Katherine stared down at Caroline's lifeless body, Katherine had just suffocated her. She had convinced herself she done it just to spite Damon, Stefan and most of all her annoying doppleganger Elena, it wasn't exactly a total lie.. but it wasn't the total truth either. Katherine had took quite the liking to the blonde for a reason she didn't know, Caroline wasn't exactly her usual type. The girl was ditzy and just plain stupid, but oh so beautiful. Katherine was sick of everything she enjoyed getting taken from her.. she wanted something permanent, something that'll last. Even though she had done this twice now, to Damon and Stefan but hey.. third times a charm right?? She slowly walked out of the hospital room, a smug look of satisfaction plastered on her face. But there was that voice nagging at the back of her mind, telling her that Caroline would hate her and what she done was reckless and stupid.. maybe it was.
She quickly shook her head, she was Katherine Pierce she was NEVER stupid.. right?? once she fully exited the building she leaned against a wall, the reality of what she had done crashing down on her. She felt.. guilty?? she didn't even feel like this when she turned the Salvatore brothers.. why is she feeling this way now??
It had been a few days since Katherine turned Caroline, she had heard from sources (her admirable stalking skills) that Caroline was back at home. Later that night she climbed up to Caroline's window peering through, it was slightly open.. perfect. Katherine hoisted herself up crawling through. Her vampiric abilities and her ..questionable life experiences let her go unnoticed by the blonde. Caroline was curled up into a ball on her bed, the girl looked to be in shambles. There it was again.. that guilt, how she hated it. Eventually after some time of watching over her, Katherine decided to make her presence known to the other girl. Caroline shot up staring at her with widened eyes,
"Elena??.." Caroline asked timidly.
"Nope, try again." Katherine spoke.
Caroline's eyes hardened as she spoke "Katherine.."
Katherine plopped into bed beside Caroline, she couldn't help but notice how the blonde's messy hair flowed down her shoulders and how her face was slightly flushed. "delicious" Katherine thought to herself, she quickly pushed that thought aside.
"We're going to have so much fun together." Katherine purred.
Caroline's patience snapped "is this bitch actually serious??" she thought to herself.
"fun?! are you freaking kidding me!!" Caroline snapped.
"fiesty are we??.." Katherine taunted.
"oh I'm sorry.. I shouldn't be so impolite, not like you KILLED ME OR ANYTHING!!" Caroline shouted, her tone dripping with sarcasm.
"yeahh.. I'll admit that was a bit much." Katherine spoke
"A BIT MUCH?! YOU TOOK MY LIFE AWAY FROM ME!!" Caroline was seething.
"I didn't take your life away from you.. I just gave you a new one, a much better one at that." Katherine spoke matter of factly
"Whatever sick kind of fun you have planned, do it with someone else.. I hate you no actually.. I DESPISE YOU!!" Caroline was practically screaming at this point.
Katherine was taken back at that, "she despises me??" she thought to herself. she knew what she did was wrong.. evil even, she knew that Caroline would hate her. But it felt like a knife being twisted in her gut hearing the blonde say it out loud, Katherine swallowed trying to think of something to say.. trying to prove to the blonde she didn't care if she hated her or not. But the words just wouldn't come, she mentally cursed herself for being so affected by a few words but she couldn't deny the sting. If this was anyone else Katherine would have shot back with a snarky retort, or taunted them. But this wasn't just anyone else this was her.. Caroline Forbes, the girl Katherine unwillingly fell for. Katherine stayed silent until she slowly got up from her place on Caroline's bed, staring at her with a mixture of hurt and longing.. the other girl was still roaring out insults but it wouldn't register in Katherine's mind. Her head too clouded with the consequences of her foolish actions, she gave one last lingering look at the blonde before disappearing into the night.
