, he felt at peace. He didn’t need murder and pride to stay safe. Hell knew that if someone tried to lay a finger on the King’s lover, they’d be erased from the face of Hell. Painfully.
Enough reminiscing on the past. It was time for the future. One with his Morningstar.
Alastor placed the ring back in the leather box and tucked it away into his pant pocket. Safe for later.

Breakfast was lovely as usual. Niffty cooked something that fitted everyone’s preferences. Husk drank. Vaggie and Charlie skipped in together, well, Charlie was the one skipping.
Angel tried to flirt with the drunk cat demon as usual. And Lucifer was beaming with happiness as he watched Alastor enter into the dining room and take a seat next to the fallen angel.
“Well good morning Sleeping Beauty. You’re the last one to come.” Lucifer snickered as they exchanged their morning kisses. Charlie melted at the sight in front of her and awed while Vaggie chuckled and shook her head.
“What can I say, a man needs to sleep in every once in a while.” Alastor replied, looking happier than ever being around his angel.
Lucifer didn’t miss the giddy look on his partner’s face.
“What’s got you so happy Mister Radio Demon? Woke up on the right side of the bed for once?” The Devil asked. His genuine question was masked between the jokes. He wanted to know why the deer was so happy. Well, happier and more excited than usual.
Alastor would be damned if he spoiled this lovely surprise for Lucifer. The ring box in his pocket was a lovely reminder of what would happen in just a few short hours.
“Oh nothing, like you said, I ‘woke up on the right side of the bed for once’.”
Little did Lucifer know. This was going to be amazing.
It was going to be…
Perfect.

As everyone was cleaning up the dining table, a loud knock came from the front door. Charlie started squealing because it could be a potential new guest. The princess grabbed her girlfriend’s hand and dragged her out of the dining room and to the lobby.
Lucifer and Alastor shared a knowing glance. Every new guest would be met with an overexcited Charlie and a very stern Vaggie.
Then, soon enough, they’d either be redeemed if they genuinely wish to better themselves, or they’ll be kicked out if they have alternative motives that the deer and the two fallen angels deem dangerous.
What nobody expected was the shrill scream that left Charlie’s throat.
The deer and the Devil both dropped what they were carrying, ignoring the annoyed shout from Niffty who would have to clean the poor shattered plates, and bolted to the front door.
“What? What is it Charlie?” Lucifer asked frantically when he reached his daughter. That’s when his eyes fell on the tall demoness standing at the door.
She was wearing a flowy purple dress that made her lovely slender body stand out.
Her blonde hair swayed in the subtle wind and she wore a kind smile.
Alastor felt his entire world crash down. The rest of the hotel had pooled into the lobby too.
Angel was looking the demoness up and down with intention. Husk was wide eyed and had dropped his bottle of booze. Niffty cackled and ran up to the woman, clinging onto her leg, deeming her the ‘ultimate bad girl’. And Vaggie was terrified.
Lucifer was slowly walking closer to the demon and she opened her arms as if to invite him in for a hug.
Charlie was shaking as sobs wracked her entire frame. She dove into the woman’s arms as she cried in her chest.
Her father soon followed numbly.
“Why…?” They both asked as they hugged the woman.
The demon just shushed them as she rubbed their backs, one hand on each of them.
Everyone else, besides Niffty who was enjoying the sight of the ‘bad girl’ being at the hotel, were gobsmacked.
Alastor was just seething with rage. How dare she return. How dare she come back on the very day that was meant to seal him and his lover’s fate.
Once they three had let go of eachother, Charlie sniffled and wiped her tear stained face with her sleeve. It disgusted Alastor. He could just hand her a handkerchief instead of getting snot on her blazer.
“Guys, this is my mom…Lilith.”
