Apple always kissed Marsh as if she were a god, and she was made to worship her. She kissed the white-haired girl so sweetly, deeply, always too eager. It made her melt. She didn’t know what else she could do when she felt those soft lips on her.
Their first kiss was something she could never forget. It was right after a clumsy confession that Marsh spent weeks planning stacks and stacks of letters, poetry, drawings, and anything you can think of, shoved under her bed and never seen by anyone but her. The final draft wasn’t even used, all her planning leaving her head as soon as those deep green eyes, wide and innocent and so, so beautiful, looked at her. Just one look made her forget everything and forced out an “I’m in love with you.” She remembers being frustrated for a moment before large hands grabbed her small ones, and Apple smiled at her. Before that moment, Marsh had never seen her that happy before.
“Do you mean it?” she asked, her grip on Marsh’s hand tightening slightly. “Do you really like me like that?”
All the shorter girl could do was nod, “Of course I mean it. Why would I lie about something like that?”
It was the right thing to say. Apple smiled more than Marsh thought possible and pulled her close. It was another one of her bone-crushing hugs, which Marsh hated and loved at the same time. “Oh, Marsh! I love you too! I can't believe it!” Shen then picked her up, causing Marsh to squeal and tighten her grip on her.
