"Shit"
EKKO
I'm so dead, Ekko thought as he watched both the adult and teenage Vi glare at him.
"In my defense, you never asked about any of this." Ekko said stupidly pretending to dismiss it when he was almost shitting himself in fear.
Obviously he shouldn't have said that because adult Vi pulled him by the collar of his jumpsuit and pulled him towards her so they were face to face.
"Oh, I'm sorry, you're right. I should have asked if you fucked my little sister." The adult Vi said sarcastically, shaking him roughly.
"He did what?" Little Ekko asked, trying to break free from the teenage Vi's grasp.
"He didn't do anything," Benzo said, placing a hand on the boy's shoulder, calming him down.
"But she said..." Little Ekko complained, pointing at the adult Vi.
"She... She's a fool, she just talks nonsense." Said the teenage Vi, looking angrily at the adult Vi.
The projector lit up again with bright, colorful words.
The next day
"Shit." Ekko said upon seeing that and told adult Vi honestly. "Maybe you want to wait to kill me after this."
"Why? Are you still fucking my sister in this scene?" Adult Vi asked angrily this time in a low voice as she carelessly let go of Ekko.
"No," the man replied, adjusting his clothes before sitting down with a tense body. "Because I'm going to deserve it."
Everyone present looked at him with concern before Caitlyn asked, "What did you do?"
Ekko just shook his head, it was better for them to see it. Janna. He would always regret that morning for the rest of his life.
Everyone looked away from Ekko as the screening of the 3rd scene began.
The same window was seen open, this time a little brighter, there was no sunlight but the Zaunites could tell it was morning, the rain continued to fall gently. Jinx and Ekko were sleeping in each other's arms, they hadn't separated from each other all night. A loud thunderclap sounded, startling the teenagers awake.
"Ugh." Jinx complained, hiding her face in Ekko's chest.
Ekko opened his eyes lazily as he gently stroked Jinx's blue hair. "We should get up, it must be after 11am."
Hearing him say that, Jinx quickly raised her head. "11? Oh no."
"What's wrong?" The boy asked as he watched Jinx get up to look for her clothes that were lying on the floor.
The blue-haired girl froze for a moment not knowing what to say, she was so happy she didn't want to ruin it.
"I-I have to do things." Jinx stammered, getting dressed without looking at Ekko.
The boy looked at her for a moment before frowning, starting to get mad. He got out of bed and started getting dressed too. "Jinx..."
"What's going on? Why are you mad at her?" Powder asked confused.
The girl received no answer because Ekko did not know what to say to her.
Jinx finished changing and walked over to Ekko, placing her hands on his cheeks. "Please don't be mad. I'm just going to do this and we can spend the whole day together after."
Ekko forcefully removed the blue-haired girl's hands from his face and said, "You're still working for that man."
"Work for who?" Mylo asked, feeling a small pain in his chest as he saw Jinx's hurt expression on the projection.
Jinx looked at Ekko with sad eyes, her hands began to shake at the impending fight that she so wanted to avoid. "I-it's just watching over some orders and that's all, it's not... it's not that bad."
Ekko now completely furious looked at her shaking his head. "It's Shimmer, Jinx. He's poisoning the underground city and you're helping him do it."
"Who the fuck is he?" Teenage Vi asked, starting to get annoyed by the tone Ekko was using with Jinx.
"He's doing what's best for the city, it's more than you and your little group of bugs do." Jinx said without looking at his face, she didn't want to hurt him but she wouldn't let him insult her dad.
Ekko looked at her in disbelief. "Are you stupid?"
Vander and both Vi looked at Ekko, almost killing him with their gaze.
If looks could kill, Ekko thought.
The blue-eyed girl looked at him startled by the insult, he had never insulted her and had never questioned her intelligence. But there's always a first time for everything. Tears began to fill her eyes, she had never considered herself an emotional person but with him... everything was different, as always.
Ekko's heart broke into a thousand pieces when he saw those blue eyes he loved so hurt, it hurt him even more to be the cause of it.
Ekko paced angrily around the room with his hands on his waist. "He is hurting many people, he is a bad person, he killed..." He stopped trying to calm his anger but he couldn't.
Jinx looked at him, her body shaking. "It's not like that. He's helping the city, he's not a good person, so what? He loves me."
"How many times do I have to tell you for you to understand? ¡He doesn't love you, don't be stupid, he's just using you!" Ekko snapped.
There was a tense silence in the room. Vander just wanted to know who this man was who was using his little girl, he would take care of him.
"That's not true!" Jinx raised her voice. Flashes began to jump around the room and distorted voices echoed through it. "He's my dad!"
Her dad?, thought adult Vi, did Jinx consider Silco her dad? After everything he did?
A pain settled in Vander's chest as he saw that Jinx considered someone other than him or Connol to be her father, and who was apparently a horrible person.
"Vander is your dad!" Ekko answered almost shouting as he approached her, who shrank her body a little when she saw him in front of her.
"He's dead." Jinx said, lowering her tone to almost a whisper, unable to look Ekko in the eyes.
Ekko didn't even think about what he said next and he would always regret it.
"And whose fault is it?" He said, looking at her with dark, angry eyes.
It was clearly seen how Ekko realized what he said when tears began to fall down Jinx's now dull blue eyes.
Jinx just stared at him in disbelief at what he had just said to her. Her eyes were wide open, unblinking as tears ran uncontrollably down her cheeks.
Before Ekko could react, he was hit by a punch from the adult Vi. He fell to the ground with the corner of his lip bleeding. He could defend himself, but for what? He deserved it.
The adult Vi was held back by Caitlyn and Vander from continuing to hit the man, the pink-haired woman struggled trying to break free. "Let me go! That fucking idiot deserves it!"
Ekko stood up from the ground, wiping away the trickle of blood that was dripping from his mouth. "Let her go."
Caitlyn looked at him in confusion while Vander let go of the adult Vi. The older man had nothing against Ekko but he had made his daughter cry.
The Piltovian stood in front of the adult Vi trying to stop her from fighting. "Let's finish this scene, shall we? You continue later." She said trying to calm the situation.
"What? He says all those things to my little sister and I'm not supposed to hit him?" Adult Vi asked the blue-haired girl.
"I didn't say that, but you have to calm down, you're scaring the kids," Caitlyn said, lowering her voice.
The adult Vi nodded and took a deep breath, her hands shaking with anger. She sat back down and covered her face with her hands. Caitlyn looked at her for a moment wanting to comfort her but she didn't know what to say, she looked at Ekko who was sitting with a sad look and just sighed sitting down.
"Jinx..." Ekko said in a soft tone trying to regret what he said and tried to take her hand but she moved away from him.
"Don't touch me!" Jinx screamed, walking towards the window with her face red and wet from crying. Ekko tried to reach her, stumbling over his words.
"I didn't mean it like that, I'm sorry." Ekko said, his eyes filling with tears. "I'm sorry."
"Fuck you," Jinx said as she walked out the window into the still raining city.
Ekko stared at the window, unable to believe how he had ruined it, tears began to cover his cheeks and loud sobs were the last thing they heard before the scene ended.
