Everything will be fine again
Lily
Lily woke up with stabbing pains. She had been in the infirmary for three days now.
The day she was due out, Mulciber had better not show his face. To say that Lily was angry would be an understatement.
She'd had a lot of visitors over the past few days. Remus came round at least once a day to check on her. Sirius had also visited her briefly and told her the latest gossip. Surprisingly, Regulus came by as well. Lily hadn't expected to see him, but she had been pleased that he had come to visit her.
Even though Regulus seemed very standoffish at first, he was actually very friendly once you started talking to him. Lily was completely lost in her thoughts when suddenly a voice brought her back.
‘I see you're awake. How are you?’
Standing in front of her was Pandora Rosier, one of the healers in the infirmary. Pandora was a daughter of Apollo, from whom she had received her healing powers. She had just been on shift when Lily had been handed into the infirmary by Remus and Regulus three days ago and had immediately taken her on as her patient.
Pandora's hair was so blonde that it was almost white. She always wore it in elaborate hairstyles. On this day, she had several plaits, which were then twisted into a bun at the back of her head. Her hair was decorated with colourful rings.
Lily realised that she still hadn't answered and was staring at Pandora instead. Hastily, she looked to the ground.
‘I'm all right. My side just hurts a little.’
Pandora smiled gently and sat down on the bed with her.
‘Your wound is developing well. I'll probably be able to discharge you in a day or two. However, you may be left with a scar.’
Lily sighs and looks out of the window. She already had scars. On her left ankle, for example, where she cut herself on a stone during Capture the Flag. Or on her right shoulder when she dodged the lava too late on the climbing wall.
But these scars had all been her own fault. This one would be the first that someone else had inflicted on her.
Suddenly she felt a hand on her shoulder. Pandora was sitting there, looking at her with bright blue eyes. Lily noticed that there were little flecks of gold in Pandora's eyes. It was beautiful. Pandora's whole aura was luminous and calming.
Lily couldn't take it anymore. She began to cry. Without saying anything, Pandora took her in her arms. Lily didn't know how long they sat there like that.
After a while, Lily leant back. She wiped her eyes with the back of her hand.
‘Sorry.’
Pandora took her hand.
‘You don't need to apologise. Everything's all right. Everything is going to be fine again, you hear? Everything is going to be fine again.’
Lily laughed softly.
‘Thank you, Pandora. I think I needed that.’
They looked at each other for a long time. Pandora opened her mouth, but before she could say anything, the door flew open.
Evan Rosier, Pandora's twin brother, stormed into the room. He had the same light hair as Pandora, but while Pandora had colourful rings in hers, Evan wore gold and silver.
Pandora smiled at him.
‘Hi, Evan. Is everything all right?’
The panicked look in his eyes indicated that everything was, in fact, not alright.
‘Pandora. It's Hestia. You have to come. Now!’
Pandora's smile disappeared abruptly. She looked at Lily.
‘I have to go. I'll be back later.’
Hastily, she jumped up and ran out of the room with Evan.
Lily was alone with her thoughts again.
