Friends (or something like that)
Regulus
It was simply unbelievable. After all the years Regulus had been alone. All the years he had been waiting. Sirius has the audacity to ask, how he is. As if nothing had happened. As if he didn't know exactly what was going on at home. Regulus was blind with rage.
After walking aimlessly in one direction for a few minutes, he realised that he didn't know where he was going at all. Great. And he had also lost Peter somewhere along the way. Regulus had just wanted to get away from his brother as quickly as possible.
Suddenly he hears hooves clattering. He didn't realise there were horses here. But when he turned round, there wasn't a horse in front of him. The woman who was now scrutinising him with a stern look was a jet-black mare from the waist down. The woman's upper body was quite ordinary, if you could call it that. She wore a white blouse with a dark green coat over it. On her nose sat a pair of glasses, with rectangular lenses. Her greying hair was pulled back in a tight bun. Regulus realised that he was probably staring, which was why he quickly straightened up. He could have sworn the corner of her mouth twitched upwards briefly, but by then she was looking at him thoughtfully again.
‘Good afternoon, Mr Black. My name is Minerva McGonagall. I am the head of this camp. If you would follow me to the big house, I think we owe you a tour through camp.’
Regulus exhales. He hadn't realised that he had been holding his breath.
‘Of course. Gladly.’
They walked through a small forest together. Without looking at Regulus, Minerva begins to speak.
‘I assume, Mr Black, that you already know, who your divine parent is?’
‘Yes, Ms McGonagall. My father is Zeus. You may know my brother, Sirius Black.’
Minerva smiles.
‘Yes, I do know him. You can call me Minerva, by the way. All campers do.’
Regulus feels a blush spreading his cheeks.
‘Oh, of course. Thank you very much, Minerva.’
When they arrived at the big house, a girl with fiery red hair was already waiting for them. She was a little older than Regulus. Probably about his brother's age. Minerva nodded to her.
‘Mr Black, this here is Lily Evans. She's head counsellor of cabin 6, daughter of Athena. She'll show you around the camp and tell you everything you need to know.’
Regulus nods as he turns to Lily. She looks at him with a curious expression. Before she could say anything, Regulus begins to speak.
‘Before you start asking me questions, I don't want to talk about my brother. Let's just get this tour over with.’
Lily seemed a little taken aback by this statement, but she quickly regained her composure.
‘No problem. Trust me, there's a lot more interesting things going on here than Sirius Black. As you've already heard, my name is Lily. I'll show you the cabins first, including your own. I hope you like it here at camp.
Regulus just nods. Lily seems to be all right.
As they walked towards the cabins, another guy comes towards them. He was very tall, at least 6'3 feet. But his height wasn't the only thing that was immediately noticeable. He had a huge scar across his face. He came to a stop in front of Regulus and Lily.
‘Hey Lily. I see you're giving a tour.’
His amber eyes were now fixed on Regulus. There was something uncertain in his gaze.
‘And you must be the famous Regulus Black. I've heard of you before.’
Regulus sighs.
‘Everyone knows me, but I don't know anyone. That's not quite fair, is it?’
The boy laughed at that.
‘My name is Remus Lupin. Son of Hephaestus.’
